Toy Gun Prompts Lockdown of Three U.S. Campuses

A security alert which resulted in three college campuses in Florida going on lockdown was later revealed to be a false alarm involving a brightly colored toy gun.

An alarm was raised after a student at Florida Atlantic University reported seeing a man with a rifle on campus on the evening of Thursday, October 3. The student said the man walked towards her whilst she was in her car and pointed a gun at her. . .

As a precaution, the campuses at Florida Atlantic University, Broward College and Nova Southeastern University all went into lockdown. The colleges warned students and other people who may be on campus to seek shelter in a secure location on social media. . .

“After clearing the scene at the #Davie college area. A #DaviePolice officer located an individual with this toy gun walking on Stirling Rd,” the force tweeted. “They both matched the description given by the witness. The toy gun was collected and the investigation was turned over to detectives.”

Teacher Allegedly Displays Graphic Saying Confederate Flag Means ‘You Intend to Marry Your Sister’ (VIDEO)

A Georgia teacher allegedly showed a Powerpoint image of a Confederate flag to the teacher’s classroom accompanied by a caption reading, “A sticker you put on the back of your pickup truck to announce that you intend to marry your sister. Think of it like a white trash ‘Save the Date’ card.” . . .

The incident allegedly occurred at Hephzibah High School, where the daughter of Melissa Fuller was in the teacher’s class. Melissa Fuller told WRDW, “She found it offensive, so she sent it to me and asked me what I thought.” Fuller posted the story on Facebook. Fuller stated, “A lot of [it] is that it’s not morally correct. It’s unethical. It’s just something you don’t want to discuss today in today’s world and especially inside of a classroom.” She added, “Why was that used? With it being such a rough area, why would you put that out there to start a class discussion that could have turned very ugly?”

Fuller said her daughter had once worn a Confederate flag belt buckle to school, then removed it after she was told it was inappropriate, but still received an in-house suspension. She asked, “If she can’t wear that belt buckle, then why is it appropriate to make an assignment out of it?” . . .

WRDW reported that the district released the following statement: “The Richmond County School System is committed to creating a diverse, equitable learning environment for all students. The language used in the example was unacceptable and has no place in our classrooms.”

Former Transgender: Hundreds Who Had Gender Reassignment Surgery Wish They Hadn’t, Want to Transition Back (VIDEO)

‘Hundreds’ of transgender people who have transitioned want to un-do their surgery, a campaigner who decided to stop identifying as male has revealed.

Charlie Evans, 28, from Newcastle, was born female but identified as male for almost ten years before deciding to stop taking testosterone and become a woman again.

‘Hundreds’ of people have contacted her, including 30 in Newcastle alone, asking for guidance around detransitioning – the process of becoming the gender they were born – after she went public with her decision last year, she told Sky News.

‘I’m in communication with 19 and 20-year-olds who have had full gender reassignment surgery who wish they hadn’t, and their dysphoria hasn’t been relieved, they don’t feel better for it,’ Ms Evans said.

Tanning Salons Are Trying to Kill Gay People with Cancer or Something

The media loves to create crises for victim classes where there aren’t any, however flimsy the available data may be. Conflating abortion with women’s health is a prime example. A new theory has the LGBTQ crowd being targeted by tanning salons, thus increasing cancer risk.

Newsweek:

Tanning salons are more likely to be located in U.S. neighborhoods with higher numbers of same-sex male couples, according to scientists who fear the industry could be targeting the demographic.

By studying census data on 10 U.S. cities, researchers found tanning salons were twice as likely to be found within one mile of a neighborhood where 10 percent of households were made up of same-sex male couples, compared with areas of less than 10 percent. The team looked at the cities with the largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender populations in the U.S.: Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, San Diego Dallas, Phoenix, Washington, D.C., Portland and Denver.

This pattern remained regardless of the income or ethnicity of the residents in a neighbourhood and the proportion of young women, who are also more drawn to such salons on average.

Hillary Compares Decision to Not Divorce Bill to Parenting a Transgender Child

“Oh, boy, I think the gutsiest thing I’ve ever done, well, personally — make the decision to stay in my marriage. Publicly, politically run for president. And keep going. Just get up every day and keep going,” Clinton told “Good Morning America” on Tuesday. . .

“You know, for some people that I’ve known the right thing was take your kids and go, clean out your bank accounts, don’t look back. For other people, you know, get into a negotiation and figure out whether you want to stay,” she said. “In my case, after really hard, hard thinking about it, counseling, praying, all the things that I did and that we went through, I just decided it was the right decision for me but that doesn’t mean it was an easy decision. It was a really hard decision.”

Then she said her decision was similar to parents deciding how to handle a situation in which their children told them they are transgender.

“Sometimes when your child has an issue — I had a friend a few years ago who called up and said ‘I don’t know who to talk to about this, but my little girl wants to be a boy. What do I do?’ And, you know, several of us kind of — we didn’t know what to do, we never had a friend who’d faced that before. NFL Player Fined $7,000 for Wearing ‘Man of God’ Headband UNDER Helmet

A New Orleans Saints linebacker says he will stop wearing a “Man of God” headband after being fined by the NFL.

The Saints’ Demario Davis wore a headband with the words “Man of God” the first three weeks of the season before the NFL noticed and fined him $7,017. League policy prohibits “personal messages” on the uniform. . .

Davis is vocal about his faith. His Twitter and Instagram bios read “Servant of Christ.” He’s also founder of the Devoted Dreamers Foundation, a faith-based organization for inner-city children.

“I don’t think a lot of people were aware of the policy that was in place – I wasn’t even fully aware of it,” Davis told the newspaper about the policy and his headband. “I just wanted to put it out and just kind of help fans who care about the game understand a more intricate part of the game.” . . .

Doctors Wanted to Leave Girl With Rare Condition to Die, Parents Had to Undergo Legal Battle for Hospital Transfer

Tafida Raqeeb has been diagnosed with arteriovenous malformation, a rare condition which causes the blood vessels to have abnormal connections between the arteries and veins. . .

Doctors in Genoa, Italy state that they have an expertise in this condition, they are willing to treat Tafida, and “they suggest there is a good chance she will emerge from the coma she is in,” according to Ron Liddle of The Sun (a UK newspaper). But the Royal London Hospital is refusing to let the parents take Tafida to Genoa.

Now, Five-old Tafida Raqeeb can be taken to Italy for treatment by her parents, a court ruled today.

SPUC described the ruling as a ‘victory for human life and justice’. The harrowing case was a hard fought battle between Tafida’s parents who want to take their very sick child to a hospital in Italy, where doctors will continue life-support, and the Barts Health NHS Trust, which claims that removing life support is in the child’s best interests. . .

Reacting to the news, Dr Anthony McCarthy, SPUC Director of Research, said: ‘Our hearts go out to Tafida and her parents, whose precious daughter has been allowed to live. The court ruling sends an important message to the doctors at the Royal London Hospital that their view of Tafida’s life was wrong. Leftist Actress Deletes Twitter Poll That Failed to Show Support for Impeachment

Liberal actress Rosie O’Donnell was forced to delete her poll on Twitter meant to show that there was support for the impeachment of President Donald Trump after it said the opposite.

The decidedly unscientific poll showed instead that a majority of respondents didn’t want the president to be impeached. . .

Twitter polls are hardly representative of public opinion, but the attempt to manifest public support of impeachment backfired on the vehement opponent of the president.

A poll from HarrisX and The Hill published on Wednesday showed that support for the president had risen to a high for the year of 49 percent. On the other hand, a Morning Consult poll said that support for impeachment had grown greatly by 7 points to 43 percentage points. Public Schools Teaching ‘Math Ethnic Studies,’ Asks, ‘Who Gets to Say If an Answer Is Right?’

. . .That appears to be the contention of Seattle Public Schools, which has offered a course for K-12 students titled “Math Ethnic Studies.” The framework for the class lists multiple themes, what students will learn from those themes, and important questions to be asked.

The first theme, “Origins, Identity, and Agency,” is defined as “the ways in which we view ourselves as mathematicians and members of broader mathematical communities.” . . .

Yes, Seattle has determined that such terms exist in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The theme is defined as “the ways in which individuals and groups define mathematical knowledge so as to see ‘Western’ mathematics as the only legitimate expression of mathematical identity and intelligence.” . . .

Ah yes, what “[Blank] Studies” program wouldn’t include a call for activism from minors? This theme is defined as “fostering a sense of advocacy, empowerment, and action in the students that creates internal motivation to engage in and contribute to their identities as mathematicians.”

“Students will be confident in their ability to construct & decode mathematical knowledge, truth, and beauty so they can contribute to their experiences and the experiences of people in their community,” the framework continues. Lawmakers Ask for DOJ Help on Fetal Remains Discovery: ‘This Case Has Countless Victims’

The following is an excerpt from Blaze Media’s daily Capitol Hill Brief email newsletter:

67 House Republicans called on the Justice Department Tuesday to assist in the investigation of thousands of fetal remains found at a deceased Midwest abortionist’s home.

“We write to you regarding the horrific discovery of more than 2,200 preserved human fetal remains on the Illinois property of the recently deceased abortionist Ulrich ‘George’ Klopfer, who practiced for decades in northern Indiana until 2015,” lawmakers wrote in a letter to Attorney General William Barr. “A careful and thorough investigation of this matter is necessary to ensure justice is done and to prevent such tragic situations from occurring in the future.”

The letter, spearheaded by Indiana Reps. Jackie Walorski and Jim Banks, also asks the Justice Department to look into state laws and practice regarding the disposal of human fetal remains in order to “aid Congress in examining potential legislative remedies to ensure human fetal remains are always treated with dignity.”
