Fired USA Today Editor Deflects From Wrongdoing, Alleges ‘White Supremacy’

A USA Today “race and inclusion” editor was fired this week for using her professional Twitter account to report flagrant disinformation in the wake of a mass shooting. In response, she wrote a lengthy Medium post that briefly admitted “regret” for her “careless error in judgement” but focused mostly on how the corporate press is allegedly “subservient to white authority.”

In the wake of the mass shooting in Boulder, Colo., Hemal Jhaveri exchanged tweets with Deadspin senior editor Julie DiCaro.

“Extremely tired of people’s lives depending on whether a white man with an AR-15 is having a good day or not,” DiCaro wrote. Jhaveri replied, “it’s always an angry white man. always.” . . .

Jhaveri complained of a double standard, claiming on Medium, “White USA TODAY reporters have been able to minimize racialized people in print, our white Editor-In-Chief was thoughtless about black face, and a senior politics editor (also white) showed disregard for journalistic ethics by hosting a tax payer funded reception for Trump appointees. All kept their jobs.”

4 Dead After Heavy Rain Causes Record Flooding in Nashville

By ABC News. At least four people have died after heavy rain caused flooding to reach record levels in Nashville.

One of the victims was found at the Nashboro Village golf course, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Investigators believe the victim, Douglas Hammond, 65, was swept away by high floodwaters after he got out of a car that ran off the road, police said. He lived near the golf course, authorities said.

Two other victims, a 46-year-old man and a 64-year-old woman, were near a homeless camp in a wooded area adjacent to Wentworth-Caldwell Park, police said.

At Least 130 People Rescued From Flooded Areas Around Nashville

By WKRN. Nashville Fire reports at least 130 people were rescued overnight from flooded areas after more than 7 inches of rain fell in the city.

Special Operation Swift Water Rescue Teams rescued people from automobiles, apartments, and houses, and are continuing to answer emergency calls.

That includes at least 15 people rescued from a building on Linbar Drive that had been compromised due to a mudslide.

Nashville Mayor John Cooper announced Sunday afternoon he signed an executive order declaring a local state of emergency due to the flooding. Mayor Cooper said Nashville is looking for state and federal resources for help.

California Democrat Changes Bill That Would Have Prohibited Christians, Conservatives From Serving in Law Enforcement

California State Assemblymember Ash Kalra eliminated language in his proposed bill AB 655, the California Law Enforcement Accountability Reform Act, that could have banned conservatives and people of faith from law enforcement. The Democratic lawmaker made the change on Friday. . .

“Under the guise of addressing police gangs, the bill at the same time launches an inexplicable, unwarranted, and unprecedented attack on peaceable, conscientious officers who happen to hold conservative political and religious views,” said Pacific Justice Institute Senior Staff Attorney Matthew McReynolds a few weeks ago. “Indeed, this is one of the most undisguised and appalling attempts we have ever seen, in more than 20 years of monitoring such legislation, on the freedom of association and freedom to choose minority viewpoints.”

Now that Kalra’s legislation has garnered national attention, he appears to be changing course. Speaking to KPIX CBS News on Friday, the San Jose assemblymember said, “We have put in amendments to remove the specificity regarding denial of constitutional rights. Because, you do have the First Amendment right to be part of groups that may differ in opinion.”

Nevertheless, Kalra still has not adequately addressed the persisting ambiguity of the claim that “participation in hate group activities, or public expressions of hate, as specified, and as those terms are defined” would “disqualify a person from employment.” The ultimate question remains. Trump To Visit Border During Crisis: ‘They Don’t Know What They’re Doing’

Former President Donald Trump has been banned or suspended from every major social media platform, but there are reports that he may create his network in the near future. Trump has appeared on Fox News three times in the past week, where much of his indignation has been aimed at President Joe Biden and the current border crisis.

Trump appeared on Fox News’ “Justice with Judge Jeanine” on Saturday night, where the former president berated his successor over the dismantling of his immigration policies.

“Thousands and thousands of people are coming up right now as we speak,” Trump stated. “And you’re going to have millions of people pouring into our country. And it’s going to destroy our country.” . . .

Trump then said that he would visit the U.S. southern border.

“I don’t know what they’re doing. And they don’t know what they’re doing,” Trump said of the Biden administration. “It’s a very, very dangerous situation. I’d love not to be involved. Facial Recognition Vaccine Passports Being Developed

Tech firms funded by the British government are developing facial recognition systems that could be used by private businesses, such as pubs, as coronavirus vaccine passports.

The scheme being developed by the tech companies iProov and Mvine — which have received a £75,000 government grant — would see companies employ software that would cross-reference the face of British patrons to vaccination and coronavirus testing databases before entering their establishment.

The chief executive of iProov, Andrew Bud, told The Times that other vaccine passport systems are ineffective compared to facial recognition technology.

“Whoever is standing on the door of the pub is going to have to scan the certificate, read the name and date of birth, then ask the person for an ID document, check that the name and date of birth on the ID document are the same, squint at the photograph on the ID document and then make sure that the person in front of them is that person,” Mr Bud said, adding: “…that’s not going to happen.”

President Kamala? Veep Bucks Biden Order To Enforce Border Control

Vice President Kamala Harris is dodging a Wednesday request by President Joe Biden to bolster the enforcement of migration laws in Mexico and Latin American countries.

On March 24, in a televised statement, Biden directed Harris to get the Mexican and Central American governments to forcibly block poor migrants moving towards the United States. Biden said: “The Vice President … agreed to lead our diplomatic effort and work with those nations to accept returnees and enhance migration enforcement at their borders — at their borders.” [emphasis added] . . .

On Friday, Symone Sanders, Harris’s press secretary, redefined the request.

“The president asked the vice president to take on the diplomatic effort, with Mexico and countries in the northern triangle to address the root causes of migration,” she said. “There are many reasons that move these folks to make this dangerous journey.”

Pelosi: I Can Seat and Unseat Any Member of Congress…That’s My Right; White House Agrees (VIDEO)

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi might as well have declared, “I am the Congress” with her latest remarks about the Iowa House seat that’s become another ‘stop the steal’ story for the 2020 cycle. She pretty much said she has the right to seat or unseat members of the House of Representatives regardless of the election result. The empress has spoken. Also, a tad creepy, huh?

Iowa’s second congressional district race ended with Republican Mariannette Miller-Meeks winning by literally a handful of votes. She was certified. She was seated, but her Democratic opponents, Rita Hart, wants the certification overturned (via NPR):

The House Administration Committee is reviewing a challenge brought by defeated Iowa Democrat Rita Hart against freshman Republican Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, who won the race by just six votes.

Attorneys for the two candidates submitted initial legal briefs to the panel on Monday. In a terse 23-page brief, Miller-Meeks’ counsel broadly denied Hart’s claims and said the burden was on Hart to prove that a state-certified election should be overturned.

Psaki Says White House Agrees With Pelosi’s Effort To Steal Iowa House Seat

By The Federalist. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Friday the Biden administration stands by House Democrats’ effort to overturn the results of an Iowa House race. After multiple recounts, the race has already been certified by bipartisan state election officials.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi gave her blessing to the House Administration Committee taking up failed candidate Rita Hart’s plea to overturn the results of Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District race captured by freshman Republican Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks by six votes.

“Four Republican senators in a letter to corporations are calling the battle for Democrats to take back the seat, an ‘unacceptable attempt to undermine a legitimate Democratic process,’” a reporter pressed during a White House press briefing. “Does the president agree with their assessment?”

Welcome To California: Whites Excluded, Illegal Aliens Qualify for City’s $500 Month Payout Program

Oakland, California, Mayor Libby Schaaf (D) announced a program that offers poor minority families $500 a month. Poor white families are excluded for the sin of being white. However, illegal aliens qualify.

Per the Daily Mail, “An estimated 10,000 of Oakland’s 435,000 population are white residents who live in poverty,” but they will receive nothing, and only because they are white.

Here is how you qualify for Oakland’s no-questions-asked $500 a month:

You must have at least one child

Your income must be at or below 50 percent of Oakland’s median income

You must not be white

Senator Introduces Bill To Keep Critical Race Theory Out of Military

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) on Thursday introduced legislation that would keep critical race theory specifically, and broad “anti-American” ideas such as the claim that American “is a fundamentally racist country” out of the military.

Christopher Rufo reported at City Journal that Cotton’s bill is based on the premise that the military should encourage members to “love the United States,” defend the “founding principles of the United States,” and treat everyone as “human beings with equal dignity and protection under the law.” Critical race theory, Cotton’s bill insists, rejects these premises with its notions that America is irredeemably racist and stoking racial division.

“Our military’s strength depends on the unity of our troops and the knowledge that America is a noble nation worth fighting for,” Cotton said of the bill, according to Fox News. “Critical race theory teaches that race is a person’s most important characteristic, and that America is an evil, oppresive place. That idea may be fashionable in left-wing circles and college classrooms, but it has no place in our military. Not only will such racist ideas undermine our troops’ faith in each other, they’ll also erode their trust in our country’s guiding principles. The United States military shouldn’t be promoting such divisive, un-American ideas.”

The legislation would specifically ban ideas like the U.S. “is a fundamentally racist country” or that “[a]n individual, by virtue of his or her race, is inherently racist or oppressive, whether consciously or unconsciously.” The text also provided that the bill shouldn’t be construed to restrict free speech or prevent service members from accessing materials that advocate those types of theories.

2020 Chaos ‘Is Precisely How Elections Are Stolen’

A former counterintelligence officer who now is the director of investigations and research for Judicial Watch says the chaos of the 2020 presidential election “is precisely how elections are stolen.”

“The further we get from the November 2020 election, the more we will see documented evidence of voting irregularities, manipulations and gamesmanship,” writes Chris Farrell in a column for the Gatestone Institute.

Those problems need to be addressed before the November 2022 elections, he said, pointing to unresolved issues in Georgia, Wisconsin and Maricopa County, Arizona, in particular.

“We must use every legal tool available to us … to ensure free and fair elections that the American people can trust,” he said. . .

“The mainstream news media continues to shout down anyone raising even the slightest penumbral emanations of possible 2020 election irregularities, and social media giants suspend, and even erase, people for similar ‘violations of community standards’ (whatever that means),” he said.
