China to Overtake US Economy by 2032

The growing importance of Asia’s major economies will continue in 2018 and beyond, according to a league table that sees the region dominating in terms of size in just over a decade.

The report by the Centre for Economics and Business Research in London sees India leapfrogging the U.K. and France next year to become the world’s fifth-biggest economy in dollar terms. It will advance to third place by 2027, moving ahead of Germany.

In 2032, three of the four largest economies will be Asian — China, India and Japan — and, by that time, China will also have overtaken the U.S. to hold the No. 1 spot. (Read more from “China to Overtake US Economy by 2032” HERE)

No Peace on Earth: Palestinians Cite Jesus in Refusal of US-Brokered Deal With Israel

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas sent a Christmas letter to Palestinian Christians using Jesus’s teachings to justify refusal of any peace deal negotiated by the U.S.

Abbas wrote that Palestinians refused to accept any peace deal from the U.S. in light of President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, according to Haaretz.

Abbas called Trump’s decision an “insult to millions of people worldwide, and also to the city of Bethlehem,” citing Jesus’s birthplace and quoting Christian scriptures to justify Palestinians’ refusal to reconcile.

“We are inspired by the message of Jesus, who refused injustice and spread a word of hope,” Abbas wrote in the letter, according to Haaretz.

“The Holy Bible says ‘Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be filled.’

“Threats against those who support justice will be met with the same spirit and response from our nation and from millions of dignified people around the world.”

The Palestinian president’s letter also cited local Palestinian churches’ opposition to the U.S. acknowledgement of Jerusalem, and said that such an acknowledgement supported “illegality and the blatant violations of our rights.”

Abbas had the letter sent during his meeting and subsequent news conference in Paris with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Abbas called on European countries to aid the Palestinians in achieving their goals in peace negotiations, and said that the U.S. was “no longer an honest mediator in the peace process.”

Macron responded by condemning what he saw as an overreach on the part of the U.S. in the peace process between Palestinians and Israel, which he said was a process that should be left entirely to the Israelis and Palestinians.

The United Nations also rejected the U.S. recognition of Jerusalem in a resolution member countries passed Thursday.

The U.N. resolution garnered support from Abbas, Palestinian diplomat and peace negotiator Saeb Erekat and Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum, who called the resolution “a step in the right direction.”

“The world is saying that President Trump’s declaration in the eyes of the international community is a void and unjust decision,” Erekat said, according to Haaretz. Canadian Government Claims Santa Is Relocating to the South Pole for Absurd Reason

A Canadian government website claims Santa Claus signed an international agreement to relocate his workshop to the South Pole to escape the effects of man-made global warming in the Arctic.

The website for Policy Horizons Canada, a government website, notes that due to “rapidly melting Arctic ice and growing human operations in the North, Santa Claus has signed an agreement with the International community to relocate his village next year to operate in an exclusive zone in the South Pole.”

Policy Horizons was created to advise government officials on emerging public policy issues.

The group put out a series of Christmas-themed blog posts that tie into emerging liberal policy concerns.

Horizons also put out blog posts on Santa relying on a self-flying sleigh, investing in Bitcoin and even using 3D printing technology to make toys.

The latest blog post, however, is meant to focus on climate refugees.

“Santa’s relocation agreement marks the first time that the international community agrees on a common legal definition of climate change that includes refugees as corporations, as well as individuals,” reads the Horizons website.

“This deal is expected to lead to the deployment of a global climate change refugee visa system that in the near future could help to more easily relocate individuals and corporations facing the impacts of climate change,” the website continues.

Politicians and environmentalists have been claiming for years that man-made global warming will increase the number of peoples displaced by extreme weather events and violent conflicts.

A recent study even claimed temperature changes drove increased applications for asylum in Europe.

A June study predicted 2 billion “climate change refugees” by the end of the century if nothing is done to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Most famously, the United Nations Environment Program predicted there would be 50 million “climate refugees” by 2010.

When that didn’t come to pass, the U.N. quietly removed a web page containing the information, and pushed the prediction to 2020. (For more from the author of “Canadian Government Claims Santa Is Relocating to the South Pole for Absurd Reason” please click HERE)

Kim Jong Out? Some See Signs of Collapse

One month ago, when a North Korean soldier fled through the ultra-high security Demilitarized Zone amid a hail of gunfire from his comrades, he arrived in South Korea severely wounded. But Thursday, when another soldier of the communist dictatorship made a run for freedom, no shots were fired by North Korea’s elite guards.

Could the world be witnessing a repeat of 1989, when East Germans began crossing the border into Hungary and then to freedom in Austria, leading to the collapse of Eastern European communist regimes and, eventually, the Soviet Union?

That’s a question American Spectator writer and blogger Don Surber is posing amid other major developments that threaten the third generation of the Kim dynasty.

“I ask this because it seems like Kim Jong Un’s most elite troops – the ones he places along the border with South Korea – no longer protect that border,” Surber wrote. “If people figure that out, they will start walking south by the dozens, then hundreds, then thousands.”

The optimism may be premature, but the Daily Telegraph of London reported this week, citing an unnamed source within the Trump administration and two former officials, that the U.S. is drawing up plans for a “bloody nose” military attack on North Korea to stop its nuclear weapons program. In addition, foreign military forces told FoxNews.com that U.S. military forces trained earlier this month for a mission that would put them on North Korean soil with the aim of “infiltrating” and “removing weapons of mass destruction.” (Read more from “Kim Jong Out? BEYOND INSANE: CIA Now Alleging That Third Party Presidential Candidates are Evidence of Russian Collusion

A U.S. Army Veteran’s Russian Election Interference

By Zak Carter. In 2012 I worked as communications director for the Free And Equal Elections Foundation. We produced a series of two presidential debates that year, both attended by Jill Stein. The CIA lists those debates as evidence of Russian interference in our elections.

As F&E’s communication director, I was tasked with increasing viewership of those debates. In 2008 F&E hosted a presidential debate that was moderated by F&E’s chairwoman and broadcast by CSPAN 2. Nobody knew about it, and nobody watched it. So I reached out to Larry King’s producer at ORA TV and got the ball rolling on Mr. King moderating one of our debates. I then started contacting other television networks to ask them to broadcast, and having Larry King attached to the debates did help open a few doors. We managed to get broadcast commitments from Link TV, Free Speech TV, CSPAN, along with ORA TV as would be expected since their host would be moderating. Missing from that list though were any of the major networks. When contacting FOX, CNN, ABC, CBS and ABC etc, I was either met with silence or told that this was something that they couldn’t broadcast due to their relationship with The Commission on Presidential Debates.

We wanted as many people watching as possible though, so I went to the international media. I managed to get commitments from both Al Jazeera and Russia Today. Other international media ran stories on the debates but did not broadcast. Thanks to Al Jazeera and Russia Today broadcasting the debates, we were inundated with interview requests for weeks by journalists all over the globe, from Switzerland to New Zealand, who had no idea that there was a Green or Libertarian Party in America till then. They thought there was nothing but Republicans and Democrats here.

After that first debate at the Chicago Hilton on October 23rd, 2012, F&E was close to broke (I believe we spent close to $150k on that night) and on a shoestring budget. Russia Today offered to put us up in their studio in DC and have Thom Hartmann moderate, and being broke, we accepted. We drove from Chicago to DC, and thanks to Superstorm Sandy, we delayed the debate till November 5th, the night before the election. After the debate we had dinner with Misha Solodovnikov, Russia Today’s DC bureau chief, so I really must be guilty of something.

What I’d like to know is if the CIA called those debates evidence of Russian meddling in our elections, what else is questionable in that report? And if Jill Stein and I are guilty of anything, clearly Larry King, an icon of our media, along with Thom Hartmann, darling of mainstream liberal talk radio, must be complicit as well, right along with CSPAN and the other American networks that broadcast our debates. Lawrence O’Donnell at MSNBC did a very positive segment on the first debate and should likely be questioned too while we’re at it.

Bottom line for me is, if The Commission on Presidential Debates didn’t block participation from independent and 3rd party candidates, I never would have called Russia Today. Open the presidential debates and I promise I won’t do it again.

U.S. Intelligence Agencies Criticize Russia Today TV for Hosting Minor-Party Presidential Debates

By Richard Winger. Intelligence agencies of the United States have just published a booklet, “Intelligence Community Assessment”, which sets forth evidence that Russia, and the television network Russia Today (RT), intervened in the United States presidential elections of 2012 and 2016. The publication is from the “Intelligence Community”, including the CIA, FBI, and NSA. Here is a link to the booklet.

Annex A, in the second half of the report, on page six, says, “In an effort to highlight the alleged ‘lack of democracy’ in the United States, RT broadcast, hosted, and advertised third-party candidate debates and ran reporting supportive of the political agenda of these candidates. The RT hosts asserted that the U.S. two-party system does not represent the views of at least one-third of the population and is a ‘sham.’”

In 2012 RT carried the general election presidential debate between Gary Johnson, Jill Stein, Virgil Goode, and Rocky Anderson. In 2016, during the primary season in the first half of the year, RT broadcast a debate between various candidates for the Green Party nomination. It also carried a debate between some of the candidates for the Libertarian nomination. Thanks to antiwar.com for the link. See this antiwar commentary about the report. Aussies Sending Hundreds of ‘Mentally Ill’ Muslim Migrants to US

The 32-year-old Afghan migrant who plowed his SUV into a sidewalk full of Christmas shoppers in Melbourne, Australia, Thursday, has a lot in common with the more than 1,200 unwanted refugees Australia is sending to the U.S. under what President Trump has called a “dumb deal” negotiated by his predecessor, Barack Obama.

The carnage Thursday was caused by a maneuver that was “deliberate” but not necessarily tied to terrorism, Australian police said in the aftermath of the attack, which injured 18 and left a preschool boy fighting for his life in the hospital with traumatic head injuries.

Not only was the attacker Afghan (and, therefore, likely Muslim), but he has a history of mental health issues, said Australia’s chief of state police.

The suspect, whose name has not been released, is an Australian citizen of Afghan descent who used a technique, car ramming, that has been repeatedly recommended by the Islamic State over the last two years.

What should be disconcerting to every American, and what’s not being reported by the establishment media, is that the U.S. has agreed to take up to 1,250 rejected Muslim asylum-seekers off of Australia’s hands, most of them from Afghanistan and Pakistan along with stateless Rohingya Muslims from Burma and Bangladesh. Majority Party in Troubled Nation Plans to Seize Private Land

Cyril Ramaphosa, the new leader of South Africa’s dominant African National Congress (ANC) party, has promised a “radical economic transformation” for the country, including the possibility of seizing land without compensation.

“This conference has resolved that the expropriation of land without compensation should be among the mechanisms available to government to effect to land reform and redistribution,” he declared.

He added that any redistribution must be done in a way that is “sustainable.”

A considerable portion of land in South Africa is owned by white farmers, though their status is hardly privileged. White farmers have been under siege, suffering a murder rate 20 times the international average.

Being a farmer in South Africa is more dangerous than being a police officer. The South African government has been noticeably reticent to stop the killings, and South African President Jacob Zuma has even been filmed singing the revolutionary song “Kill The Boer.” (Read more from “Majority Party in Troubled Nation Plans to Seize Private Land” HERE)

Christmas Returns to City Liberated From ISIS

By The New York Times. For more than two years, 300 militia fighters waited to retake from the Islamic State the Iraqi city of Qaraqosh, the country’s largest Christian enclave. Then, in October of last year, the photographer Quentin Bruno accompanied these civilians turned soldiers as they approached the city that was once home to 50,000 people. He remembered their excitement, as well as the mortars that rained down upon them, a few days after the Iraqi Army had launched the Battle of Mosul.

Hope and excitement turned to surprise as they went into town and arrived at the ruins of a church. “When we entered, nothing exploded,” Mr. Bruno explained. “Everybody was expecting booby traps everywhere.”

Some of the men lit candles, Mr. Bruno recalled, until a sniper took aim and forced them to flee to another church. Once there, he said, a poet and writer named Jamil made a cross from two pieces of wood and hoisted it aloft. (Read more from “Christmas Returns to City Liberated From ISIS” HERE)

US Commandos Train to Capture North Korean Nukes

U.S. military forces reportedly trained earlier this month for a mission that would put them on North Korean soil, with the objective of “infiltrating” and “removing weapons of mass destruction,” according to foreign military sources.

Revealing photos of a recent exercise, dubbed Warrior Strike IX, show a U.S. military unit known as “The Black Jack Brigade” training alongside their South Korean counterparts at Camp Stanley, in Korea. The pictures were featured in a post on the unit’s Facebook page.

The images show soldiers training with night-vision equipment, armored vehicles and full-face protective gear, including gas masks. Descriptions of the event suggest soldiers practiced for eventualities such as transporting injured comrades and capturing combatants.

According to South Korea’s Yonhap news agency, which quoted anonymous military sources, the combined exercise was designed to simulate “infiltrating North Korea and removing weapons of mass destruction in case of conflict.” An Army spokesperson stationed in South Korea declined to comment.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has suggested repeatedly that one of his main goals in Korea was to avoid sending U.S. forces into North Korean territory. But he also seemed to concede last week that is a scenario that might need to be addressed. (Read more from “US Commandos Train to Capture North Korean Nukes” HERE)

Journalist Shot Dead at Child’s Christmas Pageant

A Mexican journalist has been shot dead while he attended his son’s school Christmas pageant as attacks on the country’s press continue unabated.

Gumaro Pérez Aguilando was attending the school event in the town of Acayucan on Tuesday, when a pair of gunmen burst into the building and killed him in front of a classroom full of schoolchildren, witnesses told local media.

His death marked the 12th murder of a media worker in Mexico in 2017, according to the press freedom organisation Reporters Without Borders (RSF). The killing puts Mexico alongside Syria as the most murderous country for journalists, according to RSF.

Pérez covered police matters for several publications and founded the news site La Voz del Sur in the violent city of Acayucan, in Veracruz state, where drug cartel and organised crime activities have been rife. He also worked in the communications department of the local government.

Pérez had not reported any threats against him, said Ana Laura Pérez Mendoza, president of the State Commission for the Care and Protection of Journalists. (Read more from “Journalist Shot Dead at Child’s Christmas Pageant” HERE)
