Putin to Skip Peace Talks as Trump Pushes for Immediate End to War

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s absence from the second round of in-person peace talks between Russia and Ukraine sends a clear signal that the Kremlin has no genuine interest in ending the war it started. Putin’s decision to skip the negotiating table underscores his continued commitment to aggression over diplomacy. However, President Donald Trump said meeting with world leaders is crucial to signing a peace agreement.

On Monday, June 2nd, Istanbul is set to host a planned meeting involving Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany to discuss potential ceasefire talks amid the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. However, the future of these negotiations remains uncertain, as Russia has submitted “specific proposals” to Washington but has not shared them with Kyiv.

Meanwhile, it is uncertain whether Ukraine will attend the meeting, with outlets pointing out that Kyiv is “keeping Russia guessing.”

According to reports, Kyiv wants to exchange negotiation points with Moscow before the talks begin. At the same time, Russia insists on only sharing its proposals in person and behind closed doors, emphasizing that talks should remain private.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that, despite Russia’s claims of spending over a week preparing a memorandum for peace talks, they have yet to share it with Ukraine, international partners, or Turkey, the host of the initial meeting. Trump’s Tariffs Are Back in Effect After Appeals Court Ruling

An appeals court on Thursday stayed the ruling of the U.S. Court of International Trade that blocked President Donald Trump’s Liberation Day tariffs, meaning the tariffs are back in effect.

The U.S. Court of International Trade issued an injunction on Wednesday night, ruling that President Donald Trump’s “Liberation Day” tariffs are illegal. The White House filed a motion to stay the ruling, and the tariffs were reinstated Thursday afternoon, as CNBC noted, shortly after the White House slammed the ruling.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said hours before the stay that the three judges on the trade court “brazenly abused their judicial power to usurp the authority of President Trump, to stop him from carrying out the mandate that the American people gave him.” (Read more from “Trump’s Tariffs Are Back in Effect After Appeals Court Ruling” HERE)

Trump Administration To ‘Pause’ Scandal-Plagued, $2 Billion ‘Job Corps’

The Department of Labor said Thursday that it will “begin a phased pause” of an almost $2 billion federal job training program that has persisted since 1964 despite a dubious record.

The Job Corps houses a mix of runaway teens and 20-something ex-cons in residential campuses, where 16- to 24-year-olds are paid to receive their GED diplomas and training in several trades.

For decades, there has been evidence that monetary incentives have led to fraud, with contractors — who get paid bonuses for recruiting students and for having positive job-placement statistics — cooking the books to misrepresent post-graduation job outcomes, and tolerating criminal behavior on campus to avoid the loss of federal dollars that would come from expulsions.

Contractors, including large for-profit companies, operate 99 of the Job Corps’ 131 facilities, which collectively house 25,000 students. Those contracts were “terminated for convenience” on Thursday, with the contractors beginning to “mobilize students safely to their home of record” by June 30, the Labor Department said. Campuses operated by government entities, such as the Department of Agriculture, are not affected by the pause.

“Job Corps was created to help young adults build a pathway to a better life through education, training, and community,” Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer said in a statement. “However, a startling number of serious incident reports and our in-depth fiscal analysis reveal the program is no longer achieving the intended outcomes that students deserve. We remain committed to ensuring all participants are supported through this transition and connected with the resources they need to succeed as we evaluate the program’s possibilities.” (Read more from “Trump Administration To ‘Pause’ Scandal-Plagued, $2 Billion ‘Job Corps’” HERE)

‘We Found Stuff’: Dan Bongino Claims Room Full Of Evidence Found From Comey-Era FBI

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Deputy Director Dan Bongino claimed that a room containing evidence, much of it linked to former director James Comey, was discovered.

Bongino appeared for a Thursday interview with “Fox & Friends,” where co-host Lawrence Jones asked him about Comey. The video can been seen here.

“Does he still have loyalists in the building?” he asked. “Because when I hear the FBI director saying you guys are finding boxes that are hidden — how does that happen in the Bureau?”

“Well, we were there a couple of weeks, and luckily, there were a lot of people up there who grabbed us by the arm the minute we came in and said, ‘Thank you for being here — we need to talk,’” he said. “There are people there who are really horrified at what happened.”

The deputy director added, “And there was a room, and we found stuff. A lot of stuff.” (Read more from “‘We Found Stuff’: Dan Bongino Claims Room Full Of Evidence Found From Comey-Era FBI” HERE)

Declassified Doc: FBI, DOJ Declined To Charge Russia Collusion-Hoaxer Who Allegedly Lied To Congress

A newly declassified analysis reveals that the FBI and Department of Justice (DOJ) were aware of allegations that Russia-collusion hoaxer Nellie Ohr lied to Congress regarding her role in the infamous Crossfire Hurricane investigation but chose not to pursue charges.

According to the declassified 2019 analysis by the FBI, Ohr — who was working for Fusion GPS– allegedly lied to Congress on multiple occasions regarding her work attempting to link then-candidate Donald Trump and Russia. Fusion GPS was the opposition firm hired by Hillary Clinton’s campaign to dig up non-existent dirt on Trump. Fusion GPS hired ex-British spy Christopher Steele and eventually compiled what became known as the Steele Dossier. The dossier became the basis for the Russia collusion hoax.

Ohr’s husband, Bruce, was an Associate Deputy Attorney General at the DOJ at the time of Ohr’s employment with Fusion GPS.

Ohr and her husband testified before the House Committee on the Judiciary and the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform in 2018 as part of the committee’s investigation into the Russia collusion hoax.

Then-Rep. Mark Meadows of North Carolina filed a criminal referral with the DOJ alleging that Ohr knowingly lied to Congress during her testimony. (Read more from ” Declassified Doc: FBI, DOJ Declined To Charge Russia Collusion-Hoaxer Who Allegedly Lied To Congress” HERE)

Elon Musk Formally Departs From DOGE Following a Tumultuous Tenure

Elon Musk is officially stepping down from President Donald Trump’s administration after 128 days of heading the Department of Government Efficiency.

Although his tenure was brief, Musk had his fair share of controversy and criticism from legacy media, even bucking the administration at times. Despite the dramatic saga, Musk was celebrated and commended by the administration and its allies after he announced his departure.

“As my scheduled time as a Special Government Employee comes to an end, I would like to thank President Donald Trump for the opportunity to reduce wasteful spending,” Musk announced Wednesday night. “The DOGE mission will only strengthen over time as it becomes a way of life throughout the government.” . . .

Whether it’s outrage over the United States Agency for International Development or the scandal surrounding the teenage engineer formally known as “Big Balls” and all the subsequent trolling, the DOGE has been a constant fan for the flames of controversy. Most recently, Musk defied the administration and expressed disapproval over Trump’s “big, beautiful bill,” which barely passed the House last week.

Nevertheless, administration officials and MAGA allies praised Musk and his mission at the DOGE. (Read more from “Elon Musk Formally Departs From DOGE Following a Tumultuous Tenure” HERE)

3 City-Killing Asteroids Could Strike Earth Within Weeks — Generating a Million Times More Energy Than Hiroshima Atomic Bomb

. . .Venus is concealing at least three city-killer asteroids that could strike Earth in weeks without warning, potentially wreaking havoc upon our planet before we can react.

“Twenty co-orbital asteroids [space rocks in the orbit of two celestial bodies] of Venus are currently known,” the authors warned in the arockcalyptic study, which was published in the journal “Astronomy & Astrophysics.”

The international research team, led by Valerio Carruba of São Paulo University in Brazil, wrote that at least three of the asteroids — 2020 SB, 524522 and 2020 CL1 — that circle the sun in tandem with our twin planet have unstable orbits that take them dangerously close to Earth, the Daily Mail reported.

If this shaky trajectory is shifted only slightly by a small gravitational change or other force, the asteroids could be set on a collision course with our planet, per the study.

“Co-orbital status protects these asteroids from close approaches to Venus, but it does not protect them from encountering Earth,” the researchers warned, according to the Daily Galaxy. FBI Tells Employees No ‘Pride’ Activities on Company Time

Pride month celebrations at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will not be permitted this June, leadership told agents and directors Thursday.

“I’ve received several questions about the FBI’s stance on Pride Month and what related activities FBI divisions and employees should or should not participate in,” FBI Assistant Director for Public Affairs Ben Williamson said in an email to assistant directors in charge and special agents in charge on Thursday morning. “So, I want to take the opportunity to make FBI leadership’s expectations clear: There should be no official FBI actions, events, or messaging regarding Pride Month.”

The email told employees that while they are not to engage in any celebration in the office, they are “free to do as you like” in their “personal capacity” or “on your own time,” according to a Fox News report.

“But on FBI time, using FBI resources and your Bureau affiliation, you and your divisions are expected to take no official actions or issue any specific messaging,” Williamson said.

The announcement is a shift from the FBI’s stance on Pride Month under the Biden administration, which openly promoted Pride Month, including decorating the White House with rainbow pillars and hosting Pride celebrations on the South Lawn. REPORT: School Investigates After Teenager Records Teacher Comparing Trump To Hitler, Sends Video To News Station

An Arizona high school student alleged that a teacher compared President Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler during a history lesson, prompting the school district to investigate the matter, KVOA News 4 Tucson reported Tuesday.

The student, who attends Cholla High School in Tucson, recorded parts of the lecture on World War II in which the teacher allegedly said, “your generation with the lowest information level is the biggest supporter of Donald Trump, he has that in common with Hitler too,” the outlet reported.

The student’s father, presuming that the school authorities would ignore his report if he made one, sent the video recording to investigative reporters at the news outlet.

The student alleged that the teacher had a penchant for infusing her lessons with personal opinions.

“She’s trying to put her beliefs onto us,” he told the outlet, “telling me that me and my generation are Nazis for voting [for] or for being the biggest Trump supporters.” (Read more from “REPORT: School Investigates After Teenager Records Teacher Comparing Trump To Hitler, Sends Video To News Station” HERE)
