‘Rust’ Armorer’s Attorney Suggests Sabotage May Have Led to Fatal On-Set Shooting

An attorney for the armorer on the movie set where actor Alec Baldwin fatally shot a cinematographer said Wednesday that he believes someone might have been trying to sabotage the set by putting a live round in a box of dummy ammunition.

“How did a live round get on set, and who put that live round on the set?” Jason Bowles, an attorney for “Rust” armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, asked on NBC’s “TODAY” show.

Robert Gorence, Gutierrez-Reed’s other attorney, also joined the interview.

“There was a box of dummy rounds labeled ‘dummy,'” Bowles said. “We don’t know whether the live round came from that box. We’re assuming somebody put the live round in that box.” (Read more from “‘Rust’ Armorer’s Attorney Suggests Sabotage May Have Led to Fatal On-Set Shooting” HERE)

Minneapolis Votes to Keep Police Department

Voters in Minneapolis shot down an attempt to replace the city’s police department with a Department of Public Safety, setting back the police reform movement across the country.

Election results showed that 57% voted against and 43% in favor of City Question 2, with 92% of precincts reporting. Question 2 asked if an amendment to the city charter should “remove the Police Department and replace it with a Department of Public Safety that employs a comprehensive public health approach … which will not be subject to exclusive mayoral power.”

Officials such as Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, Gov. Tim Walz, and Sens. Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith, all Democrats, were opposed to the measure. (Read more from “Minneapolis Votes to Keep Police Department” HERE)

Biden Lies, Claims Wages Rising Faster Than Inflation

Recent figures published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics contradict President Biden’s claim Tuesday that wage growth for American workers has outpaced inflation in recent months.

Biden made the claim during his press conference at the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow after he was pressed to explain when Americans could expect the cost of everyday items such as gas and food to decline. Inflation rose to 5.4% in September compared to one year earlier, matching its highest rate in 13 years.

“Things are a hell of a lot better,” Biden said. “The wages have gone up higher, faster than inflation and we have generated real economic growth. It doesn’t mean these dislocations aren’t real. They do affect people’s lives.”

Wages have increased in recent months amid intense competition in the labor market, rising 0.6% in September, or 4.6% year-over-year. But statistics suggest that inflation has prevented the average American worker from reaping the benefits. (Read more from “Biden Lies, Claims Wages Rising Faster Than Inflation” HERE)

Whistleblower: Pfizer Falsified Data in Vaccine Trial

Hours before the CDC panel’s approval Tuesday of the Pfizer vaccine for children 5-11, the British Medical Journal published an article featuring a whistleblower’s charge that poor practices at a contract research company helping to carry out Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine trial last fall may have compromised data integrity and patient safety.

The whistleblower, Brook Jackson, was a regional director in Texas who was employed at the research organization Ventavia Research Group. After her company ignored her complaints, she emailed the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. On the same day she sent the email, she was fired.

Jackson told The BMJ that during the pivotal Phase III trial, Pfizer falsified data, unblinded patients, employed inadequately trained vaccinators and was slow to follow up on reported adverse events.

The BMJ said she has provided dozens of internal company documents, photos, audio recordings and emails to back her claims.

During the fall of 2020, The BMJ noted, Pfizer’s chairman and CEO, Albert Bourla, released an open letter to the people of the world anticipating the launch of a vaccine that would end the pandemic. (Read more from “Whistleblower: Pfizer Falsified Data in Vaccine Trial” HERE)

Mother of Loudoun County Rapist Blames Victim: ‘You’re 15. You Can Reasonably Defend Yourself’

The mother of the skirt-wearing boy, who was convicted of raping a ninth-grade girl in a Loudoun County school restroom, said Monday that the victim was to blame for being assaulted because she did not make stronger attempts to defend herself.

The boy’s mother said in an interview that her son, who last week was found guilty on two counts of rape, was not transgender despite reports alleging that he was. She said he just likes to wear skirts sometimes.

But she also defended her son’s actions pertaining to the sexual assault, falsely alleging that, at the time of the May 28 assault, he “wanted to have sex in the bathroom, with somebody that was willing.”

The mother then proceeded to blame the victim for not doing more to fight off her rapist.

“If I was in a position where I was about to be raped, I would be screaming, kicking, everything,” she told the Daily Mail. “You’re 15. You can reasonably defend yourself. You’re not just going to sit there and take it. And so, because there wasn’t a presence of a fight, he felt it was okay to keep going.” (Read more from “Mother of Loudoun County Rapist Blames Victim: ‘You’re 15. CDC Recommends Pfizer Shot for Kids Ages 5-11

On Tuesday, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5 to 11 years old.

“The endorsement, by CDC Director Rochelle Walensky on Tuesday, was the last step before doctors, nurses and pharmacists could start giving the shots,” The Wall Street Journal reported.

“Together, with science leading the charge, we have taken another important step forward in our nation’s fight against the virus that causes Covid-19,” Walensky said in a statement Tuesday evening.

“As a mom, I encourage parents with questions to talk to their pediatrician, school nurse or local pharmacist to learn more about the vaccine and the importance of getting their children vaccinated,” Walensky noted.

Walensky has previously said she thinks kids should keep wearing face coverings in school even after they’ve received a COVID-19 vaccination. (Read more from “CDC Recommends Pfizer Shot for Kids Ages 5-11” HERE)

School Districts Struggle With Food Shortages Amid Supply Chain Crisis

Two school districts in Ohio are struggling to supply school lunch programs for students amid shortages of workers and supply chain issues.

“The costs have gone up quite substantially,” Parma City School District food and nutrition supervisor Bob Gorman told ABC5 Cleveland. “We’ve had shortages on many items from bread to cereal to certain chicken products.”

“One school may get a chicken patty, one may get chicken nuggets, one may get a chicken finger, one may get a hamburger that day. It’s really been hit or miss menu-wise with what we’re actually serving,” Gorman said.

Nearby Bedford City School District is also having difficulties. In a letter to the parents on Oct. 1, Bedford nutrition supervisor Jennifer Dickson said “the food shortage is beginning to really impact what we are going to be able to serve our children.”

“Many hours are spent each week ordering and reordering to search for items to cover out of stock items with foods as close to the items listed on the menus as possible,” Dickson said. “Each week there are more and more items out of stock. Outages are trickling down through commodity items and now into many commercial products and even water and beverages. Paper products including serving trays, plastic ware, portion cups, Styrofoam bowls of any kind and even paper bags are becoming hard if not impossible to acquire.” (Read more from “School Districts Struggle With Food Shortages Amid Supply Chain Crisis” HERE)

Judge Makes Stunning Ruling for Businesses With Christian Beliefs

A federal judge has ruled that for-profit businesses when they operate on sincerely held religious beliefs are protected from liability for claims of discrimination by those who choose the LGBT lifestyles.

The company that filed the action, Braidwood, “has established Title VII places a substantial burden on its religious exercise, and defendants fail to meet the burden to show a compelling interest,” wrote the judge. “But even if their broad formulation of their interest in ‘preventing all forms of discrimination’ were sufficient, defendants have not selected the least restrictive means.

“Forcing a religious employer to hire, retain, and accommodate employees who conduct themselves contrary to the employer’s views regarding homosexuality and gender identity is not the least restrictive means of promoting that interest, especially when defendants are willing to make exceptions to Title VII for secular purposes.” . . .

The report explained the judge’s decision starts the process of resolving multiple questions left unaddressed by the Supreme Court’s decision in its Bostock case, where the justices granted anti-bias protections for sexual orientations and gender identity.

That decision was reached based on the belief that decades ago, when Congress was writing nondiscrimination law, the members, when they cited “sex,” intended that word to be understood to include transgenderism, gender identity and such. Daycare Wants Parents to Talk About ‘Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion’ at Home With Their Six-Week-Old Children

A for-profit child care facility is encouraging parents to talk about “anti-racism” and “diversity, equity, and inclusion” at home with their children as young as six weeks old.

KinderCare, a child care network headquartered in Portland, Oregon, is telling parents that “it’s never too early” to teach children about “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI) in the home. The organization’s DEI homepage promised to introduce students to “culturally responsive teaching,” which places students’ identity and emotions at the center of their education.

“Whether your child is six weeks old or in the sixth grade, they’re ready to learn how to practice empathy, compassion and understanding,” the DEI homepage reads. “And everything they do — from reading books and making art to even having lunch — can be experienced through an anti-bias lens.”

KinderCare’s DEI page includes resources for bringing DEI lessons into the home. Parents with babies are encouraged to read books that “show different cultures, identities, and characters,” listen to new music genres, and share “little tastes of food” from “different cuisines.” According to the website, naming feelings for a baby can also “help interrupt the development of biases.” (Read more from “Daycare Wants Parents to Talk About ‘Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion’ at Home With Their Six-Week-Old Children” HERE)

Democrats Are Using the Same 2020 Election Shenanigans to Overtake Virginia This Year

By The Federalist. Virginia’s hotly contested gubernatorial race is just days away, and with Republican Glenn Youngkin and former Democratic Gov. Terry McAuliffe tied in the polls, the professional left isn’t leaving anything to chance. A McAuliffe defeat is largely considered a bellwether for congressional Democrats in the 2022 midterms.

So how do Democrats plan to ensure a McAuliffe win and a subsequent retention of power in the state and U.S. Senate? By using the same tactic they used in the 2020 national contest: profligate mail-in voting and fake grassroots get-out-the-vote efforts funding by philanthropies and wealthy leftists, a strategy revealed through Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s gift to the Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL).

And it’s a smart strategy. Joe Biden voters were twice as likely as Donald Trump voters to vote by mail in 2020, for example; and we know the effect of Zuckerberg’s millions on the 2020 election. The Capital Research Center specializes in exposing the activists behind these efforts. Here’s what we’ve discovered about the funding and activists behind them. . .

In September, I reported on a new wave of 2 million applications for Virginians to register for absentee ballots in 2021. These applications weren’t sent out by state or local elections officials, but by politically active nonprofits: the Voter Participation Center and Center for Voter Information (collectively “the center”). An internal memo details the spots they planned to cover most aggressively, many of which parallel Biden’s performance in 2020.

The center explicitly targeted the “New American Majority,” another code for likely Democratic voters that they define as “young people, people of color and unmarried women.” That bloc contains 73 percent of all unregistered voters nationwide, which is why the left-wing strategists at the Democracy Alliance consider their turnout “central to progressive long-term success.” (Read more from “Democrats Are Using the Same 2020 Election Shenanigans to Overtake Virginia This Year” HERE)

Lawsuits Filed as 300,000 Ballots Allegedly Impacted as Virginia Governor’s Race Takes Off

By Western Journal. The Democratic Party of Virginia has filed a lawsuit contending that hundreds of thousands of mail-in ballots could be caught up in the glacially-paced USPS mail delivery system, threatening to disenfranchise masses of voters and impact the commonwealth’s tight gubernatorial race.

Last week, the party filed a lawsuit claiming that as many as 300,000 Virginians intend to cast their ballots in Tuesday’s critical election by mail, but local USPS branches have failed to deliver ballots in time for voters to fill them out and return them by the deadline.

“Thousands of absentee ballots currently sit at postal facilities throughout the Commonwealth, unprocessed for weeks on end,” the suit alleges, according to The Washington Times. (Read more from “Lawsuits Filed as 300,000 Ballots Allegedly Impacted as Virginia Governor’s Race Takes Off” HERE)
