Student Shares Campus Tale That Soap Dispensers Are Racist

A student at the University of California, Los Angeles suggested that hand soap dispensers are the latest form of systemic racism, according to her peer.

Sullivan Israel, a civil engineering student, recounted a debate he attended by his school’s Republican group in which a black student said automatic dispensers did not take to her because of the color of her skin.

“As one UCLA student claimed during the debate, automatic soap dispensers ‘don’t see her hands’ due to the dark pigment of her skin,” Israel wrote in the College Fix. “As another student reiterated, soap dispensers are racist because they force ‘black and brown bodies’ to show their palms — ‘the only light areas of the skin’ — in order to get soap out.”

However, automated soap dispensers use a motion detector that triggers the soap to fall, rather than a detection mechanism determined by the color of someone’s skin.

Israel described how he feels the term “racism” is thrown around too freely on campus, saying that such claims diminish bigger charges of racial discrimination. (Read more from “Student Shares Campus Tale That Soap Dispensers Are Racist” HERE)

Mother Was Allegedly Fired After Refusing COVID Vaccine

An Arkansas woman says she was fired from her job at a marijuana dispensary after she declined to take the COVID-19 vaccine.

“They actually did it — they really fired me — I didn’t think it was really going to happen,” Samantha Wise told KARK after she was terminated from her job at the Harvest Cannabis Dispensary Conway, Arkansas. “I am always that 1 out of every 10 or so that has a bad reaction. I am that one — so, I would just rather not.”

The mother of five said that her past history with medications contributed to her reluctance to be vaccinated against COVID-19. After she told her employer that she wouldn’t be taking the vaccine, she was asked to return her badge and key.

All employees at the store are required to be vaccinated against the coronavirus. In Arkansas, only medical marijuana is legal, and the store’s “high risk” clientele contributed to the decision to make the vaccine mandatory. . .

While the dispensary wouldn’t provide the details of Wise’s termination, it said that there were “a number of factors” that went into her firing. Harvest said it did implement a policy that allowed employees who declined to be vaccinated on medical or religious grounds to remain employed, but the company did not explain why Wise wasn’t accommodated under this exemption. Florida House Passes Bill Banning Abortions on Babies With Down Syndrome

A bill in the Florida legislature would protect unborn babies with Down syndrome and other disabilities from eugenic, discriminatory abortions. And the Florida state House just gave it a vote to send it to the state Senate.

Pro-life state House Bill 1221 passed the full House 77-44. If enacted, the legislation would prohibit abortionists from doing abortions if the reason is because an unborn baby has been diagnosed with a disability, such as Down syndrome. Exceptions would be allowed if the mother’s life is at risk.

“For those of you that feel as strongly as you do that abortion is health care, there are many of us that don’t feel that the killing of a child can ever be health care, and we feel just as strongly as you do in your beliefs,” said Rep. Erin Grall, R-Vero Beach, according to the News Service of Florida.

Grall is the lead sponsor of the bill. State Sen. Ana Maria Rodriguez, R-Doral, filed an identical bill, Senate Bill 1664, in the Florida Senate. (Read more from “Florida House Passes Bill Banning Abortions on Babies With Down Syndrome” HERE)

College Soccer Player Kicked Off Team for Refusing to Kneel

Kiersten Hening, a former Virginia Tech women’s soccer player, is suing her former coach after she was allegedly benched and forced off the team because she didn’t want to kneel during a pregame demonstration last September.

Hening, 21, was a midfielder/defender for the Hokies from 2018 to 2020. In a federal lawsuit filed last month, Hening said that her former coach, Charles Adair, wasn’t a fan of her political views. According to the documents obtained by TMZ Sports, Hening said during the peak of the Black Lives Matter movement last summer, she often had a difference of opinion from her teammates on social justice topics.

In the lawsuit, Hening said that she “supports social justice and believes that black lives matter” but she said that she “does not support BLM the organization.” Hening added that she disagrees with Black Lives Matter’s “tactics and core tenets of its mission statement, including defunding the police.”

Hening said during the pregame reading of a “unity statement” on Sept. 12, 2020, many of her teammates knelt before their game against Virginia, but she remained standing and she was “verbally attacked” by Adair at halftime. New Bill Would Force Health Insurers to Buy Babies for Gay and Single People

The inability to conceive and carry a pregnancy seems to be on the rise for couples in the Western world, due to the rise in the age at which they seek to conceive and for other known and unknown reasons. But also on the rise is the number of gay couples and single women who wish to conceive, and even though they are not technically infertile, they would like insurance companies to think they are.

A new bill in the Illinois legislature, introduced in February and now standing at 25 sponsors, seeks to wholly redefine what it means to be “infertile.”

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Protection defines infertility as “not being able to get pregnant (conceive) after one year (or longer) of unprotected sex.” But this new law is not about that, as Illinois law already requires that Illinois insurance companies cover fertility services for couples who have attempted to conceive for a year regardless of whether those attempts are through sexual intercourse or other means, or where an individual has been diagnosed with a fertility-impacting medical condition.

Through the Illinois Family Building Act of 1991 and 1997, and a 2010 ruling by the Illinois Department of Insurance, the fertility benefit mandate applies to women who are physiologically unable to conceive and carry a pregnancy regardless of how they attempt to conceive.

The new bill in Illinois, HB 3709, actually has nothing to do with infertility. Instead, it would mandate that all health insurance plans sold in the state pay for fertility-related services for single people and same-sex couples regardless of whether, physiologically, they have any impairment in their fertility at all. These State Lawmakers Voted Overwhelmingly to Eliminate Religious Exemption for Vaccinations

The Connecticut House of Representatives passed a contentious bill early Tuesday that would end the state’s long-standing religious exemption from immunization requirements for schools, beginning with the 2022 school year.

The 90-53 vote in the Democratic-controlled chamber came just before 3 a.m. after more than 16 hours of debate. The bill now heads to the Senate, which is also controlled by Democrats.

About a half-hour before approving the legislation, lawmakers passed an amendment that would allow students who are now exempt from immunizations because of religious reasons to continue to be exempt. Female Authors Protest After Transgender Man Is Nominated for ‘Women’s Prize’

Men — individuals who biologically are male — already are in women’s athletics, locker rooms and restrooms under the transgender agenda.

Now, women are protesting a literary organization’s nomination of a man for its “Women’s Prize for Fiction,” which includes a $42,000 payout.

In a letter, the Wild Woman Writing Club is protesting the nomination of Torrey Peters, a man who lives as a woman, for his book “Detransition, Baby.”

The letter by the WWWC to the charity that presents the prize, the Women’s Prize Trust, obtained some 250 signatures within a day. However, some signed under a pseudonym due to fear of being “permanently canceled by the book industry,” the U.K.’s Christian Institute explained.

The letter said: “The Women’s Prize was established to recognize the contribution of female writers who were overlooked by other major literary awards. The founder launched it in response to the all-male shortlist for the 1991 Booker Prize. Over the years, the Women’s Prize has been criticized as ‘sexist’ because it is for women. The former sheriff’s detective who allegedly killed his wife, teen daughter and her high school football star boyfriend was reportedly arrested Monday morning while in possession of a pistol.

Broderick was arrested without incident some 20 hours after the shooting, he added.

The Manor Police Department said the suspect had a handgun but that no shots were fired at the time of his arrest, KXAN reported.

He was captured between Manor and Elgin on Old Kimbro Road just south of Highway 290 after police received calls reporting a suspicious person. (Read more from “Ex-Cop Reportedly Arrested In Killings Of Wife, Daughter, Boyfriend” HERE)

Father Of 7 Paralyzed After Receiving COVID Vaccine

A 43-year-old father of seven children in Mississippi was left unable to speak and paralyzed on one side of his body three hours after being inoculated with the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, his family says.

On a Facebook page to help pay for the medical costs of Brad Malagarie of St. Martin, Mississippi, the man’s family says he suffered a stroke Tuesday caused by a blood clot in his left middle cerebral artery shortly after getting the single-dose shot.

The healthy man got the shot at midday, then returned to work, and within three hours, his coworkers saw him unresponsive at his desk. . .

“He’s a young, healthy 43-year-old, and I immediately thought it, and I said be sure to tell the doctors he took that J&J vaccine and that, to me, is what caused his stroke.”

“He can’t talk now and he can’t walk. He’s paralyzed on the right side. He knows who we are and he will just cry when he sees us.” (Read more from “Father Of 7 Paralyzed After Receiving COVID Vaccine” HERE)

Man Who Tossed An Elderly Jewish Woman Off A Balcony While Yelling ‘Allahu Akbar’ Avoids Trial Because He Smoked Weed

France’s top court ruled on Wednesday that the killer of an elderly Jewish woman will not go on trial, France24 reported.

Kobili Traoré admitted to murdering his neighbor, Sarah Halimi, in 2017. He shouted “Allahu Akbar,” or “God is great” in Arabic, and “I killed the devil,” shortly before throwing her off the balcony of her third-floor Paris apartment, The New York Times said.

On Wednesday, the Court of Cassation – France’s final court of appeal – affirmed two prior judgments that ruled that Traoré could not be held criminally responsible for his actions because he was in a state of drug-induced psychosis.

Traoré, a drug dealer, smoked pot every day for 13 years and had up to 15 joints a day, Israel Hayom reported. Toxicological analysis revealed the presence of cannabis in his blood on the day he was arrested, the French newspaper Libération said.

The court noted that “a person is not criminally responsible if suffering, at the time of the event, from psychic or neuropsychic disturbance that has eliminated all discernment or control,” The Times said.
