‘The Poop Piles up’: Images Show Chinese Ships Putting Human Waste Into South China Sea

Chinese ships operating in a disputed area of the South China Sea have been dumping raw sewage into the water, threatening marine life, a Monday report shows.

Simularity, a US-based data analysis and geospatial imagery company, released satellite images Monday, showing the extent of damage inflicted to coral reefs in the area by hundreds of anchored Chinese fishing vessels discharging human waste.

Over the past five years, there has been an increase in the chlorophyll-a concentration, which indicates a significant boost in the population of algae that feed off human waste, the report says.

“When the ships don’t move, the poop piles up. The hundreds of ships that are anchored in the Spratlys are dumping raw sewage onto the reefs they are occupying,” Liz Derr, the head of Simularity, said Monday at a Philippine online news forum on China’s actions in the South China Sea — the territory claimed by Beijing almost in its entirety — according to The Associated Press. Democratic Socialists Ignore Cuba’s Crackdown on Protesters Demanding Freedom From Communism (VIDEO)

As thousands of protesters take to the streets in Cuba demonstrating against the evil communist regime that has had them in a stranglehold for more than 60 years, Democratic Socialists such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders are totally ignoring them.

Protests erupted on Sunday in cities across Cuba and there was not a peep from Democratic Socialists in America acknowledging the historic occurrence just 90 miles from Florida.

Fox News reportedly emailed Sanders and Reps. Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Rashida Tlaib. None of them responded and they haven’t even mentioned the massive protests on social media.

As Cubans are demonstrating against horrific food shortages, skyrocketing prices, and the pandemic, the left is eerily silent. The only thing that they reacted with was to call on President Biden to lift the U.S. embargo and sanctions on Cuba which will not resolve their problems.

Prominent Florida Doctor Tied to Assassination of Haitian President

A prominent Haitian doctor with long-standing ties to South Florida has been implicated in last week’s brazen assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moise.

Christian Emmanuel Sanon, who has lived in the Sunshine state on and off for more than 20 years, is suspected of being one of the ring leaders of the hit squad that killed Moise, the Miami Herald said.

Sanon is the third person of Haitian descent tied to Florida to be seized, the Herald said.

Two of them — James Solages, 35, and Joseph Vincent, 55 — told authorities during questioning that the assassination was part of a plot to install Sanon as president of the Caribbean nation, sources told the outlet.

Taliban Tells Russia It Controls 85% Of Afghanistan, Seeks Peace With Moscow

A delegation of the Taliban terror group met with representatives of the Russian foreign ministry in Moscow, where one delegate claimed the Taliban currently controls about “85 percent of Afghanistan’s territory,” Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported Friday.

The Taliban, a jihadist terror group based in Afghanistan, controls roughly “85 percent of Afghanistan’s territory,” Taliban delegate Shahabuddin Delawar told reporters, as quoted by AFP.

Members of the Taliban delegation specifically claimed to hold sway over “about 250 of Afghanistan’s nearly 400 districts,” according to AFP. The French news agency noted the Taliban’s assertion was “impossible to independently verify and disputed by the government,” referring to Afghanistan’s internationally recognized government based in Kabul.

Taliban terrorists have allegedly “captured the [Afghan] border town of Islam Qala on the Iranian frontier and the Torghundi crossing with Turkmenistan,” Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told AFP on July 8.

A delegation of Taliban representatives landed in Moscow on Thursday to “assure” Russia the group would not “allow” any other jihadist organizations to use Afghanistan as a base for their operations. Disturbing Report: Chinese Military Has Been Collecting Genetic Info From Millions of Women Around the World – Here’s How

A Chinese gene company selling prenatal tests around the world developed them in collaboration with the country’s military and is using them to collect genetic data from millions of women for sweeping research on the traits of populations, a Reuters review of scientific papers and company statements found.

U.S. government advisors warned in March that a vast bank of genomic data that the company, BGI Group, is amassing and analyzing with artificial intelligence could give China a path to economic and military advantage. As science pinpoints new links between genes and human traits, access to the biggest, most diverse set of human genomes is a strategic edge. The technology could propel China to dominate global pharmaceuticals, and also potentially lead to genetically enhanced soldiers, or engineered pathogens to target the U.S. population or food supply, the advisors said.

Reuters has found that BGI’s prenatal test, one of the most popular in the world, is a source of genetic data for the company, which has worked with the Chinese military to improve “population quality” and on genetic research to combat hearing loss and altitude sickness in soldiers.

BGI says it stores and re-analyzes left-over blood samples and genetic data from the prenatal tests, sold in at least 52 countries to detect abnormalities such as Down syndrome in the fetus. The tests – branded NIFTY for “Non-Invasive Fetal TrisomY” – also capture genetic information about the mother, as well as personal details such as her country, height and weight, but not her name, BGI computer code viewed by Reuters shows. President of Haiti Assassinated

Haiti’s police seized on Thursday at least two more suspected members of the gang of assassins that killed President Jovenel Moise, following a fierce battle that left bullets strewn in the streets of the capital.

Hundreds of residents clamored outside the police station where suspects were being held in Port-au-Prince, shouting “burn them” and setting fire to a vehicle they presumed was that of the assassins, according to footage streamed by Haitian media outlets.

Moise, 53, was shot dead early on Wednesday at his home by what officials said was a commando of trained killers, pitching the poorest country in the Americas deeper into chaos amidst political divisions, hunger and widespread gang violence.

Tbilisi Pride March Cancelled After Protestors Storm Activists’ Headquarters

Organisers have cancelled a Pride march in Georgia after far-right demonstrators stormed LGBTQ activists’ headquarters and attacked journalists in violence that the country’s prime minister appeared to blame on the event itself.

Video and photographs showed anti-gay protesters scaling a three-storey building to break into the headquarters of the Tbilisi Pride march in the Georgian capital, while elsewhere men with long beards in priests’ clothing punched and kicked journalists, with as many as 20 injured.

One journalist said he was beaten with a stick while others reported having their cameras and other equipment broken.

Irakli Garibashvili, the prime minister, on Monday appeared to claim the Pride organisers had provoked the violence, saying it was “unreasonable” to hold the demonstration in a public place that could lead to “civil confrontation”. Meanwhile, a member of parliament accused the “radical opposition” of sponsoring the pride events. Over 1,000 Afghan Troops Flee Taliban As U.S. Embarks On Final Withdrawal

Over 1000 Afghan security personnel were reportedly forced to retreat into Tajikistan over the weekend after Taliban fighters advanced in Northern Afghanistan.

The escalation comes as the United States has been drawing down troops from Afghanistan, where the U.S. has been fighting for nearly two decades following the September 11 terrorist attacks.

“The Taliban cut off all the roads and these people had nowhere to go but to cross the border,” a senior Afghan official told Reuters on Monday.

The United States vacated Bagram Airfield, its biggest airbase in Afghanistan, late last week—a move toward the complete withdrawal of all foreign forces. NATO also has withdrawn forces, and is expected to complete the process before the U.S. has completely left Afghanistan. As China celebrated the success of its first spacewalk outside the new Tiangong space station on Sunday, the country’s main aerospace company was drawing attention online for a very different reason.

The state-owned China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) has faced a backlash after news emerged that a Communist Party official at its subsidiary had allegedly attacked two prominent space scientists — including an 85-year-old woman.

The alleged brutal assault, which took place in early June, was brought to wider public attention on Saturday by a report from the state-run magazine China News Weekly. Chinese leaders have repeatedly stressed the importance of scientific and technological innovation, seeing it as a “main battleground” for competition with the West. Military Official Warns U.S. Of Potential Surprise Attack On Hawaii

Russia and China are coordinating military exercises to threaten not only Taiwan but also Hawaii, according to a senior Japanese defense official who warned the United States to beware of a Pearl Harbor-style surprise attack.

“We have to show the deterrence towards China, and not just China but also the Russians, because, as I told you, that they are doing their exercises together,” Japanese deputy Yasuhide Nakayama told the Hudson Institute this week.

Taiwan’s vulnerability to an invasion from mainland China has become a preoccupation of Indo-Pacific strategists in recent months, as Chinese Communist forces escalate their military drills around the island. Nakayama, who was unusually frank about the need for democratic nations to ensure Taiwan’s survival, implied that Russia and China are working as allies preparing for a major conflict.

“I think the Taiwanese are really concerned,” he said. “And also, they’re focusing on the two big countries collaborating and [presenting] a lot of threat towards Taiwan.”

Chinese Communist officials regard Taiwan as a renegade province, one that they have claimed since coming to power in 1949 but never governed. Most countries recognize the regime in Beijing as the official Chinese government and do not have formal diplomatic relations with Taiwan, although the U.S. has maintained a friendly relationship and provided weaponry to help Taiwanese authorities deter an invasion from the mainland.
