A Russian document shown on state-run television confirmed that Moscow is developing a high-speed drone submarine capable of delivering a nuclear warhead.
The secret weapon was shown on a document during several Tuesday Russian television broadcasts of President Vladimir Putin announcing plans for new strike weapons capable of defeating missile defenses.
Disclosure of the nuclear-tipped, torpedo-shaped weapon was first reported by the Washington Free Beacon and has been dubbed Kanyon by the Pentagon.
A Kremlin spokesman confirmed Wednesday that the weapon, which Moscow is calling the Status-6 system, was inadvertently disclosed.
“Some secret information did indeed end up in front of the camera lenses, so it was later deleted,” Russian spokesman Dmitri Peskov was quoted by Interfax as saying. “We hope this won’t happen again.” (Read more from “Russia Reveals Secret Nuclear-Armed Drone Sub” HERE)
A group of scientists from China may have created a stealth material that could make future fighter jets very difficult to detect by some of today’s most cutting-edge anti-stealth radar.
The researchers developed a new material they say can defeat microwave radar at ultrahigh frequencies, or UHF. Such material is usually too thick to be applied to aircraft like fighter jets, but this new material is thin enough for military aircraft, ships, and other equipment.
Today’s synthetic aperture radar use arrays of antennas directing microwave energy to essentially see through clouds and fog and provide an approximate sense of the object’s size, the so-called radar cross section. With radar absorbent material not all of the signal bounces back to the receiver. A plane can look like a bird.
“Our proposed absorber is almost ten times thinner than conventional ones,” said Wenhua Xu, one of the team members from China’s Huazhong University of Science and Technology, in a statement.
In their paper, published today in the Journal of Applied Physics, the team describes a material composed of semi-conducting diodes (varactors) and capacitors that have been soldered onto a printed circuit board. That layer is sitting under a layer of copper resistors and capacitors just .04mm thick, which they called an “active frequency selective surface material” or AFSS. The AFSS layer can effectively be stretched to provide a lot of absorption but is thin enough to go onto an aircraft. The next layer is a thin metal honeycomb and final is a metal slab. By Edwin Mora. The Assyrian Army is in dire need of military support from the United States to protect Christian communities in Iraq and Syria against the genocide they are facing at the hands of the barbaric Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL), according to a decorated American military veteran advising the force.
Retired Lt. Col. Sargis Sangari, who was a deployed to Iraq during his 20-year career in the U.S. Army, is one of the Americans advising the Assyrian Army, known as Dwekh Nawsha, which means “self-sacrifice” in the ancient Aramaic language used by Jesus and still spoken by the Assyrian Christians.
According to Sangari, the Assyrian military force, which is primarily based in Iraq’s Assyrian Nineveh plains, is closely aligned with the strategic goals and aspirations of the United States.
Sangari, head of the Near East Center for Strategic Engagement, spoke to Breitbart News about the continued plight of Dwekh Nawsha as ISIS has unleashed a savage and deadly wave of persecution against Christians and other religious minorities throughout Iraq and Syria.
“All we’re saying is we’re done. We don’t have equipment. We don’t have the weapons. We don’t have the training,” said Lt. Col. Sangari, an Assyrian American. (Read more from “Christian Army Fighting ISIS Pleads for US Support” HERE)

ISIS Savages ‘Gun Down 200 Syrian Children’ Claim Campaigners After Horrifying Mass Execution Video Emerges
By Sam Webb. Sickening footage has appeared online of what is claimed to show ISIS thugs gunning down 200 Syrian children in a savage mass execution.
The video, which has been circulated by a Yemen-based anti-ISIS activist, shows juveniles bound and forced to lie face down in a line.
The killers then open fire with automatic rifles. The raw footage is too horrifying to be shown.
The footage has not been verified, but one campaign group claims the gunmen are Islamic State fighters.
Others have claimed it shows Mujahadeen fighters in Chechnya while still more say it shows the Syrian Army. (Read more from “ISIS Savages ‘Gun Down 200 Syrian Children’ Claim Campaigners After Horrifying Mass Execution Video Emerges” HERE)

The United States and other global powers are helping Iran to update and reconstruct a nuclear reactor that has been suspected of helping the Islamic Republic produce enough material for a potential nuclear weapon, according to regional reports and statements from the State Department.
The United States’ goal is to work with Iran to refit the reactor in such a way that it can no longer produce weapons grade material.
However, Iran maintains that the United States and other partner nations will soon provide “advanced equipment” for the reactor, which is located near the Iranian industrial city of Arak.
A spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, the Islamic Republic’s main nuclear regulator, said on Tuesday that the United States and several other nations would begin supplying Iran equipment so that it can modernize the nuclear reactor.
“Four countries of the [nuclear negotiating team] have accepted to cooperate with Iran in supplying advanced equipment for the (Arak) reactor and different other issues,” Behrouz Kamalvandi, a spokesman for the Iranian nuclear authority, said Tuesday. Russia will counter NATO’s U.S.-led missile defense program by deploying new strike weapons capable of piercing the shield, President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday.
Putin told defense officials that by developing defenses against ballistic missiles Washington aims to “neutralize” Russia’s strategic nuclear deterrent and gain a “decisive military superiority” . . .
“Over the past three years, companies of the military-industrial complex have created and successfully tested a number of prospective weapons systems that are capable of performing combat missions in a layered missile defense system. Such systems have already begun to enter the military this year. And now we are talking about development of new types of weapons,” Putin said. Luxembourg’s Foreign Minister has issued a stark warning that the ongoing migrant crisis could break up the European Union (EU).
Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Jean Asselborn, said that the migrant crisis could lead to the reintroduction of border controls between EU member states and disintegration of the EU itself, reports German television news channel N24.
Mr Asselborn, whose country currently holds the rotational Presidency of the Council of the EU, drew attention to a contrast in approaches from member states. He claims that Germany and most EU countries understand the application of the 1951 Convention and Protocol Relating to the Status of Refugees, but that some members fail to adopt properly the values of the organisation which he said are not limited to tangible treaty rights.
“The glue that holds us together,” he said, “is still the culture of human values. And this misguided nationalism can lead to actual war.”
Apparently rejecting voters’ growing discontent with migrant policy across the EU, Mr Asselborn accused certain politicians and political parties of exploiting the issue of migration and stoking fears. (Read more from “Here’s Who Admits the Migrant Crisis Could Lead to ‘Actual War'” HERE)

The risk of a global financial crash has increased because a slowdown in China and decline in world trade are undermining the stability of highly indebted emerging economies, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The Washington-based lender of last resort said the scale of borrowing by emerging market countries, whose debts are vulnerable to rising interest rates in the US, mean policymakers need to act quickly to shore up the financial system.
José Viñals, the IMF’s financial counselor, said the threat of instability and recession hanging over economies including China, Brazil, Turkey and Malaysia was one of a “triad of risks” that could knock 3% off global GDP. The second, he said, was the legacy of debt and disharmony in Europe, while the third is centered on battered global markets that are more likely to transmit shocks rather than cushion the blow.
At the very least, central banks would need to remain vigilant and be prepared to increase their stimulus programs should difficulties in emerging market countries spill over into the financial system.
Addressing the prospect of an interest rate rise in the US, Viñals said there was little reason to tighten monetary policy before Christmas while inflationary pressures and wage rises remain low. “The risks of a premature tightening are greater than those of waiting two or three more months,” he said. The State Department does not currently believe that Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps should be designated as a foreign terrorist organization despite the military organization’s efforts to procure nuclear materials and conduct terrorist operations across the globe, according to a State Department official who spoke to the Washington Free Beacon.
Obama administration officials last week were hesitant to address the issue during testimony before the House Foreign Affairs Committee. When asked to clarify its position on the corps, a State Department official told the Free Beacon that now is not the time to formally designate the military group as a terrorist organization.
Iranian officials have insisted that any new sanctions from the United States would be considered a violation of the recent nuclear deal and cause for Iran to walk away from the agreement.
The State Department maintains that the sanctions in place on the corps, which target certain individuals and actions, are enough to rein in the group’s rogue behavior. Iran itself is designated as a state sponsor of terror.
“We believe the sanctions we have in place remain the most appropriate and effective tools for targeting the IRGC, and we are making full use of such authorities with respect to the IRGC,” said a State Department official who was not authorized to speak on record. “In addition to Iran’s designation as a State Sponsor of Terrorism, we have a substantial set of sanctions already in place against the IRGC.” (Read more from “Obama Admin: Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps Not a Terror Group” HERE)

A prominent Russian millionaire with high-level ties to the Kremlin has been found dead inside a Washington hotel, a Russian official and a senior U.S. official told ABC News.
Mikhail Lesin, the former head of media affairs for the Russian government who’s been accused of curtailing the country’s press freedoms, had been staying at Hotel Dupont when he was found Thursday, according to officials.
It’s unclear why the long-time adviser to Russian President Vladimir Putin was in Washington, but the Metropolitan Police Department is now investigating his death. On Thursday, U.S. authorities notified the Russian embassy in Washington that one of its citizens had died, and Russian officials are now working with American authorities to determine the circumstances of the death, the embassy told ABC News in a statement. China has deployed advanced radars and drones in its border areas under an integrated round-the-clock frontier monitoring system to check infiltration and drug trafficking on the Indian border in Tibet as well as in Xinjiang and Yunnan regions.
Many border areas have deployed an integrated frontier monitoring system consisting of advanced radars and unmanned aerial vehicles, Mao Weichen of the Southwestern Institute of Technology and Physics in Chengdu, who designed the integrated sys ..
“Our system has been adopted by border defence units in Xinjiang, Tibet, Yunnan and many other regions to curb illegal border crossings and drug trafficking,” Ma was quoted as saying by state-run China Daily . . .
People trying to cross the border will be detected by the system, which then automatically notifies soldiers, he said, adding that the system can also be used in coastal policing if it is equipped with sea-scanning radar.
“Compared with traditional border monitoring networks that mainly depend on video surveillance, our system has a wider coverage and more deterrence thanks to the use of drones and acoustic weapons,” he said. (Read more from “China Deploys Radars, Drones on Borders to Curb Infiltration” HERE)
