Federal Judge Releases BLM Capitol Rioter Without Bail

John Earle Sullivan, a far-left agitator who was present at the Capitol riots on Jan. 6 and recorded a woman’s death at the hands of police, was released from jail on Friday without bail, according to Fox News.

According to Utah District Magistrate Judge Daphne Oberg, the motion for Sullivan’s detention was denied because it didn’t meet the court’s threshold for a hearing. Prosecutors had asked for Sullivan to be retained in jail at least until inauguration day. . .

Federal judges have denied bail to others who took part in the Jan. 6 chaos. Not Oberg.

“The court orders John Earle Sullivan’s release, in this case, based on a finding that the government did not establish a basis to hold a detention hearing…Because the court finds the threshold conditions under § 3142(f) have not been met, it cannot hold a detention hearing and, thus, cannot detain the defendant,” Oberg wrote.

After a horde of Trump supporters sacked the U.S. Capitol building over Congress certifying President-elect Joe Biden’s win in the Electoral College this month, Democrats and legacy media raised hysteria that the recent incursion was the first in what was supposed to become a series of domestic attacks targeting state capitols ahead of the inauguration. . .

Upwards of 25,000 federal troops descended on Washington to prepare for the imminent insurrection, occupying the city with more boots on the ground in the Beltway than in Iraq and Afghanistan combined. At least 17 other states called up the National Guard. Police ramped up security in all 50 state capitols, bracing for an attack, while Democrats exploiting the Jan. 6 crisis at the Capitol continued to feed fears of a right-wing revolution after spending eight months vilifying law enforcement in the wake of their own in the name of social justice. . .

As the New York Times published on Sunday, however, FBI warnings of a violent uprising, amplified by Democrats with hysterical theatrics featuring more troops occupying Washington than parts of the Middle East, have yet to substantiate.

“After Capitols Become Fortresses, Far-Right Protesters Are Mostly a No-Show,” the Times headlined its reporting.

The nation’s militarized streets on Sunday were a remarkable spectacle as police and National Guard officers faced off with promised right-wing protests that, at least on Sunday, were reduced to a whimper. Protesters in some states could be counted on one hand.

Hillary Clinton: Trump’s Phone Records Should Be Checked To See If He Called Putin During Capitol Riot

By Daily Caller. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Monday that President Donald Trump’s phone records should be checked to see if he called Russian President Vladimir Putin during the Capitol riot.

. . .During a podcast interview with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Clinton suggested that Trump was in cahoots with Putin during the riot.

“I would love to see his phone records, to see whether he was talking to Putin the day that the insurgents invaded our capitol,” Clinton, who lost the presidential race against Trump in 2016, said. “But we all know that not just him, his enablers, his accomplices, his cult members, have the same disregard for democracy.”

CNN Pushes to Close Down Newsmax TV

CNN is making no mistake about it: It wants to censor and close Newsmax from broadcasting as a cable news channel.

Apparently jolted by the fact Newsmax has skyrocketed to become the 4th highest-rated cable news channel in the country, the liberal CNN is decrying what it calls Newsmax’s “election denialism” and is seeking to have it “deplatformed” from cable and satellite systems across the nation.

Oliver Darcy, CNN’s leftwing media critic, has been demanding cable operators drop Newsmax, which is currently carried by every major system in the nation. Newsmax is also streamed free by most OTT platforms and devices.

In a CNN column in early January, Darcy falsely claimed conservative media caused the protests at the Capitol on Jan. 6.

Acting Defense Secretary Says ‘No Intelligence’ Indicates Internal Threat Ahead of Biden Inauguration

Acting Defense Secretary Christopher Miller said Monday that U.S. authorities have “no intelligence indicating an insider threat” to President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration.

The FBI is vetting every National Guard member deployed to the nation’s capital due to Pentagon officials worrying about a possible insider attack, according to the Associated Press. The National Guard was called to the nation’s capital after a mob of President Donald Trump’s supporters stormed the building Jan. 6 in an attempt to stop the joint session of Congress from certifying Biden’s electoral victory in the 2020 presidential election.

Trump’s Former Personal Physician, Who Drew Attention During Campaign, Dies

President Trump’s former personal doctor, Harold Bornstein, who once declared Trump “the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency,” has died at 73.

Bornstein died Jan. 8, and a paid death notice was included in the New York Times on Thursday. Bornstein served as the president’s physician from 1980 until after Trump reached the White House in 2016.

Bornstein, who sported a distinctive look featuring shoulder-length hair, briefly entered the limelight after Trump began questioning his former political opponent Hillary Clinton’s stamina and fitness for office. As those questions were returned to him, Trump released a glowing 2015 medical report signed by Bornstein, leading the media to pay attention to the longtime doctor. Rudy Giuliani Now Says He Won’t Be on Trump’s Impeachment Defense Team

Rudy Giuliani will not be part of President Trump’s defense team in the Senate trial for his second impeachment, according to a report.

The president’s personal attorney told ABC News that he will not represent Trump due to his involvement in the Jan. 6 “Save America Rally” in DC, where he called for a “trial by combat” amid the election vote certification.

“Because I gave an earlier speech [at the rally], I am a witness and therefore unable to participate in court or in the Senate chamber,” Giuliani, who had led Trump’s efforts to overturn the election results, told ABC News.

‘Heavily Armed’ Man Arrested at Inauguration Checkpoint Was Credentialed Security Employee

A Virginia man making headlines for his arrest after he brought an unregistered firearm to an inauguration checkpoint in the days leading up to the ceremony was caught as the victim of a bureaucratic mix-up.

Wesley Allen Beeler, 31, was taken into custody after driving his Ford F-150 to an inauguration checkpoint located on the northeast end of the Capitol where officers stopped Beeler to check his credentials. According to the Washington Post, Beeler was credentialed by MVP Protective Services, a private security firm contracted to support law enforcement operations surrounding this week’s inauguration.

Washington Post reporter Carol Leonnig wrote on Twitter that Beeler, who held no extremist ties and fully cooperated with police, possessed the proper Park Pass but that the bureaucrats who issued the credential failed to adequately communicate to Secret Service and other agencies. Beeler’s employer, MVP Protective Services, did not immediately respond to The Federalist’s inquiries surrounding details of his credential.

“I showed them the inauguration badge that was given to me,” Beeler told the Post, while officers questioned whether he had any firearms in the vehicle. Beeler told the checkpoint officers he had a Glock in the armrest, prompting officials to search the car and pull out the firearm, which was found with 500 rounds of ammunition and about two dozen shotgun shells “located in plain sight,” according to court documents reviewed by the Post.

Beeler, a longtime security contractor, said he entered the checkpoint by mistake, unfamiliar with the locked-down area, which is surrounded by upwards of 25,000 troops ahead of President-elect Joe Biden’s swearing-in. Feds Say 22-Year-Old Woman Who Allegedly Stole Nancy Pelosi’s Laptop Sought to Sell It to Russian Spies

Federal law enforcement officials said they had identified a woman they believe might have stolen the laptop of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) during the Jan. 6 rioting at the U.S. Capitol.

An affidavit filed in a Washington, D.C., federal court said the FBI is seeking Riley June Williams, a 22-year-old Pennsylvania woman, over claims made to them by her former romantic interest.

That tipster told the FBI that Williams had allegedly walked out of the Capitol with Pelosi’s laptop and sought to sell it to Russia’s foreign intelligence service.

The bizarre claims followed upon confirmation from Drew Hammill, Pelosi’s deputy chief of staff, that the laptop had been stolen from her office during the Jan. 6 pro-Trump raid and rioting. . .

Mike Huckabee Calls for Kamala Harris to Be Impeached

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) says given the reasoning behind the House of Representatives’ second impeachment of President Donald Trump, Vice President-elect Kamala Harris should face the same punishment. . .

“If we’re going to impeach Donald Trump for what he said, then we’d better impeach Kamala Harris for saying the things she did last summer about the rioters and the looters,” Huckabee told Fox Business over the weekend, pointing out that Harris even established “a monetary fund to get them out of jail on bail so they could get back to the riots.”

“If we’re gonna play this game, everybody should have a turn,” he added.
