Trump’s Tariffs Deliver: U.S. Posts $27 Billion Budget Surplus

The U.S. Treasury reported a budget surplus in June, driven in large part by a surge in tariff revenue, thanks to President Donald Trump’s America-first trade policies. The surplus offers a clear reminder that strategic tariffs can strengthen the nation’s bottom line while prioritizing domestic industries and American jobs.

In June, the U.S. Treasury reported a budget surplus of just over $27 billion, a sharp turnaround from the $316 billion deficit recorded in May. The jump in revenue was partly fueled by a rise in tariff collections, helping drive a 13 percent increase in overall receipts compared to the same month last year. Meanwhile, government spending in June fell 7 percent. So far this fiscal year, which ends on September 30, the deficit stands at $1.34 trillion, about 5 percent higher than at the same point last year. However, when accounting for calendar adjustments, the deficit has actually dipped by about 1%. Year-to-date, federal revenues are up 7 percent, while spending has increased by 6 percent. As a result, rising revenue from tariffs is helping to strengthen the government’s financial position.

The U.S. government surprised observers by posting its first budget surplus in over nine years this June, defying expectations of another monthly deficit.

GOP Election Observer Didn’t Wear Mask — Now Faces Jail, Targeted by Anti‑MAGA DA Who Smears Trump Voters as ‘Racist Bullies’

A Republican election observer in the state of Washington declined to wear a face mask while inside a ballot count room in November 2024. Now, the GOP election observer has been hit with a felony conviction and faces jail time.

Tim Hazelo — a Navy veteran and the former chairman of the Island County Republican Party — was observing ballot counting on Nov. 4, 2024. Hazelo chose not to wear a face mask inside the ballot count room.

Island County Auditor Sheilah Crider established a mask mandate in certain parts of the county elections office. Crider previously told KOMO-TV that she established the mask mandate because 50% of the staff tested positive for COVID-19 during the August 2024 primary.

KOMO recently reported that those who did not want to wear a mask could still observe the ballot counting from the hallway, but “some have said their view was obstructed from that vantage point.”

Hazelo was reportedly asked to wear a mask, relocate to the hallway, or leave the premises. Hazelo apparently refused to wear a face mask, and he was escorted out of the building by two police officers. Netanyahu: Israel’s ‘Never Had Such a Friend’ as Trump

During an interview aired on Thursday’s broadcast of Newsmax TV’s “The Record,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that “We’ve never had such a friend, such a supporter of Israel, the Jewish state in the White House” than President Donald Trump and the actions against Iran’s nuclear program are an example of “what happens when there’s no daylight between an American president and an Israeli prime minister.”

Host Greta Van Susteren asked, “You have been Prime Minister through a lot of presidents, President Clinton, President Bush, President Obama, President Biden, President Trump now. Is it different for you, personally? Is it different for Israel?”

Trump Admin Ends Taxpayer Subsidies For Illegal Aliens

The departments of Health and Human Services (HHS), Education, Agriculture, Labor, and Justice are ending illegal aliens’ abilities to leech off the American taxpayer by taking advantage of federal programs.

The departments announced on Thursday that illegals will no longer be able to access the government programs, as they have been able to do since the Clinton administration. The Trump administration made the move to “ensure that taxpayer-funded program benefits intended for the American people are not diverted to subsidize illegal aliens,” HHS said in its announcement.

In doing so, the federal government rescinded a 1997 Dear Colleague letter that exempted such programs from being subject to the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act (PRWORA), which limits “federal public benefits” to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and some “qualified aliens.”

The Education Department said that the Clinton-era letter “mischaracterized the law by creating artificial distinctions between federal benefit programs based upon the method of assistance.”

The move brings various programs in line with an executive order signed by President Donald Trump called “Ending Taxpayer Subsidization of Open Borders.” (Read more from “Trump Admin Ends Taxpayer Subsidies For Illegal Aliens” HERE)

School Official Resigns after Alleged ‘Shoot Republicans’ Message Resurfaces

A local Kentucky school board chairman resigned after a social media post resurfaced of him allegedly calling to “shoot Republicans.”

Jeffrey Miller, who had served as chairman of Erlanger-Elsmere Independent School District since 2016, resigned Thursday, the newly-elected chairperson, Sara Shackelford-Ross, announced.

Miller’s social media post, reacting to a mass shooting that took place in Jacksonville, Florida in 2018, reportedly said, “i’d be ok with the NRA if these psychos were just once the victims of a mass shooting. WINK WINK: please shoot republicans.”

Kentucky Republican state representative Steven Doan said the social media comment resurfaced after he received complaints from his constituents this spring.

“This began with a request that the school reopen a track at the High School. I made a post about it on my Facebook page to see where the community stood. This is when I began receiving social media messages from community members. They said that they wanted to publicly support me and my position, but they feared retaliation,” Doan told Fox News Digital. Longtime Biden Staffer Says She Does Not ‘Recall’ Details About WH in 6-Hour Grilling

Ashley Williams, a longtime ally of former President Joe Biden, met with House investigators behind closed doors for nearly six hours Friday as Republicans probe allegations the Democrat’s top aides hid his mental decline.

A source familiar with the transcribed interview told Fox News Digital Williams said she did not “recall” various things “an untold number of times.”

“Examples include she could not recall if she spoke with President Biden in the last week, if teleprompters were used for Cabinet meetings, if there were discussions about President Biden using a wheelchair, if there were discussions about a cognitive test, if she discussed a mental or physical decline of President Biden, if she ever had to wake President Biden up and how she got involved with his 2020 campaign,” the source said.

Williams told House investigators Biden is fit to be president today, the source said.

In addition to whether senior aides covered up Biden’s alleged decline, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., is looking into whether any presidential orders were signed via autopen without the former commander in chief’s knowledge.
