Ben Carson Just Called on Every Christian in America to Do THIS, and It Shouldn’t Be Ignored

Dr. Ben Carson told an audience of thousands at the Faith and Freedom Coalition Presidential Forum on Saturday that inviting God back into America is part of his prescription for what ails the nation. He encouraged the evangelical crowd that they have an important role to play in bringing about a renaissance of faith and liberty in the culture.

“It is time to bring God back into our country,” Carson stated. “Our faith gives us our freedom.”

The former neurosurgeon used his own life as an illustration of God’s ability to transform the individual, who can then turn around and spread the good news and help change the culture. Breitbart reports that Carson spoke about the anger issues that he had as a teenager. “At one point, he described a fight he got into with another man where he actually stabbed the man with a knife because of his rage. Fortunately, the man was wearing a large metal belt buckle that broke the blade. The man safely fled, but Carson was shocked at what happened because of his temper,” according to the news outlet.

[Listen to this activist’s overview of the forum in Texas and who came out on top:]

Immediately following the incident, he locked himself away and prayed and read Bible verses on anger for two hours. What came out of that time was a recognition that his violent outbursts (which had happened on previous occasions as well) were not his strength, but his weakness. He told the Faith and Freedom audience that he has never had an outburst of anger since that time with the Almighty. “God doesn’t just do a paint job, he fixes things,” Carson said. Football Coach Refuses to Lose Religion, but Will He Lose His Job?

The Washington state football coach defied the Bremerton School District on Oct. 16 by dropping to a knee and praying at midfield after the Friday night football game.

“I’m going to be bold in my faith, and fight the good fight,” he told the Kitsap Sun. “It’s beyond humbling to have so much support. Whatever happens — happens.”

The Bremerton School District issued a stern letter to the coach just hours before the football game – warning him not to pray . . .

“I appreciate Coach Kennedy staying true to his convictions,” [famed NFL coach Tony] Dungy wrote on Twitter.

“Glad I never faced anything like this in my career.” So the question is what happens now? Will Coach Kennedy be reprimanded? Will he be fired? (Read more from “Football Coach Refuses to Lose Religion, but Will He Lose His Job?” HERE)

Is the Malaria Parasite the Cancer Cure We’ve Been Looking For? Accidental Discovery Displays Remarkable Results

As far as accidents go, stumbling upon a potential cure for cancer is one we can all probably forgive. According to a recent study, a group of Danish scientists might have done just that by discovering that a potential malaria vaccine had the unexpected side effect of killing tumors.

Malaria is bloodborne disease caused by the Plasmodium parasite. It is spread through humans by mosquito bites and, according to UNICEF, kills up to a million people each year. Malaria is especially dangerous for pregnant women as the parasite may attack the placenta, which then puts the child’s life at risk. In their ongoing efforts to prevent these specific infections, scientists from the University of Denmark made a remarkable observation: Due to the similar characteristics between tumors and placentas, the same technique malaria uses to attack and destroy placentas could also be used to destroy cancer tumors.

“The placenta is an organ, which within a few months grows from only few cells into an organ weighing approximately 2 pounds, and it provides the embryo with oxygen and nourishment in a relatively foreign environment,” study author Ali Salanti said in a statement. “In a manner of speaking, tumors do much the same — they grow aggressively in a relatively foreign environment.” (Read more from “Is the Malaria Parasite the Cancer Cure We’ve Been Looking For? Michigan Third Grader Writes Letter to Bully Who Picked on Friend and Spit on Him

A Michigan third grader chose to use words over violence after standing up for a friend of his who was being bullied.

Nicolas Neesley, 8, was on the playground of Jennings Elementary School in Quincy when his friend was getting pushed around by a fifth grader, his mom Shamayne Neesley told ABC News today. Nicolas got involved and asked the boys “if the fight was necessary” before being “spit at” and “called a name” . . .

“He came home and told his father and I what happened and asked if he should be friends with the kid,” Shamayne Neesley said. “It was bugging Nic that the kid did not want to be friends with him.”

She told Nicolas to give it some time before trying to befriend the older kid, so he waited until Oct. 5, anti-bullying day at school, when the fifth grader wore black instead of the suggested color blue that supports anti-bullying.

Nicolas decided to write the letter that night to encourage a friendship, his mother said.

Bad Timing? Texas ‘Clock’-Maker’s Visit With Wanted Sudanese Leader Complicates WH Invite

Ahmed Mohamed, the 14-year old boy arrested after a homemade clock he brought to school was mistaken for a bomb, may be putting President Obama in an awkward situation after meeting with Sudanese president and alleged war criminal Omar al-Bashir just days before a White House event to which he was invited.

Despite the controversy, the White House has not yet announced any change of plans for the invitation or the event – an Astronomy Night scheduled for Monday that brings together NASA astronauts and government scientists with students and teachers . . .

The White House first reached out to Mohamed after he gained national attention for being pulled from class and handcuffed after showing a digital clock to teachers at his Dallas high school. The arrest stirred accusations of Islamaphobia, and Obama offered his support.

But as the boy has gone on a tour across the globe to speak out against racism — meeting with Turkish President Ahmet Davutoğlu in New York, and visiting a number of Middle Eastern countries such as Qatar and Saudi Arabia — the visit to his father’s home country of Sudan is raising eyebrows . . .

The Sudanese leader is wanted by the International Criminal Court for war crimes in Darfur, where he is accused of orchestrating genocide and crimes against humanity. Al-Bashir denies the accusations. (Read more from “Bad Timing? Texas ‘Clock’-Maker’s Visit With Wanted Sudanese Leader Complicates WH Invite” HERE)

75-Year-Old Vet Saves 16 Children From Knife Attack

Sixteen children and a handful of their mothers found the only door to their library room blocked by a man who held hunting knives in each hand as he screamed, “I’m going to kill some people!”

Dustin Brown, 19, specifically wanted to kill children Tuesday at Morton Public Library, he said after the would-be victims escaped safely.

Had he brought a firearm instead, “It would’ve been a different story,” James Vernon said Thursday . . .

Blood was shed, but mostly Vernon’s, because the retired chess club teacher kept his cool, gave his class an avenue of flight and remembered the knife-fight training the Army gave him five decades ago.

Vernon, 75, won his “90 seconds of combat” with Brown, “but I felt like I lost the war,” he chuckled. He cut two arteries and a tendon on Vernon’s left hand as Vernon blocked Brown’s knife swipe. (Read more from “75-Year-Old Vet Saves 16 Children From Knife Attack” HERE)

Grisly Find in Abortionist’s Car Leads to Search of Office, Home

Police in Michigan raided the home and office of an allegedly rogue abortion doctor Tuesday night, following the discovery of what appeared to be a dozen containers of aborted fetus parts and a powerful anesthetic in the trunk of his car.

The grisly discoveries were made after Dr. Michael Roth, an OB/GYN who has been repeatedly sued by patients and sanctioned by health authorities, asked police to retrieve items from his car, which was impounded after Roth allegedly struck a 32-year-old disabled man in West Bloomfield two weeks ago. Roth has not yet been charged in connection with the accident or the aborted remains allegedly found in his car, though local, state and federal authorities are investigating, according to the Detroit Free Press.

“We do have an opinion from the medical examiner’s office that this is remnants of conception, but there was nothing that was seen within the containers that were recognizable,” West Bloomfield Deputy Chief Curt Lawson told the Detroit Free Press.

The state Attorney General’s Office suspects Roth may be performing illegal abortions, according to Fox2, which cited sources.

Roth is listed as the primary doctor at the Novi Laser & Aesthetic Center in Novi, Mich., about 30 miles northwest of Detroit. The clinic’s website says that “with over 30 years of experience, Dr. Roth strives to provide the best possible care for his patients.” Calls placed to the Novi clinic went straight to voicemail, and a listing for Roth’s home number was disconnected. Common Core-Aligned Writing Lesson on Gun Debate Fuels Claims of Political Agenda

Common Core backers are sneaking a social and political agenda into nationalized curriculum, say critics, who now have new ammo in a writing lesson plan for teachers that they say gives a slanted perspective of the gun debate.

A study guide dubbed, “The Battle Over Gun Control,” authored by KQED, a northern Californian affiliate of National Public Radio, and the nonprofit, taxpayer-subsidized National Writing Project, states that “moderate gun control” measures introduced following the Sandy Hook school massacre were deep-sixed by the “powerful political influence” of the NRA. Second Amendment advocates say the wording, in supplemental material designed to help teachers plan instruction, frames the debate in a one-sided fashion aimed at influencing young minds.

“The issue took center stage in December, when a lone gunman entered an elementary school in Newtown, Conn., killing 20 children and six adults in one of the deadliest mass shootings in U.S. history,” reads an intro from the guide. “Yet, months down the line, the issue remains highly controversial: An attempt to enact moderate new gun control measures this spring was voted down in the Senate, due in part to the powerful political influence of gun rights groups like the National Rifle Association.”

Concerned parents and longtime critics of Common Core say that this is just another example of flaws associated with the federally-imposed standards. While Common Core itself is not technically a curriculum, it drives classroom lessons by imposing a standard, nationalized test. Both private and nonprofit curriculum providers tout their material for its alignment with the standards tested in the Common Core examinations.

“This guide shows that the common core philosophy of education is coming to all schools.” Alice Linahan, founder of Voices Empower, a grassroots organization that opposes Common Core, told FoxNews.com. “It’s a shift from teaching fact to teaching attitudes, belief and behavior.” (Read more from “Common Core-Aligned Writing Lesson on Gun Debate Fuels Claims of Political Agenda” HERE)

Meet the Millennial Who Infiltrated the Guarded World of Abortion Providers

The slim young man with the Clark Kent glasses mingled easily at the conference of abortion providers. By day, he sat quietly in his company’s booth, under a sign festooned with a burbling lab flask. By night, he schmoozed with presenters at the swanky hotel bar . . .

Daleiden, 26, is the antiabortion activist who masterminded the recent undercover campaign aimed at proving that Planned Parenthood illegally sells what he calls aborted “baby body parts.” He captured intimate details of the famously guarded organization, hobnobbing at conferences so secretive that they require background checks and talking his way into a back laboratory at a Colorado clinic where he picked through the remains of aborted fetuses and displayed them luridly for the camera.

Daleiden’s videos landed like a bomb in Washington this summer, providing fodder for a crowded field of Republican presidential contenders and energizing social conservatives on Capitol Hill. They also shed harsh new light on the venerable women’s health organization, capturing officials sipping wine while joking about abortion and appearing to haggle over the price of fetal tissue . . .

Before emerging as the biggest star in the antiabortion firmament, Daleiden had long been a bit player. A Catholic and Southern California native who drives a Honda hybrid, Daleiden calls himself an investigative journalist and credits his California public school education with fomenting in him a passion for human rights . . .

At 15, he said, he Googled images of aborted fetuses — an exploration that cemented his antiabortion views. While studying at Claremont McKenna College, he began fixating on Planned Parenthood. He got a job with Live Action, an antiabortion nonprofit group led by a fellow millennial that made its name by mounting undercover “stings” against Planned Parenthood. In 2009, Daleiden was kicked off the neighboring Pomona College campus after aggressively questioning a Planned Parenthood official who had been invited to speak. Obama Admin. Sues High School for Refusing to Do This for Transgender Teen

The Obama administration is suing yet another school district for refusing to allow a biological teenage male to use the girls’ locker room, restroom, and shower facilities.

Yesterday, the federal government found a the school in violation of a new interpretation of Title IX, a 1972 law designed to prevent sex discrimination . . .

A male student who identifies as female sued Township High School District 211 in 2014 for access to the female locker room . . .

“At some point, we have to balance the privacy rights of 12,000 students with other particular, individual needs of another group of students,” said District 211 Superintendent Daniel Cates. “We believe this infringes on the privacy of all the students that we serve.”

This wasn’t good enough for the ACLU, however, which represented the male student in a complaint filed with the U.S. Department of Education (DoE)’s Office for Civil Rights. (Read more from “Obama Admin. Sues High School for Refusing to Do This for Transgender Teen” HERE)
