“My Chains are Keeping Me from You”: Pastor Saeed Writes His Son a Heartbreaking Letter for His Birthday

March 17th is Jacob’s 7th birthday.

Like lots of little boys, he’s sent out invitations to his birthday party, including to his dad, American Pastor Saeed Abedini.

Tragically, Pastor Saeed remains imprisoned in Iran merely because of his Christian faith.

This week, when one of his family members in Iran was permitted to visit him in prison, Pastor Saeed was able to send a heartfelt, and at the same time heartbreaking, letter to his son . . .

Earlier this year, President Obama told Jacob that he would “try” to bring Pastor Saeed home for his birthday. Unfortunately, that hasn’t happened.

Read Pastor Saeed’s letter below:

Letter to Jacob on his 7th Birthday

To my dear beloved son Jacob,

I saw your beautiful birthday invitation that you had made me and I know how much you want me to be there on your birthday. Daddy loves you so much. I long to be there for your birthday and to make this reunion happen, but my chains are keeping me from you.

I want you to know that although I might NOT BE THERE and you might feel my absence, there is One who always IS. One who is always there with you and who can meet all of your needs under any condition. I might not be there on your birthday and that breaks my heart as your father. But I know the One who is there on your birthday who is there for you and cares for you more than anyone could imagine. HE IS THERE with you and His name is I AM WHO I AM.

I AM WHO I AM. It means that God is there with you in every situation that you are going through. This is the name that God introduced Himself when meeting with Moses in the burning bush when God’s people were crying out to Him and were feeling His absence. Today there are many people around the world who are experiencing the same things that the people of God were experiencing and that you are experiencing. They are crying out to God and might not be feeling His Presence. They are wondering where is God in all of this. But I want you to remember that despite what you feel, He is always there with you.

Even though I AM NOT there with you, I AM is there with you. God came in human flesh in Jesus Christ all the way from heaven to the earth to give us the gift of salvation by being crucified on the cross for the punishment of our sin. So on this special day, I want you to accept this gift of salvation. Invite Jesus into your heart as you have invited me to your birthday.

So happy birthday to my big boy and my hero, Jacob Cyrus Abedini. Thank you for standing strong with me in this battle for the Glory of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Your proud Dad,
Saeed

Although ATF Temporarily Shelved Proposed Ammo Ban, Don’t be Fooled: Power to Proceed Remains Intact [+video]

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives announced Tuesday it “will not at this time seek to issue a final framework” implementing a proposed ban on what it’s still insisting is “armor piercing ammunition.” The special advisory issued by the Public Affairs Division noted that with the comment period scheduled to close by next Monday, “ATF has already received more than 80,000 comments, which will be made publicly available as soon as practicable.”

‘Although ATF endeavored to create a proposal that reflected a good faith interpretation of the law and balanced the interests of law enforcement, industry, and sportsmen, the vast majority of the comments received to date are critical of the framework, and include issues that deserve further study,” the advisory explained. “ATF will process the comments received, further evaluate the issues raised therein, and provide additional open and transparent process (for example, through additional proposals and opportunities for comment) before proceeding with any framework.”

While an angry reaction from gun owners and a letter opposing the ban signed by 52 senators challenged implementing the ban and making it stick, the fact that 5.56 M855 “green tip” ammunition is off the table for now by no means indicates a willingness to give up a power the agency has exercised in the recent past.

Case in point, in April of last year, ATF issued a special advisory banning importation of 7N6 5.45×39 ammunition for the same reasons – that it was not considered “sporting,” that it was considered “armor piercing,” and because “ATF’s analysis also concluded that the ammunition could be used in a commercially available handgun … which was approved for importation into the United States in November 2011.”

“The Special Advisory letter claims that in 2011 a Polish made 5.45×39 Onyks 89S pistol was submitted for import approval by an unspecified entity,” The Bang Switch reported at the time. “It’s so obscure in fact that only 200 were produced in Poland and to my knowledge none were ever imported nor sold on the U.S. market as semi-automatic pistols.”

That hardly matters when the criteria being argued about include concepts like “sporting purposes.” The term appears nowhere in the Constitution, and its first documented enforcement over firearms was in 1938 German law. Likewise, the Constitution is similarly silent on any branch of government, let alone a federal agency, having legitimate delegated authority to override the clear “shall not be infringed” mandate in the Second Amendment.

As for potential armor-piercing capability, the opinion rendered in the Supreme Court’s 1939 Miller decision provides guidance on founding intent. The court held a weapon falls under Second Amendment protection if it “is any part of the ordinary military equipment, or that its use could contribute to the common defense.”

While arguments are correct that M855 ball ammo does not meet ATF’s own definition of “armor piercing,” the larger point, that there is no legitimate authority to impose such criteria in the first place, is being missed. So when ATF declares they’ll be back, until such time as that usurpation is addressed and resolved, it’s prudent to believe they will be, at the first political opportunity. “Once-in-a-Generation Event”: Icebergs Wash Ashore at Cape Cod as Thoughts of Global Warming Evaporate

By Chris Perez. Cape Cod beaches have been overrun by icebergs!

A “once-in-a-generation” event is unfolding on the beaches of Cape Cod — where huge chunks of ice have washed ashore, creating spectacular sights that experts say won’t be around for long, CBS Boston reports.

The frigid winter of 2015 has unleashed an unprecedented amount of ice on the Massachusetts Bay, according to WBZ-TV chief meteorologist Eric Fisher. (Read more from “Once-in-a-Generation Event”: Icebergs Wash Ashore at Cape Cod as Thoughts of Global Warming Evaporate” HERE)

Climate Change Propaganda Is Simply a Ruse for a Socialist Agenda

By Walter E. Williams. Climate change predictions have been wrong for decades. Let’s look at some. At the first Earth Day celebration, in 1969, environmentalist Nigel Calder warned, “The threat of a new ice age must now stand alongside nuclear war as a likely source of wholesale death and misery for mankind.” C.C. Wallen of the World Meteorological Organization said, “The cooling since 1940 has been large enough and consistent enough that it will not soon be reversed.” In 1968, Professor Paul Ehrlich predicted that there would be a major food shortage in the U.S. and that “in the 1970s and 1980s hundreds of millions of people (would) starve to death.” Ehrlich forecasted that 65 million Americans would die of starvation between 1980 and 1989 and that by 1999, the U.S. population would have declined to 22.6 million. Ehrlich’s predictions about England were gloomier. He said, “If I were a gambler, I would take even money that England will not exist in the year 2000.”

In 1970, Harvard University biologist George Wald predicted, “Civilization will end within 15 or 30 years unless immediate action is taken against problems facing mankind.” Sen. Gaylord Nelson, in Look magazine in April 1970, said that by 1995, “somewhere between 75 and 85 percent of all the species of living animals (would) be extinct. . . ”

The most disgusting aspect of the climate change debate is the statements by many that it’s settled science. There is nothing more anti-scientific than the idea that any science is settled. Very often we find that the half-life of many scientific ideas is about 50 years. For academics to not criticize their colleagues and politicians for suggesting that scientific ideas are not subject to challenge is the height of academic dishonesty. Two Police Officers Shot outside Ferguson Police Department This Morning

Two police officers were shot and seriously wounded early Thursday outside the police department in Ferguson, Mo. amid protests that followed the resignation of the town’s police chief.

St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar told a news conference just before 2 a.m. local time that a 41-year-old officer from St. Louis County was shot in the shoulder, while a 32-year-old officer from suburban Webster Groves was shot in the face. Both officers were taken to a local hospital. Belmar said both men were conscious, but had no further word about their condition except to describe the injuries as “very serious.”

Belmar said that at least three shots were fired and were believed to come from a house across the street from the police department. He said he did not know who shot the officers.

The shooting was first reported by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

KTVI reported that as many as 200 protesters had gathered outside the police station to demand more changes in the city’s government after the resignation of Police Chief Tom Jackson Wednesday afternoon. The station reported that at least one person had been arrested and that protesters were blocking traffic on nearby Florissant Road. Over A Weekend, US Navy Shrinks By 9 Ships

Something odd happened to the US Navy a few days ago. Somewhere between February and March, the fleet lost nine ships.

The web page where the service lists its vital statistics — number of people, number of ships, etc. — showed a fleet of 284 ships as Feb. 27 came to a close. But on March 2, that same fleet was officially listed as 275 ships.

But no real ships were decommissioned, sold, sunk or otherwise disposed of. So what happened?

. . .The Democratic administration likes to point out the fleet is growing since it dropped below the 300-ship level in August 2003 — under the administration of President George W. Bush — hitting a low of 275 ships in early May 2007. . .

A year ago, the administration altered the way it counts the fleet, adding some ships not previously counted, resulting in a jump from 283 ships to 290. Opponents on the Hill cried foul, arguing the Navy was artificially inflating the fleet’s size, and inserted language into the 2015 Defense Authorization Act to force the service to return to the old rules. It’s those new — uh, old — requirements that the Navy has just implemented. (Read more from “Over A Weekend, US Navy Shrinks By 9 Ships” HERE)

Exclusive: Investigative Reporter Says Sen. John McCain is Facing Serious Challengers in 2016 [+video]

Over the last several years, Breitbart investigative journalist Matthew Boyle helped break a number of major stories including Fast and Furious and the Senator Menendez-Prostitution Scandal, and was interviewed on The Joe Miller Show yesterday.

During the show, he described Senator Menendez’s continued problems, as well as his own interviews with the prostitutes whose stories ultimately led investigators to the current corruption questions surrounding the Senator. Mr. Boyle also speculated on Senator Cruz’s suggestion that the current corruption probe is politically motivated, arising out of Menendez’s opposition to the President’s Iran policy.

Finally, Mr. Boyle gave listeners a sneak peak of his impending story on Senator John McCain’s likely challengers, Congressman Matt Salmon of Mesa and Arizona State Senator Kelli Ward. He contends John McCain is facing serious challengers this cycle.

Barack Obama, Top Obama Advisor Plotted Clinton Email Scandal, According to Source [+video]

By Michael Dorstewitz. The author of a book detailing the bitter feud between the Clintons and the Obamas offered a new spin on the Hillary Clinton email scandal, pinning the blame blame for Hillary Clinton’s current troubles on a plot hatched in the White House itself.

And emails aren’t the only areas the plot is targeting Clinton.

On “Fox & Friends” Wednesday, “Blood Feud” author Ed Klein said the controversy was sparked by President Obama and his top advisor Valerie Jarrett “leaking information to the mainstream media.”

Obama and Jarrett are determined to deny Clinton a shot at the White House, Klein said. (Read more from “Barack Obama, Top Obama Advisor Plotted Clinton Email Scandal, According to Source [+video]” HERE)

Sarah Palin Mocks Hillary Clinton’s ‘Convenience’ Excuse in Email Controversy

By Michael Walsh. Sarah Palin has little sympathy for Hillary Clinton amid the recent email controversy.

The Alaskan politician shared two images on her Facebook page midday Wednesday, juxtaposing her cellphone use with Clinton’s.

One picture shows a photo of Clinton during her tenure as secretary of state using a single cellphone, captioned with her rationale for using her private email for professional matters.

“I opted for convenience … because I thought it would be easier to carry one device,” it reads. (Read more from this story HERE)

Senior Secret Service Agents Investigated after their Car Hits White House; Cover-up Suspected

The Obama administration is investigating allegations that two senior Secret Service agents, including a top member of the president’s protective detail, drove a government car into White House security barricades after drinking at a late-night party last week, an agency official said Wednesday.

Officers on duty who witnessed the March 4 incident wanted to arrest the agents and conduct sobriety tests, according to a current and a former government official familiar with the incident. But the officers were ordered by a supervisor on duty that night to let the agents go home, said these people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive internal matter.

The episode presents an early test for the Secret Service’s new director, Joseph P. Clancy, who was appointed by Obama last month after a string of security lapses at the White House and other embarrassing missteps and had vowed to restore the agency’s once-stellar reputation.

Clancy on Monday directed that the inquiry be led by the Department of Homeland Security inspector general, in part because the incident involves such senior officials, a law enforcement official said.

Agency spokesman Brian Leary confirmed the investigation after questions from The Washington Post, saying the Secret Service was “aware of the allegations of misconduct involving two of our employees.” He declined to specify which allegations are the focus of the inquiry. Senator Lindsey Graham: As President I Would Use the Military against Congress

Folks, what can I say? The words of South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham are not only chilling, they are tyrannical. Graham, speaking to a group of people gathered in New Hampsire, said that if he were president of the United States, he would not allow Congress to leave Congress until his demands were met and he would use the US military to ensure they could not leave town, a clear usurpation of power by the executive branch.

Keep in mind that this is the same Lindsey Graham I addressed nearly two Saturdays ago about his corruption, has said that alleged “terrorists,” who are American citizens, would not be provided an attorney, something protected under the Constitution, and said that Barack Obama loves America and is a patriot.

In a speech at the Concord City Republican Committee on March 7, 2015, he continued to advance the idea that we need to send more of America’s men on the ground to defeat ISIS, a group that he deemed worth of funding and training when they were in Syria. He also pushed to reverse the cuts to defense spending.

However, it was his statement that he would use the US military to make sure that members of Congress could not leave until his demands were met that has drawn attention.

“Here is the first thing I would do if I were President of the United States, I wouldn’t let Congress leave town until we fix this,” Graham said. “I would literally use the military to keep them in if I had to.” (Read more from “Lindsey Graham: As President I Would Use the Military against Congress” HERE)

Tulane Worker May Have Been Exposed to Bacteria on Bioweapons List

A veterinary clinic worker at Tulane University might have been exposed to bacteria that can be used for bioterrorism and that a nearby research laboratory failed to contain, a federal official confirmed Wednesday night.

An initial test showed that the worker at the Tulane National Primate Research Center in Louisiana had antibodies to Burkholderia pseudomallei, said Jason McDonald, a spokesman for the national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

But the worker is not ill, McDonald said, and the presence of antibodies just means the immune system has built up a defense against the bacteria. Furthermore, the test result may be a false positive, he said, and even if antibodies are confirmed, the worker’s exposure to the bacteria might have occurred long ago and elsewhere.

Nor is there any evidence that the public is in danger. “There’s nothing to indicate to us that the general public is at any significant risk,” McDonald cautioned.

Regardless of whether this worker was exposed, the bacteria did get out of a lab at the primate research center, the CDC said. (Read more from “Tulane Worker May Have Been Exposed to Bacteria on Bioweapons List” HERE)
