Child Rapist Competing in Olympics, IOC Defends his Participation

Steven van de Velde, a Dutch beach volleyball player who served time in prison for raping a child 10 years ago, was roundly booed by the crowd during the Netherlands’ first match at the Paris Olympics.

Footage posted on social media showed jeers and boos ringing out, as van de Velde and his partner Matthew Immers walked out into the arena at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. Eventually, they were defeated by the Italian duo of Alex Ranghieri and Adrian Carambula.

Van de Velde’s presence at these Olympic Games has caused much controversy given that he was sentenced to four years in prison for raping a 12-year-old girl in 2014, according to British media. He was released in 2017 and is now 29 years old.

Despite the torrent of criticism directed towards the Dutch National Olympic Committee for selecting him, the IOC defended that decision as “correct,” saying that van de Velde has undergone “a great deal of rehabilitation.” (Read more from “Child Rapist Competing in Olympics, IOC Defends his Participation” HERE)

Hungary’s Orban Says Anti-LGBTQ Russia Stands to Gain as ‘Irrational’ West Loses Power

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on Saturday Russia’s leadership was “hyper rational” and that Ukraine would never be able to fulfil its hopes of becoming a member of the European Union or NATO. . .

“In the next long decades, maybe centuries, Asia will be the dominant center of the world,” Orban said, mentioning China, India, Pakistan and Indonesia as the world’s future big powers.

“And we Westerners pushed the Russians into this bloc as well,” he said in the televised speech before ethnic Hungarians at a festival in the town of Baile Tusnad in neighboring Romania. . .

Orban, whose own government has passed a number of anti-LGBT measures, said Russia had gained clout in many parts of the world by cracking down on LGBTQ+ rights.

Iranian Hard-Liners Accuse President-Elect Pezeshkian of Connections to U.S. Intelligence and “Promoting Homosexuality”

A hardliner aligned with Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has sharply criticized President-elect Pezeshkian’s cabinet formation team, accusing them of corruption, espionage, and “promoting homosexuality.”

In an article published on Saturday, Hossein Shariatmadari, editor of Iran’s flagship hardliner newspaper Kayhan, funded by Khamenei’s office, criticized President-elect Masoud Pezeshkian’s Strategic Council for Transition. Shariatmadari argued that the council, responsible for identifying and recommending ministerial candidates, is made up of individuals who are incompetent and unfit for their roles. He also accused them of fraud and purported liberal leanings without providing any concrete evidence to support his claims.

The Council for Transition is a new development in Iranian politics, intended to demonstrate Pezeshkian’s commitment to his campaign promise of using varying experts to tackle important issues. Currently, there is intense competition for ministerial roles, with various factions striving to secure cabinet positions. This period is particularly significant due to concerns about Khamenei’s advancing age, potentially tumultuous times, and the likelihood that this administration may act as a transitional government if a new leader takes over. . .

[Hard-liner Shariatmadari also wrote,] “Many members of the council and its subcommittees have a history marked by collaboration with enemy intelligence services, security convictions, corruption, and defense of homosexuality. Their track records reveal disbelief in the system and the revolution, and they have openly aligned and collaborated with the US, UK, and Israel during riots and uprisings”. . .

Pezeshkian, a relative moderate, is replacing hardline President Ebrahim Raisi, who was killed in a helicopter crash in May. He will be sworn in before parliament on Tuesday. ‘Degeneracy’: Barely Clothed, Bearded Drag Queen Dances Seductively at Paris’ Olympic Opening Ceremony

By Breitbart. The Tour de Farce that was the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics included a drag queen version of the Last Supper, a strongly suggested bisexual threesome, and a scantily-clad, bearded drag queen doing a provocative dance.

The not-family-friendly ceremony seemed to be nearing an end. Still, organizers apparently couldn’t resist taking at least one more stab at decency by letting a leather-clad man with a beard do his thing on the runway.

The responses to the “performance” ranged from disbelief to outright rage.

Trump, Sans Ear Bandage for First Time Since Assassination Attempt, Slams Kamala Harris as a ‘Bum’ in Florida Speech

Donald Trump, appearing at a public event without an ear bandage for the first since he was shot in an assassination attempt, blasted Kamala Harris as a “bum” in a scathing Florida speech Friday.

The former president, 78, tore into the 59-year-old vice president while speaking at a summit hosted by the conservative Christian organization Turning Point Action in West Palm Beach.

“She was a bum 3 weeks ago, she was a bum. A failed VP, in a failed administration, with millions of people crossing and she was the Border Czar,” Trump told the crowd of his likely Democratic opponent in the 2024 presidential race.

The former president also declared Harris — who has secured the requisite amount of delegate support to be named the Democratic nominee — “worse than Joe Biden and in a true sense much more liberal.” . . .

“And by the way, there are numerous ways of saying her name. They were explaining to me, ‘You can say Comma-la, you can say Kah-mala,’” Trump claimed. Biden Justice Department Just Hashed Out a Corrupt Deal With Lisa Page and Peter Strzok

With the Democratic Party bosses successfully executing their plan to replace Joe Biden, Trump barely surviving an assassination attempt, and the entire 2024 race upended, the Biden Justice Department thought it was an opportune time to settle a with former FBI officials Lisa Page and Peter Strzok. Their long-standing lawsuit involved allegations that their privacy was violated.

In Mr. Strzok’s case, he was terminated from the FBI, and he alleges his firing was politically motivated. He hopes to get his job to obtain full retirement benefits. Given the chaos of the 2024 race right now, to paraphrase the late Philip Seymour Hoffman in Charlie Wilson’s War, As long as the press sees 2024 chaos, Trump, and Kamala behind the left hand, “you can park a battle carrier behind the right hand and no one’s gonna f**king notice” (via NYT):

The Justice Department settled a lawsuit on Friday with two former F.B.I. officials who had accused the Trump administration of violating their privacy by sharing their texts disparaging former President Donald J. Trump with the news media, according to court documents.

As part of the settlement, the government agreed to pay the former officials, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, concluding at least some of the litigation. The amount was not disclosed in court filings, but Mr. Strzok’s law firm said he received $1.2 million.

Speaker Mike Johnson Puts Kamala Harris’ Border Failures on Full Display

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) made a surprise visit to the southern border as Vice President Kamala Harris’s failures as border czar are being highlighted as she seeks to secure the Democratic presidential nominee.

After touring the San Diego sector– one of the busiest parts of the U.S.-Mexico border– Johnson attacked Harris and President Joe Biden for blatantly ignoring the crisis that has resulted in tens of millions of illegal immigrants entering the United States.

“We’ve had a very interesting tour here at the San Diego sector. This has become, in many ways, the epicenter of the Biden-Harris border catastrophe,” Johnson said. “Now we’re very concerned in Congress that this illegal immigrant invasion is threatening even the integrity of our elections.”

In March 2021, Harris was tasked with solving the “root causes” of illegal immigration.

‘Just Be Quiet’: Republicans Calling for Biden Resignation Could Be Making Big Electoral Mistake, Strategists Say

Republicans calling for President Joe Biden to resign could be playing into the hands of Vice President Kamala Harris, strategists told the Daily Caller.

After weeks of insisting that he wouldn’t, Biden announced Sunday via Twitter he was dropping out of the presidential race. The president didn’t specify why he dropped out or give a public address, but many Republican lawmakers are arguing that if Biden isn’t up to run for re-election, he shouldn’t be in charge, either. Strategists warned the Daily Caller that Republicans’ wish of a Biden resignation could give Harris a much-wanted boost in the election.

“The power of incumbency is huge. That’s why, even Republicans, who I absolutely think the world of, are making a mistake doing that. It is still good to have that guy out there bumbling and stumbling on the world stage. It is still good for Republicans to have that guy there. The power of incumbency is strong, and the best way for people to see her as a president is her to be a president,” Robert Cahaly, founder of polling organization Trafalgar Group, told the Daily Caller.

Biden disappeared from the public eye July 17 after he was diagnosed with COVID-19, retreating to his home in Delaware to quarantine. Four days later, the president posted a statement to Twitter, alerting the nation that he was dropping out of the race. Biden didn’t give much of a reason, saying he would address the nation later. But in the weeks prior, Democrats and allies circled the 81-year-old, pressuring him to drop out over concerns for his fitness. Trump Announces Return to Butler for New Rally After Assassination Attempt

Former President Donald Trump announced Friday that he would hold another rally in Butler, Pennsylvania in a post on Truth Social.

Trump revealed the return to the site of the July 13 assassination attempt that injured his right ear when a gunman fired at him from a rooftop in the post on Truth Social early Friday evening. The former president said he intended to honor former volunteer fire chief Corey Comperatore, who was killed in the attack, and two other attendees at the rally who were wounded.

Disturbed: Harris Once Bragged About Working ‘Behind the Scenes’ to Get Sex Change Surgeries for Trans Inmates

Vice President Kamala Harris previously said she worked “behind the scenes” during her term as California attorney general to secure sex change surgeries for California inmates despite the fact that it was against state policy at the time.

Harris bragged about circumventing the California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation to ensure that transgender inmates were given access to medical services, including sex-change surgeries, despite denying a surgery request to an inmate in April of 2015, according to the Washington Blade. When asked about her track record during her failed 2020 presidential primary campaign, Harris implied that she sometimes had to do things against her personal beliefs, but insisted that she worked “behind the scenes” to ensure that transgender inmates.

In January of 2019, Harris was facing criticism for her anti-LGBTQ track record as California attorney general when her office denied sex-change surgery for inmates, according to the Blade. In an April 2015 legal filing reported by the Blade, Harris, along with other state attorneys, denied transgender inmate Michelle-Lael Norsworthy’s request to obtain a sex-change surgery.

“Norsworthy has been treated for gender dysphoria for over 20 years, and there is no indication that her condition has somehow worsened to the point where she must obtain sex-reassignment surgery now rather than waiting until this case produces a final judgment on the merits,” the brief reads.
