One Name Rises up as Campaign Chief Says Clinton Run May Be Doubly Historic

maxresdefaultAs the primary process draws closer to convention, candidates on both sides of the aisle are beginning to consider possible running mates.

According to Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman, John Podesta, the Democratic front-runner will be open to the possibility of an all-female ticket.

“We’ll start with a broad list and then begin to narrow it down,” said Podesta to the Boston Globe. “But there is no question that there will be women on that list.”

For many, this raises suspicions that Clinton will try to tap Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), who is wildly popular among some leftists for her far-left progressive ideology.

As the Democratic primary becomes more and more contentious, Clinton will need to find a means of creating inroads with disenfranchised supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders, and Warren may very well serve that purpose.

Warren is seen as an outsider of sorts who opposes the status quo through her relentless attacks on Wall Street and campaign contributions, a particular point of contention among supporters of Sanders. European Nations Join Transgender Jihad Against North Carolina, Mississippi Stand for Traditional Values

Respect_and_Equality_for_All_Trans_People_(4764133272)_(2)The Foreign Office has updated its travel advice for the United States, warning gay and transgender travellers to be careful in the US due to legislation in North Carolina and Mississippi.

Newly-passed laws in both states allow businesses to refuse service to LGBT people, and the so-called “bathroom law” – a ruling that transgender people must use the bathroom that corresponds to their gender on their birth certificate – has sparked waves of protest and business boycotts.

“The US is an extremely diverse society and attitudes toward LGBT people differ hugely across the country,” the update states. “LGBT travellers may be affected by legislation passed recently in the states of North Carolina and Mississippi. Before travelling please read our general travel advice for the LGBT community. You can find more detail on LGBT issues in the US on the website of the Human Rights Campaign.”

Ty Cobb of the Human Rights Campaign described it as “both frightening and embarrassing that one of our nation’s staunchest allies has warned its citizens of the risks” of travelling to the US.

Pro-Gun Republican to Replace Andrew Jackson on $20 Bill

dollar-1342115_960_720We’ve been teased for the better half of the past year about changes coming to our currency. First we were told a woman would be replacing Alexander Hamilton on the $10 bill – only to then find out she’d only be on the back of the bill. Many liberals complained that whatever woman did eventually make it onto the $10 would be getting the “back of the bus” treatment.

Some suggested that a woman on the $20 would be more appropriate. Andrew Jackson was, after all, opposed to a central bank (which we have today in the form of the Federal Reserve System).

It looks like the Treasury ran with that idea. As the New York Times just reported, the Treasury has axed their original plan, and it’s now the $20 getting a facelift.

The Treasury Department will announce on Wednesday afternoon that Harriet Tubman, an African-American who ferried thousands of slaves to freedom, will replace the slaveholding Andrew Jackson on the center of a new $20 note, according to a Treasury official, while newly popular Alexander Hamilton will remain on the face of the $10 bill.

Purple Heart Ceremony Held for Marines Slain by Terrorist – Guess Who Doesn’t Show?

maxresdefaultTribute was paid Wednesday to four brave Marines who lost their lives too soon, and in a most horrific and unjust way.

You might recall the heinous terrorist attack that occurred at two military installations in Chattanooga, Tennessee back in July, 2015 — that’s when a man named Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez opened fire, first on a recruiting center, then on a U.S. Navy Reserve center. Before the terrorist was shot dead by a police officer, he claimed the lives of four Marines and one Navy sailor and injured a Marine recruitment officer . . .

Now, Military Times reports that Purple Heart medals were presented to the families of the Marines slain as well — Gunnery Sgt. Thomas Sullivan, Staff Sgt. David Wyatt, Sgt. Carson Holmquist and Lance Cpl. Squire “Skip” Wells: . . .

“Our brothers were taken from us; your sons, your husbands, your fathers, your brothers were taken from us,” McMillian said, according to a Marine Corps news release. “But what cannot, and will not ever be taken from us is the incredible impressions they made on each and every one of us” . . .

But guess who was missing? Based on the report, no mention was made of any representative from the Obama administration attending the service. This comes as no shock, however, given that the only lives in which the administration feigns interest are criminals shot in self-defense by white police officers. New Powerful Earthquake Strikes Ecuador

1024px-Chuetsu_earthquake-earthquake_liquefaction1A powerful earthquake measuring 6.0 magnitude struck off Ecuador’s disaster-stricken coast on Thursday, as survivors of an earlier deadly quake that killed 587 people clamored for food, water and medicine in parts of the disaster zone.

The latest quake’s epicentre was 100km (62 miles) north-northwest of Portoviejo and at a depth of 10km (six miles), said the US Geological Survey (USGS).

President Rafael Correa said on Twitter that three aftershocks were registered on Thursday night, adding “have strength!”

Meanwhile Cesar Navas, the security minister, reassured his compatriots that so far there is no threat of tsunami. There are no reports of damage so far.

On Saturday the Andean nation was struck by a 7.8-magnitude quake, the worst to hit the South American country in decades, causing hundreds of buildings to collapse and damaging roads and other key infrastructure in tourist areas. (Read more from “New Powerful Earthquake Strikes Ecuador” HERE)

Pro-Abort Students Bake Baby Cookies, Then Bite Heads Off

CgcyQcAW4AAbIyZFollowing the episode of Scandal that featured actress Kerry Washington’s character undergoing an abortion while the song “Silent Night” relayed over the soundtrack, the University of North Georgia’s “Skeptic Society” has now stepped up to take the prize for most heinous display of bad taste.

At a pro-abortion rally held by UNG’s “Skeptics Society,” students promoted abortion by baking cookies in the shape of babies and sperm, then proceeding to bite the heads off and cruelly give them to nearby protesters.

Protest of the rally was put on by UNG’s “Students For Life,” who peacefully and respectfully decked out the campus “free speech zone” with pro-life materials while simultaneously passing out flyers that simply asked “Abortion Should Remain Legal Because.” Though the students expected some hostility, nothing could prepare them for what the pro-aborts proceeded to do next. President of UNG Students for Life Carly McCurry said the following took place in a statement:

Students from the Skeptics Society baked baby and sperm cookies, so that students could kill the babies as they ate them.

The booths only activity was to hand out blank pieces of paper asking why people thought abortion should be legal. One person laughingly wrote “It is constitutionally protected” and broke off the baby cookie’s head in a seemingly amusing gesture. Boy Dies While Replicating Science Experiment He Saw on YouTube

boy-110762_960_720Fifteen-year-old Morgan Wojciechowski is described as a “whiz kid” by his peers at Vermilion High School. But it may be his intellectual curiosity that ultimately caused his untimely death.

According to news station WKYC, Morgan was attempting to recreate something called “Jacob’s Ladder,” which is basically a high-voltage arc between two metal rods. He’d seen the experiment done successfully on YouTube, but when he tried it, the teen wound up electrocuting himself in his family’s garage.

“This was not a school assignment. This was simply something he saw on the Internet and wanted to experiment with,” Detective Robert Rieger told WKYC.

The boy’s school released this statement in the wake of his sudden death:

“We would like the greater community to know that we are brokenhearted about this tragic loss to our school community. Morgan was a vibrant student and athlete who was well liked at Vermillion High School.”

Park Ranger Tour Guide Puts Progressive Spin on Constitution, Founders

Guidon_of_the_United_States_National_Park_Service.svgA “chief of operations” at the National Park Service in Philadelphia who offers guided tours of Independence Hall stunned a group of tourists this week by declaring that the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence were the product of “class elites who were just out to protect their privileged status.”

PJ Media reports that Mary “Missy” Hogan, a federal employee earning at least $95,000 annually in salary and benefits, raised some eyebrows among the visitors in her tour group Monday afternoon at Independence Hall, with factual inaccuracies and disparaging comments about the Founders and the Constitution.

Several visitors in that group reported that Hogan explained to them that “the Founders knew that when they left this room, what they had written wouldn’t matter very much.” Hogan also told them that the “most important part of the Constitution written at Independence Hall was the ability to change it.”

And therein is the dead giveaway that Hogan is a progressive activist: the leftist insistence that the Constitution is a living document designed to be changed with the times according to the whims of the progressive agenda.

Hogan also got her facts wrong when she told the tour group that “King George III paid more attention to Parliament” than the colonists “because they were right there and could remove him from office.” Wrong. As J. Christian Adams of PJ Media points out, Parliament did not possess the power to remove the king from office then, and does not now. Rats! Several Big U.S. Cities Seeing Surge in Rodent Complaints

Rat_diabeticSome denizens of America’s great cities probably wouldn’t mind a visit from the Pied Piper right about now.

Several major U.S. cities—including Boston, Chicago, New York and Washington, D.C.— have seen significant surges in rat complaints from their residents in recent months, according to city data reviewed by USA TODAY.

Grousing about rats has long been city-dweller sport, but the long-tailed, sharp-toothed nuisances have now become so populous and so aggressive that some cities are getting creative in their efforts to stay ahead of rodents even as some frustrated city residents are increasingly taking matters into their own hands.

In Chicago, which historically notches more rat complaints than any other city, residents’ reports of rodent activity rose by about 70% in the first quarter of 2016 compared to the same period last year.

With the city on pace to shatter the more than 41,000 complaints it received in 2012, Mayor Rahm Emanuel recently acknowledged in a radio interview that rats in the Windy City have become “a real problem.” (Read more from “Rats! Several Big U.S. Cities Seeing Surge in Rodent Complaints” HERE)

#NeverTrump Movement Crumbles as Pressure on Cruz to Concede Builds

16652895246_87247deddb_b (2)By Jen Lawrence. Republican National Convention delegates from the District of Columbia who are bound to or supportive of Sen. Marco Rubio tell Breitbart News that they are open to supporting Donald Trump instead.

Some are making the pitch that they want Trump to pick Rubio as his vice presidential candidate, but nonetheless the warm comments many of these Rubio delegates are making about Trump—instead of about Sen. Ted Cruz—is perhaps a sign of a turning tide in the delegate game after Trump captured at least 89 delegates in New York last night.

“I think him choosing Marco [as vice president] would make me more inclined to support him, in a more positive way, a more active role in campaigning because I really love Marco,” said Teri Galvez, a bound delegate from D.C. who the D.C. GOP says is bound to Ohio Gov. John Kasich, in an interview with Breitbart News this week.

“I am going to support whoever the nominee is because I’m Republican first and foremost, and it would be very hard for me to ever support a Democrat,” she said. “When I was single I never even dated one. I don’t get excited about Trump. He is the one candidate that I get excited the least about. Again, if Marco was chosen as VP I would warm up to the idea more.”

Even though she’s bound to Kasich according to the D.C. primary results, Galvez is much more of a Rubio supporter. The Nuclear Option: Ted Cruz Fails to Heed Own Advice, Get out of Race He Can’t Win

By Charles Hurt. Mere weeks ago, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas pressured Ohio Gov. John Kasich to get out of the race for the Republican nomination because he had no mathematical chance of winning.

“If you want to stop Donald Trump, there is only one campaign and only one candidate who has done so repeatedly and who has any plausible path to do so,” Mr. Cruz told a local Utah television station before that state’s contest last month.

“For Kasich, it’s mathematically impossible,” said Mr. Cruz, curling himself into a pretzel that has since hardened and just crumbled into little pieces this week.

That is because now the exact same thing can be said of Mr. Cruz and his hopeless campaign.

As of this week, it is mathematically impossible for Mr. Cruz to reach the 1,237 delegates needed to clinch the Republican nomination.
