Russia Blames Biden Administration for Would-Be Assassination Against Trump

In the aftermath of an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, foreign countries are coming out against the Biden Administration for provoking the attack.

Russia accused the Biden White House of inciting violence by creating an “atmosphere” of opportunity for such an attack.

“We do not believe that the attempt to eliminate and assassinate Trump was organized by the current authorities,” Russian spokesman Dmitry Peskov said. “But the atmosphere around candidate Trump … provoked what America is confronting today.”

The Kremlin’s remarks echoed several Republicans who also blamed the Democratic Party for the attack. They claimed that the left’s constant rhetoric of calling Trump a “dictator” and a “threat to Democracy” incited violence.

Shortly after a sniper shot at President Trump, injuring him Saturday, the left’s absolute and irrational hatred of President Donald Trump surfaced online.

It was in a statement attributed to a staff member for U.S. Rep. Bennie Thompson, a Democrat from Mississippi.

A report at the Gateway Pundit explained Thompson, who is campaigning to try to remove Secret Service protection from President Trump, should the Democrats’ lawfare against him succeed in obtaining certain convictions and penalties, offered “crocodile tears on X” after the failed assassination attempt against Trump Saturday. . .

Her comment appeared to express disappointment that the attacker, now dead, did not aim well enough.

GoFundMe for Trump-Rally Shooting Victims Raises More Than $2 Million in 14 Hours

The GoFundMe campaign raising money for victims of the shooting at former President Donald Trump’s Butler, Pennsylvania, rally raised more than $2 million in 14 hours, according to the fundraising website.

The fundraiser titled “Support For Butler PA Victims – President Trump Authorized” was started by Meredith O’Rourke, the Trump campaign’s national finance director. The campaign raised over $2.4 million by Sunday afternoon, surpassing the $1 million goal, according to the fundraising site.

“President Donald Trump has authorized this account as a place for donations to the supporters and families wounded or killed in today’s brutal and horrific assassination attempt,” the description of the GoFundMe campaign said. “All donations will be directed to these proud Americans as they grieve and recover. May God bless and unite our nation.”

Since the fundraiser started, over 25,000 people have donated, according to the site. Many celebrities have made large donations, with UFC president Dana White donating $50,000, musician Kid Rock donating $50,000, former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy contributing $30,000, and Daily Wire host Ben Shapiro giving $15,000, according to the GoFundMe donation records.

Night Owls Have Cognitive Advantage Over Early Risers

Scientists at Imperial College London found that people who stay up late score better on tests that measure intelligence, reasoning, reaction time and memory. This new finding contrasts previous research that links being a night owl to increased risk for diabetes, heart disease and mental health issues.

According to The Guardian, the researchers studied more than 26,000 men and women. They examined how their duration of sleep, quality of sleep and chronotype (which determines the time of day an individual performs best mentally), affects brain performance.

The results showed that people who stayed up later at night or moderately late scored higher in cognitive performance than those who went to bed early. In addition, people who went to bed later were more likely to be creative types, like artists or musicians, according to the study. However, sleep duration was very important for brain function and researchers found that individuals who enjoyed seven to nine hours of sleep each night were the best performers on cognitive tests.

“We found that sleep duration has a direct effect on brain function, and we believe that proactively managing sleep patterns is really important for boosting, and safeguarding, the way our brains work,” said the study authors. Local Police Officer Encountered Trump Rally Gunman on Roof Prior to Shooting: Sources

Alocal police officer encountered the suspected gunman at former President Donald Trump’s rally Saturday in Butler, Pennsylvania, on a nearby roof before the shooting started — but retreated down a ladder when the gunman pointed a rifle at the officer, law enforcement officials told the Associated Press.

The AP, citing the officials, said rally attendees warned local police after noticing a male climbing to a nearby building’s roof not long before shots rang out.

The outlet said one local police officer climbed to the roof and encountered suspected gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks, who pointed his rifle at the officer — after which the officer retreated down the ladder and Crooks “quickly took a shot toward Trump.” The AP — citing the officials, who spoke to the outlet on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation — said that’s when Secret Service snipers shot the gunman.

Crooks, 20, was shot dead. CBS News, citing multiple law enforcement sources, reported that the gunman was armed with a semi-automatic AR-15 rifle and opened fire from a shed’s roof outside the cordoned-off rally area. Trump — who was seen on video bleeding from his right ear after shots rang out — survived the shooting and was whisked away by Secret Service. . .

Fox News, citing voting records, reported that Crooks was a registered Republican, adding that he only took part in the Nov. 8, 2022, state election due to his age. Reuters — citing a 2021 Federal Election Commission filing — added that Crooks at age 17 made a $15 donation to ActBlue, a “political action committee that raises money for left-leaning and Democratic politicians.” The outlet added that the donation was for the Progressive Turnout Project, a national group that rallies Democrats to vote. Christian Father Killed in Attempted Trump Assassination Lived and ‘Died a Hero’

A 20-year-old would-be assassin fired roughly 6-8 shots Saturday at President Donald Trump shortly after the Republican began addressing a massive crowd in Butler, Pennsylvania. Although the shooter, whom the FBI have identified as ActBlue donorThomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, was ultimately unsuccessful in his monstrous mission to kill the man Democrats have characterized as a “clear and present danger,” he still managed to visit tragedy upon at least one family of patriots.

“We lost a fellow Pennsylvanian last night,” Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (D) told the press Sunday. “Corey Comperatore.”

“Corey was an avid supporter of the former president,” said Shapiro, “and was so excited to be there last night with him and the community.” . . .

The governor learned upon speaking with Comperatore’s wife and two daughters, “Corey was a girl dad. Corey was a firefighter. Corey went to church every Sunday. Corey loved his community. And most especially, Corey loved his family.” . . .

Allyson Comperatore, one of the victim’s daughters, said her father died “a real-life superhero,” throwing her and her mother to the ground when gunshots first rang out, reported the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. VIP Trump Rally Guest Captures Terrifying Moments During Assassination Attempt

A special guest invited by former President Donald Trump’s team to his Pennsylvania rally provided the Daily Caller News Foundation videos he took as gunfire erupted in a failed assassination attempt against the GOP’s presumptive nominee.

Benjamin Shrader, who is an event coordinator and CEO of Shrader Promotions LLC, was invited Thursday to Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Shrader provided videos to the DCNF that document the moments when a rally attendee was hit as several rounds were being fired at the crowd.

Shrader said he was given the opportunity to meet with Trump after arriving at the event, snagging a picture with the Republican presidential nominee, noting his “very nice” and happy demeanor, before taking his seat within the VIP section located to the left of the stage. Shots began to ring out round 6:11 p.m. EDT as Trump was addressing those in attendance.

“I was sitting next to, I believe, [the] third row back. So next to the bleachers, but very close to the president. So he gets up, everybody’s cheering, you know, everybody’s talking. He pulls up a chart and then I then I hear it was — and what strikes me is it was quiet. I hear pop, pop, pop, pop and like the sound of darts almost. Or like a cartoon sound, it was very odd,” Shrader told the DCNF.

“So I duck and then I turn and I look behind me. Take in mind most people during this are saying, ‘Oh my god, they let somebody sneak fireworks in.’ People are not freaking out yet. But I turned around and maybe like three to five meters behind me I could not tell if it was a man or a woman, but there was someone with a massive amount of blood and it was spilling,” Shrader continued. “I’ve never seen somebody get shot before, but yeah, it was bad.”

Aide to Dem Megadonor Reportedly Suggested Trump Rally Shooting Might Have Been ‘Staged’

A top adviser to Democratic megadonor Reid Hoffman appeared to suggest in an email to various media outlets that the failed assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump may have been “staged,” Semafor reported Sunday.

Dmitri Mehlhorn sent an email to a group of “sympathetic” journalists at 7:34 p.m. on Saturday encouraging them to consider the possibility that the shooting had been “staged” for the benefit of Trump, Semafor reported. Hoffman has donated millions to pro-Democrat political committees, funded lawsuits against conservatives and joked about killing the former president the day before the failed assassination attempt.

One “possibility — which feels horrific and alien and absurd in America, but is quite common globally — is that this ‘shooting’ was encouraged and maybe even staged so Trump could get the photos and benefit from the backlash,” Mehlhorn reportedly wrote to members of the press, according to Semafor. “This is a classic Russian tactic, such as when Putin killed 300 civilians in 1999 and blamed it on terrorists to ride the backlash to winning power.”

Mehlhorn, who Politico described as Hoffman’s “right hand man,” co-founded a fund called “Investing in US” with the Democratic megadonor, according to Semafor.

“I know I am prone to bias on this, but this is a classic Putin play and given the facts seems more plausible,” Mehlhorn continued in his email, Semafor reported. “Look at the actual shot. Look at the staging. Look at how ready Trump is to rally; this pampered baby shit his pants when an eagle lunged at his food. Look at how quickly Trump protects himself at the expense of others, but showed few of those lifelong instincts in this moment. ‘Catastrophic Failure’: Secret Service Under Scrutiny After Trump Assassination Attempt

The Secret Service is now under scrutiny after an assassination attempt nearly succeeded on former President Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican 2024 presidential nominee.

The shooter, identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, was able to position himself on a rooftop with a direct line of sight to Trump and fire a bullet that went through his ear.

The shooter was approximately 150 yards away from where Trump was speaking.

Multiple witnesses also claimed they tried to flag the shooter to the Secret Service and police.
