Report: Amazon Started a Social Media War With Democrats Because Jeff Bezos Got Mad

A recent report from Recode states that e-commerce giant Amazon’s recent social media posts targeting Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) came after CEO Jeff Bezos angrily told executives that they weren’t pushing back hard enough against criticism of the company.

Recode reports in an article titled “Amazon Started a Twitter War Because Jeff Bezos Was Pissed,” that Amazon’s recent tweets harshly criticizing Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren were the result of a new mandate from company CEO Jeff Bezos to fight back harder against criticism.

Recode reports:

Recode has learned that Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos expressed dissatisfaction in recent weeks that company officials weren’t more aggressive in how they pushed back against criticisms of the company that he and other leaders deem inaccurate or misleading. What followed was a series of snarky and aggressive tweets that ended up fueling their own media cycles. . .

“I welcome @SenSanders to Birmingham and appreciate his push for a progressive workplace,” Clark’s account posted on Wednesday. “I often say we are the Bernie Sanders of employers, but that’s not quite right because we actually deliver a progressive workplace.”

Biden’s Diversity and Inclusion Chief Under Investigation for Posts Comparing Trump to Hitler

The Department of Defense is investigating the head of the U.S. Special Operations Command’s office of diversity and inclusion for posting anti-Trump content to social media.

The Pentagon announced last week that it had hired Richard Torres-Estrada to serve as USSOCOM’s head of diversity. . .

The announcement sparked backlash online as old social media posts from Torres-Estrada’s Facebook page began circulating online. One post from June 2020 featured side-by-side photos of former President Donald Trump holding up a Bible outside of St. John’s Church in Washington, D.C., and a doctored image of Adolf Hitler made to look as if he is holding up a Bible.

Torres-Estrada captioned the post, “Here I leave this and slowly retire (to continue working from home)…”

A spokesman for USSOCOM confirmed to The Daily Caller News Foundation on Sunday that the Pentagon had opened up an investigation into Torres-Estrada over his social media posts. (Read more from “Biden’s Diversity and Inclusion Chief Under Investigation for Posts Comparing Trump to Hitler” HERE)

New Poll Shows ‘Warning Signs’ for President Biden

President Joe Biden is facing such struggles that even ABC’s Kendall Karson foretells of “warning signs” from their poll released on Sunday, conducted March 26 and March 27 with 517 adults. This is especially the case when it comes to “areas of his agenda where external events have imposed new urgency,” including when it gun control and unaccompanied minors.

Fifty-seven percent of adults disapprove of Biden’s handling of “the situation with migrants and unaccompanied children showing up at the US-Mexican border,” as well as when it comes to “gun violence.” . . .

President Biden especially can’t win when it comes to gun control. Karson notes that, with added emphasis, “Biden’s handling of gun violence draws disapproval from 86% of Republicans, 56% of independents and 37% of Democrats — the highest dissatisfaction among members of his own party of the issues asked about in the survey. The disapproval from both sides is likely seen by Republicans as pursuing too many gun restrictions and by some Democrats as not acting quickly enough.” (Read more from “New Poll Shows ‘Warning Signs’ for President Biden” HERE)

CNN Describes Horrific Murder of Uber Driver as an ‘Accident’ (VIDEO)

CNN described the horrific Washington, DC murder of an UberEats driver by two teen girls as an “accident” after graphic footage of the incident went viral Saturday.

Mohammad Anwar, who is 66 years old and from Springfield, Va., died after two girls aged 13 and 15 dragged him while he gripped the car they were stealing. The minors eventually flipped the vehicle, flinging Anwar to the sidewalk on Tuesday. The minors are from the DC area, according to police.

[Warning: Twitter video contains graphic footage.]

The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department declared in a press release Wednesday the two girls have been charged with felony murder and armed carjacking. Anwar was assaulted with a Taser amid the carjacking, the police say: “The Detectives’ investigation on the scene revealed that the suspects assaulted the victim with a taser while carjacking the victim which resulted in a motor vehicle accident.”

Academic Researchers Claim Gun Rights Advocates Are Racist

Researchers from the University of Illinois at Chicago have published a study that claims “racially biased conservative Whites” support the Second Amendment right to bear arms because they identify gun ownership with good citizenship and suggests mass shootings “may be a symptom of the country’s enduring legacy of racism.”

This analysis was published in the Washington Post by associate professor of political science Alexandra Filindra, Ph.D. student in political science Beyza Buyuker, and clinical assistant professor of political science Noah J. Kaplan of the University of Illinois at Chicago. They published their findings in the Post after two mass shootings occurred within one week of each other in Georgia and Colorado and amid a renewed national debate over gun control.

These researchers wanted to find out why “gun rights supporters are highly politically organized and unwavering on their views, while gun regulation supporters are not.”

“Our research found a reason for this difference: racial differences in rates of gun ownership and beliefs about guns,” the researchers wrote. “White Americans are far more likely than any other group to own firearms and oppose gun regulations. To them, guns are potent political symbols. For many people, especially White Americans, guns are integral to who they are as citizens and what it means to be a good citizen.”

On the other hand, gun control advocates “tend to think about guns in terms of preventing violence and the harms that guns can inflict,” the researchers state. Because “racially conservative Whites” — who are defined as scoring high on measures of anti-black prejudice — associate gun ownership with good citizenship, they “interpret attempts to restrict access to guns not as an effort to prevent gun violence but as an attack on their ability to express their patriotism.” (Read more from “Academic Researchers Claim Gun Rights Advocates Are Racist” HERE)

Federal Appeals Court Rules Against Trump-Era Bump Stock Ban, Says Ban Is Likely Unconstitutional

Former President Donald Trump’s controversial ban on bump stocks was placed on hold last week by a federal appeals court that determined the ban is probably unconstitutional. . .

The group Gun Owners of America and others sued the government, arguing the bump stock ban violated the Fifth Amendment’s takings clause, the 14th Amendment’s right to due process, and the Administrative Procedure Act, according to Bloomberg Law.

The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Thursday that a federal district court should have granted the plaintiffs’ request for a preliminary injunction against the ban because they could likely prove the ban is unlawful.

In fact, the court explained the question of bump stock lawfulness should be answered — but not by unaccountable executives.

Whether ownership of a bump-stock device should be criminally punished is a question for our society. Indeed, the Las Vegas shooting sparked an intense national debate on the benefits and risks of bump-stock ownership. And because criminal laws are rooted in the community, the people determine for themselves—through their legislators—what is right or wrong. The executive enforces those determinations. It is not the role of the executive— particularly the unelected administrative state—to dictate to the public what is right and what is wrong.

Governor Vows ‘Executive Action’ Against Any Biden Vaccine Passport

If so-called “vaccine passports” are required by the Biden administration or private companies, Florida Republian Gov. Ron DeSantis promised Monday he would take “executive action” in his state.

“You want the fox to guard the hen house? I mean, give me a break,” DeSantis said. “I think this is something that has huge privacy implications. It is not necessary to do.”

A digital “vaccine passport” would require customers to provide proof of vaccination to enter a store or a form of transportation. . .

“But at the same time, we are not going to have you provide proof of this, just to be able to live your life normally,” DeSantis said. . .

“I’m going to be taking some action, in an executive function, emergency function, here very shortly.” (Read more from “Governor Vows ‘Executive Action’ Against Any Biden Vaccine Passport” HERE)

Was ‘Oldest Bible in the World’ Mistakenly Dismissed as Fake?

It’s being called “the most controversial cold case mystery in the history of biblical scholarship” involving possibly “the most significant archaeological discovery of all time.”

New research is shining fresh light on what may have been the oldest portion of the Bible ever found, perhaps Moses’ own copy of Deuteronomy, a version that was initially dismissed as a forgery. . .

“It was allegedly discovered by bedouin tribesmen around 1865, east of the Dead Sea, in a remote cave, high above the Wadi Mujib (biblical Arnon). Shapira believed that his manuscript was both ancient and authentic. In 1883, he presented his scroll to the leading scholars of Europe. Newspapers around the world covered the unfolding story as scholars debated the genuineness of the leather strips. Ultimately the scroll was deemed a forgery and Shapira the forger.” . . .

Nichols, an ordained minister and teacher of the Hebrew faith in St. Francisville, Louisiana, says the case might have remained closed were it not for an astonishing find eight decades after the reported discovery of Shapira’s scroll.

“That discovery was also made by bedouin, but in a cave west of the Dead Sea. Those scrolls proved to be unquestionably authentic and were more than 2,000 years old. The world now knows them as the Dead Sea Scrolls. We must now ask, ‘Could the nineteenth-century scholars have been wrong about Shapira’s scroll?'” (Read more from “Was ‘Oldest Bible in the World’ Mistakenly Dismissed as Fake?” HERE)

Biden Administration Is Preparing ANOTHER COVID Relief Package

The Biden White House is planning to push forward with another massive coronavirus relief bill despite having just passed and signed a trillion-dollar relief package, press secretary Jen Psaki told Chris Wallace Sunday.

The bill’s $1400 individual stimulus relief is barely in Americans’ bank accounts but the Biden administration says it wants further stimulus payments, as well as increased funding for healthcare and education — two industries that received major handouts in the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.

“When the president advocated for the American Rescue Plan, he talked about this being two stages: rescue then recovery. What the American people will hear from him this week, is part of his plan, the first step of his plan toward recovery which will include an investment in infrastructure,” Psaki said.

Biden is, in fact, scheduled to debut a “multi-trillion-dollar” infrastructure investment bill later this week during a trip to Pennsylvania, but the president had yet to specify whether that initiative was also a COVID-19 relief project. According to Psaki, it may, in fact, be the first over several pandemic-oriented bills, all with price tags over $1.9 trillion — more than Biden’s first bill. Dominion Voting Won’t Rule Out Suing Trump

. . .Dominion Voting Systems CEO John Poulos is not ruling out legal action against President Trump, whose surrogates have spent nearly two months alleging the Nov. 3 election, which Trump lost, may have been the result of compromised machines and software.

“We will not be overlooking anybody,” Poulos told CNN Thursday.

Lawyers for the president, who have offered no credible proof of claims being made against Dominion, reportedly received notice from the company’s attorney’s that all records dealing with Dominion should be preserved for “imminent” litigation.

(L-R) President and CEO of Election Systems & Software Tom Burt, President and CEO of Dominion Voting Systems John Poulos, President and CEO of Hart InterCivic Julie Mathis testify during a hearing before the House Administration Committee January 9, on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. The committee held a hearing on “2020 Election Security-Perspectives from Voting System Vendors and Experts.” (Read more from “Dominion Voting Won’t Rule Out Suing Trump” HERE)
