Jihadi War Between Taliban and Islamic State Intensifies in Afghanistan

Deadly clashes between jihadi rivals the Taliban and the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) have intensified this week in eastern Afghanistan’s Nangarhar and Kunar provinces, reportedly leaving several terrorists dead and displacing hundreds of families.

Neighboring Nangahar and Kunar provinces border Pakistan, which the United States, India, and Afghanistan have repeatedly accused of harboring the Afghan Taliban and other jihadis.

In an interview with Khaama Press (KP) published on Thursday, Ataullah Khogyani, a spokesman for the governor of Nangarhar, confirmed that “clashes intensified between Taliban and ISIS militants in [the province’s] Khogyani and Shirzad district in the past two days, leaving several militants dead.” . . .

The Nangarhar spokesman revealed that the fighting has displaced at least 300 families, noting that there are efforts underway to provide them with aid. Officials in Kunar told KP similar battles between ISIS and the Taliban had taken place in the province’s Chapa Dara district. . .

Jihadis like the Taliban generate most of their funding from trafficking and cultivating opium, the primary ingredient in heroin, some of which is fueling the unprecedented number of drug overdoses in the United States. Afghanistan remains the world’s top producer of opium despite billions of American taxpayer funds devoted to counternarcotics in the war-ravaged country. Judge Issues Crucial Decision in Lawsuit Against President Trump’s Pro-Life Order

Mulvaney: Trump Personally Wrote Pro-Life Comments in State of the Union Speech

By Washington Free Beacon. Acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney praised President Donald Trump’s personal commitment to the protection of religious liberty while speaking at the 15th annual National Catholic Prayer breakfast on Tuesday.

Mulvaney told the audience of Catholic leaders gathered in Washington, D.C., that in addition to emphasizing religious liberty during his public speeches, during private meetings at the White House Trump also speaks with world leaders about the importance of protecting the rights of Christians.

“He will look at them and say, ‘You’re not doing enough to take care of the Christians in your country,’ or ‘Thank you for helping the Christians in your country,'” Mulvaney said.

Mulvaney also said that Trump’s comments on abortion in 2019 State of the Union speech, which focused in large part on the then-recent scandal surrounding Virginia governor Ralph Northam’s (D.) apparent endorsement of infanticide, were added in by Trump himself shortly before the speech.

“The president was looking at it the very last time before he went out to give the speech, and he made some notes—he didn’t tell us what he was doing when he made the notes,” Mulvaney said. “If you remember the speech, you heard what the president was writing. 5-Time Deported Illegal Alien Beats Baby to Death

In another grim reminder than not all those pouring through our border from Central America are peaceful immigrants, a Honduran national was arrested by Memphis police on April 12 for allegedly beating a four-month-old baby to death.

Jose Avila-Agurcia, a 33-year-old illegal alien from Honduras, was charged with first-degree murder in Shleby County, Tennessee, this week for allegedly striking a four-month-old baby multiple times, inflicting fatal fractures to the baby’s skull and ribs. The child’s mother, Mercy Lizondro-Chacon, alleges that the suspect beat the baby to death when he found out that the baby was not his child after he previously assumed he had fathered the boy.

An ICE spokesman told CR that biometrics confirm that the suspect’s real name is Carlos Zuniga-Aviles, an illegal alien who was previously deported five times prior to this incident. The name Jose Avila-Agurcia is an alias he provided to local officials.

“U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has lodged an immigration detainer on unlawfully present Honduran national Carlos Zuniga-Aviles AKA Jose Avila-Agurcia following his arrest for murder in Shelby County, Tennessee,” said ICE spokesman Bryan Cox. “ICE will seek to take him into custody to reinstate his removal order following the resolution of the criminal charges he currently faces.”

According to ICE, the suspect was removed from the country first in Feb. 2010, and then four subsequent times – Jan. 2011, March 2012, Nov. 2015, and Dec. 2016. Two of those times he was caught by Border Patrol and removed; three other times he was deported by ICE.

In addition, Shelby County officials are refusing to comply with a state law requiring local law enforcement to cooperate with ICE detainer requests. When it comes to an issue that is national in scope and affects the sovereignty and security of the whole of the people, some liberal politicians suddenly discover an affinity for localism to such a degree that they will even defy the feds and the state.

Florida is the latest state to consider legislation barring localities from denying ICE detainers and impeding federal immigration authorities. The Florida House passed the bill 69-47 on Wednesday, and the Senate is expected to debate the bill today.

The core function of government is protecting the citizenry from criminals, and the core function of the federal government, in particular, is to protect us from other countries’ people who would do us harm. That clearly starts with enforcement both at the border and in the interior.

ICE is now warning localities that don’t cooperate with detainers in order to shield illegal aliens from deportation that their actions will likely result in more deportations in their area. “Any local jurisdiction thinking that refusing to cooperate with ICE will result in a decrease in local immigration enforcement is mistaken,” said ICE in a statement. “Local jurisdictions that choose to not cooperate with ICE are likely to see an increase in ICE enforcement activity, as in jurisdictions that do not cooperate with ICE the agency has no choice but to conduct more at-large arrest operations. A consequence of ICE being forced to make more arrests on the streets is the agency is likely to encounter other unlawfully present foreign nationals that wouldn’t have been encountered had we been allowed to take custody of a criminal target within the confines of a local jail.” (For more from the author of “5-Time Deported Illegal Alien Beats Baby to Death” please click HERE)

Trump Admin Gets Pro-Abortion Language Removed From UN Anti-Rape Resolution

By Life Site News. The Trump administration secured the removal of pro-abortion language from a United Nations resolution against rape in war zones Tuesday by threatening to veto the measure if the final version contained a notorious euphemism for abortion.

The UN Security Council had been debating updates a resolution first approved in 2013 to combat the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war. The United States objected to a reference in the document calling for “comprehensive health services, including sexual and reproductive health” for “survivors of sexual violence,” on the grounds that “reproductive health” is a longstanding term of art for abortion and related services.

America remains “strongly committed to preventing conflict-related sexual violence and holding responsible persons accountable” and agrees “more needs to be done to deter the recurrence of such crimes and assist survivors,” the cable said, but “cannot accept unamended explicit, or implicit, references to ‘sexual and reproductive health’” because “we do not support or promote abortion.”

Bowing to U.S. Demands, U.N. Waters Down Resolution

By US News. A U.S. threat to veto U.N. Security Council action on sexual violence in conflict was averted on Tuesday after a long-agreed phrase was removed because President Donald Trump’s administration sees it as code for abortion, diplomats said.

This Nearly Blacked out Poop Map of San Francisco Says All You Need to Know

The streets of San Francisco have become so infested with human feces that if you were to place onto a map all the recorded cases since 2011, the city would appear to be covered with it from top-to-bottom.

“A new map pinpointing the locations where human feces are reported to have been found in the California city since 2011 shows San Francisco has a staggering problem with the stinky stuff,” Fox News reported. “Nearly every city block has had a poop sighting in recent years as the city grapples with homelessness, according to data compiled by Open The Books.”

As the map below shows, parts of the city have been deluged with so many reports of human fecal matter in the streets since 2011 that they have been blacked out entirely, as if they were the city’s no man’s land; the largest area of complaints being on the streets where both Twitter and Uber are headquartered:

Beyond making the city a toxic sinkhole of poor hygiene, the epidemic of human beings defecating in the streets has had a tremendous economic impact on the city of St. Francis. NBC News reported last year that the city has become so filth-infested that the city spends approximately $30 million a year to clean human feces off the sidewalk. Not only that, the city has only made the problem worse by enabling people’s drug problems through its distribution of free syringes, which are often seen discarded in public places. Graham was specifically responding to the South Bend, Indiana, mayor’s comments about God not being on the side of any political party. . .

Buttigieg has used Christianity to criticize his political opponents as part of his presidential campaign, with Vice President Mike Pence as one of his favorite targets. The presidential frontrunner has tried to reframe Christianity to fit the policies of the Democratic party while questioning who is authentically Christian.

Woman Wakes up After 27 Years in a Coma

A woman from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) who was seriously injured in a traffic accident in 1991 has made a seemingly miraculous recovery after emerging from a 27-year-long coma.

Munira Abdulla, who was aged 32 at the time of the accident, suffered a severe brain injury after the car she was travelling in collided with a bus on the way to pick up her son from school.

Omar Webair, who was then just four years old, was sitting in the back of the vehicle with her, but was left unscathed as his mother cradled him in her arms moments before the accident.

Ms Abdulla – who was being driven by her brother-in-law – was left seriously injured, but last year regained consciousness in a German hospital.

Woman Aggressively Going After Uber Driver Who Refused to Take Her for Abortion

One woman took to Reddit to share how she was “dumped” out of an Uber taxi after the driver figured she was on her way to an abortion clinic. . .

She said: “After a few more minutes he asked, ‘are we going to an abortion clinic?’ I was shocked; I had no idea what to say, so I just remained quiet. He then said ‘I know it’s none of my business, but…’ and proceeded to mention something about his wife being pregnant.” . . .

“There was a gas station and a closed antiques store, and around us was farmland and forest. He said ‘I’m sorry, but I can’t take you the rest of the way. I can take you back to [my city], but you won’t be able to find another Uber out here.’” . . .

The woman went on to report the driver to the police. Uber have since confirmed to her that he has been banned from working for the company.

People flooded to the woman’s aid on the Reddit thread. Porn Lawyer Accused of Embezzling Millions From Clients, Including a Mentally Ill Paraplegic

Two weeks ago, Michael Avenatti — the celebrity lawyer of porn star Stormy Daniels who once appeared on mainstream news outlets over 140 times in just 10 weeks and teased a potential Democratic presidential run for months — was slapped with a 36-count indictment for a wide range of charges, including fraud, perjury, and embezzlement. This week, some more details about the charges have come to light, and they include some jaw-dropping claims, including that Avenatti allegedly embezzled millions of settlement money that was supposed to go to the ex-wife of an NBA star. Previous reports have also revealed that Avenatti is accused of stealing millions that were supposed to go to a mentally ill paraplegic client.

On Sunday, the Los Angeles Times published a report detailing new information about some of the allegations Avenatti faces, particularly that he embezzled nearly $2 million of the $2.75 million paid by the Miami Heat’s Hassan Whiteside as part of a settlement with his ex-wife, Alexis Gardner.

Prosecutors claim that Whiteside wired the full $2.75 million to Avenatti in January 2017 with the agreement that he would pay another $250,000 in November 2020. According to the agreement, Avenatti was supposed to get about $1 million of the $3 million settlement, the rest going to Gardner. Instead, Avenatti allegedly took the entire $2.75 million up front and misled Gardner about what had been paid and when the rest was supposed to be transferred. The indictment alleges that Avenatti never even gave Gardner a copy of the settlement agreement.

The initial payment, the celebrity lawyer claimed, was only enough to cover his roughly $1 million in legal fees. Whiteside would be paying the rest of the $2 million in monthly installments over a period of 8 years, Avenatti allegedly told Gardner. . .

As egregious as this claim is, perhaps the most stunning is the allegation that Avenatti did something similar to a mentally ill paraplegic man, Geoffrey Ernest Johnson. The indictment alleges that Avenatti lied to Johnson several times, telling him that Los Angeles County had not paid a $4 million settlement up front, while using portions of the settlement to pay his personal and business expenses. Woman Brings Baby and Gun to Easter Service. Churchgoers Leap Into Action.

On Sunday, a 31-year-old female Navy veteran holding her 10-month-old son and a gun, strode into a San Diego Easter service, climbed on stage, and allegedly pronounced she was going to blow the church up. Churchgoers had a different idea, according to police: they tackled her.

The San Diego Police Department stated that they arrived at the auditorium of the Mount Everest Academy, where the services were being held, within two minutes of being alerted. They identified the woman and it is reported that she was speaking unintelligibly. Police stated that after they examined the gun, they found it was unloaded; the church’s pastor, Benjamin Wisan, stated that the woman had attended services at the church at other times prior to the incident. Police have reportedly been summoned to deal with her at the church before. . .

One post that the suspect allegedly made stated, “The one who came as Jesus was a liar!!! Another word for ‘The Comforter’ is The Advocate! Why would he say that unless he’s the Adversary??? Which means that since we’ve been worshipping him as God and believing everything he said, we’ve all be deceived. But the #greatdeception is even more than that…please read my video descriptions in this and in my other videos too!! I’m not trying to make a name for myself or anything—but this is finally the Truth!!!!!”

David Michael Miller, a military member who was one of the people reportedly subduing the suspect, told ABC 7, “After she started pointing the gun at the baby, one of the older gentlemen grabbed it from her and then me and a couple of other men tackled her. We got the baby away from her. A few minutes after that, the cops came in. She was trying to run away or something so a cop tackled her through a row of chairs.
