Premature Baby Survives Being Buried Alive After Parents Thought She Was Stillborn

yeluIn China, a newborn girl miraculously survived being buried alive after her parents thought she was stillborn. Lu Xiaoyun was having severe stomach pains at home when she called her husband, Mr. Ye, to tell him something was wrong.

He rushed home to find his wife in pool of blood waiting for assistance. Tragically, once the ambulance arrived Mr. Ye mistakenly thought his daughter was dead and told emergency workers there was no point in taking their baby in to be examined. However, the couple did go to the hospital so that Ms. Lu could be checked out.

Upon arrival, doctors questioned the couple and encouraged them to have their baby properly examined to make sure she was dead. But while they were at the hospital, Ms. Lu’s mother buried the baby under a tree in their yard.

The couple was shocked but rushed into the yard to dig up their baby. Amazingly, they discovered she was still breathing and immediately left their farm and went to the hospital.

HHS Faces Fallout From Controversial Study That Put Babies at Risk

A federal agency has taken controversial new steps to marginalize its own ethics body, according to new information revealed by the watchdog group Public Citizen. That after the federal ethics body criticized a government study that resulted in the deaths of some premature babies.

The government-backed study in question was called “SUPPORT.” It was conducted from 2006 to 2009 on 1,316 extremely premature infants at 23 academic institutions under the National Institutes of Health, which is part of the Department of Health and Human Services.

Controversy surfaced in March 2013 when the government’s own ethics body, the Office of Human Research Protections, dropped a bombshell.

The ethics office found the federal study’s consent forms violated government rules designed to protect human research subjects. According to OHRP, the consent forms “failed to describe the reasonably foreseeable risks of blindness, neurological damage and death” to babies in the study.

More than a year and a half later, the federal government has yet to take enforcement action or make changes to address the shortfalls. Instead, critics say it has pressured and marginalized the ethics office that made the critical findings.

Why Did Disney Block God?

It turns out you can give thanks for a lot of different folks on the Disney Channel website – but you can’t thank God.

I received a Facebook message on Sunday from Julie Anderson, of Angier, North Carolina, a town located about 30 miles from Raleigh. Julie was writing to tell me about her daughter, Lilly.

Lilly celebrated her 10th birthday on Sunday. After church and a delicious lunch at the Golden Corral, the Andersons headed home – and Lilly made a beeline for the computer.

Now, Lilly loves the Disney Channel – and as she was browsing the channel’s website she noticed a question. The Disney Channel wanted to know what she was thankful for. So Lilly typed in her answer.

“God, my family, my church and my friends,” the 10-year-old wrote. Lilly pressed the return key and waited for her answer to appear on the website. But her response did not appear. Instead, a message written in red popped up on the screen.

“Please be nice!” the message read.

Sebelius: Americans Don’t Like Obamacare Because their “Financial Literacy is Low”

Well, she may claim to not know who Jonathan Gruber is, but she sure did get a copy of his talking points.

Discussing Obamacare with a USA Today reporter, former Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius blamed many of the law’s problems on the fact that Americans lack her sophisticated understanding of insurance:

Still, Sebelius didn’t dispute the point that many Americans don’t fully understand how health insurance and the Affordable Care Act work, including the trade-offs involved in expanding coverage.

“A lot of Americans have no idea what insurance is about,” she said. “I think the financial literacy of a lot of people, particularly people who did not have insurance coverage or whose employers chose their coverage and kind of present it to them, is very low — and that has been a sort of stunning revelation. It’s not because people hid it from folks. It’s because this is a complicated product.”

Sebelius served as insurance commissioner for the state of Kansas before epically botching the roll-out of a federal entitlement program in historic and ostentatious fashion. So, she knows a thing or two, America.

Abortionist: We Let Babies Born Alive “Expire” (+video)

A while back, I wrote a series on abortions that resulted in the births of live babies. In the instances I wrote about, these babies were left to die or even killed by the abortionist. Also, in almost every case, the abortionist evaded any kind of punishment.

An investigation by Live Action revealed that many clinics are still willing to allow infants born after abortion to die. And a representative of Planned Parenthood gave shocking testimony where sherefused to condemn the killing of babies born alive after abortions and refused to say what Planned Parenthood doctors did in cases of live birth. Sadly, it seems that the killing of born babies, either by neglect or by direct action, goes on in abortion clinics to this day.

After Eight Years of Infertility, Mom Thanks God for Quadruplets

ashleygardnerAfter eight years of infertility, Ashley and Tyson Gardner found out they were pregnant with quadruplets. The Gardner’s are from Pleasant Grove, Utah, and an ultrasound showed that their babies were two sets of twin girls.

According to Dr. Alan Penzias, associate professor of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive biology at Harvard Medical School, the odds of having two sets of twins in one pregnancy are about 1 in 70 million.

Currently, Ashley’s twins are 25-weeks fetal age and the young mother is on bed-rest. But Ashley isn’t complaining; instead she’s counting her blessings this holiday season. She wrote in an online article on the Herald Extra more about her pregnancy.

She said, “This year being on hospital bed rest as the holidays approach is no easy task. Every day my body gets more sore and tired. But it doesn’t matter anymore. These four beautiful babies we have been blessed with are all that matters.”

Benham Brothers on Anti-Duggar Campaign: ‘Truth Is Considered Hate to Those Who Hate The Truth’

Jason and David Benham, two Christian entrepreneurs who have been targeted by gay activists for their belief in traditional marriage, are speaking out about the campaign by those same activists who are seeking the cancellation of the popular TLC television series “19 Kids and Counting,” accusing the Duggar family of “fear mongering.”

“Since when is it considered ‘fear mongering’ to say that God designed a man to be with a woman, or that kids deserve to have a mom and a dad, or that the ladies room should be for biological females?” David Benham told CNSNews.com. “Saying the Duggars are inciting people to hate is simply propaganda.”

An activist launched a Change.org petition on Aug. 20 entitled “End LGBT fear mongering by the Duggars” after matriarch Michelle Duggar spoke out against an ordinance being considered by the city council in Fayetteville, Ark., that would allow transgender people to use any public restroom. The petition said she was “spreading ignorance and hatred.”

Activists also targeted her eldest son Josh Duggar, who works for the Family Research Council, a conservative Christian advocacy organization, in the petition. Media reports have made references to the controversial Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which has labeled FRC a “hate group.”

“Truth is considered hate to those who hate the truth,” Jason Benham told CNSNews.com. “George Orwell said it even better, ‘The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those who speak it.’”

Obama Daughters Display Their Annoyance During Annual ‘Turkey Pardon’

0 (5)By Amanda Shea.

It’s tough being a teen, especially if your last name is Obama and you live in the White House and have to participate in ceremonies full of pomp and circumstance, such as “pardoning” a turkey. That’s the pain Sasha and Malia felt today as their “teen contempt” was on full display while they stood next to dear old dad who was full of Thanksgiving puns at the annual event.

The 16 and 13-year-old daughters accompanied their presidential father and could barely contain their disdain for the production. The visual clues were confirmed by Malia when Barack Obama asked his daughter if she would like to pet the pardoned turkey, “Cheese.” Malia, the oldest of the two girls, simply said, “Nah.”

Who can blame their annoyance in the course of this event when their father used it as a platform to make bad jokes about amnesty, by saying many Americans will likely compare the pardon to letting in droves of illegals into the country. “I know some will call this amnesty, but don’t worry, there’s plenty of turkey to go around,” he remarked.

Baby Born Alive After Mom Struck and Killed by Car

Authorities in Pittsburgh say a pregnant woman sitting outside a neighborhood drugstore was struck and killed when an elderly driver trying to park jumped the curb and pinned her against the wall.

Her nearly full-term baby was delivered by cesarean section and remained in critical condition Wednesday night.
The victim, 30-year-old Jodie Guthrie, had been sitting outside a Rite Aid on the city’s North Side on Wednesday afternoon when an 88-year-old motorist pulled into a parking space, authorities said.

The driver might have hit the gas instead of the brake, police said, causing his minivan to lurch out of the parking space and onto the walkway where Guthrie sat.

Witnesses tried to get the driver to back up after the accident, but he didn’t seem to understand what happened — possibly because he couldn’t see Guthrie pinned behind the car, said police Commander RaShall Brackney.
