By Daily Wire. Cristopher “CJ” Precopia very nearly spent the rest of his life in prison after being accused of assault by his ex-girlfriend.

The woman, who despite obviously reporting a false crime has still not been named or charged, claimed Precopia broke into her house and attacked her with a box cutter, slashing an “X” into her chest. Based on her story and the cleanly sliced “X” on her chest, Precopia was arrested.

The 21-year-old Williamson County, TX, man told KVUE News he was confused when he was arrested on September 22, 2017 at the lumber yard where he worked. He couldn’t remember when he last spoke to the woman, whom he had dated years earlier in high school. . .

The accuser said the attack happened on September 20, 2017 around 7:20 p.m., but Precopia’s mother, Erin, knew her son wasn’t even in town that night. He was with his mom at a Northwest Austin, TX, hotel — about 65 miles away from where the alleged attack happened.

And Erin had proof. She had taken a selfie with her son that night and posted it to Facebook. The photo was time-stamped and geo-located, proving Precopia was nowhere near the woman the night of the alleged attack. How a Selfie Saved a Williamson County Man From 99 Years in Prison

By KVUE ABC. . .Precopia knew he didn’t do it. He knew he couldn’t have done it.

On the night of the alleged attack, he was with his mother, Erin, at a Northwest Austin hotel about 65 miles from the accuser’s home.

“I’m thinking, ‘this is awesome. By the grace of God, she said it happened on the day when I can say totally, 100 percent, where he was at,” Erin Precopia said. . .

The question still remained: Why had Precopia been arrested, and had police done a thorough investigation? There was hard evidence. It just needed to be found.

Police experts say, in most cases, investigators should try to interview a suspect before filing charges to determine if they have a possible alibi. In Precopia’s case, police reports show he returned a phone call to police and left a message before they moved to arrest him. Turns out the Caravan Is Reportedly a Bad Place for Gay and Trans People

While the migrant caravan may have largely dropped off the media radar after the election, it’s still coming, and it’s apparently a really bad place to be for gay and transgender people.

According to a recent story at BuzzFeed News, gay and transsexual migrants actually had to leave and go ahead of the caravan because of how they were treated. The report focuses on the journey a migrant named Christian had made and some of the things he experienced along the way:

“We went ahead of the main caravan because we put our lives at risk on the road,” Christian told BuzzFeed News. “My heart feels lighter now that we’re here, we’re so close.”

The gay 24-year-old from Guatemala said that someone threw a bottle at him during the caravan’s march north. When the group, which includes several transgender women, would try to hitchhike while traveling with the main caravan, drivers who were offering a lift to other members of the caravan would deny them rides or leave them stranded along desolate highways, Christian said.

In fact, things are so bad for migrants like him that BuzzFeed reports one immigration group shelled out money for his group to ride on their own separate buses, away from the rest of the caravan.

Much as with the demands for near-unrestricted immigration from the Middle East, here we have another situation where two common policy positions of those on the Left find themselves at odds.

Here’s the question: If the caravan is such a dangerous place for gay people and transsexuals, why are so many on the Left so keen to let thousands of people who may treat them this way into the country on specious (if not outright bogus) asylum claims?

Sure, the open-borders crowd would find any way they can to deflect and change the subject if any of these migrants were to get drunk, drive a car, and kill or maim an American citizen, but what happens if any of them starts throwing beer bottles at pride parades?

Will those who harbor these kinds of views actually be expected to (gasp!) assimilate? But then, since calls for immigrants to assimilate and change their ways are so often decried as xenophobic and racist these days, what’s a leftist to do?

State to Ban Abortions After Fetal Heartbeat Is Detected

Today, by a vote of 58-35, the Ohio House passed an abortion bill which the Cincinnati Enquirer says “would effectively ban abortions after the first six weeks of a woman’s pregnancy by penalizing doctors who perform abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected.” The Republican majority in the House passed the bill knowing the risks: Governor John Kasich, a Republican who vetoed the previous Heartbeat Bill that made it to his desk, could very well veto it again if it comes up before he leaves office… or the state Senate could refuse to take up the bill at all.

However, if the Senate does end up taking up the abortion legislation and it passes, the Enquirer notes, “To override a Kasich veto, the Ohio House would need 60 votes – two more than the 58 who supported the proposal Thursday.” This could be a challenge, because seven Republicans reportedly voted against the Heartbeat Bill in the House: “Reps. Marlene Anielski and Nathan Manning from Northeast Ohio; Rick Carfagna, Mike Duffey, Anne Gonzales, and Scott Ryan from Central Ohio and Steve Arndt of Port Clinton.”

House Democrats wanted to add items to it, such as “requiring comprehensive sex education in schools [and] providing access to contraception.” In addition, Democrats were hoping to make it so that abortionists who might break this law, if passed, would have no criminal penalties. Trump Admin Meets With Pro-Life Groups to Review Experiments on Aborted Babies’ Remains

Trump administration health officials are meeting with national pro-life leaders in hopes of resolving concerns over the pro-life administration’s continued funding of medical research using tissue obtained from aborted babies.

In August, a notice from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) surfaced detailing a contract to the fetal tissue procurement firm Advanced Bioscience Resources, Inc. (ABR) to acquire “Tissue for Humanized Mice.” The tissue was meant to give mice a “humanized” immune system for the purpose of drug testing.

Forty-eight pro-life leaders representing LifeSiteNews, the Center for Medical Progress, Susan B. Anthony List, Priests for Life, Operation Rescue, and other groups sent a letter to Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Alex Azar on September 11 demanding the contract’s cancellation. Eighty-five U.S. House members sent a letter to FDA commissioner Scott Gottlieb, as well.

The administration terminated the contract in September and promised to review all remaining research involving fetal tissue, but concerns remained over nearly $100 million in tax dollars that continued to pay for other research using tissue and organs from aborted babies.

Last week, the administration began to arrange meetings to discuss cancelling the remaining projects, Politico reported Tuesday. Both sides of the issue will be represented, with scientists who use fetal tissue invited to defend their work and pro-life groups such as Susan B. Anthony List invited to critique it. School Punishes Male Teacher for Refusing to Watch a Naked Girl in the Boys’ Locker Room

By The Federalist. A Florida school district allowed a self-described transgender female student regular access to the boys’ locker room, with no advance warning to the boys or their parents. The first time she walked in, she caught “boys (literally) with their pants down, causing them embarrassment and concern by the fact that they had been observed changing by an obvious girl,” says a complaint letter to Pasco County School District from Liberty Counsel, a pro-bono constitutional law firm.

With a “gag order,” school administrators forbade teachers from talking about the change, and ordered a male P.E. teacher to supervise the potentially undressed girl in the Chasco Middle School locker room, the letter says. Male Gym Teacher Punished for Refusing to Oversee Transgender ‘Male’ Get Undressed

A physical education teacher in Florida was punished for refusing to oversee a biologically female middle schooler who identifies as male potentially get undressed in the boys’ locker room. The school, stunningly, allowed the female student to have access to the boys’ locker room without so much as informing the male students who would be sharing the locker room with the girl or the students’ parents.

According to a compliant letter from Liberty Counsel to Pasco County School District, the female student caught “boys (literally) with their pants down, causing them embarrassment and concern by the fact that they had been observed changing by an obvious girl,” reports The Federalist.

Teachers and administrators were barred from speaking about the transgender policy, and when a male P.E. teacher refused to supervise the boys’ locker room with the female student, he was reprimanded and told he would be transferred to a different school:

“With a ‘gag order,’ school administrators forbade teachers from talking about the change, and ordered a male P.E. teacher to supervise the potentially undressed girl in the Chasco Middle School locker room,” the letter says. When he refused to “knowingly place himself in a position to observe a minor female in the nude or otherwise in a state of undress,” administrators told him “he will be transferred to another school as discipline for ‘not doing your job in the locker room.'”

Using Transgender Arguments, Man Demands Birth Certificate Say He’s 20 Years Younger

The next phase in transgender activism is being litigated in the Netherlands. Dutch motivational speaker Emile Ratelband, 69, is demanding his birth certificate and all official records of his birth date be retroactively reduced by 20 years to reflect the age he “feels.”

His case was heard before a court in Arnhem on Monday. Ratelband told The Washington Post that at first the judge laughed at him, but then became more receptive to his arguments after he spoke about how “we are a free people.” He compared his situation directly with those of people who desire that official records say they are the opposite sex. . .

He has more than his feelings to go on, though. Ratelband maintains that his doctors have said “his body was that of a 45 year old man,” according to The Guardian.

His best argument, however, is that he is facing age discrimination. “When I’m 69, I am limited. If I’m 49, then I can buy a new house, drive a different car,” he told The Guardian. “I can take up more work. When I’m on Tinder and it says I’m 69, I don’t get an answer. When I’m 49, with the face I have, I will be in a luxurious position.”

He said he’ll be able to obtain more work as a 49-year-old, saying potential clients are “skeptical” that at his current age he can “speak the language of the youth,” according to The Washington Post. There Is No Such Thing as an Unwanted Baby

The ad begins with a cute baby with bright eyes looking right at you. Immediately after she gives you a smile as brilliant as sunshine, the first message appears: “She deserves to be loved.” Then the camera is on the smiling baby girl again and the second message follows: “She deserves to be wanted.”

The third time the camera is on the baby girl, she not only smiles at you but also raises one of her little hands, as if she is trying to reach you. When I saw the ad at this point, I wanted to reach my hand to hold her little fingers, and I wanted to hug her tightly in my arms.

Then the third message appears: “She deserves to be a choice,” accompanied by a disconcerting “#standwithPP.” At this point, I realized this is a pro-abortion ad from the Agenda Project, and I started feeling sick, as if someone just kicked me in the gut. . .

When you find yourself pregnant and not ready to become a parent, you do have a choice––it’s called adoption. I recently had a conversation with a staff member who works for one of Colorado’s largest and oldest adoption agencies. She told me that last year her agency was only able to place 15 babies in loving homes, even though there are more than 70 couples on their waiting list.

The average wait time for domestic infant adoption is between 18 months and three years. I asked why the adoption process takes so long. Plot Twist: Couple, Homeless Man Faked Story Netting $400k in Donations

By Daily Wire. The couple who raised nearly half a million dollars for a homeless man after he gave his last $20 to the woman will face criminal charges as will the homeless man for making up the entire story, officials say.

“Mark D’Amico, Kate McClure and Johnny Bobbitt will face charges including conspiracy and theft by deception,” NBC 10 reported on Wednesday.

NBC 10 reviewed a complaint that alleges the three “conspired with one another to make up a false story in order to raise more than $400,000.” . . .

The three gained national attention last year after the couple claimed that Bobbitt gave his last $20 to help McClure purchase fuel after she ran out while driving on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia.

Couple and Homeless Man in Gofundme Controversy Accused of Making up Story, Source Says

By NBC. . .The three initially earned fame in 2017. The couple claimed Bobbitt used $20 to help McClure get gas when her car ran out on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia. McClure and D’Amico then launched a GoFundMe page to supposedly raise money for Bobbitt; the page brought in over $400,000 from 14,000 contributors.

The account, at first, led to appearances for Bobbitt and McClure on national TV programs. But it then turned into a dispute over the money.

Bobbitt accused the couple of dipping into the funds and using them as a “personal piggy bank” to bankroll a lifestyle they couldn’t afford. . .

D’Amico was arrested in September in Burlington County on an unrelated $500 warrant for an October 2017 traffic stop, according to officials. At the time, he was driving on a suspended license and also had a broken tail light. He also failed to appear in court on two separate occassions, according to court records. Cyclist Biking Across U.S. to Raise Money for Childhood Cancer Dies in Accident

A man embarking on a cross-country charity trip on a recumbent bicycle to raise money for children with cancer was killed Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a car on a Mississippi highway, authorities said.

James Dobson, of Lebanon, Maine, started his Positive Vibes Tour in New Hampshire on Oct. 1 for the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock. His goal was to ride 60 miles daily, to San Diego. . .

It was his 44th day on the road when a 2016 Dodge Challenger struck Dobson, who was riding his bicycle, while he was traveling west on the U.S. 98, according to the Hattiesburg American. . .

Keith Loud, the hospital’s physician in chief, said in a statement he was moved not only by Dobson’s dedication but the courage it took to ride across the country in an effort to give back.

Down Syndrome Community Asks to Be Put on ‘Endangered Species’ List

In Iceland, people with Down Syndrome have been virtually wiped out by abortion. In Denmark, people with Down syndrome also face extinction. In the United Kingdom, 90% of parents who discover that their pre-born child has Down syndrome opt to have the baby aborted. In the US, 75% of babies diagnosed with Down syndrome are aborted. In Canada, it is also close to 90%.

All of this is despite the fact that the vast majority of people with Down syndrome report having an extremely high quality of life, exposing the empty and evil excuses of some abortive parents that abortion is “best for the baby” as the transparent lie that it is. Life expectancy has also gone up steadily: Now, people with Down syndrome generally live to about sixty years old, with some living into their seventies. Their life expectancy post-birth has skyrocketed just as their life expectancy pre-birth plummets.

That is precisely why the Canadian Down Syndrome Society (CDSS) is attempting to draw attention to the plight of people with Down syndrome via a daring new campaign, “Endangered syndrome”: They have launched a petition calling for those with Down syndrome to be placed on the “endangered” list, noting that that by the standards of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature, the Down syndrome community qualifies.

The dwindling Down syndrome community has resulted in dwindling funds for essential community services, the CDSS noted through a video highlighting people dressed as endangered animals while explaining their plight. Animal welfare groups, the CDSS observed, get 90% more funding than Down syndrome charities across North America, a fact that helped drive their controversial comparison—the video has already been viewed more than a million times.
