Tulsi Gabbard’s Critics Claim She’s Unqualified — Despite ‘Massive Failures’ Of Her More ‘Experienced’ Predecessors

Tulsi Gabbard’s skeptics in the Senate have questioned her qualifications for Director of National Intelligence (DNI), but past DNIs who were confirmed with bipartisan support oversaw flagrant civil liberties abuses and major intelligence failures.

Many of the Democrats, and even some of the Republicans, who have expressed skepticism toward Gabbard supported her predecessors in the Biden and Obama administrations.

Gabbard’s harshest opponent, Virginia Democrat and vice chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee Sen. Mark Warner, implied in his opening statement that she may be legally unqualified for the position. The DNI is required to have “extensive national security expertise,” Warner said.

Gabbard is a Lieutenant Colonel in the National Guard, and she served in the Army National Guard for over twenty years where she was deployed to Iraq and Kuwait. Gabbard also served on the House Armed Services committee as a member of Congress from 2013 to 2021.

Republican Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell has been notably silent on Gabbard’s nomination. He was also one of the Republicans who voted against confirming Pete Hegseth for Secretary of Defense. Largest Hedge Fund Founder on Why U.S. Is on Brink of Economic ‘Heart Attack’

The United States is currently in a “death spiral” of debt that could lead to an economic “heart attack” if both parties do not work together to start cutting immediately, according to Ray Dalio, the founder of the world’s largest hedge fund.

During a recent conversation on “The All-In Podcast” with co-host David Friedberg, Dalio noted that a “death spiral” typically refers to when a company or government has too much debt and must borrow to service it. According to Dalio, investors are acutely aware of this, which is causing credit to get worse and interest rates to increase.

Dalio, the Chief investment officer of Bridgewater Associates, says this is the worst thing that can happen to a heavily indebted entity. He notes that the key question is whether the debt creates a large enough income to mitigate this issue.

“That’s like, I don’t know, eating vegetables or something. It’s a healthy process. And if not, credit begins to build up this debt, it begins to become like plaque in the arteries. And you can measure it just like you could measure it in the arteries, and you can see how it constricts that circulatory system,” Dalio told “All-In.”

If interest and debt service continuously constrict a government’s money supply, Dalio claims this can lead to an “economic debt heart attack.” (Read more from “Largest Hedge Fund Founder on Why U.S. Is on Brink of Economic ‘Heart Attack’” HERE)

Trump Restores ‘Maximum Pressure’ Policy to Keep Iran From Possessing Nukes

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Tuesday that reinstates the “maximum pressure” policy on Iran that he implemented during his first term.

The “maximum pressure” executive order was part of a larger package of executive orders that included several foreign policy initiatives, such as withdrawing America from several United Nations agencies including the Human Rights Council and UNESCO. Much of the pressure will be financial, as the executive order tasks the Department of the Treasury to implement sweeping sanctions to keep money out of the pockets of the Iranian regime.

Iran is the world’s premier state sponsor of terrorism, funding and controlling a complex web of jihadist entities including Hamas, Hezbollah, a host of Iraqi Shiite militias, and the Houthi terrorists of Yemen. In 2o18, a State Department study estimated that Iran spends as much as $1 billion a year funding terrorism.

“Iran spends $700 million a year on Lebanese Hezbollah. It gives another $100 million to various Palestinian terrorist groups, including Hamas,” then-Ambassador-at-Large and Coordinator for Counterterrorism Nathan Sales told reporters. “Combined with the money that Tehran provides to other terrorists, the total bill comes close to $1 billion a year.”

During his first term as president, Trump similarly implemented onerous sanctions on Iran that significantly limited its malign influence in the Middle East. Trump also designated the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a wing of the Iranian military, a foreign terrorist organization, and eliminated IRGC Quds Force chief Qasem Soleimani in an airstrike in 2020. Soleimani was largely responsible for coordination among several major Iranian terror proxies, leaving Tehran’s efforts to control jihadist activity hampered. Trump: U.S. Will Take Over Gaza, ‘We Will Own It’

President Donald Trump said Tuesday that the U.S. would take over Gaza and remove debris, tunnels, and explosives left there by Hamas after the war with Israel, adding that he saw America taking a “long-term ownership position.”

Trump said: “The US will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will do a job with it too. We’ll love it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous bombs and other weapons on the site… and get rid of the destroyed buildings [and] create an economic development that will supply unlimited numbers of jobs and housing.”

The surprise announcement came as the president spoke alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the first foreign leader to visit Trump since his Inauguration last month.

Trump had previously said that he would like to see most, or all, of the Palestinian population of Gaza moved to another Arab or Muslim country.

The idea of actually taking over Gaza, and establishing a U.S. presence, was both unexpected and completely new.

After Trump EO, Hospitals Push Gender Dysphoria While Claiming No Trans Surgeries On Kids

Hospitals around the nation claim they are ceasing their child mutilation and sterilization programs after President Donald Trump effectively ended the flow of taxpayer-funded radical gender ideology.

Less than one week after Trump’s monumental executive order, institutions whose stream of federal tax dollars is threatened by their participation in life-altering and often permanent operations announced their intent to scale those back or even end them altogether.

Doctors at New York University Langone Health allegedly quietly canceled two appointments designated to equip children with drugs that would chemically castrate them. As the New York Times noted on Saturday, however, the hospital system “has not made any public announcements” about the future of its mutilation and sterilization programs.

Denver Health told the Associated Press that it would cease “gender” surgeries for minors to preserve its status as the recipient of more than $89 million tax dollars a year. As the AP pointed out, however, it is “unclear” whether the hospital will continue the cross-sex hormones or puberty blockers also barred under Trump’s order. Instead, Denver Health emphasized that Trump’s order is “broadly worded” and committed to advancing radical gender ideology in ways untouched by the White House’s reach such as transgender voice therapy, according to KUSA.

“Denver Health is proud to be one of a very small number of providers of comprehensive care services to all of our patients including to LGBTQ+ and gender-diverse patients. As we navigate the order’s requirements, we will continue to provide primary and behavioral health care to all impacted youth and will work to maintain the level of trust we have built with the LGBTQ+ community,” Denver Health said in a statement. Illegal Alien Allegedly Stole U.S. Citizen’s Identity, Committed Voter Fraud

An illegal alien faced voter fraud charges on Monday in federal court, after he allegedly lived in America for years under a citizen’s stolen identity.

Carlos Jose Abreu, a 45-year-old national from the Dominican Republic, faces charges of “impersonating a United States citizen when registering to vote and when voting in a federal election,” according to a Department of Justice press release. He also faces a charge for unlawful possession of a firearm.

“If convicted on the voter fraud and gun charges, Abreu faces up to 15 years in federal prison,” the release reads. “He is also subject to deportation.”

Abreu, of Broward County, Florida, allegedly used the stolen identity of an American to register to vote in September 2020 and to vote in November 2022, the release said. He had “been living in the United States under the assumed identity of the American citizen victim for about 18 years.”

The man has lived in America ever since he first entered illegally close to 20 years ago, according to the release. New Jersey issued an arrest warrant for Abreu in 2007 for charges of kidnapping, criminal restraint, endangering a child, and sexual assault. (According to court records, the latter two charges are still “outstanding,” and the case has been “transferred.”) He then relocated to Florida and allegedly stole an American citizen’s identity and acquired a Florida driver’s license and applied for a passport using the stolen identity, the release said. Vance Exposes DEI ‘Scandal’ Involving Air Traffic Controllers

Vice President JD Vance offered insight into President Donald Trump‘s comments about how DEI policies were a factor in the deadly mid-air collision between an American Airlines jet and Army Black Hawk Helicopter near Reagan National Airport in the Washington, D.C., area last week.

Fox News anchor Maria Bartiromo asked Vance if he had any evidence that any of the employees at the control were “DEI hires” during a “Sunday Morning Futures” interview.

“No, the president’s been very clear about this. This is not saying that the person who was at the controls is a DEI hire,” Vance replied, adding: “Let’s just say, first of all, we should investigate everything. But let’s just say the person at the controls didn’t have enough staffing around him or her because we were turning people away because of DEI reasons. There is a very direct connection between the policies of the last administration and short-staffed air traffic controllers. That has to stop.”

Vance continued his answer by responding to the media coverage of Trump’s remarks in the wake of the tragedy in which 67 people were killed.

“By the way, it’s so funny to me. The media has picked up on this — not you, of course, Maria — but others have picked up on this. The president made very clear that he wasn’t blaming anybody, but he was being very explicit about the fact that DEI policies have led our air traffic controllers to be short-staffed. That is a scandal,” Vance said. “Thankfully, it’s a scandal that the president has stopped.” (Read more from “Vance Exposes DEI ‘Scandal’ Involving Air Traffic Controllers” HERE)

Musk Rips ‘Fraudulent’ Taxpayer Handouts as DOGE Team Uncovers Shady Financial Secrets

Tech billionaire Elon Musk ripped alleged “fraudulent” Treasury payments on Saturday as reports circulated that the Department of Government Efficiency has gained acces to the federal government’s payment system as the second Trump administration continues cutting what they say is government fat and overspending.

“The @DOGE team discovered, among other things, that payment approval officers at Treasury were instructed always to approve payments, even to known fraudulent or terrorist groups. They literally never denied a payment in their entire career. Not even once,” Musk, the chair of DOGE, posted early Saturday morning to X.

Musk’s post came just ahead of the New York Times reporting Saturday afternoon that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent granted DOGE personnel access to the payment system. The Treasury spends roughly $6 trillion per year on payments for federal agencies.

The ranking Democrat on the Senate Finance Committee, Oregon Sen. Ron Wyden, posted to social media on Saturday that he has also been informed that DOGE was granted access to the system.

“Sources tell my office that Treasury Secretary Bessent has granted DOGE *full* access to this system. Social Security and Medicare benefits, grants, payments to government contractors, including those that compete directly with Musk’s own companies. All of it,” Wyden posted to social media site BlueSky on Saturday evening. (Read more from “Musk Rips ‘Fraudulent’ Taxpayer Handouts as DOGE Team Uncovers Shady Financial Secrets” HERE)

Canada Caves: Trudeau Submits to Trump, Announces 30-Day Pause on Tariffs

By Breitbart. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has caved to President Donald Trump’s demands to crack down on fentanyl trafficking and to reinforce the Canada-U.S. border after threatening retaliatory tariffs in response to Trump’s.

“I just had a good call with President Trump,” Trudeau announced in a Monday X post, shortly after 4:30 p.m.:

“Canada is implementing our $1.3 billion border plan — reinforcing the border with new choppers, technology and personnel, enhanced coordination with our American partners, and increased resources to stop the flow of fentanyl,” said Trudeau, who announced his intention to resign as prime minister and as leader of the Liberal Party last month.

He continued in his post to declare that nearly 10,000 frontline personnel “are and will be working on protecting the border,” and announced a new commitment to “appoint a Fentanyl Czar.”

In his country’s fight against drug trafficking, Trudeau added that cartels will be designated “as terrorists,” the border will be under “24/7” watch, and a Canada-U.S. Joint Strike Force will be launched to “combat organized crime, fentanyl and money laundering.” (Read more from “Canada Caves: Trudeau Submits to Trump, Announces 30-Day Pause on Tariffs” HERE)

Trump Agrees to Pause Tariffs on Canada and Mexico but Not on China

By BBC. President Donald Trump has agreed to hold off imposing 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico for 30 days, pulling the North American neighbours back from the brink of a potentially damaging trade war.

After last-minute calls with Trump, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau agreed to reinforce his country’s border with the US to clamp down on migration and the flow of the deadly drug fentanyl.

Earlier, Trump made a deal with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum. She agreed to reinforce the northern border with troops. In return the US would limit the flow of guns into Mexico.

But a US tariff of 10% on Chinese imports has come into effect, after a deadline of 00:01 EST (05:00 GMT) on Tuesday passed.

Shortly after, Beijing announced it was imposing retaliatory tariffs on a raft of American products, including 15% on coal and liquefied natural gas and 10% on crude oil and agricultural machinery. (Read more from “Trump Agrees to Pause Tariffs on Canada and Mexico but Not on China” HERE)

Rubio Says El Salvador Will Take Deportees From U.S. Of Any Nationality

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said late Monday that El Salvador’s president has offered to accept deportees from the U.S. of any nationality, including violent American criminals now imprisoned in the United States.

President Nayib Bukele “has agreed to the most unprecedented, extraordinary, extraordinary migratory agreement anywhere in the world,” Rubio said at a signing ceremony for an unrelated civil nuclear agreement with El Salvador’s foreign minister.

“He’s also offered to do the same for dangerous criminals currently in custody and serving their sentence in the United States even though they’re U.S. citizens or legal residents,” Rubio said. He had just met with Bukele at his lakeside country house outside San Salvador for several hours. (Read more from “Rubio Says El Salvador Will Take Deportees From U.S. Of Any Nationality” HERE)
