Townhall previously reported how “wokeness” was implemented into the Golden Globe awards last month. This year’s Grammy Awards ceremony was even worse.

Ahead of the awards ceremony, singer Chappell Roan spoke to left-wing organization GLAAD on the red carpet. She went on a spiel about “trans joy” being taken away now that President Donald Trump is in office.

“It’s brutal right now, but trans people have always existed and they will forever exist and they will never, no matter what happens, take trans joy away and that has to be protected more than anything. I would not be here without trans girls. Just know that pop music is thinking about you and cares about you and I’m trying my best to really stand up for you,” she said.

During the actual ceremony, Lady Gaga gave a speech where she claimed that the “queer” community “deserves to be lifted up.”

“I just want to say tonight that trans people are not invisible,” she said. “Trans people deserve love, the queer community deserves to be lifted up.”

Unbelievable: Guess What an Illegal Alien Accused of Murder Was Wearing During the Crime

. . .[A] 63-year-old man was brutally murdered and robbed in Chicago slightly over a week ago. The two suspects apprehended in the case are both illegal immigrants who reportedly crossed the Southern border unlawfully in 2023. The victim’s “body was found tied up at his home in Chicago late Sunday, the same day U.S. border czar Tom Homan and the Justice Department led a large immigration enforcement operation in that city,” Fox News reports. Those raids, which didn’t occur in time to save the man who was murdered, have been condemned, demonized and resisted by the mayor and other top Democrats in Illinois. One of arrested migrants was not only known to police prior to allegedly committing this brutal killing, but had been arrested days prior:

A 21-year-old man who was arrested in Norwood Park on Jan. 12 in connection with a reported child luring incident is now facing charges in the murder and robbery of a 63-year-old man who on Jan. 26 died in the basement of a relative’s home, also in Norwood Park on Chicago’s NW Side. A possible second suspect, who reportedly lives in Norwood Park, also is in custody for the murder of George Levin…he luring incident on Jan. 12 involved a man who reportedly called two girls, ages 12 and 13, over to his vehicle in the 6200 block of North Sayre Avenue, according to Chicago police. The man was arrested on suspicion of child luring, but the charge was reduced to simple assault, and he was released from custody the next day, police said.

Despite the arrest on suspicion of trying to lure two young girls into his car — which, as the story notes, was downgraded to a simple assault arrest — he was turned back onto the streets almost immediately. Chicago police were, of course, barred by “sanctuary” policies from involving the feds in the situation, actively protecting this illegal immigrant. Roughly two weeks later, the very same department was was pursing that very same illegal immigrant for murder. Both suspects have been charged with murder and robbery. I’ve heard that an ICE detainer was placed on that suspect over the luring arrest, but it was explicitly not honored, per Chicago’s pro-crime, pro-illegal immigration policies. It gets worse. Fox’s Matt Finn reveals more shocking details, starting with the very first bullet point here:

Bello (suspect) was wearing an ICE/DHS monitoring device on his ankle during alleged murder.

– Victim’s sister heard loud noises upstairs, checked-in & her brother’s alleged killer’s assured her brother is ok. After they left, she eventually breaks down brother’s door and “discovered him on the floor, cold to the touch, his hands wrapped together in duct tape, his feet tied together with an electrical cord, a sock stuffed in his mouth and securedin place with duct tape, and his pants down, exposing his genitals. Sister peeled away enough of the duct tape from the V’s mouth to remove the sock, called 911, and performed CPR while she waited for emergency responders to arrive. The victim sustained a hemorrhage to the neck, a subdural hemorrhage to the head, and rib fractures. The Medical Examiner discovered petechiae in the V’s eyes and cannot yet rule out asphyxiation.”

Female Helicopter Pilot’s Entire Social Media Scrubbed Before Army Releases Her Name

On Saturday, the U.S. Army released the name of the pilot of the U.S. Army Blackhawk helicopter that flew into a passenger jet landing at Reagan National Airport.

The crash was on Wednesday. The third pilot’s name, Rebecca Lobach, was finally released on Saturday, three days later. . .

After withholding at the request of the family the name of the female pilot killed in the mid-air collision Wednesday night between an Army Black Hawk helicopter and a PSA/American Airlines passenger plane on final approach to Reagan National Airport near Washington, D.C., the Army issued a statement Saturday afternoon from her family identifying the pilot as 28-year-old Capt. Rebecca Lobach from Durham, N.C.

Lobach, who had over 450 hours of flying experience, recently served as a military social aide at the Biden White House.

It took the US Army and Rebecca’s family three days to scrub her social media accounts. They really don’t want the public to know anything about this female pilot.

‘We Will Find You, And We Will Kill You’: Unclassified Video Shows Trump-Ordered Strike On Terror Group’s Senior ‘Attack Planner’

The U.S. military struck Islamic State terrorists in the Horn of Africa on Saturday, killing several of them, Department of Defense officials said.

“At President [Donald] Trump’s direction and in coordination with the Federal Government of Somalia, we authorized U.S. Africa Command to conduct coordinated airstrikes today targeting ISIS-Somalia operatives in the Golis mountains,” Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said.

The strikes killed multiple terrorists without harming civilians, according to the U.S. Africa Command’s (AFRICOM) initial assessment. AFRICOM said it “takes great measures to prevent civilian harm” to “promote a more secure and stable Africa.” The Command added that it would continue to evaluate the results of the strikes but would not release the specifics of the operation for security reasons.

Trump said the strikes targeted a “Senior ISIS [Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham] Attack Planner and other terrorists he recruited and led in Somalia” and killed many of the terrorists in their hideouts in caves without harming civilians. Lloyd Austin’s Ex-Chief of Staff Attacks Pete Hegseth Over Plane Crash

Former President Joe Biden’s Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, and former Chief of Staff, Kelly Magsamen, have sparked controversy by launching a personal attack on Pete Hegseth after a fatal plane crash involving a military helicopter and an American Airlines aircraft. In a sharp rebuke, the former defense official, who helped Austin cover up his absence from the Pentagon during a health crisis in January 2024, attacked Hegseth for his comments about DEI and falsely accused him of blaming the female co-pilot, Capt. Rebecca Lobach, for the incident.

Fox News Pentagon reporter Jennifer Griffin first reported on Magsamen’s comments toward Hegseth, accusing him of mismanaging his first crisis as the secretary of defense under the Trump administration, adding that “so far it’s not a good sign.”

Secretary Hegseth has a lot to learn. When you speak as the Secretary of Defense, the entire force and their families are listening. They are looking to him for leadership and support, not suspicion. For him to imply that this pilot was not qualified because of her gender is absurd. He should be supporting a thorough unbiased investigation and supporting all three of these Army families. To add a layer of stress to this one family in their time of grief is shocking. Imagine having to worry about political attacks on your daughter while grieving. The Secretary should be showing leadership and consoling the families and overseeing an unbiased investigation. This is the first crisis he has had to manage and so far it’s not a good sign.

However, while Hegseth spoke broadly about DEI initiatives, he did not blame DEI for the deadly crash that killed all sixty-four passengers and crew onboard the American Airlines plane, as well as the three crew members on the Black Hawk. Trump’s Order to Reinstate With Back Pay Isn’t Enough for Many Service Members Ousted Over Vax Mandate

President Donald Trump recently signed a series of executive orders for the military, addressing transgenderism, diversity, COVID-19 and more.

One of them offers to reinstate service members forced out of the military as a result of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s now-rescinded August 2021 vaccine mandate.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem will be tasked with ensuring both active and reserve components of the military who request reinstatement will be restored to their prior rank and provided back pay and benefits.

Fox News recently reported that, according to a White House fact sheet, “After the vaccine mandate was repealed in 2023, only 43 of the more than the 8,000 troops dismissed elected to return to service under the Biden Administration and Secretary Austin.”

According to Trump’s EO, “Federal Government redress of any wrongful dismissals is overdue.” For many, it’s a big step in the right direction, but is it enough to persuade former members of the military to return to service? This writer has personally spoken to hundreds of service members over the past three years who desire accountability for the military’s unlawful enforcement of the shot mandate. CEO of Canada’s 2nd Biggest Company Defends Trump’s Tariff Demands, Slams Trudeau for Not Stopping Trade War

The CEO of Canada’s second-largest publicly traded company says Canadians want their government to do all the things that President Trump is demanding — and slammed outgoing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for not preventing the trade war.

Trump, 78, on Saturday, signed an executive order to slap 25% across-the-board tariffs on America’s northern neighbor, citing its failure to meet his demands on helping crack the fentanyl and illegal immigration trade.

“Canada thrives when it works with America together. Win by helping America win. Trump believes that Canada has not held its side of the bargain,” Tobi Lutke, who co-founded Shopify, wrote on X.

“These are things that every Canadian wants its government to do, too. These are not crazy demands, even if they came from an unpopular source. These tariffs are going to be devastating to so many people’s lives and small businesses.”

Lutke’s withering critique came in response to a clip of Trudeau announcing 25% retaliatory tariffs on $107 billion worth of US goods and pushing for policies targeting red states. ‘I Refuse to Be Their Puppet’: Greatest Hits From Tulsi Gabbard Firing Back at Democrats During Nomination Battle

Tulsi Gabbard faced a fierce grilling from Senate Democrats at her confirmation hearing, but she showed that she was more than willing to fight back just as hard.

Gabbard was handpicked by President Donald Trump to serve as director of national intelligence, but Democrats attempted to dredge up past statements to derail the nomination this past week.

Gabbard took on the main criticism against her during her opening statement when she attacked the notion that she had been the puppet of foreign interests.

“I want to warn the American people who are watching at home: You may hear lies and smears in this hearing that will challenge my loyalty to and my love for our country,” she said.

Transportation Secretary: FAA Warning System Outage Could Cause Flight Delays

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced Saturday that a warning system outage could cause flight delays throughout the United States, according to U.S. Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy.

“The primary NOTAM [Notice to Air Missions] system is experiencing a temporary outage, but there is currently no impact to the National Airspace System because a backup system is in place,” Duffy said in an X post.

“NOTAMs provide updates about anything that may effect the safety of a flight,” Duffy continued. “All active NOTAMs were available until the time of the outage. The agency activated its contingency system to supplement and support preflight briefings and continue flight operations.”

The transportation secretary went on to say, “The [Federal Aviation Administration] is working to fully restore the system, and there may be some residual delays tomorrow morning.”

Trump Tariffs Rock Canada

Former Deputy Prime Minister of Canada Chrystia Freeland said Sunday on CNN’s “Fareed Zakaria GPS” that Canadians were “furious” because President Donald Trump had challenged their sovereignty.

Zakaria said, “You’ve talked about, uh, you know, 100% tariffs on some things. You talked about a boycott of American goods, which would not be a formal legal thing, but you’re just urging Canadians to stop buying American goods when they go to grocery stores. Is it also are you also thinking in your proposals of doing something on oil? You know, we import a lot of oil from Canada.”

Freeland said, “I’m glad you mentioned the boycott because that is already happening across the country. Americans have to understand how hurt and, frankly, how furious Canadians are. Our sovereignty is being challenged. So, yeah, regular Canadians across the country are coming up with ways to stand for Canada, to fight for Canada, to defend Canada, but mostly to say to our American neighbors, guys, just cut it out. Just stop it. This is a terrible idea.”
