As China celebrated the success of its first spacewalk outside the new Tiangong space station on Sunday, the country’s main aerospace company was drawing attention online for a very different reason.

The state-owned China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) has faced a backlash after news emerged that a Communist Party official at its subsidiary had allegedly attacked two prominent space scientists — including an 85-year-old woman.

The alleged brutal assault, which took place in early June, was brought to wider public attention on Saturday by a report from the state-run magazine China News Weekly. Chinese leaders have repeatedly stressed the importance of scientific and technological innovation, seeing it as a “main battleground” for competition with the West. Chinese President Xi Jinping himself has hailed the country’s top scientists as “the national treasure, the pride of the people and the glory of the nation.”

But the jarring fact that Chinese scientists can allegedly still be trampled — in this case seemingly quite literally — by an unscrupulous Communist Party official who apparently went unpunished for weeks has sparked a mixture of anger, disappointment and shame. Military Official Warns U.S. Of Potential Surprise Attack On Hawaii

Russia and China are coordinating military exercises to threaten not only Taiwan but also Hawaii, according to a senior Japanese defense official who warned the United States to beware of a Pearl Harbor-style surprise attack.

“We have to show the deterrence towards China, and not just China but also the Russians, because, as I told you, that they are doing their exercises together,” Japanese deputy Yasuhide Nakayama told the Hudson Institute this week.

Taiwan’s vulnerability to an invasion from mainland China has become a preoccupation of Indo-Pacific strategists in recent months, as Chinese Communist forces escalate their military drills around the island. Nakayama, who was unusually frank about the need for democratic nations to ensure Taiwan’s survival, implied that Russia and China are working as allies preparing for a major conflict.

“I think the Taiwanese are really concerned,” he said. “And also, they’re focusing on the two big countries collaborating and [presenting] a lot of threat towards Taiwan.”

Chinese Communist officials regard Taiwan as a renegade province, one that they have claimed since coming to power in 1949 but never governed. Most countries recognize the regime in Beijing as the official Chinese government and do not have formal diplomatic relations with Taiwan, although the U.S. has maintained a friendly relationship and provided weaponry to help Taiwanese authorities deter an invasion from the mainland. Palestinian Terror Youth Summer Camps Begin: Planning ‘Demise of All Jews, Israel’ (VIDEO)

Hamas’ military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, as well as the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, have opened registration recently for their annual summer camps for Gaza youth, where children as young as nine are trained in marksmanship, kidnapping, and tunnel warfare, as they’re encouraged to become next-generation terrorists.

This summer’s camps, which begin on Tuesday and are designed for young primary school students as well as college- and even post-college age Gaza residents, are dubbed “Sword of Jerusalem,” after Hamas’ recent conflict with the Jewish state, which began after the U.S.-designated terror group launched over 4,000 rockets at civilian population centers throughout the Jewish state last month.

Many camps carry anti-Israel themes and are named after terrorists who murdered Israelis in the past.

According to Hamas’ Telegram channel, the camps aim to “fan the flames of jihad [Islamic holy war] among the generation of liberation, instill Islamic values, and prepare the long-awaited army for the liberation of Palestine.”

Border Heartbreak: Immigration Agents Find 2-Year-Old Abandoned by Side of the Road in Mexico

Immigration agents found a 2-year-old boy abandoned by the side of the road in Mexico after migrants inside a sweltering truck forced​ the driver to let them out because a man had apparently suffocated inside the trailer, the National Migration Institute said Tuesday.

When the agents came upon the truck near Veracruz, they encountered eight migrants who were sprawled on the ground nearby, and not far away, near a guardrail, the boy standing shirtless by himself.

​Littered around the scene were packaged snacks, water bottles, clothes and black trash bags, according to the institute.​

Inside the truck, immigration agents and national guard members found the body of a 25-year-old man who apparently suffocated in the stifling heat, the institute said. ​

The truck was believed to ​have been carrying more than 100 migrants from Central America to the US when people inside the trailer, suffering from the intense heat and lack of air, began banging on the walls and shouting for the driver to pull over. Censuring China Would Help the Earth Far More Than Banning Steak, Gasoline, and Cow Flatulence

Bashing America is popular on the radical left, but it betrays just how much they really don’t know about the rest of the world. For leftists concerned about the environment, incessantly focusing on the United States is an especially big mental failure. While American stewardship of our land, water, and air have gradually improved over the last 50 years, real degradation of the natural environment has been increasing overseas.

Politicians on the left preach piously about the need to protect the Earth while decrying any sort of restriction on trade with the world’s greatest polluter, China. Anyone who cares about good stewardship of the Earth should consider that trade with China is the United States’ most anti-environmental activity. If you want to be green, you must call for tariffs on China. . .

China is by far the world’s biggest user of coal, and unlike the west, they make little attempt to clean up the byproducts. They burned more coal than ever in 2020 and so far in 2021, they are on pace to use even more. Pollution in their major cities, where mask-wearing was a thing long before anyone heard of COVID-19, is telling.

Their uncaring attitude even extends to space, like earlier this year when bits of a Chinese rocket were left to fall wherever they might. Even when China pretends to be green, the efforts are an obvious sham. The Chinese Communist Party cares as little for the Earth as they do its inhabitants. Nike Exec Assures China: ‘Nike Is a Brand That Is of China and for China’

Nike CEO John Donahoe rushed to reassure China’s communist rulers that his sportswear company is all about working with them, saying that, “Nike is a brand that is of China and for China.”

Donahoe made his comments during a phone conference with Wall Street analysts about Nike’s fourth-quarter earnings report.

According to the BBC, Donahoe told analysts that the recent report showed revenues doubled to $12.3 billion, beating expectations. The revenue helped push Nike to a $1.5 billion profit compared to the $790 million loss the sports apparel giant suffered at end of 2020.

Donahoe also reported that revenue in China alone had risen to $1.9 billion, though that missed the expected $2.2 billion.

Regardless, Donahoe insisted that China was a vital part of Nike’s customer base. “We’ve always taken a long-term view. Report: Hunter Biden-Linked Firm Invested in Chinese Companies Hit by U.S. Sanctions

Bohai Harvest RST (BHR), a private equity firm linked to the Chinese regime, in which Hunter Biden still reportedly held a 10% stake as of May, has invested in several firms subject to U.S. sanctions, the Washington Examiner reports.

Hunter Biden helped create the firm after a visit to China in 2013 with his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden. The firm was bankrolled by the government-linked Bank of China, to the tune of $1.5 billion.

As Breitbart News has previously reported, Biden’s ties to the firm have long been at the center of ethical controversy. In December 2013, the younger Biden flew aboard Air Force Two with his father to Beijing. The trip was part of an official state visit the then-vice president was making to the country amid escalating tensions with the United States over islands in the South China Sea.

Although it is unclear exactly what transpired during the journey, Biden entered into a lucrative business arrangement shortly afterward. Only 12 days after the trip, Biden and his business partners inked a multibillion-dollar deal with a subsidiary of the state-owned Bank of China.

Nations That Relied on China’s COVID Vaccines Now Seeing Large Increases in Infections

The Chinese Communists had promised the world a safe, effective vaccine to combat the coronavirus pandemic. Before their vaccines had even hit the market, they were selling millions of doses to countries such as Mongolia, Bahrain, and Chile. They loaned a billion dollars to Latin America so countries there could afford the shots. They gave 100,000 doses to tiny, impoverished Bangladesh.

All of this was to build goodwill and improve strained relations that China had damaged so much in recent years. Indonesia — which never counted itself a “friend” of China — was being given vaccine doses when most of the west was still trying to get their own populations vaccinated.

But there was one, small problem with the vaccines. They don’t work very well.

New York Times:

In the Seychelles, Chile, Bahrain and Mongolia, 50 to 68 percent of the populations have been fully inoculated, outpacing the United States, according to Our World in Data, a data tracking project. All four ranked among the top 10 countries with the worst Covid outbreaks as recently as last week, according to data from The New York Times. And all four are mostly using shots made by two Chinese vaccine makers, Sinopharm and Sinovac Biotech.

U.S. Seizes Internet Domains Tied to Iran’s Government

More than 30 web domains linked to the Iranian regime were seized by U.S. agencies on Tuesday, a U.S. government official said.

The U.S. seized sites operated by government-run PressTV as well as social media channels affiliated with Iran-backed militias in Iraq. The seizures come as the Biden administration is in the midst of negotiations over Tehran’s nuclear program and follow the election of a new president who has rebuffed calls from Washington to curb its support for proxies fighting across the region.

Visitors to the affected websites were greeted with a banner that said the domains had been seized by the U.S. government as part of enforcement action taken by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security.

Iran’s mission to the United Nations didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment, but Tehran’s government has condemned previous seizures of Iranian websites as unlawful and part of an influence campaign against Iran. He’s threatening to round up and arrest the noncompliant and inject them “in the butt.” . . .

A report published at Cadillac News said President Rodrigo Duterte, already known for his public outbursts, unleashed another on Monday.

“There is a crisis being faced in this country. There is a national emergency. If you don’t want to get vaccinated, I’ll have you arrested and I’ll inject the vaccine in your butt,” he threatened.
