Group Fundraises for Texans’ Abortions – No Money for Hurricane Relief

A Texas-based non-profit has created an “Emergency Fund for Harvey Survivors,” a fundraiser focused on collecting funds for women who seek abortions in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.

The Lilith Fund “funds abortion and advocates for change through the movement for reproductive justice,” according to its mission statement. On Thursday, the group’s official Facebook page posted a graphic of Houston reading, “Join us in supporting Harvey survivors seeking an abortion but cannot afford it.” The post included a link to where users could donate money to assist displaced women obtain abortions.

Amid the devastating destruction of Hurricane Harvey, many different organizations, businesses, and individuals have raised millions of dollars to assist in aid, rescue, and relief efforts. President Donald Trump announced Thursday he would donate $1 million of his own money to the cause . . .

The Lilith Fund has chosen to focus its funding elsewhere amid emergency relief efforts.

While the organization’s social media post explained the donated funds would “assist displaced women obtain abortions,” the donation page says simply that it is an “Emergency Fund for Harvey Survivors.” There is no mention of abortions or that the donated money will be used to fund abortions. Trans Model Fired for ‘All White People Are Racist’ Quip

French cosmetics giant L‘Oreal fired its first transgender model to appear on a British advertising campaign after she described all white people as racist on Facebook.

London-based model Munroe Bergdorf announced on her Facebook page on Aug. 27 that she was to be part of the French cosmetics brand’s new advertising campaign celebrating diversity.

In an online message that later appeared on Friday to have been deleted, Bergdorf said, according to the Daily Mail newspaper: “Honestly I don’t have energy to talk about the racial violence of white people any more. Student Accidentally Receives $1 Million in Financial Aide

A university student in South Africa who discovered an erroneous deposit of $1 million in her financial aid account spent more than $60,000 of the fortune before authorities realized the mistake, school officials said.

The oversight occurred at Walter Sisulu University in Eastern Cape province when a massive over allocation of funds was accidentally loaded onto the student’s financial aid debit card.

The money, which was supposed to be a $100 stipend for food and books, was immediately available to the student, according to Intellimali, the company responsible for issuing the student cards. Four extra zeroes were added to the direct deposit. (Read more from “Student Accidentally Receives $1 Million in Financial Aide” HERE)

Woman Who Resembles Danny DeVito Is Criticizing Melania Trump’s Fashion

Today we learned a very important lesson about looking before you speak.

A Vogue magazine editor named Lynn Yaeger has been trolling Melania Trump’s fashion choices this week after FLOTUS opted to wear heels aboard Air Force One.

Many people probably took her article seriously. Many people probably read Yaeger’s trolling pieces in Vogue and think of her as a fashion expert.

And these people would be wrong about everything except the part about Yaeger being a troll. She is in fact, a living, breathing, troll.

She breathlessly fusses over Melania’s stilettos, complaining the First Lady “is heading to visit them in footwear that is a challenge to walk in on dry land.”

Women’s March: Don’t Help Caucasians Suffering From Harvey?

The Women’s March Wednesday got slammed on social media for launching a bid to recruit help for victims of Hurricane Harvey – based on their race.

The organization that has sponsored far-left political activism to oppose President Trump published a link to a “list of orgs working to keep immigrant, Black, Latinx & other communities safe after Hurricane Harvey.”

Explained Twitchy: “Unity is clearly Kryptonite for the Women’s March. We’ve watched Texans of all colors, sexes, creeds and abilities help, support and even rescue one another for the past several days, none of them concerned about the difference they may see in one another. So why in the Hell would Women’s March think this is in anyway appropriate?”

The March statement linked to a colorlines.com article that promoted former president Obama’s comment regarding Harvey that first responders and people are “helping each other out.” (Read more from “Women’s March: Don’t Help Caucasians Suffering From Harvey?” HERE)

College Campus Flyer: Veterans Should Be Banned From Four-Year Universities — One Vet’s Powerful Response

The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs apparently approved the posting of a newsletter around the campus that calls for the banning of U.S. military veterans from attending four-year colleges and universities . . .

Blogger Paul J. O’Leary, an Army and law enforcement veteran responded to the newsletter on Friday. In a lengthy post titled “An Open Letter to a UCCS Student,” he wrote, in part:

Isn’t it wonderful that we live in a country where all of us are free to express our opinions in a public forum? Where we are all free to pursue educational excellence? […]

Why do you feel it is acceptable to minimize the safety and well-being of those who attend trade schools? Are you assuming there are no LGBTQQIP2SAA students going to trade schools?

Do you feel they are somehow less deserving of a safe and flourishing educational environment than their peers in the traditional four-year universities?

Another Bakery Faces Backlash Because It Won’t Bake Cake for Gay Wedding

A bakery in Bakersfield, Calif., is facing criticism for refusing to bake a cake for a gay couple who posted about the ordeal on Facebook Saturday.

Eileen Del Rio said the bakery owner, Cathy Miller, refused to make her and her partner’s wedding cake because she doesn’t condone same sex marriages, The New York Daily News reported Monday. Del Rio did note in her post, however, that the baker offered to make up their order and send it off to another bakery for the wedding day.

“The ceremony, when you’re getting married is in the eyes of the Lord,” Miller told KGET. “That’s a celebration of a union that God has brought together and that’s a whole lot different than coming in and wanting a cookie.”

“Here at Tastries, we love everyone. My husband and I are Christians and we know that God created everyone and He created everyone equal, so it’s not that we don’t like people of certain groups of people. There is just certain things that violate my conscience,” Miller said according to Fox40. (Read more from “Another Bakery Faces Backlash Because It Won’t Bake Cake for Gay Wedding” HERE)

Students: LGBT Flag Is Like Confederate Flag

Students and parents at a high school in Alabama are calling for the removal of a classroom LGBT “rainbow pride” flag, saying it is comparable to the Confederate flag.

More than 2,400 people thus far have signed a Change.org petition calling for the flag to be taken down at Auburn High School.

“The following signers of this petition ask that the Pride Flag flown in Mrs. Yeager’s classroom be removed as we strongly feel that it creates a hostile and provocative learning environment for students not comfortable to openly supporting the LGBTQ+ community in a public school where students come from diverse political and religious backgrounds,” the petition reads.

“Furthermore, we believe it is unprofessional and distracting for a teacher to be so openly displaying their political views in an unbiased and socially neutral public setting.” (Read more from “Students: LGBT Flag Is Like Confederate Flag” HERE)

Abortionist Who Threatened Pro-Lifer With Violence Forfeits License

An abortionist who held scissors close to a pro-life activist’s throat while saying he loves tearing apart babies will surrender his medical license at the end of the year.

In 2016, a video of Dr. Robert Santella snarling at a pro-life sidewalk counselor went viral. He was holding a coffee cup and a pair of surgical scissors.

When the sidewalk counselor said Santella would “keep tearing the babies apart,” the abortionist replied, “I will … I love it. I love it!”

The California Medical Board took action against Santella for his “unprofessional” conduct in the video and wrongly prescribing controlled substances. The Board labelled his conduct “outrageous” and said he exhibited “physically threatening gestures.” (Read more from “Abortionist Who Threatened Pro-Lifer With Violence Forfeits License” HERE)

School Disciplines First-Grader for ‘Misgendering’ a Gender-Confused Classmate

The Sacramento-area charter school already rocked by parental backlash over a five-year-old boy transitioning to a girl in kindergarten class last June has now sent a first grade student to the principal’s office for “misgendering” the boy.

The first grade student at Rocklin Academy Gateway inadvertently called the trans “girl” by his boy’s name on the playground earlier this week, Karen England, executive director of the Capitol Research Institute, told LifeSiteNews.

The first grader “knows the student’s name from last year, and innocently on the playground called him by his name, and was told she needed to refer to him as a ‘she’ and needed to refer to him by his new name, which the student said OK,” England said.

“But then later the student was later called into the principal’s office so that the incident could be investigated to see if it was intentional or not, as if six-year-old kids are even thinking about this.”

The parent met with the principal on Wednesday, England said, and the school reiterated to the parent that their child needs to refer to this biological boy as a girl with the girl’s name. (Read more from “School Disciplines First-Grader for ‘Misgendering’ a Gender-Confused Classmate” HERE)
