An international tug-of-war has broken out over a desperately ill 2-year-old girl in England, where an American dad is fighting British doctors who want to pull the plug on her life support.

Severely brain-damaged at birth, little Alta Fixsler has been on a ventilator her entire life, requires a feeding tube and suffers from seizures. She cannot maintain a core body temperature, or even blink, at times needing her eyes taped shut.

Her doctors at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital believe Alta has “no conscious awareness,” and English courts have backed the medical experts’ decision to let Alta die.

But Alta’s father, Abraham Fixsler, who attended yeshiva in Brooklyn as a youth, continues to fight for her life.

Jackie Chan Experiences Chinese Backlash After Saying He Wants To Become a Communist Party Member

The Hollywood martial-arts superstar Jackie Chan has expressed his desire to become a card-carrying member of the Chinese Communist Party.

Chan was speaking at a Beijing symposium for Chinese film last week and was asked about his views on Chinese President Xi Jinping’s speech at the Communist Party’s centenary.

“When I’m abroad I often say I’m proud to be Chinese, but I’m envious of those who are Chinese Communist Party members – I want to be a party member, too,” Chan said in a video seen by Insider. . .

Chan’s patriotism, however, was snubbed by some commenters on Weibo, the Chinese version of Twitter. The Weibo users questioned Chan’s “moral character,” citing incidences of his infidelity and his son Jaycee’s drug offenses, saying it would disqualify him from becoming a party member.

Animal Rights Lawyer With Show on Facebook Accepts Plea Deal In Murder-for-Hire Plot

Jennifer Emmi, the Colorado animal rights attorney accused of plotting to have her estranged husband’s new girlfriend murdered, has pleaded guilty to multiple charges, PEOPLE confirms.

Emmi, 43, appeared in court June 28 and entered guilty pleas to seven felonies and four misdemeanors: solicitation to commit second-degree murder, menacing, heat-of-passion strangulation, attempting to influence a judge, violation of a bail bond, retaliation against a witness, stalking, criminal mischief, reckless driving, tampering and two counts of child abuse. . .

Authorities in Colorado had accused Emmi, who founded the Animal Law Center, a nonprofit animal ranch, of offering one of her ranch hands $100,000 to murder her estranged husband’s new girlfriend — the au pair the couple had hired to care for their three children.

Emmi asked the ranch hand to “take care” of the new girlfriend — meaning kill her — adding that the woman would not be missed if she were killed.

Emmi, who appeared regularly on regional news shows and also hosted a Facebook show about animals, was arrested in late January following a six-month investigation and charged with solicitation of first-degree murder, two counts of retaliating against a witness or victim and three counts of stalking. Former High School Student Charged for Putting Hitler Quote in Yearbook

A former Connecticut high school student is accused of changing entries in his school’s yearbook to include a quote from Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler, police said.

“It is a quite special secret pleasure how the people around us fail to realize what is really happening to them,” read one entry allegedly submitted by Hollister Tryon, incorrectly attributing Hitler’s quote to George Floyd — a black man who was murdered by a white Minneapolis cop in May 2020.

Tryon, who was barred from attending graduation at Glastonbury High School for allegedly altering the school’s 2021 yearbook, was charged Friday with two counts of third-degree computer crimes for accessing a database used by students to alter two classmates’ entries, the Hartford Courant reported.

Tryon, 18, also reportedly inserted a quote in a second student’s yearbook entry referencing drugs and Boston bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who was convicted in the April 2013 attack that killed three people and wounded more than 260 others.

The reworked entries were uncovered in May as distribution of the yearbooks began. School administrators later recalled the mementos to remove the offending material and contacted cops, the Courant reported. Company To Pull Several Sunscreens Over Cancer-Causing Chemicals

Johnson & Johnson (J&J) announced the recall of five of its sunscreen products Wednesday after a cancer-causing chemical was found in some of the samples.

Low levels of benzene, a carcinogen, were identified in the company‘s following five aerosol sunscreens: NEUTROGENA Beach Defense, NEUTROGENA Cool Dry Sport, NEUTROGENA Invisible Daily, NEUTROGENA Ultra Sheer and AVEENO Protect +, the company said in the Wednesday statement.

All lots of the affected sunscreens are being voluntarily pulled “out of an abundance of caution,” the statement reads.

Parents Sue Over City Vaccinating Minors Without Parental Consent

A recent District of Columbia law, the D.C. Minor Consent for Vaccinations Amendment Act of 2020, allows kids aged 11 and up to get any vaccine recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), including COVID shots, without parental consent or knowledge. Now, parents are fighting back.

The bill passed the D.C. Council on a 10-3 vote last November, and was signed into law by Mayor Muriel Bowser in December. It went into effect on March 19, 2021. On Monday, the Children’s Health Defense (CHD) and the Parental Rights Foundation filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for D.C., seeking a court order to rule the law unconstitutional.

The plaintiffs are four parents who have minor children attending public school in D.C. and want a preliminary injunction to prohibit Bowser, the D.C. Department of Health, and the D.C. Public School System from enforcing the act.

“The D.C. Act is an unconscionable intrusion on the rights and liberty of parents and children,” said CHD president and general counsel Mary Holland. “As the Supreme Court held, ‘The liberty interest at issue in this case — the interest of parents in the care, custody, and control of their children — is perhaps the oldest of the fundamental liberty interests recognized by this Court.’” (Read more from “Parents Sue Over City Vaccinating Minors Without Parental Consent” HERE)

DISTURBING: Abortion Activists Vandalize Jesus Statue, Calling Abortion a ‘Miracle’

In the middle of the night last Thursday, abortion activists scaled a 65-foot statue of Jesus Christ, rappelling up the statue in order to hang a 44-foot banner across the statue’s outstretched arms. The activists posted photos of the banner on Instagram.

The activist group responsible, Indecline, condemned the evangelical Christian culture behind many pro-life laws as “a cheap, performative morality,” declaring that legislators see a woman’s body as a place, “private property to be legislated by a group of landlords.”

Then the activist group made the absurd claim that Jesus would have supported the killing of babies in the womb because He “understood sacrifice very intimately.” He laid down His life to redeem His enemies, so He’d support the killing of innocent unborn babies or something.

“We think Jesus would understand the concept of a difficult decision. He supposedly had to make a few of them and understood sacrifice very intimately,” Indecline argued. “The Christ of the Ozarks is visible from miles away, so we just treated it like a billboard.”

Tellingly, the abortion group rejected both the terms “pro-choice” and “anti-life” as “double-speak.” Then the activists presented their credo: “We just think abortion is a g***amn miracle worth celebrating. It saves lives, but those lives are usually female.”

Toddler Dies During Routine Dental Procedure in Kansas

A 3-year-old Kansas boy died during a trip to the dentist, when he apparently had a reaction to a medication while having some teeth pulled, authorities say.

Little Abiel Valenzuela Zapata was brought by his mom to Tiny Teeth Pediatric Dentistry in Wichita last week to have the procedure done because of an infection, his mother told local NBC-TV affiliate KSNW.

Abiel cried when he got an injection in the chair, mom Nancy Valenzuela said, but, “I told him, ‘Papi, everything’s going to be OK. . .

About 3 minutes after the boy was sedated and the dentist worked on his lower jawline, the child’s pulse began to slow and his cheek swelled up, according to a police incident report, the outlet said.

Judge Blocks Tennessee’s Transgender Bathroom Sign Law

A federal judge on Friday blocked a Tennessee law that required businesses to post a notice if they allow transgender people to use bathrooms based on their gender identity rather than their biological sex.

The law requires that bold, uppercase letter signage must be posted outside multi-person bathrooms that transgender individuals are allowed to use based on their gender identity.

Business owners must post a sign that reads, “This facility maintains a policy of allowing the use of restrooms by either biological sex regardless of the designation on the restroom,” at the entrance of single-sex public restrooms, locker rooms, dressing areas, or other facilities that are “designated for a specific biological sex . . . where a person would have a reasonable expectation of privacy.”

The ruling comes as part of a lawsuit by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) on behalf of two Tennessee business owners. Report: Abortion Center Tossed Dismembered Baby Remains in Dumpster

A dismembered unborn baby was thrown into a dumpster behind an abortion facility in Ohio in violation of state law, according to an anti-abortion group in the state.

Ohio Right to Life put out a press release Wednesday, describing how it learned an unborn child about 17-weeks gestation was discarded in a dumpster. This action would be in direct violation of S.B. 27, the Unborn Child Dignity Act, signed by Republican Gov. Mike DeWine in December 2020. The law requires the state’s Department of Health to ensure protocol is in place for the cremation or burial of unborn children who die through abortion.

“This child suffered doubly at the hands of the abortion industry: first, by being subjected to a brutal death by dismemberment and second by the degradation of his or her broken body being dumped into the trash like garbage,” said Ohio Right to Life President Mike Gonidakis in a statement.
