Major Nevada County Pressured to Rubber-Stamp Election After Delaying Certification to Probe ‘Mishaps’

After the Washoe County Commission refused to certify a recount result following multiple allegations of misconduct, Nevada Democrat officials want to force them to certify the election results anyway.

The July 11 primary races for County Commission District 4 and School Board Trustee District G were contested. The county held two recounts, which showed practically the same results as the primary, with County Commissioner Clara Andriola winning her District 4 race and Perry Rosenstein winning his school board race, according to The Nevada Independent.

Fellow Washoe County Board of Commissioners Mike Clark and Jeanne Herman voted with Andriola on Tuesday, however, to not certify the recount results of the primaries after allegations of suspicious behavior were made during the public comment portion of the Tuesday meeting.

Andriola reportedly said it was “not the first time that we’ve heard a lot of concerns of procedures, a lot of concerns of alleged mishaps” that she would not certify the recount. “I believe that it warrants further investigation,” she said.

While Andriola — who Herman described to The Federalist as a member that typically sides with the Democrats — won her own race, she cited an election violation complaint filed with the county as her reason for not certifying the results. Report: U.S. Military Hides Push for Trans Surgeries, Queer Exploration Among Soldiers’ Kids

Congressional hearings have not checked Pentagon “diversity, equity and inclusion” policies that include helping soldiers’ kids get life-altering transgender surgeries and hormones without their parents’ knowledge, finds a report out Thursday. The report from OpenTheBooks, a government spending watchdog, also finds the military told Congress and the public it was ending DEI efforts while actually embedding them deeper into U.S. military agencies and establishing a new “DEI Steering Committee.”

The report comes as Congress works on reauthorizing billions in Pentagon spending through the National Defense Authorization Act. Last year’s NDAA continued requiring taxpayers to fund transgender treatments for soldiers and their children. Twenty House Republicans joined all Democrats in defeating a measure to defund drag shows on U.S. military property, despite evidence many are marketed to children.

Records show thousands of U.S. military members’ children have already used taxpayer-provided health insurance to obtain transgender interventions that multiple European countries have recently restricted from children after medical review. Transgender interventions can leave children disabled for life with heart, liver, bone, mental, and more serious, debilitating, and expensive side effects.

Online U.S. military medical records hide from soldiers detailed medical information about their children ages 13 to 17. Military medical providers on bases and in DOD K-12 schools offer soldiers’ kids access to transgender interventions without their parents’ knowledge.

Teacher training offered in 2021 via the Pentagon’s Education Activity agency, or DODEA, explained how to help soldiers’ kids access life-altering transgender interventions on the public dime without their parents’ knowledge, the OpenTheBooks report notes. The training also recommended introducing queer ideology to soldiers’ children “as young as 4 years old.” (Read more from “Report: U.S. Military Hides Push for Trans Surgeries, Queer Exploration Among Soldiers’ Kids” HERE)

Biden’s Former Chief of Staff: ‘End the Freak-Out,’ ‘Unite Behind’ Biden as ‘the Democratic Nominee’

Ron Klain, the former chief of staff for President Joe Biden, is calling for an end to Democrat “freak-out” after Biden’s NATO press conference avoided total disaster and an NPR/Marist/PBS News poll showed him with a narrow lead over Trump Friday morning.

“With yesterdays press conf and this new poll, it’s time to end the freak out and unite behind the Democratic nominee and the only person who has ever beaten Trump,” Klain declared in a post on X.

His post comes a day after he said polls showing Trump ahead, including in Rust Belt states that will decide the election, are “in the ballpark” while appearing on the New Republic’s The Daily Blast with Greg Sargent Podcast. He also shared his belief that Biden is “doing a little better than” what had been reflected in surveys.

“But look, I’ve said all along, it’s a very close race. And I’m not saying Joe Biden has it in the bag, but I do believe firmly that he is the best Democratic candidate and is the person most likely to beat Trump, having beaten Trump previously,” Klain added. NATO Summit Swirls With Rumors of Foreign Leaders ‘Alarmed’ and Embarrassed by Biden

The annual NATO summit this week was marred by multiple reports of anonymous diplomats fretting that its host, President Joe Biden, was mentally incapable of running the country and would soon vacate the presidency of NATO’s most important country.

Unnamed European officials described themselves as to Politico journalists as “alarmed” in a report published on Thursday, while Ian Bremmer, president of the Eurasia Group, cited rumors that Biden had an episode in which he did not recognize someone he was believed to know well and would repeat himself often in interactions with other world leaders.

The reports preceded rumors published in the D.C. outlet Axios that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, a premier guest at the NATO summit, was watching with mounting concern the increasingly frenetic debate in America about Biden’s capacity to fulfill his duties. The report preceded Biden referring to Zelensky as “[Russian] President [Vladimir] Putin” in a public engagement on Thursday.

Later that night, in a press conference American media described as a “big boy” press conference as he was expected to take questions, Biden referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as “Vice President Trump,” again concerning onlookers.

Prior to those gaffes, however, NATO summit attendees were already speaking candidly of “alarm” surrounding Biden’s mental state. (Read more from “NATO Summit Swirls With Rumors of Foreign Leaders ‘Alarmed’ and Embarrassed by Biden” HERE)

Biden’s NATO Summit Blunder: Introduces Zelensky as Vladimir Putin (VIDEO)

At the NATO Summit in Washington, DC, President Joe Biden introduced Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as Russian President Vladimir Putin, only to correct himself moments later with an incoherent explanation. This latest gaffe adds to the growing scrutiny of Biden’s health and raises further questions about his political viability.

During his introduction, Biden said, “Now, I want to hand it over to the president of Ukraine, who has as much courage as he has determination. Ladies and gentlemen, President Putin.” The audience hesitantly clapped while Biden realized his mistake. “President Putin,” Biden corrected himself. “He’s going to beat President Putin — President Zelensky. I’m so focused on beating Putin, we got to worry about it. Anyway…”

This slip-up, coupled with Biden’s recent debate performance, has fueled concerns about his mental acuity. Ukrainian President Zelensky reportedly raised concerns about Biden’s health after watching the debate, a Ukrainian source told Axios on Tuesday. “Let’s be candid and frank: Everyone is waiting for November,” Zelensky said at a press conference. “The whole world is looking to November, and truly speaking, Putin awaits November too.”

Biden’s struggles with unscripted moments are not new. Special Counsel Robert Hur has described Biden as an “elderly man with a poor memory,” and the Wall Street Journal reported that Biden often relies on aides to remind him of information during donor events.

The NATO Summit blunder has intensified calls from within the Democratic Party for Biden to step aside as the presumptive nominee. Some Democrats believe the party needs a stronger candidate to face former President Donald Trump in the 2024 election. With mounting doubts about Biden’s ability to lead, the Democratic Party faces a critical decision as the November election approaches.

Army Presentation Included Condemnation of Pro-Lifers as Terrorists

A presentation offered on a U.S. Army base for soldiers being prepared to guard the perimeter of the operation openly bashed pro-life organizations, including National Right to Life and Operation Rescue, as “terrorist groups.”

The base, in a statement, bluntly said such comments were not authorized by the base and no longer would be allowed. But it was not clear exactly who, if anyone, was being blamed.

The false claims appeared in a social media posting that featured the image of the “Terrorist Groups” list with the Operation Rescue and National Right to Life Logos embedded.

It said, “The slide you see here followed right after a slide about ISIS, a terror group in the Middle East. The organizations labeled by the army as terror organizations include National Right to Life and Operation Rescue. They also included a screenshot of a license plate with ‘IM4IT,’ which is a plate many pro-life citizens put on their car which implies normal citizens are terrorists if they display this plate. The slide goes on to mention activities which these organizations participate in which include being pro-life, opposing Row (sic) v Wade, demonstrating and protesting (a 1st Amendment protected right), ‘Truth Displays,’ and picketing.” . . .

The report said, “The presentation slide, photographed by an anonymous person in the briefing room on Wednesday and published on social media by a pseudonymous account, highlights common tactics used by anti-abortion activists as possibly dangerous, including ‘demonstrations and protest,’ ‘truth display,’ ‘picketing,’ and sidewalk counseling.” (Read more from “Army Presentation Included Condemnation of Pro-Lifers as Terrorists” HERE)

Archaeologists Unearth ‘Mysterious’ Monolith At Ancient Temple

A press release published Monday detailed the discovery of a “mysterious” 4000-year-old monolith in Cyprus.

The Erimi Archaeological Team at the University of Siena described the large monolith as having a “circular motif of cups in the center,” which “tells the story of a distant era of an artisan community in Cyprus.” It stands roughly 7.55 feet tall and is part of a sprawling Bronze Age community complex, according to Ancient Origins.

The site has also revealed dyeing vats, warehouses and workshops, suggesting it was the site of a significant textile industry. The monolith was uncovered inside a room in the western wing of the complex.

Biden Calls Kamala Harris ‘Vice President Trump’ at Top of Error-Laden ‘Big Boy’ Press Conference: ‘Qualified to Be President’

President Biden stunned journalists Thursday by confusing Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump at a closely watched press conference — shortly after he mixed up Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky at a different event.

“Look, I wouldn’t have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president if I think she’s not qualified to be president,” the 81-year-old said to gasps and groans from journalists at the annual NATO summit.

Biden spoke with a soft, raspy voice, frequently paused to cough, and at points lost his train of thought at what his aides had promoted as a “big boy press conference” at Washington’s Convention Center.

The event had been called to dispel mounting Democratic clamor for Biden to step aside after a confused June 27 debate against Trump — but the commander in chief ended up compounding those concerns by making contradictory remarks, forgetting questions and giving rambling answers that didn’t directly address the subject he had been asked about.

Trump, the 78-year-old presumptive Republican nominee, quickly ridiculed his successor in a statement on social media.

IDF Releases Findings on Why Oct. 7 Mass Slaughter Wasn’t Stopped

The Israel Defense Forces’ new report includes its findings from a military probe into some of the failings on Oct. 7, presenting them initially to residents of Kibbutz Be’eri, one of the worst-hit communities on that “Black Sabbath.”

The specially convened presentation took place at a Dead Sea hotel, where internally displaced refugees have been staying since their homes were largely destroyed by Hamas terrorists. While providing some answers, the probe left significant questions hanging, and the report neither assuaged some of the community’s pent-up fury amid its ongoing trauma, nor did it restore trust in the army. There are those who wonder aloud whether that sacred bond between the IDF – a largely conscript army – and the people, particularly those who felt bereft and abandoned on Oct. 7, will ever be fully repaired. It was more than just 1,200 people Hamas terrorists annihilated that day; they also damaged – perhaps irreparably – the “stickiness” that helps hold Israeli society together. . .

The investigators spent hundreds of hours sifting through residents’ WhatsApp messages, reviewing both Israeli and Hamas radio communications, checking surveillance footage and aerial reconnaissance, as well as interviewing survivors and those who fought in the battle to save the kibbutz and its residents. Supplemental intelligence was also gathered from interrogating captured Hamas terrorists.

However, several critical questions – and ones that may not get resolved without a full commission of inquiry – were left unanswered.

These include why military forces did not enter the kibbutz for several hours – despite the desperate pleas of those trapped behind its yellow sliding electric gate. This issue seemed to be partly explained by the fact that although defenders did arrive in numbers, nobody took overall command of the kibbutz’s defense. And certainly nobody decided to go in at once and attempt to take out the Hamas fighters. This was not expressly said, but the general chaos of hundreds of terrorists swarming around – with dead bodies liberally scattered across roads and fields – added to the confusion. More than 100 civilians and 31 security personnel were slain at the kibbutz, which had a pre-invasion population of about 1,000, while 30 other residents and two additional civilians were kidnapped to Gaza. Eleven of them remain in captivity. At one point, the attackers outnumbered the defenders by 340 to 26.

Airline Facing Massive Lawsuit After Passenger Alleges She Was Left With ‘Disfiguring Burns’

A JetBlue customer from Connecticut is suing the airline for negligence after claiming she was left with “extreme burns” from hot tea she claims was spilled on her during a turbulent flight.

According to a lawsuit filed in a Connecticut District Court, Tahjana Lewis alleged her flight on JetBlue May 15 from Orlando, Florida, to Hartford, Connecticut, left her with severe burns on her chest and lap.

Lewis said that when a passenger seated in the row in front of her requested a cup of hot tea, the contents spilled onto her as it was being served by a flight attendant.

The lawsuit alleges a JetBlue flight attendant served “unreasonably and dangerously hot” tea and heated the water to be “scalding hot and capable of causing disfiguring burns.”

Lewis said she had “severe burns” to her upper chest, breasts, legs, left buttocks and right arm. (Read more from “Airline Facing Massive Lawsuit After Passenger Alleges She Was Left With ‘Disfiguring Burns'” HERE)
