French President Emmanuel Macron has announced his support for legislation that would ban children under the age of 11 from using smartphones, The Telegraph reported Wednesday. Macron has also pushed for prohibiting minors under 15 from using social media.

A commission of experts recently submitted a report to Macron that studied the effects of social media on young people, the outlet noted.

“All the experts say that screen addiction is the breeding ground for all kinds of problems: harassment, violence, dropping out of school,” Macron said at a press conference Wednesday, according to The Telegraph. Biden and Zelensky Seal 10-Year Bilateral Security Pact

U.S. President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a 10-year bilateral security agreement on Thursday, marking a significant step in the U.S.-Ukraine alliance. The agreement, celebrated by Kyiv as “historic,” envisions extensive U.S. military and training aid to Ukraine but stops short of obligating the U.S. to deploy troops in combat alongside Ukrainian forces.

According to the White House, the pact will enhance Ukraine’s defense and deterrence capabilities, bolster its defense industrial base, and support its economic recovery and energy security. In the event of a future Russian armed attack, the deal mandates high-level consultations to determine necessary measures to support Ukraine and impose costs on Russia.

The G7, alongside the European Union, has frozen approximately $325 billion worth of Russian assets since the 2022 invasion. These assets generate about $3 billion annually in interest, which will be used to pay off the interest on a $50 billion loan for Ukraine. This funding, expected to arrive by the end of the year, aims to support Ukraine’s war effort and economic stability.

Speaking at a joint press conference in Puglia, southern Italy, Biden emphasized the unwavering U.S. commitment to Ukraine, stating, “Putin cannot wait us out, he cannot divide us, and we’ll be with Ukraine until they prevail in this war.”

President Zelensky expressed gratitude for the continued support from the U.S. and European allies. He highlighted the significance of the new security agreement, calling it “the strongest agreement within Ukraine and the U.S. since our independence [in 1991].”

The security pact underscores the enduring partnership between the U.S. and Ukraine, aiming to fortify Ukraine’s defense infrastructure and ensure sustained support in the face of ongoing Russian aggression.

Russian Nuclear Submarine Arrives in Cuba for Caribbean Tour

Russia’s Kazan nuclear submarine and the Admiral Gorshkov frigate arrived in Cuba on Wednesday morning as part of a five-day stopover to the communist nation, placing the fleet within 90 miles of the U.S. coastline.

According to the Russian government, the Navy vessel and the submarine — both equipped with long-range attack missiles — are in the region to engage in aerial and naval exercises carried out by the Russian Navy. The pair are accompanied by the Russian Nikolai Chiker tug boat and the Pashin fuel ship.

The arrival of the Russian vessels and nuclear submarine was first mentioned by unnamed U.S. government sources in reports published earlier in June. In the reports, the U.S. sources stated that the vessels’ visit would include “port calls in Cuba and possibly Venezuela.”

The Cuban Foreign Ministry confirmed the visit on June 6, calling it in line with the “historic friendly relations between Cuba and the Russian Federation and is strictly in accordance with international regulations to which Cuba is a state party.” The Castro regime also claimed that none of the vessels are nuclear weapons carriers, “so their stopover in our country does not represent a threat to the region.”

Record-Breaking Migrant Apprehensions in May for U.S.-Canadian Border Sector Under Biden Administration

Swanton, VT – The Swanton Sector of the U.S. Border Patrol, responsible for monitoring the Canadian border along eastern New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire, reported a historic number of migrant apprehensions in May. Over 3,000 migrants were arrested, setting a new monthly record for the sector and bringing the total number of apprehensions for the current fiscal year to over 10,000, surpassing any previous annual record.

According to unofficial Border Patrol reports reviewed by Breitbart Texas, the surge in migrant encounters this year is unprecedented. Swanton Sector Chief Patrol Agent Robert Garcia highlighted this record-breaking trend in a social media post, noting that the apprehensions so far this fiscal year (beginning October 1, 2023) have already exceeded the total for the entirety of 2023, which was itself a record-setting year with 6,925 arrests.

Garcia’s report also pointed out that the number of apprehensions in April alone surpassed the combined totals of fiscal years 2021 and 2022. This dramatic increase underscores a significant rise in illegal entries into the U.S. through the northern border during the Biden administration. Since President Joe Biden took office in January 2021, Swanton Sector agents have arrested over 18,000 migrants — more than all arrests dating back to fiscal year 2004 combined.

The increase in illegal crossings has prompted concerns and criticism, as the sector struggles to manage the unprecedented influx. Chief Patrol Agent Garcia’s updates on social media have brought attention to the challenges faced by border agents in the region.

“Another record-breaking milestone in northern border history! Swanton Sector continues to encounter an unprecedented number of undocumented migrants, with well over 1,400 apprehensions in the month of April, surpassing the total number of apprehensions of FY 21 and FY 22 combined,” Garcia tweeted in May.

The revelation in heavily redacted findings released this week by an all-party national security committee adds intrigue to a separate and ongoing inquiry into foreign interference in Canada’s 2019 and 2021 elections.

The new report from the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians is the first to suggest that lawmakers in Canada’s parliament may have helped foreign actors meddle in political campaigns and leadership races. Heightened anxiety in Ottawa about foreign interference comes in the middle of historic global elections where factors such as artificial intelligence and emboldened foreign powers are testing the resilience of democratic systems.

In the lead up to the Israel Defense Forces’ (IDF) operation to destroy Hamas and secure the release of over 100 hostages – including 8 Americas – believed to be in and around Rafah, leaders around the world from Joe Biden to the collective leftist leaders of the European Union to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi panicked and ordered Israel to forestall its necessary means to end the war.

Why did world leaders clamor for Israel to do nothing?

Over one million Gazans were said to be sheltering in humanitarian safe areas in Rafah, and Hamas used them as human shields to ensure that Israel would not invade. An Israeli operation would force the vaunted international community to warn Israel against such action to protect civilians. Indeed, Hamas’s strategy of sacrificing civilians has led Norway, Spain, and Ireland to decide that terrorism should be rewarded with recognition of a Palestinian state. This is the moral equivalent of offering a restored Reich to Adolph Hitler.

Israel, undaunted by the virtue signaling of the international community and determined to defeat Hamas and rescue hostages, entered Rafah. Prior to the IDF entry, it flooded Rafah with instructions: sending Gazan civilians phone calls, text messages, and millions of dropped leaflets urging them to leave the area in advance of an Israeli incursion. They literally warned the enemy that they were coming and urged civilians to flee. Nearly one million Gazans fled to humanitarian zones in Rafah. Knifeman Stabs Multiple People in Frenzied Attack at Anti-Islam Rally

A knife-wielding madman stabbed multiple people, including a cop, at an anti-Islamist political rally in Germany on Friday in a frenzied attack that was caught on a YouTube livestream.

The bloody mayhem erupted in the middle of a square in the city of Mannheim just after 11:30 a.m. local time as members of the right-wing campaign group, Citizens’ Movement Pax Europa (BPE), were filming a demonstration, news outlet Bild reported.

The stomach-churning livestream showed the moment chaos broke out as the bearded knifeman abruptly tackled one of the victims — believed to be the group’s leader, Michael Stürzenberger — to the ground and violently started plunging a large blade into him.

Screaming onlookers rushed in to try and drag the attacker away but he broke free and continued swinging the knife at the original victim.

Xi Jinping Wants American Tourists to Save Tanking Chinese Economy

The Chinese government held a “tourism leadership summit” to entice Americans to spend their money in China, featuring a personal invite from genocidal dictator Xi Jinping.

Xi sent a personalized message to the event, in the city of Xi’an, emphasizing the importance that “cultural and people-to-people exchanges” hold in the eyes of the Communist Party for improving relations with America. Organizers and state media noted that the China-U.S. Tourism Leadership Summit used to be an annual event but had not been held since 2019, the last year before the Communist Party began locking down entire cities in response to the coronavirus outbreak beginning in Wuhan late that year.

Xi’an was the site of some of Xi’s most brutal lockdowns, in December 2021 and October 2022.

“We warmly welcome American tourists to travel to China, meet Chinese friends, experience Chinese culture, visit beautiful landscapes, and experience the real China,” Xi said in his message to the event, according to China’s state-run Xinhua News Agency. . .

The Global Times, another Chinese government propaganda outlet, reported that leftist American President Joe Biden also sent a letter to the organizers and attendees at the tourism summit inviting Chinese nationals to travel to America. China Launches Two Days of ‘Punishment’ Military Drills Around Taiwan

The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China on Thursday launched two days of aggressive military drills around Taiwan, including flights by armed warplanes and simulated attacks on the island.

The PLA described the drills as “strong punishment for the separatist acts of Taiwan independence forces and a stern warning against the interference and provocation by external forces.”

This was presumably a reference to the inauguration on Monday of Taiwan’s new president, William Lai Ching-te. Lai succeeded two-term President Tsai Ing-wen, also a member of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and also denounced by China as a “separatist.”

Communist China attempted to intimidate the Taiwanese out of voting for Lai, and, when that failed, it howled that his largely conciliatory inaugural speech was a “confession of Taiwan independence” by a “dangerous separatist.”

Letting judges, based on snitch testimony, jail people for up to a year because someone thinks they might commit a hate crime.
