Jordan Brown, an openly gay pastor at Austin’s Church of Open Doors, posted a video last week claiming that the cake he bought at Whole Foods was decorated with the words “Love Wins F–” . . .

The video went viral online and he filed a lawsuit alleging intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Updated Whole Foods Market Response

By Whole Foods Market. After a deeper investigation of Mr. Brown’s claim, we believe his accusations are fraudulent and we intend to take legal action against both Mr. Brown and his attorney. Here’s what we know:

Our bakery team member wrote “Love Wins” at the top of the cake, which was visible to Mr. Brown through the clear portion of the packaging. That’s exactly how the cake was packaged and sold at the store. Whole Foods Market has a strict policy that prohibits team members from accepting or designing bakery orders that include language or images that are offensive.

Mr. Brown admits that he was in sole possession and control of the cake until he posted his video, which showed the UPC label on the bottom and side of the box.

After reviewing our security footage of Mr. Brown, it’s clear that the UPC label was in fact on top of the cake box, not on the side of the package. This is evident as the cashier scans the UPC code on top of the box, which you can view here.

We stand behind our bakery team member, who is part of the LGBTQ community, and we appreciate the team members and shoppers who recognize that this claim is completely false and directly contradicts Whole Foods Market’s inclusive culture, which celebrates diversity.

The ‘Chilling’ Reason This Doctor Says Georgia Fired Him

doctor-1228627_960_720A public health official, who says he was fired by Georgia’s health agency for the content of his sermons, filed a lawsuit today against the state claiming religious discrimination.

Dr. Eric Walsh accepted a position as the Georgia Department of Public Health’s director for the northwest part of the state in May 2014. A week later, state officials requested copies of sermons he had preached as a lay minister for the Seventh Day Adventist Church, according to First Liberty Institute, a legal organization that defends the religious freedom of Americans.

“Dr. Walsh was terminated because of something he said in a sermon,” Jeremy Dys, senior counsel for First Liberty Institute, told The Daily Signal. “No one should be fired for something they say in their sermon.”

First Liberty Institute and the law firm of Parks, Chesin & Walbert filed the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. They sued the Georgia Department of Public Health on behalf of Walsh.

“Bureaucrats cannot deny qualified people of faith government jobs simply because they express their beliefs, especially in a house of worship,” Roger Severino, director of The Heritage Foundation’s DeVos Center for Religion and Civil Society, told The Daily Signal. “If the First Amendment means anything, it’s that government bureaucrats have no business acting as sermon review boards. That would be religious discrimination, pure and simple.”

The lawsuit charges the state with religious discrimination as well as retaliation against Walsh.

“I couldn’t believe they fired me because of things I talked about in my sermons,” Walsh said in a statement released by First Liberty. “It was devastating. I have been unable to get a job in public health since then.”

The Los Angeles Times reported in May 2014 that Georgia health officials retracted a job offer to Walsh, “who had come under fire for controversial remarks he made on homosexuality and evolution.”

“In recorded sermons online, [Walsh] said homosexuality is a sin and evolution is a ‘religion created by Satan,’” The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported in September 2014 after Walsh filed a complaint with the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Atlanta.

Government officials terminated Walsh the day after he provided his sermons to the state.

“Public servants shouldn’t lose their jobs because of sermons that they preach off the clock, on their personal time,” Ryan T. Anderson, the William E. Simon senior research fellow at The Heritage Foundation, told The Daily Signal.

Anderson, author of “Truth Overruled: The Future of Marriage and Religious Freedom,” added: “Government employees don’t give up their religious freedom as a condition of their employment.”

In an email to The Daily Signal, Department of Public Health spokesman Nancy Nydam wrote:

During the background check process, DPH learned Dr. Walsh failed to disclose outside employment to his previous public health employer, which also was in violation of California law. Due to violation of both California state law and DPH policy, the offer to Dr. Walsh was rescinded. During his interview, Dr. Walsh disclosed his religious beliefs to DPH staff and indicated that he preached at his church in California. Dr. Walsh’s religious beliefs had nothing to do with the decision to withdraw the offer.

Sermon topics preached by Walsh included “following God, having compassion on the poor, health, marriage, sexuality, world religions, science, creationism, and more,” according to First Liberty. Dys, the group’s senior counsel, said:

If it can happen to Dr. Walsh and he can be terminated because of something he said in his sermon, then nothing is safe for any American who is a religious adherent of any kind. How would the regular person like it if at their annual review, the notes they take in Sunday school class were to come up and they would be evaluated not because of the work that they performed at the job, but because of something they said in Sunday school class to the 6-year-old Sunday school class?

“No one should be fired in America simply because they are a person of faith,” he added.

Walsh, a former director of public health in Pasadena, Calif. who has a medical degree and doctorate in public health, was appointed by President Barack Obama to his Presidential Advisory Committee on HIV/AIDS.

“In America, it is against the law to fire an employee for expressing his religious beliefs – especially when that expression takes place in a church setting,” Andrew Coffman, partner in the law firm of Parks, Chesin & Walbert and a volunteer lawyer for First Liberty, said in a statement.

In a redacted email from the State of Georgia, officials discuss how they will review the sermons.

Lee Rudd, director of human resources with Georgia’s Public Health Department, wrote in an email on May 14, 2014:

“OK … I have an assignment for several of us. We have to listen to his sermons on You Tube tonight. If we take a couple of hours each, then we should cover our bases.”

Dys told The Daily Signal that the state of Georgia “spent upwards of 10 hours dividing up sermons and reviewing them on state dollars, on state computers.” He said:

I think when we have a state dividing up sermons like that and nitpicking through line by line what a lay pastor has said in a sermon and then terminating him because of that, I think every American should be chilled to the core at that type of thing.

In a voicemail left for Walsh, the speaker says:

“Dr. Walsh, this is Dr. Patrick O’Neil and Mrs. Kate Phirman, our CFO here at the Department of Public Health in Georgia. Sorry that we have not been able to reach you by phone. We will be sending you a letter, so be on the lookout for that.”

Boycott Target: Michelle Obama’s Favorite Store Invites Men to Use Women’s Bathrooms, Changing Rooms

1024px-Target_store-Springfield-2005-10-15The Target department store chain has jumped into the transgender bathroom debate by declaring that men who claim to be women may use whatever bathroom or changing room they choose.

“Inclusivity is a core belief at Target,” a new company statement reads. “It’s something we celebrate. We stand for equality and equity, and strive to make our guests and team members feel accepted, respected and welcomed in our stores and workplaces every day.”

The retailer added, “We welcome transgender team members and guests to use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity” . . .

Customers and potential customers almost immediately spoke out against Target’s decision to ignore the biological difference between men and women.

“Why would you choose to allow men in the women’s restroom when every single store has a single family restroom that can easily accommodate your Transgender customers,” Sandy Bell Small wrote on Facebook. “Way to go Target for choosing to protect the .03% of the ADULT transgender population over your women, children, mothers, grandchildren, teenager population. Mother of Son Murdered by an Illegal Breaks Down in Tears Before Congress, Begging for Immigration Enforcement

4103771959_593986f3bf_zThe mother of a teenage son who was tortured and murdered by an illegal immigrant broke down in tears Tuesday before a House panel, begging for the government to enforce immigration law.

Laura Wilkerson, the mother of Josh Wilkerson, described in vivid detail the manner in which Hermilo Vildo Moralez, an illegal immigrant, beat, tortured, and eventually killed her son Josh then went to a movie.

In emotional testimony before the House Immigration and Border Subcommittee, Wilkerson expressed frustration that the problem of illegal immigration has not been fixed since the last time she testified before Congress in July 2015.

“Nothing has been done about it. We can have hearing after hearing, after hearing, after hearing until there is action we’re just talking,” Wilkerson said.

Report: Planned Parenthood Organ Sales Are ‘Pure Profit’

maxresdefault (95)Planned Parenthood abortion clinics profit from the sale of aborted baby organs, according to new documents released by a congressional committee investigating the organization’s practices.

The U.S. House Select Panel on Infant Lives released a preview of its findings after a months-long review of internal documents obtained from the nation’s top abortionist, as well as organ procurement companies and buyers. The panel concluded that abortion clinics incur no additional costs in harvesting organs obtained from an already-aborted baby and that the sale or transfer of those organs represented “pure profit” for the clinic.

“The [abortion clinic] has no costs so the payments from the [procurement business] to the [abortion clinic] are pure profit,” the report concludes. “All costs are born by the [procurement business] or the customer. The payments from the customer to the PB exceed its cost by a factor of 300 to 400 percent.”

Pro-life activists said those practices run counter to federal law, which bars clinics from profiting off of the sale of baby body parts.

“The abortion industry sells baby hearts, livers, brains, hands and other organs procured by a middleman company inside their facilities at no cost or effort to the facilities themselves. The facility receives upfront fees that can amount to five-figure sums every month and then the procurement companies resell organs for tens of thousands more—depending on the child’s characteristics,” Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Muslim Extremist Says He Murdered Shopkeeper for ‘Disgracing Muhammad’ by Wishing Christians Happy Easter

14789402561_ea534a8dc8_bA Muslim man who killed a Muslim shop owner after the latter posted a message on Facebook professing love for Christians and and wishing them a happy Easter has defended his actions, saying the victim “disgraced” the prophet Muhammad.

As earlier reported by The Gospel Herald, 40-year-old Asad Shah, an Ahmadi Muslim, was stabbed to death outside of his store in Glasgow, Scotland just days before Easter.

Shortly before his murder, Shah, who was known as a devout, Pakistani-born Muslim, had posted a message on Facebook reading, “Good Friday and a very Happy Easter, especially to my beloved Christian nation. Let’s follow the real footstep of beloved holy Jesus Christ … and get the real success in both worlds.”

Tanveer Ahmed, a 32-year-old taxi driver from Bradford, West Yorkshire, was arrested and charged with the murder. One eyewitness told a British news outlet that the victim’s head was stomped on during the attack while the Daily Mail reported that he was stabbed in the head with a kitchen knife . . .

According to The Daily Record, after appearing at a second court hearing, Ahmed instructed his lawyer to read a public statement outside the court declaring that he killed Asad in order to protect the honor of Islam after Shah “disrespected” the prophet Muhammad. Huma Abedin CONFIRMS Her Muslim Brotherhood MOM Proud of Her During Podcast

1024px-Hillary_Clinton_and_Huma_AbedinIn an embarrassingly sycophantic interview, Hillary Clinton’s closest adviser Huma Abedin again shored up her bonafides as a covert Muslim Brotherhood agent when she flippantly revealed how proud her mother is of her. The revealing moment came right out of the gate as the obscure, valley girl-sounding co-hosts gushed to Huma over landing the interview. Huma responded by saying she thought her mother was the only person who considered her “a big deal”.

The reason Huma’s thought of as a “big deal” by her mother is indeed a big deal. For starters, Huma’s mother Saleha Mahmoud Abedin was identified in 2011 as one of 63 leaders inside the Muslim Sisterhood. Hatred of the Jews is necessarily a prerequisite for attaining such a position. In fact, one of Saleha’s colleagues as a Sisterhood leader is none other than Naglaa Mahmoud, the wife and then “first lady” of Egypt’s short-lived Muslim Brotherhood president Mohammed Mursi. In 2010, Mursi openly stated that Muslims should nurse their children and grandchildren on hatred of the Jews . . .

Here is the big deal. Huma is married to a Jewish man named Anthony Weiner, who was a U.S. Congressman at the time. As such, he is considered an ape or a pig by the Muslim Brotherhood. This would have not only precluded Huma from marrying him but it should have completely disgraced her and her family; it did not. Instead, she was elevated to a place of honor. There is only one reason for such an elevation; she is a spy.

It is doctrinal within the Muslim Brotherhood that hatred of the Jews is a requirement; it’s a tenet of the faith. While it’s ok for a Muslim man to marry a Jewish woman – for the purpose of conversion and bearing Muslim children – it’s beyond sacrilege for a Muslim woman to marry a Jewish man.

Yet, Huma is still held in high regard by her mother. Why? According to the Muslim Brotherhood’s interpretation of Sharia law, Huma is guilty of among the most egregious of sins, not worthy of honorary status. Such a marriage is said to bring dishonor to the entire family in fundamentalist Islam. Yet, Saleha continues to hold a position of high prestige at a University in Saudi Arabia. In fact, in 2015, Huma traveled there to be present as her mother was “honored” by the University for her service. Donald Trump Just Revealed His Favorite Bible Verse – Many Christians Left SPEECHLESS

16678805005_028e7f98d3_b (1)In the latest example of Donald Trump making a controversial faith-based statement on the campaign trail, the unconventional Republican presidential front-runner recently offered his pick as the Bible’s most memorable lesson.

WHAM’s Bob Lonsberry asked the brash billionaire if he has “a favorite Bible verse or Bible story” responsible for shaping his character.

“Well, I think many,” Trump began. “I mean, when we get into the Bible, I think many, so many.”

When he started to mention specifics, many Christians in the audience were taken aback.

“Some people, look, an eye for an eye, you can almost say that,” Trump said. “That’s not a particularly nice thing.”

Several of Trump’s detractors expressed their concern with the self-described “strong Christian” selecting the harsh Old Testament teaching as the one he wanted to highlight in the interview. Thousands of Teachers Flock to ‘White Privilege Conference’

teaching-311356_960_720Thursday marked the start of “The 17th Annual White Privilege Conference” and this year’s theme is “Let Freedom Ring, Re-Imagining Equality & Social Justice in the United States.”

The annual event is aimed at promoting the theory of White Privilege – that American society is hopelessly stacked against minorities and the only way to fix the system is for white people to acknowledge their immense “privilege” and repent.

“Our vision is to build a community committed to dismantling white privilege, white supremacy and oppression, every day, everywhere,” wrote Eddie Moore Jr., founder and president of “The Privilege Institute,” which organizes the event.

“WPC fosters an environment where every participant can engage deeply, and then through our Accountability program, bring what they have learned back to their own community so that their WPC experience impacts their lives, employment, and community all year long.”

Feminists Need to Know — Islam Kills Women

niqab-154968_960_720I used to be a feminist, but I gave it up so I could speak out for women’s rights. Even before the “intersectional”, “how many genders are there?” lunacy took over, feminism was filled to bursting with types who think men are misogynists who all secretly want to rape us (this despite the fact that men are among the greatest supporters of women’s rights) and a happily married mother is some kind of traitor.

The kind of people, in other words, who nobody in their right mind could possibly get along with.

While I will always speak out for women to maintain our just civil rights, I do want Sharia Watch to spend significantly more time on freedom of speech (we will run an autumn campaign ‘Islam Kills Free Speech’) and the impact of Islam on children, but before I do, I intend to spend the summer doing something very important – informing the ludicrous feminists of today of something they desperately need to know: Islam Kills Women.

Islam Kills Women is a joint effort between Sharia Watch UK and Examine-Islam.org It aims to do one thing and one thing only, show the world just why it is that women are treated so utterly appallingly in every Muslim society on earth.

As well as producing articles from various writers and information packs and videos, I will challenge every feminist organisation in Britain to debate me, so that they can attempt to prove me wrong. When they realise that they cannot do this, I invite them to stand alongside me at the culmination of this campaign – a protest rally to be held outside Parliament on August 20th.
