Joe Biden Calls for Assault Weapon Ban: ‘If You Need 80 Shots in a Magazine You Shouldn’t Own a Gun’

By Breitbart. While announcing the launch of an executive level gun control office–the Office of Gun Violence Prevention–President Joe Biden called again for a ban on “assault weapons” and said, “If you need 80 shots in a magazine you shouldn’t own a gun.”

On September 19, 2023, Breitbart News reported Biden’s plans to launch the executive gun control office and, on September 21, 2023, noted that he had tapped Vice President Kamala Harris to lead it.

In announcing the launch of the office on Friday from the Rose Garden, Biden referenced the gun control Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) worked with Democrats to help secure in the summer of 2022.

He then stressed that he is not finished pursuing gun control, and spoke of securing again the federal “assault weapons” ban which was in place from 1994 to 2004. That ban included a prohibition on “high capacity” magazines as well.

Woke Anti-Gun Ballad ‘Your Child My Child’ Performed on ‘The View’ — And Observers Mercilessly Mock It

By The Blaze. A brooding anti-gun ballad titled “Your Child My Child” was performed on “The View” earlier this week, and everything from the woke lyrics to the hippy-dippy dresses worn by singers Natasha Bedingfield and MILCK got mercilessly mocked on social media.

Backed by an acoustic guitar, cello, low lighting, and plenty of moody mist, Bedingfield and MILCK began singing, “When I got the call from you / It was a shot to my heart,” presumably a reference to gun violence. They continued crooning, “They say the reasons are complex / Then they change the subject / As you live with the effects / We move on and we forget.”

The chorus seemed to push a social collective mentality: “My child is your child / My pain is your pain / I know that things will change / When enough of us will say / Enough, enough, enough.” . . .

Indeed, some folks following “The View” on social media loved the song and agreed with its sentiments. However, it appears quite a few more hopped on the show’s post and put the woke song over their collective knees:

Kennedy Jr. Wednesday, but expressed pessimism that the party would allow him to be on the ballot or debate President Biden in a primary.

“He’s a fascinating guy,” Rogan said to his guest, journalist Alex Berenson, of Kennedy. “I really enjoyed talking to him. What’s really important is his work as an environmental attorney and what he did with the Hudson River. He cleaned up the Hudson River, a lot of it based on him winning cases. And he really cares about people, genuinely does. I think he’s a good person, I really do.”

When asked if he would vote for RFK Jr., Rogan suggested that while he would, it would be an unlikely scenario.

“Yeah, I’d vote for him. Yeah, I would,” Rogan said, before adding, “I don’t think I’m going to get the opportunity.” . . .

“I have a feeling that they’ve got some rascally tricks up their sleeves to keep him from ever challenging. And there’s not going to be any debates, that’s for sure,” Rogan said. Democrats Silent on Giving Awards to Ukraine’s Transgender Spokesperson

Nevada Senator Catherine Cortez Masto and Congresswoman Dina Titus have gone quiet after it emerged they both gave awards to the controversial transgender spokesperson for the Ukrainian military Sarah Ashton-Cirillo, who was recently suspended from the role over making unauthorised comments on the force’s behalf.

In December of last year, the Las Vegas City Council presented Ashton-Cirillo with a series of awards for service to the Ukrainian military. According to a broadcast from the local Fox affiliate at the time, Senator Cortez Masto and Congresswoman Titus gave Ashton-Cirillo certificates of recognition for the work done in Ukraine, allegedly including serving as a combat medic. . .

Ashton-Cirillo has come under increasing scrutiny following statements made on social media, including threats to “hunt down” people who spread supposed Russian propaganda. As Breitbart reported, Senator J.D. Vance wrote to top Biden administration officials to question if the White House supported free speech protections in Ukraine and if Ashton-Cirillo had any connections to the U.S. government or intelligence agencies.

In response, Ashton-Cirillo accused Sen. Vance of spreading “gender chaos”, while asserting that those who engage in so-called Russian propaganda could not claim to be journalists and therefore are not entitled to free speech protections and must be sent to prison as “war criminals”.

U.S. Department of Education Secretary Miguel Cardona appeared to dismiss some parents who protest at school boards during an Associated Press interview released Friday.

“We can disagree, we can have healthy conversation around what’s best for kids. I respect differences of opinion, I don’t have too much respect for people that are misbehaving in public and then acting as if they know what’s right for kids,” Cardona said during the interview.

Attorney General Merrick Garland called on the FBI to “use its authority” against parents who “threaten” school officials in board meetings in October 2021. The National School Board Association asked the Biden administration in 2021 to use anti-terrorism laws to restrict parents who voice concerns at school board meetings.

Cardona allegedly solicited the National School Boards Association (NSBA) comparing parents at school board meetings to domestic terrorists, according to emails discovered in January 2022. Christian Arrested After Police Feared She Was Silently Praying Is Victorious in Legal Battle

After a six-month investigation, police in England have decided not to bring charges against a woman for silently praying outside an abortion clinic.

Police also issued an apology to Isabel Vaughan-Spruce, the director of the UK March for Life, for the length of time it took to reach the decision not to prosecute her for silent prayer. In March, the charity volunteer was arrested after she told police she “might” be praying silently when they asked why she was standing on a public street near an abortion facility.

The abortion clinic was in a so-called “buffer zone,” which was introduced by local authorities via a “Public Spaces Protection Order” and bans activities, such as prayer, that are considered a protest against abortion.

Vaughan-Spruce said in a statement upon receiving the apology from police that she never should have been arrested or investigated for the thoughts she held in her own mind because “this isn’t 1984, but 2023.”

“Silent prayer is never criminal,” she said. “I welcome West Midland Police’s decision to end their investigation and their apology for the time it took to do so, but it’s important to highlight the extremely harmful implications of this ordeal not just for myself, but for everyone concerned with fundamental freedoms in the UK.” (Read more from “Christian Arrested After Police Feared She Was Silently Praying Is Victorious in Legal Battle” HERE)

Sen. Robert Menendez is no stranger to corruption investigations and indictments — and to eye-popping revelations about his private life.

The New Jersey Democrat is facing charges of taking gold bars and bribes and stashing hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash around his house in return for using his “power and influence” — including his position as chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee — to benefit the Egyptian government and two local businessmen.

He has denied the charges and called them a conspiracy by over-reaching prosecutors — a tactic which worked for him the last time he was charged with a lurid corruption scheme involving a bizarre cast of characters.

Menendez’s previous case saw him accused of taking lavish hospitality from a Medicare fraudster doctor who asked the senator to help get visas for his bevy of young mistresses; to intervene in an audit which would have stopped him ripping off taxpayers; and to stop Customs and Border Patrol disrupting his side-hustle screening cargo at the Dominican Republic’s ports.

So far, the new case against Menendez does not feature foreign villas, a Brazilian reality star who posed for “Sexy” magazine or a rock-star style “rider” for the politician, that he had to have Evian water when flying on the doctor’s private jets. White House, Media Elites Think Americans Are Too Stupid to See How Good Biden’s Economy Is

The White House and elites in the media continue to maintain that President Joe Biden’s economy is working for everyday people, while Americans and economists are insisting just the opposite.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters in June that the administration can “prove” its economic policies, marketed as “Bidenomics,” are working after being asked about a poll that showed only a minority of Americans approve of how the president has handled the economy. While Jean-Pierre continues to insist that “Bidenomics” is a success, citing low unemployment rates and lower inflation, 61% of Americans are living paycheck-to-paycheck and 75% of U.S. adults think the economy is in a “fair” or “poor” state.

“If the goal is to help middle class and poor families, there are neither policies or outcomes that bear evidence of that,” Peter Earle, an economist for the American Institute for Economic Research, told the Daily Caller. “But if the objective was to enrich ideologically-aligned interest groups by handing them hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars, and to increase the reach of government into citizens’ lives, then Bidenomics is working effectively.”

“Americans see what’s happening around them,” Earle said. “They’re paying much higher prices than they were two years ago, interest rates are rising, and they’re probably seeing layoffs and increasing economic hardship in their homes and communities. Mayor Blames Biden for Illegal Alien Crisis: They’re Coming in ‘Without Any Consequence Whatsoever’

Eagle Pass, Texas, Mayor Rolando Salinas, a Democrat, blamed President Joe Biden for the flood of illegal immigrants that have overrun his town and led to a surge in crime.

Salinas made the remarks during a Thursday interview with Erin Burnett on CNN’s “OutFront” when asked about how serious the situation was in his town.

“First of all, this is definitely a very serious situation for the city of Eagle Pass,” he said. “We’re a city of about 28,000 to 30,000 people. And the last couple of days, we’ve had an excess of 5,000 people crossed from Piedras Negras, Mexico, into Eagle Pass, Texas.”

He said that tons of people were being let loose into the community and that not only has it increased safety concerns, but they’ve had to close their international bridge, which brings in millions of dollars every day. Pentagon Ensures Ukraine Will Continue to Receive Funding if Government Shuts Down While Border Security Could Take Hit

Ukraine doesn’t have to worry about a potential U.S. government shutdown affecting the flow of cash, weapons, and military equipment to its country after the Pentagon exempted Ukrainian operations from the possible shutdown.

As lawmakers on Capitol Hill attempt to work out a deal to avoid a government shutdown, a Department of Defense spokesman told POLITICO Thursday that the Pentagon will ensure its Ukraine operations such as training and weapons shipments to President Volodymyr Zelensky’s forces continue even if the U.S. government shuts down. In previous government shutdowns, only military activities deemed to be essential to national security continued normal operations, the outlet reported. . .

While support and aid to Ukraine would continue to flow during a shutdown, the potential shutdown could affect the already deficient security at the U.S. southern border, the Dallas Morning News reported. During the last government shutdown in 2019, essential Border Patrol agents continued to work, but it delayed important maintenance and repairs that “had a serious impact on law enforcement officer operations and safety … including those responsible for border security,” according to a report from the Senate permanent subcommittee on investigations.

The possibility of border security being affected by a shutdown didn’t bother some Republicans, who say that a government shutdown couldn’t make the border crisis any worse than it has already been under President Joe Biden. Media Lies Exposed: U.S. Made-Missile Caused Civilian Slaughter in Eastern Ukraine; ‘Enough Is Enough’: Group of GOP Lawmakers Say No More Funding for Ukraine

By Lew Rockwell. The New York Times is finally acknowledging that the September 6 deadly impact of a missile in the center of Kostiantynivka was caused by a Ukrainian missile:

Evidence Suggests Ukrainian Missile Caused Market Tragedy
One wonders what took them so long.

The Sept. 6 missile strike on Kostiantynivka in eastern Ukraine was one of the deadliest in the country in months, killing at least 15 civilians and injuring more than 30 others. The weapon’s payload of metal fragments struck a market, piercing windows and walls and wounding some victims beyond recognition.

Less than two hours later, President Volodymyr Zelensky blamed Russian “terrorists” for the attack, and many media outlets followed suit.

The New York Times was of course one of those media outlets that had spread Zelenski’s lies:

The attack clouded Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken’s unannounced visit to Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital, the same day, one of the highest-level visits by a U.S. official to there since President Biden visited in February. Mr. Blinken met with President Volodymyr Zelensky, announced more than $1 billion in new U.S. aid for Ukraine and praised its people’s valor and resilience in the face of what he called Russia’s “horrific” aggression.

Just hours after the impact several bloggers has already found that the missile had come from the Ukrainian side. The next day the Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT) published a report about it:

On Sept. 6, a missile strike rocked Kostiantynivka, a town in the Donetsk region under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The missile hit a bustling city market at 2:04 p.m. local time, leaving 16 dead and 33 injured. Photos and videos of the aftermath of the strike have been circulated by various media outlets worldwide.

The videos showed evidence that the missile had come from the Ukrainian side. Ironically the main one had been published by Zelenski’s office:

CCTV footage published on President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s official Telegram channel captured not only the moment of impact, but also the preceding few seconds when bystanders turn their heads, alerted by the sound of the incoming missile. Additionally, the missile’s reflection can be seen on the roofs of two parked cars in different frames of the video. Based on the geolocation of the video, and these reflections, we can say with a high degree of confidence that the missile flew in from the north-west.

The nearest Russian positions are located approximately 18–19 km east and southeast of Kostiantynivka, as to the northwest, the missile could only have been launched from Russian territory in the vicinity of Grayvoron in the Belgorod region at a distance of about 250 km. Since we consider such a scenario to be unlikely, it is reasonable to assume that it was an accidental Ukrainian missile strike.

This version is also indirectly supported by a report about missile launches from aircraft south of Druzhkivka posted at 2:01 p.m. by a pro-Russian Telegram channel, where locals loyal to Russia report on Ukrainian Air Force activity. Druzhkivka is located just northwest of Kostiantynivka.

The strike was assessed to have been by a U.S. AGM-88 anti radar missile:

Pro-Russian Telegram channels assume that it was an AGM-88 HARM missile. The AFU regularly uses such missiles in the Donetsk region—for example, yesterday we reported a hit by such a missile on a residential building in Donetsk. There were also other incidents near Horlivka; fragments of a HARM missile were found on Sept. 1 near Holmivskyi, 30 kilometers southeast of Kostiantynivka.

‘Enough Is Enough’: Group of GOP Lawmakers Say No More Funding for Ukraine

Nearly two dozen Republican senators and lawmakers on Thursday came out against more funding for Ukraine, just as the country’s president arrived in Washington, DC, to urge Congress to pass an additional $24 billion in aid that would bring total U.S. support to Ukraine to at least $135 billion since its war with Russia began.

Led by Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) and Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX), six senators and 23 House lawmakers wrote in a letter delivered to White House Office of Management and Budget Director Shalanda Young:

The American people deserve to know what their money has gone to. How is the counteroffensive going? Are the Ukrainians any closer to victory than they were 6 months ago? What is our strategy, and what is the president’s exit plan? What does the administration define as victory in Ukraine? What assistance has the United States provided Ukraine under Title 10? It would be an absurd abdication of congressional responsibility to grant this request without knowing the answers to these questions. For these reasons—and certainly until we receive answers to the questions above and others forthcoming — we oppose the additional expenditure for war in Ukraine included in your request.
