Statistics Reveal Horrifying Numbers of Down Syndrome Babies Killed Through Abortion

While countries like Iceland have grossly celebrated the eradication of individuals with Down syndrome from their society (eugenics as its worst) – we are teaming up to send a new message to our country’s leaders, employers, educators, healthcare providers, future parents and most importantly, individuals with Down syndrome – life for people with Down syndrome matters.

Our life’s passion and work, in different corners of our great country, brought us together with this common moral – “pro-life for all of life.” For the two of us, a future that doesn’t include people with Down syndrome is very personal (Chloe is a self-advocate from Pennsylvania who is one of the fiercest advocates on the planet and Weir is the former President & C.E.O. of the National Down Syndrome Society and a candidate for U.S. Congress).

Today, we are calling on all Members of Congress, regardless of party, to put your differences aside and help us ensure that our society embraces diversity, embraces differing abilities and, most importantly, stands for life, from the very beginning to natural death, by supporting a new bill, the Down Syndrome Discrimination by Abortion Prohibition Act, which places a federal ban on the performance of an abortion because an unborn child has been diagnosed with Down syndrome.

There continues to be a widespread increase in the Down syndrome prenatal screening tests in the United States (and across the world) which is leading to a decrease in the number of babies with Down syndrome. And while these screening tests (called noninvasive prenatal screening tests (NIPT)) are intended to only screen for Down syndrome (not diagnose), the pressure to not seek further testing, and terminate a pregnancy is real. For instance, the most recent stats available to the public estimate that 67% of babies with Down syndrome are terminated in the Unites States, 77% in France, 98% in Denmark and 100% in Iceland. Zero NFL Teams Want Kaepernick After Controversial Workout

One week after Colin Kaepernick worked out for seven NFL teams at high school outside Atlanta, the former starting quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers has been contacted by zero teams, league sources told ESPN.

Not only has Kaepernick’s highly publicized workout not resulted in any job leads from the seven teams that attended the workout, but his representatives sent film from the workout to the 25 other teams that did not attend; that, too, has not generated interest. . .

After his workout, Kaepernick called out the NFL and claimed the league has “denied” him a job.

“I’ve been ready for three years, I’ve been denied for three years,” he said. “We all know why I came out here. [I] showed it today in front of everybody. We have nothing to hide. So we’re waiting for the 32 owners, 32 teams, Roger Goodell, all of them to stop running. Stop running from the truth. Stop running from the people.”

The workout became controversial after Kaepernick and NFL representatives were unable to agree on terms of a liability waiver and Kaepernick’s media availability. Because of the disagreement, Kaepernick canceled the workout, which the NFL originally organized, and instead held his own, severely limiting his exposure to potential suitors. Studies Show How Families Really Act During Thanksgiving

Since President Trump’s election in 2016, far-left activists have been pushing their progressive followers into disrupting Thanksgiving dinner by arguing with their conservative family members over the current political issues.

Last year, The New York Times profiled ways for liberals to argue with their conservative family members at the dinner table, an advice column quickly outdone by Eater asserting that people are morally obligated to debate racist Trump supporters before asking them to pass the gravy. Earlier this month, Joy Reid of MSNBC laid out detailed instructions on ways to discuss the current Democratic Party witch hunt known as the impeachment inquiry at the Thanksgiving table. . .

So, do Americans by and large engage in these kinds of political skirmishes over the Thanksgiving dinner table, at least the kind that Joy Reid envisions – enlightened progressives schooling their ignorant family members about Orange Man Bad’s sexism and racism?

Studies actually show that few Americans argue on Thanksgiving; they prefer to practice that age-old axiom “agree to disagree” as they enjoy another slice of that delicious pecan pie Uncle Roscoe and Auntie Carol made from scratch.

“In reality, very few Americans actually fight about politics on Thanksgiving,” notes Abraham Gutman of The Philadelphia Inquirer. “A 2017 HuffPost/YouGov survey found that only 3% of Americans said that they are ‘very likely,’ and 8% are “somewhat likely,” to get into a political argument with family members during Thanksgiving dinner. The result held at 3% for people who expected both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton supporters to attend the dinner, though 20% said they are ‘somewhat likely’ to argue.” (Read more from “Studies Show How Families Really Act During Thanksgiving” HERE)

Another Town Declares Itself a ‘Sanctuary for the Unborn’

A seventh Texas town voted to become a sanctuary for unborn babies Monday.

The town of Westbrook in West Texas voted unanimously on the pro-life ordinance, banning abortions and abortion facilities in their city and declaring it to be a place where unborn babies are protected and valued.

Earlier this year, Waskom, Naples, Joaquin, Tenaha and Gilmer also approved sanctuary city ordinances to protect unborn babies. Omaha was the sixth city, but it recently retracted the ordinance and passed a non-enforceable resolution instead, The Texan reports. . .

More cities are expected to follow. The biggest may be Big Spring (population 27,000), which is slated to consider a pro-life ordinance on Dec. 10.

“As a longtime believer in the right to life for the unborn, I look forward to bringing the anti-abortion ordinance to the council at our next meeting,” Mayor Shannon Thomason recently told the Big Spring Herald. (Read more from “Another Town Declares Itself a ‘Sanctuary for the Unborn'” HERE)

Navy Veteran Found Dead in His Apartment Three Years Later

A Navy veteran found deceased in his Texas apartment was thought by officials to have died up to three years ago, the last time anyone heard from him.

The remains of Ronald Wayne White, 54, were in the DeSoto Town Center apartment in the Dallas suburbs “for an extended period of time, up to when he was last known alive three years ago,” according to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office. White retired from the U.S. Navy as a chief petty officer in 2004 and had worked as a defense contractor since that time.

White’s absence was first noticed by his mother, Doris Stevens, 70, who said that even though her son traveled often, it was unusual for them to go months without speaking to one another. After she was unable to reach him on his birthday in April 2017, Stevens contacted the Dallas police and police in nearby Glenn Heights, where Wayne once owned a home, but claimed authorities would not permit her to file a missing person’s report for her son.

“They asked how old my son was, and I told them, and they said, ‘You can’t make a missing person report for a grown-up,'” Stevens said of her efforts. . .

Stevens, who lives in Shreveport, Louisiana and is dependent on a limited income, claims that she also tried to get family to help pool money to hire a private investigator but was not successful. A statement from the DeSoto Town Center said Wayne’s body went undiscovered for so long because he had set up his bills to be auto-paid, and a disruption in normal behavior was not detected. His remains were discovered by maintenance staff responding to an automated request for service. (Read more from “Navy Veteran Found Dead in His Apartment Three Years Later” HERE)

Writer Declares: ‘I Got a Vasectomy Because of Climate Change’

Wes Siler is Outside magazine’s Indefinitely Wild columnist. He writes about “adventure-travel in the outdoors, the vehicles and gear that get us there, and the people we meet along the way.” . . .

As Siler notes in his recent piece for Outside magazine, he “got a vasectomy because of climate change.” . . .

However, by not having a child, Siler said he’d save the world from 58 tons of carbon emissions annually: “Any other action we could take, even all the actions we could ever possibly add up together, pale in comparison.”

More from Siler’s column:

That’s because there are simply too many humans on this planet. We’ve all been told that driving an electric car or putting solar panels on our roofs will help, but that involves buying more stuff, which has a terrible impact on the environment, no matter how green the image. Two people deciding to make fewer humans eliminates the entire cycle of consumption that would fuel that kid’s life.

High Schooler Traumatized After Transgenders Get ‘Unrestricted’ Access to Female Locker Room

There was some pointed fallout after an Illinois school district last week voted to give transgender students “unrestricted” access to the locker room of their identified gender.

Julia Burca — a swimmer for William Fremd High School in Palatine, which is part of District 211 in the Chicago suburbs — spoke on camera after Thursday’s 5-2 school board vote and gamely held back tears while making her case against the decision. . .

“I feel uncomfortable that my privacy is being invaded,” Burca told the Daily Herald, adding that because of her sport she needs to change “multiple times, naked, in front of the other students in the locker room.”

She added that she understands the school board “has an obligation to all students” but that she wishes those officials could have done something to accommodate those in situations like hers. Despite Previous Denials, DNA Test Proves Hunter Biden Is Father of Arkansas Woman’s Baby

A DNA test has confirmed that Hunter Biden fathered a child with an Arkansas woman who is suing him for financial support, after months of Biden denying the allegations and asking that the suit be thrown out. . .

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette first reported Wednesday that “DNA testing has established ‘with scientific certainty'” that Biden is the father of the baby, according to court documents filed by the child’s mother, Lunden Alexis Roberts. According to the motion, Biden “is not expected to challenge the results of the DNA test or the testing process.”

Biden has repeatedly denied having a sexual relationship with Lunden, and demanded in August that the paternity suit against him be tossed out by the court, The Daily Mail reported. Biden eventually agreed to take a DNA test.

As Business Insider noted, “Biden’s relationship history is complicated.”

At the time of Biden’s affair with Lunden, he was dating his late brother’s widow, Hallie Biden, who he moved in with after divorcing his wife of 22 years. Biden remarried in May to Melissa Cohen, who he reportedly had met just days before. (Read more from “Despite Previous Denials, DNA Test Proves Hunter Biden Is Father of Arkansas Woman’s Baby” HERE)

Judge Strikes down Trump Pro-Life Rule Protecting Doctors from Being Forced to Do Abortions

Another federal judge has struck down pro-life rules implemented by President Donald Trump protecting medical professionals such as doctors or nurses from being forced to kill babies in abortion or make referrals for abortions.

Earlier this year, President Donald Trump issued new rules that further protect doctors, nurses and medical professionals who don’t want to be forced to do abortions or refer for them. Trump announced new regulations through the Department of Health and Human Services that will more effectively enforce existing federal laws that protect the conscience rights of healthcare providers.

Despite current law that has protected conscience rights for over 30 years, the lack of regulations resulted in confusion and a lack of awareness within the healthcare community, leaving healthcare personnel vulnerable to discrimination and forcing them to drop their specialties at a time of healthcare scarcity. . .

In early November, District Judge Paul Engelmayer invalidated the rule on multiple grounds, including a finding that it violated the Constitution’s spending clause by allowing the administration to cut off funds approved by Congress to providers who do not comply with the rule by forcing employees to perform services to which they object.

Late Tuesday, another federal judge, located in liberal San Francisco, struck down Trump’s pro-life rule. U.S. District Judge William Alsup claimed Trump’s pro-life rule is invalid because it would let ambulance drivers refuse to take a woman for an emergency abortion — even though doctors have certified that killing a baby in an abortion is never medically necessary. Disturbing: ‘Grandmothers for Reproductive Rights’ Group Promotes Killing Grandchildren

As unbelievable as it may seem, some grandmas are advocating for the deaths of their own grandchildren through abortion.

This fall, Grandmothers for Reproductive Rights, or GRR!, is celebrating the fact that Maine taxpayers now are being forced to pay for them, too.

The Colby Echo reports the Maine pro-abortion group is becoming widely-known for its state lobbying efforts and bright yellow T-shirts. Founded in 2013, the group promotes abortion on college campuses and at farmers markets across Maine, writes letters to the editor and urges state lawmakers to support abortion on demand, according to the report.

Member Elayne Richard, of Fairfield, bragged to the Echo that her group is one of the reasons why the state now forces taxpayers to fund elective abortions through the state Medicaid program. The legislation passed in May. State taxpayers will pay an estimated $375,000 for abortions annually under the law, WABI TV reports.

“Now, we’re able to have MaineCare pay for abortions; [it is] why we’re able to have other medical providers provide abortions as long as it’s in its scope of practice,” Richard said. (Read more from “Disturbing: Grandmas for Abortion Group Promotes Killing Grandchildren” HERE)
