Simple Snack Could Help Lower LDL and Support Heart Health, Study Reveals

A simple handful of pecans each day could deliver heart-health benefits, a new study found.

The research, done by the Illinois Institute of Technology and published in the journal Nutrients, analyzed more than 20 years of studies exploring how pecans affect heart and metabolic health. The study was a review of existing research, not a new clinical trial, and examined 52 studies conducted between 2000 and 2025, including trials involving human participants.

The most consistent findings related to cholesterol.

People who regularly ate pecans showed improvements in total cholesterol and LDL, often referred to as “bad” cholesterol, compared to those who did not include nuts in their diets. Some studies also reported healthier triglyceride levels.

Pecans are rich in monounsaturated fats, fiber and antioxidants, which are nutrients commonly associated with improved cardiovascular health, the researchers noted. (Read more from “Simple Snack Could Help Lower LDL and Support Heart Health, Study Reveals” HERE)

CIA Station in Saudi Arabia Housed Within US Embassy in Riyadh Hit By Iran Drone Attack: Report

A suspected Iranian drone strike hit the CIA station housed within the US Embassy in Riyadh on Tuesday, according to two people familiar with the matter quoted by The Washington Post. The US and Saudi Arabia confirmed that two drones struck the embassy compound but did not disclose that the CIA’s station was affected.

An internal alert from the United States Department of State, obtained by The Washington Post, said the attack “collapsed” part of the embassy’s roof and “contaminated” interior areas with smoke. The notice said the compound had sustained “structural damage” and that personnel “continue to shelter in place”. The extent of the damage was not immediately clear, and there was no indication that any CIA staff were injured.

While the reported strike represents a setback for the agency’s operations in the kingdom, former CIA officers said such disruptions can be managed.

“Drawdowns are a part of the business,” one former officer who served in the Middle East said, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss the agency’s work. “The local liaison relationship is so tight I think the Saudis will roll out the red carpet” to accommodate personnel, the former officer added. “There’s a lot of redundancy built into these things.”

Iran has long viewed the CIA as a hostile actor, citing Washington’s covert backing of the 1953 military coup that removed the country’s elected prime minister. (Read more from “CIA Station in Saudi Arabia Housed Within US Embassy in Riyadh Hit By Iran Drone Attack: Report” HERE)

China Is Refusing to Help Iran Fight, but Is Offering This Instead

As we enter the fifth day of Operation Epic Fury, few people — outside of Democrats and their Leftist allies — are really going to bat for the Iranian regime.

This includes China, who is reportedly not going to offer Iran, a major supplier of oil to the communist nation, any material support. China does, however, offer Iran “moral backing.”

We suppose that’s better than offering them cheap, ineffective military equipment. After all, failed Chinese-made radar helped the U.S. capture Nicolas Maduro back in January.

Iran is hoping so.

That’s more accurate.

Even GOP Senators Rip Noem Over $220M Taxpayer-Funded TV Ads — Starring Her

Homeland Security chief Kristi Noem was ripped by even GOP senators Tuesday over her agency shelling out $220 million in taxpayer funds for TV ads — starring her.

Noem, 54, appeared on Capitol Hill for a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing involving oversight of her department, and the whopping cost of the ad campaign targeting illegal migrants quickly took center stage.

“How do you square [cuts to DHS contracts] with the fact that you have spent $220 million running television advertisements that feature you prominently?” Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) said.

Noem replied, “Sir, the president tasked me with getting the message out to the country and to other countries with putting commercials out that if they were in the country illegally, that they needed to leave.”

The incredulous Republican said he couldn’t believe President Trump would have approved of the costly ad strategy.

“I’m not saying you’re not telling the truth. It’s just hard for me to believe,’’ he said. (Read more from “Even GOP Senators Rip Noem Over $220M Taxpayer-Funded TV Ads — Starring Her” HERE)

Michigan Imam Mourns ‘Beloved’ Khamenei, Says He Was Martyred by ‘Wretched Hands,’ Slams U.S. Strike as ‘War Against Justice’

A Metro Detroit imam publicly praised Iran’s late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as a “martyr” in remarks delivered during a Ramadan program at his mosque amid joint U.S.-Israel operations in Iran and the death of the brutal dictator.

On Saturday in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, Mohammad Ali Elahi, spiritual leader of the Islamic House of Wisdom, delivered a eulogy for Khamenei during a livestreamed event at the mosque, as reported by the Middle East Media Research Institute.

lahi, an Iranian-born cleric who emigrated to the United States in 1991 and established the Islamic House of Wisdom in Metro Detroit, described the death of Khamenei as a profound loss and condemned U.S. military actions that preceded it.

Lamenting what he called the “depths of the tragedy,” Elahi characterized the “evil” and “ugly” operations in Iran as “a war against justice, against humanity, against morality, against legality, [and] against truth.”

Texas Fire Chaplain Fired After Saying Men Don’t Belong In Women’s Sports Scores $78K Settlement

A Texas-based fire chaplain who was fired after defending women’s sports against the left’s “trans” agenda has scored a $78,000 settlement with the city of Austin, The Federalist has learned.

“Cases like this demonstrate that when you stand up, when you fight for the First Amendment, that cities don’t get away with this sort of thing,” the chaplain’s attorney and Alliance Defending Freedom senior counsel Hal Frampton told The Federalist.

The case in question centers around Dr. Andrew Fox, a now-former chaplain for the Austin Fire Department who immigrated to America from the United Kingdom in 1999. As described by Frampton, Fox — in a volunteer capacity — was responsible for organizing the chaplaincy program and helped recruit “associate chaplains to assist” with such services. In their roles, these individuals would visit fire stations and go out “to the scenes of emergencies to be with the firefighters after they had finished attending to the emergency so that they had someone to talk to.”

While volunteering with the Austin Fire Department, Fox also led a nonprofit bearing his name that “manages various aspects” of his ministry, according to his legal filing. The nonprofit boasts a website that includes a blog section in which the Christian minister expresses his thoughts on a variety of topics, such as faith and culture.

“The blog is not associated with the Fire Department in any way; rather, it introduces Dr. Fox as simply a ‘speaker,’ ‘author,’ and ‘teacher,’” according to his lawsuit. (Read more from “Texas Fire Chaplain Fired After Saying Men Don’t Belong In Women’s Sports Scores $78K Settlement” HERE)

Epstein Deposition Videos Show Bill Clinton Shaking and Furious Hillary Pounding the Table to Storm Off: ‘I’m Done With This’

Dramatic new footage of the Clinton depositions released by the powerful House Oversight Committee shows how a frustrated Hillary Clinton nearly stormed out after firebrand Rep. Lauren Boebert snapped an unsanctioned photo of her.

The former Secretary of State got into epic shouting matches with MAGA firebrands during her sworn testimony last week, while her husband, whose hands were shaking throughout his deposition, finally gave answers to longstanding questions about his ties to late sex predator Jeffrey Epstein.

“I am done with this if you guys are doing this, I’m done,” a shocked and furious-looking Hillary raged after one of her attorneys raised concerns about a photo of her that appeared online.

“You can hold me in contempt from now until the cows come home,” she fumed. “This is just typical behavior.”

Boebert copped to taking a photo of Hillary, but claimed to have done so before the hearing kicked off. Hillary vented that “it doesn’t matter, we all are abiding by the same rules.”

She pounded the table with her fist and started to leave. The deposition then went off the record, and Hillary ultimately returned.

Israeli PM Laughs Off Claim Trump Is Being ‘Dragged’ Into War With Iran

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu assured Americans on Monday that there won’t be an “endless war” in the Middle East as the United States and Israel continue striking the Iranian regime.

“You’re not going to have an endless war,” Netanyahu told Fox News’ Sean Hannity in an exclusive interview. “This terror regime in Iran is at the weakest point that it’s been since it hijacked Iran from the brave Iranian people 47 years ago. So this is going to be a quick and decisive action. And we’re going to create the conditions first for the Iranian people to get control of their destiny, to form their own democratically elected government, which will make a different Iran altogether.”

Netanyahu insisted that the destruction of the Iranian regime would pave the way for “many peace treaties” with other Muslim countries in the region and that it would “change the world.”

Netanyahu specifically cited Saudi Arabia as a nation he believes has “a lot to gain” from the Iranian regime’s fall and that peace between Saudi Arabia and Israel will be “very close” as a result.

“So this is a gateway for peace, for broader peace. And I believe that we can achieve it,” Netanyahu continued. “The most important thing to understand is that when we work together, President Trump and I, we achieved, in fact, four breakthroughs for peace. Brokered by President Trump working together with me, we brokered — we brought forward the Abraham Accords, which was four peace treaties with four Arab countries. And now working together against Iran, we will be able to bring many, many more peace treaties. So this is not an endless war. This is a gateway to peace. It’s the exact opposite of what people are saying.” (Read more from “Israeli PM Laughs Off Claim Trump Is Being ‘Dragged’ Into War With Iran” HERE)
