Surprise, Surprise: Turns out Hunter Biden Isn’t the Only One Benefiting From His Parents’ Careers

It turns out that Hunter Biden isn’t the only one who is rolling in the dough thanks to his parents’ political career. Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, has made $9 million since 2011 for sitting on the board of IAC/InterActiveCorp, a media and internet investment company, The Hill reported. The company has stock in 150 well-known brands, like Tinder, Match, Vimeo, Angie’s List, Home Advisor and the Daily Beast.

According to Barron’s, Clinton has sat on the board of IAC since 2011. Part of her agreement is to receive “an annual $50,000 retainer and $250,000 in restricted IAC stock units.”

A December filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission revealed Clinton “owned the equivalent of 35,242 IAC shares, consisting of 29,843 shares and 5,399 share units under a deferred-compensation plan,” which is worth almost $9 million dollars. Once a board member quits, their share units convert to stocks, Barron’s reported.

Clinton’s stock has skyrocketed. In June it was worth 7.2 million and in October 2018 that same stock was worth 6.6 million.

In addition to sitting on IAC’s board, Clinton sits on the board of Expedia Group. That position typically pays $250,000, at least as of 2015. (Read more from “Surprise, Surprise: Turns out Hunter Biden Isn’t the Only One Benefiting From His Parents’ Careers” HERE)

Illegal Alien Muslim Religious Leader Charged With Sex Crimes Against Children; Deportation Order Not Followed (VIDEO)

A Muslim community leader has been charged with child molestation in Fort Bend County, Texas, and police are angry that he could have been deported before the alleged crimes took place.

59-year-old Mohamed Omar Ali is a native of Somalia but he has been teaching as an Islamic leader in the United States since he entered the country in 2013.

He was arrested on Friday and charged with 3 counts of indecency with a child and one count of sexual assault of a child under the age of fourteen. . .

Sheriff Troy Nehls said in a press conference that Ali should have been deported years ago.

“If there is a deportation order on him, why wasn’t he placed into custody months ago or maybe even years ago?” Nehls asked angrily. “Because he came into Fort Bend County in 2013.” (Read more from “Muslim Religious Leader Charged With Sex Crimes Against Children” HERE)

This Fruit Compound Shows Anti-Aging Effects on Human Body

In a new study, researchers found that urolithin A, a metabolite of biomolecules found in pomegranates and other fruits, could help slow certain aging processes in the human body.

The compound could slow down this process by improving the functioning of mitochondria—the cells’ powerhouses. . .

When ingested, these molecules are converted into a compound called urolithin A (UA) in the human gut.

In the study, the researchers found that UA can slow down the mitochondrial aging process. The catch is that not everyone produces UA naturally.

The results were compelling: UA stimulates mitochondrial biogenesis—the process by which cells increase mitochondrial mass—in the same way as regular exercise. (Read more from “This Fruit Compound Shows Anti-Aging Effects on Human Body” HERE)

WATCH: Police Officer Pays for Hungry Shoplifters’ Groceries

Field Training Officer Kenneth Martin was named “Employee of the Month” by his department for an act of compassion toward a desperate pair of would-be thieves.

Martin was one of two officers called to a Fort Smith Walmart for the apprehension of a small family of shoplifters. A husband, wife, and their young children had been caught trying to steal food from the international retail chain. While the man was arrested, Martin released the mother to take her children home.

That simple act of mercy might have been enough, but the Arkansas policeman was not satisfied to break even in front of hungry children in the dregs of winter. The officer’s own body camera captured his answer: “Their stealing food and they’ve got kids,” Martin said. “I have to take him to jail, but I don’t have to make the kids think I’m an ******.”

Methodist Christians Who Oppose Same-Sex Marriage Agree to Separate Into New ‘Traditionalist’ Denomination

The United Methodist Church announced an agreement to split into two separate denominations over the issue of same-sex marriage and the ordination of gay and lesbian clergy, according to the New York Times.

Those who hold to the belief that the church should not support same-sex marriage and should not ordain gay clergy will separate into a “traditionalist” denomination if the agreement is approved in May at the denomination’s annual conference.

The schism is the result of two three-day mediation sessions in Washington. A committee of church leaders determined that separating was “the best means to resolve our differences, allowing each part of the Church to remain true to its theological understanding.”

At last year’s conference, 53 percent of leaders and lay members voted to tighten the prohibition of homosexuality within the church, calling the practice “incompatible with Christian teaching.” (Read more from “Methodist Christians Who Oppose Same-Sex Marriage Agree to Separate Into New ‘Traditionalist’ Denomination” HERE)

Indiana Asks Supreme Court to Uphold Parental Notice of Abortion Law

The attorney general of Indiana has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold a state law that requires parents to be notified when a minor obtains an abortion. . .

The law pertains to minors who have already received an exemption from a juvenile court allowing them to have an abortion without parental permission. Parental notice, however, is still required except when the court indicates the child lives with abusive family members or some other reason that would be against the best interests of the minor.

The preliminary injunction against the enforcement of Indiana’s parental notice law by a three-judge panel of the Seventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals is still in place. That court declined the state’s petition for a rehearing of the matter by the full court.

In 2017, the ACLU challenged the law on behalf of Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky shortly after it passed and just before it was about to be enacted, reported WIBC News.

“This requirement would impose an undue burden on the recognized constitutional right of young women to obtain an abortion,” said ACLU lawyer Ken Falk. “In some cases, parents aren’t available or would put the woman in serious danger of either physical or emotional harm of blocking the abortion.” (Read more from “Indiana Asks Supreme Court to Uphold Parental Notice of Abortion Law” HERE)

Judge Rules 11-Month-Old to Be Taken off Life Support Against Mom’s Wishes

On Thursday, a Texas Judge Sandee Marion ruled that 11-month-old Tinslee Lewis can be taken off life support against the wishes of the child’s mother Trinity Lewis.

To the disagreement of Ms. Lewis, doctors say Tinslee is in pain and will never recover from her rare heart condition and other medical issues.

Ms. Lewis’ request to “issue an injunction to ensure that the Cook Children’s Medical Center doesn’t end her daughter Tinslee Lewis’ life-sustaining treatment” was denied by Judge Marion, the chief justice of Texas’ Fourth Court of Appeals, CBN News reported.

Tinslee was born premature and suffers from a rare heart defect, chronic lung disease, and severe chronic high blood pressure, according to CBN. “She hasn’t come off a ventilator since going into respiratory arrest in early July and requires full respiratory and cardiac support, deep sedation and to be medically paralyzed. The hospital said doctors believe she’s suffering,” the report noted. . .

Asked about the law ordering her daughter to be taken off life support, the young mother told reporters, “It’s not fair and I don’t feel it’s their right to take somebody’s life because they want to stop treating them.” (Read more from “Judge Rules 11-Month-Old to Be Taken off Life Support Against Mom’s Wishes” HERE)

Watching Pornography Rewires the Brain to a More Juvenile State

. . .Science is only just beginning to reveal the neurological repercussions of porn consumption. But it is already clear that the mental health and sex lives of its widespread audience are suffering catastrophic effects. From depression to erectile dysfunction, porn appears to be hijacking our neural wiring with dire consequences. . .

The desensitization of our reward circuitry sets the stage for sexual dysfunctions to develop, but the repercussions don’t end there. Studies show that changes in the transmission of dopamine can facilitate depression and anxiety. In agreement with this observation, porn consumers report greater depressive symptoms, lower quality of life and poorer mental health compared to those who don’t watch porn. . .

Porn use has been correlated with erosion of the prefrontal cortex — the region of the brain that houses executive functions like morality, willpower and impulse control.

To better understand the role of this structure in behaviour, it’s important to know that it remains underdeveloped during childhood. This is why children struggle to regulate their emotions and impulses. Damage to the prefrontal cortex in adulthood is termed hypofrontality, which predisposes an individual to behave compulsively and make poor decisions.

It’s somewhat paradoxical that adult entertainment may revert our brain wiring to a more juvenile state. The much greater irony is that while porn promises to satisfy and provide sexual gratification, it delivers the opposite. Here’s the Gender Ideology That YOUTUBE Recommended for a Nine-Year-Old Girl

YouTube appears to have recommended a video that explains a “gender non-conforming” lifestyle for eight to twelve-year-old YouTube users.

Heritage Action Executive Director Tim Chapman tweeted Tuesday that he created a YouTube profile for his 9-year-old daughter “in hopes of having better control over content.” But after Chapman had created the account, he noticed that YouTube recommended a 2018 video created by HiHo Kids to his daughter titled “Kids Meet A Gender Non-Conforming Person.” . . .

Chapman included a screenshot of the content YouTube recommended showing that the platform offered the content beside the caption saying that “content recommended for kids ages 8-12 allows kids with growing independence to search and explore additional music videos, gaming, family vlogs, science, and more.” . . .

Chapman told the Daily Caller News Foundation that though he disagrees with “the extreme views of the leadership at Google,” he respects their right to hold these views.

“But when they cross the line and push those views onto children, it shows how little respect their leadership has for the millions of American families using their products who have different perspectives on these issues,” Chapman said. “And worse, it shows a determination to engage in culture wars and push those of us who dissent from the misguided conventional wisdom of the age to the margins of society.” (Read more from “Here’s the Gender Ideology That YOUTUBE Recommended for a Nine-Year-Old Girl” HERE)

Police Officer Admits to Fabricating Story About Vulgar Message on Cup

A Kansas police chief who called out a local McDonald’s — after one of his officers claimed he was served a cup of coffee with a vulgar and insulting message attached — said Monday the officer has resigned after fabricating the incident.

Herington Police Chief Brian Hornaday confirmed the unnamed officer made up the story about being given a coffee cup with “F—–g pig” written on it. The incident caused a stir on social media over the weekend and resulted in criticism of the fast-food giant.

“This was completely and solely fabricated by a Herington police officer who is no longer with our agency,” Hornaday said during a Monday news conference. “Moving forward, the Herington Police Department will work tirelessly to regain to loss of trust with both McDonald’s and with the citizens that we serve.”

Hornaday also said the unnamed officer was 23 and had been with the department for just two months. He called the incident a “black-eye for law enforcement” and said no criminal charges were expected to be filed.

On Monday, the owner of the Junction City McDonald’s denied his employees wrote the message. Dana Cook said video surveillance proved his workers committed no wrongdoing. (Read more from “Police Officer Admits to Fabricating Story About Vulgar Message on Cup” HERE)
