Cox, who has two other children, was more than 20 weeks pregnant with a baby who had a condition called trisomy 18, which involves having an extra chromosome 18 and can cause abnormalities like heart defects.

About 95% of trisomy 18 pregnancies result in a miscarriage. However, some babies do survive past birth and can live into their toddler years, teen years, or even longer. Majority of Democrats Support Aborting Babies With Down Syndrome

According to a poll conducted by Knights of Columbus-Marist, 58 percent of overall respondents express disagreement with aborting babies due to a Down syndrome diagnosis, while 39 percent support the practice. Notably, Republicans (75 percent) and independents (58 percent) overwhelmingly oppose such abortions, creating a stark contrast with their Democratic counterparts.

Surprisingly, within the Republican and independent camps, there is a notable fraction—24 percent of Republicans and 39 percent of independents—who believe that babies with Down syndrome should be aborted rather than being born.

The survey, conducted with 1,371 adults between January 8-9, 2024, carries a statistical significance within ±3.6 percentage points. Beyond the specific issue of Down syndrome, the poll also indicates strong support among Americans for abortion limits and pregnancy resource centers.

The company, owned by Australian “body positive influencer” Karina Irby, posted on its Instagram account a video of male model Jake Young wearing a very revealing “SUGAR SLINKY” one-piece, the New York Post reported. The brand markets itself as “swimwear designed for every BODY!”

Social media users commented on the post and said they were done being customers after seeing the ad.

In a statement to Fox News, Rick confirmed the cause of Adam’s death and expressed concern about the escalating fentanyl crisis in the country, attributing it to challenges at the border.

“Yes, I can confirm Adam died from a fentanyl overdose,” Rick stated. “The fentanyl crisis in this country must be taken more seriously. It seems it is just flowing over the borders, and nothing is being done about it. We must do better.”

Although Adam never appeared on “Pawn Stars,” he had worked at the Gold & Silver Pawn, the shop featured in the show, before it gained widespread fame in 2009.

22-Year-Old Undergoes Double Lung Transplant After Heavy Vaping

In a harrowing turn of events, a 22-year-old man from Fargo, North Dakota, recently underwent a double lung transplant on January 1, 2024, following years of heavy vaping. Jackson Allard’s journey serves as a stark reminder of the severe health risks associated with the use of e-cigarettes, particularly among young adults.

According to Valley News Live, Allard had been hospitalized in critical condition since October 18, 2023, when he initially sought medical attention for stomach pain. The situation took a dire turn as doctors discovered low oxygen levels, leading to a diagnosis of influenza and double pneumonia. Despite initial interventions, Allard’s condition deteriorated, and he was placed on life support in November 2023.

Allard’s grandmother, Doreen Hurlburt, revealed the grim prognosis that doctors had initially given. “At one point, a doctor said he had a one percent chance of living, and we said, ‘He’s fighting, he’s fought for how many weeks. We’re going to give him a chance to fight, we’re not going to stop any procedures or anything,'” Hurlburt shared with the outlet.

The young man’s addiction to vaping played a significant role in his deteriorating health. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) warns that e-cigarettes, with their nicotine content, pose significant risks to the developing brains of kids, teens, and young adults. Allard’s heavy vaping habit led to irreversible damage, prompting doctors to consider the drastic measure of a double lung transplant.

“You have to stop vaping, and we kept telling him that over and over and over again, and he was a heavy vaper. He vaped all the time, but he said, ‘It’s better than cigarettes.’ Well, they said, ‘With cigarettes, in 50 years you’ll have lung cancer; in five years, if you vape, they will see you with permanent lung damage,'” lamented Doreen.

Allard’s story serves as a cautionary tale, with his grandmother expressing concern that his life “will be totally different” due to the irreversible damage caused by vaping. Despite the challenging recovery ahead, Allard hopes to prevent others from going through a similar ordeal. “He said he just wants to make sure other people don’t do what he did: vape and end up having to go through what he went through,” shared Doreen.

A Philadelphia couple was evicted after a TikTok video of them living in a storage unit went viral, the Atlanta Black Star reported Saturday.

The video Leland Desmond Brown Jr., 28, posted on TikTok explaining why he was living in a storage unit rather than an apartment got tens of millions of views, the outlet reported. Brown said he and his girlfriend planned on saving money for an RV and, eventually, a home, according to the newspaper.

After the video went viral, however, the storage unit’s management sent Brown an eviction notice which cited a violation of the terms of the facility’s contract, according to the outlet. The couple was given until the end of January to vacate the premises, the outlet reported.

“So we got kicked out of our storage unit,” Brown said in a new post. “The higher-ups found out about my video and went so viral we ended up getting kicked out. Ying Liu, the founder of Kyte Baby, has taken to TikTok to respond to the criticism after employee Marissa Hughes was canned after being denied her work-from-home request to care for her newborn in the neonatal intensive care unit of a hospital nine hours away. . .

Hughes and husband Rawley, of Dallas, adopted their baby Judah Al Haven Hughes in late December after getting a call from their adoption agency.

Judah was located nine hours away in El Paso, Texas, where he was born prematurely at 22 weeks and barely weighed a pound, the new family revealed in a GoFundMe.

3 Dead After Plane Crash

A small plane crash claimed the lives of three individuals Sunday in Massachusetts, CBS News reported.

The accident occurred around noon near Country Club Road in Greenfield, a region known for its dense woodlands in the county. The aircraft involved was a twin-engine Beechcraft Baron 55, as confirmed by a spokesperson from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), according to CBS News. Massachusetts State Police were among the first responders at the scene and confirmed the death of all three passengers aboard the flight.

“We are confirming that there was a fatal twin engine plane crash near the Greenfield/Leyden town line near Oak Hill Acres Rd. There were no survivors,” Greenfield Massachusetts Police Department said in a statement. “Rescue crews and investigators are on scene. Please do not try to view the scene as you will be turned away.”
