Top Trump Administration Figure Warns of Rising Prices from Tariffs (VIDEO)

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent conceded on Sunday that President Donald Trump’s tariffs could increase prices for consumers.

Walmart CEO Doug McMillon announced on a Thursday earnings call that the company would raise its prices due to the tariffs after recording a slip in first-quarter profits, despite strong quarterly sales and a bump in operating profit. During a Sunday appearance on “State of the Union,” Bessent said he spoke to McMillon, who told him that Walmart would potentially pass tariff-related costs on to American shoppers.

“I did speak to Doug McMillon, who I have a very good relationship, yesterday, just to understand what he had to say. And, you know, understand that came from an earnings call. On an earnings call, because of [Securities and Exchange Commission] requirements, they have to give the most draconian case,” Bessent said. “So, Walmart will be absorbing some of the tariffs. Some may get passed on to consumers. But the other thing that’s happening is that inflation is down. We had the first drop in inflation in four years under President Trump.”

“The other thing that Doug mentioned to me is for his consumers, for his buyers, the most important thing are gasoline prices. And this administration has gotten gasoline prices down, service prices are down,” Bessent continued. “So overall, I would expect inflation to remain in line. But I don’t blame consumers for being skittish after what happened to them four years under Biden. We had the worst inflation in 40 years.” (Read more from “Top Trump Administration Figure Warns of Rising Prices from Tariffs (VIDEO)” HERE)

Organizers Planning a ‘Nationwide’ Protest for Trump’s Birthday

Agitators are planning a not-too-surprising birthday gift for President Donald Trump on his 79th birthday — yet another anti-Trump demonstration.

Organizers say they are hoping to upstage a military parade the president has planned for June 14 in Washington, DC.

Refuse Fascism, the group claiming to be behind the event, has held rallies against the Trump administration in downtown Los Angeles and other cities, ABC’s network affiliate Channel 7 reported Sunday.

Sunsara Taylor, who is with the group, told the station:

Donald Trump is trashing the rule of law, he’s disappearing immigrants, he’s threatening to do the same without any due process (for) legal citizens. The other day on television he said he didn’t know if he has to abide by the Constitution. This is an emergency. Not just for people in this country, but for all over the planet.

The group is calling June 14 “No King’s Day.” (Read more from “Organizers Planning a ‘Nationwide’ Protest for Trump’s Birthday” HERE)

Iran’s Supreme Leader Accuses Trump of ‘Lying’ While Crowd Chants ‘Death to America’

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei slammed President Donald Trump in front of a crowd chanting “death to America” in recent comments as the United States tries to negotiate a new nuclear deal with Iran.

Khamenei accused Trump of lying about attempts to bring peace to the Middle East and said that the United States should leave the region. The supreme leader also referred to Israel as a “cancerous tumor” that needs to be “uprooted,” according to a translation of his comments by the Washington D.C.-based Middle East Media Research Institute.

“Some of the things the U.S. president said in his recent visit to the region are not even worthy of a response,” the supreme leader said Saturday in a video published and translated by the institute. “Trump said that he wanted to use power for peace. He is lying.”

In reaction to Khamenei’s comments throughout the roughly four-minute clip, the crowd of supporters alternately chant “death to America,” “death to England,” and “death to Israel.” The crowd also calls for “death to those who oppose the rule of the Jurisprudent,” a reference to the Islamic law that the Iranian regime is based on.
“[Trump] and other senior officials in the American administration have used power to perpetrate a massacre in Gaza, to stir up war wherever they could, and in order to support their mercenaries,” the supreme leader said. “When have they ever used power for peace?”

Tough-On-Crime New DA Sends Message to Criminals as He Takes Charge in Dem-Run City

Tough-on-crime Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman is doubling down on border crossings and vowed that criminals will now be held “fully accountable for their illegal actions.”

Hochman, a Republican-turned-Independent, defeated incumbent progressive prosecutor George Gascón by a 20-point margin. Gascón was considered by many voters to be soft on crime.

“I am standing at the border between LA County and San Bernardino County where criminals used to enjoy crossing in the LA direction, thinking that little to no consequences would occur if they stole, robbed and engaged in criminal conduct,” Hochman shared in a video posted on his X account on Sunday.

“Times have changed! The fun is over. A new DA was elected. And criminals in LA County will now be prosecuted and held fully accountable for their illegal actions,” he continued.”

Hochman, a former federal prosecutor and lifelong Los Angeles resident, campaigned as a “hard middle” candidate, rejecting both mass incarceration and the “public safety failure” of Gascón’s liberal policies, which Hochman said led to increased crime and a lack of consequences for juvenile offenders. Audio Of Biden’s Special Counsel Interview Is Out, And It’s Painful To Listen To

By Daily Wire. Audio of former special counsel Robert Hur’s interview with former President Joe Biden is out, showing the extent to which Biden struggled to recall simple facts.

The news outlet Axios obtained the audio of Hur’s interviews with Biden, which took place in October 2023. The recordings were taken over two three-hour interview sessions recorded on October 8 and 9.

In one audio clip, Biden struggles to recall the year his son Beau died. Beau died of brain cancer on May 30, 2015, at the age of 46. The audio shows that Biden could remember the month and day, but struggled to recall the year until he was prompted by members of the special counsel’s team.

Biden also gets the year wrong that President Donald Trump was elected to his first term. Biden confuses the year that Trump is elected, 2016, with the year that he enters office and Biden leaves the vice presidency, 2017. Biden is repeatedly prompted to clarify when he leaves office and Trump enters the White House.

As the clip continues, Biden backtracks, appears to repeat himself, and appears to misstate the year of Beau’s death again after being told the correct year. Biden struggles to spin more than a handful of words together at a time before he pauses again, appearing to be trying to recollect his thoughts. At several moments, Biden drops off midway through a sentence with a muttered, “anyway.” (Read more from “Audio Of Biden’s Special Counsel Interview Is Out, And It’s Painful To Listen To” HERE)

Portions of the Tapes Between Biden and Special Counsel Robert Hur Have Been Released. They’re Brutal.

By Townhall. The Democrats’ hell week over this matter will continue. President Trump gave Attorney General Pam Bondi the go-ahead to release the audio tapes of Special Counsel Robert Hur’s interview with Joe Biden, which captured the former president’s shoddy memory. The signs of mental decline were pervasive, but while we were called conspiracy theorists for saying so, the Democrat-media complex continued to press on with their lies about the president’s health. Axios obtained a portion of these tapes; one of the marquee moments of the Hur report was when he noted that Joe Biden had forgotten when Beau died.

It led to a press conference where the president vociferously pushed back on the report, even directing his anger at Hur for suggesting he’d forgotten when his son had passed. The problem: Biden lied constantly to the president, and this is no exception. We have proof that the then-president struggled to remember when Beau died of brain cancer. The Biden White House refused to release the tapes. The Biden Justice Department tried to deep-six it. It’s now for all to see and hear (via Axios):

Amid long, uncomfortable pauses, Joe Biden struggled to recall when his son died, when he left office as vice president, what year Donald Trump was elected or why he had classified documents he shouldn’t have had, according to audio Axios obtained of his October 2023 interviews with special counsel Robert Hur.

Why it matters: The newly released recordings of Biden having trouble recalling such details — while occasionally slurring words and muttering — shed light on why his White House refused to release the recordings last year, as questions mounted about his mental acuity.

The audio also appears to validate Hur’s assertion that jurors in a trial likely would have viewed Biden as “a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”

Economist Tells Tucker Carlson What He Predicts Trump’s Tariffs Will Do For America

Economist Oren Cass told Daily Caller News Foundation co-founder Tucker Carlson on Friday that he believes the Trump administration’s guidance on tariffs could lead to strong allies for the United States and more free trade.

Negotiations with a handful of countries have been underway since President Donald Trump announced reciprocal tariffs, hitting some countries, like China, higher than the 10% baseline due to their tariffs against the U.S. While discussing the potential effects of Trump’s economic policies, Carlson asked Cass how he believes “the tariff story” will end.

“I think the best way to understand what’s going on is to think about this kind of world order that we’ve been talking about a bunch. And recognize that what we are going through is a transition out of the U.S. as sole superpower to, I guess you would call it a multipolar world where China is a kind of peer, competitor and adversary,” Cass said.

“We’re seeing in real time how it breaks down, how you can’t just be the benevolent open market when China is now bigger than you and more technologically advanced in some ways. It can’t go on that way,” Cass added. “So I think the tariffs are the sort of tip of the spear of saying that system is over. What do we want to have replace it? And I think what the United States should want, and what I see the administration pointing toward and pushing toward, is basically, look, we still want to have strong allies. We still want to have free trade among our allies.”

Shortly after Trump’s ‘Liberation Day,’ the president announced a 90-day pause on tariffs — except for those against China — opening up trade talks with other countries. The U.S. and China entered a tariff war, leading to the U.S. slapping China with a 145% tariff. Discussions officially began May 10. Trump: ‘China Would Have Broken Apart’ if We Didn’t Do Deal, Won’t Do Deals With Everyone

By Fox News. During an interview aired on Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” President Donald Trump stated that he won’t make deals with every country because he can’t meet with that many people and also said that “If I didn’t do that deal with China, I think China would have broken apart.”

After discussing [relevant remarks begin around 10:10] the prospects of a deal with India and South Korea and forecasting that there will be a deal with India soon, Trump said, “I’m not going to make deals with everybody. I’m just going to set the limit. I’ll make another — some deals. But — and then I’m just — because I can’t — you can’t meet with that many people. I’ve got 150 countries that want to make deals. You have a lot of countries.”

Host Bret Baier then asked, “The market was really happy with the China situation and the sit-down.” (Read more from “Trump: ‘China Would Have Broken Apart’ if We Didn’t Do Deal, Won’t Do Deals With Everyone” HERE)

Donald Trump Approval Rating Climbs After Tariff Deal With China

By App. . .According to a new poll by Reuters/Ipsos, Trump’s approval rating is on the rise, reaching 44%. His disapproval rate is still higher at 52%, but it’s the best he’s scored since before announcing the tariffs.

His approval rating was 45% before it starting dropping due to the tariffs.

But this week there was good news with Trump announcing to pause tariffs on China for 90 days. The deal did a lot to help the stock market, which had been dropping in part due to the tariffs.

Trump’s approval rating is now just one point lower than it was when he took office on Jan. 20. (Read more from “Donald Trump Approval Rating Climbs After Tariff Deal With China” HERE)

Democrat Leaders In House And Senate Refuse To Condemn Comey’s Incitement Of Violence Against Trump

Democrats are not moved by former FBI Director James Comey’s beachcombing, social media post apparently calling for the assassination of President Trump. Try finding a Democrat condemning it.

In fact, The Federalist specifically asked Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, House Minority Whip Rep. Katherine Clark, and Sen. Amy Klobuchar if they planned to condemn Comey’s post. No response.

Comey’s post was a photo of seashells in the sand set in the formation of numbers “86 47” captioned, “Cool shell formation on my beach walk.”

Of course, 47 is a nickname for President Donald Trump, the 47th president. There is a long tradition of referring to presidents by their number.

And as any beat cop knows, 86 is slang for “get rid of” or “assassinate.” They know, because law enforcement makes it a point to understand threatening language.

Comey’s Latest Novel Might Be The Smoking Gun Proving He Intended To Threaten Trump

Yesterday, James Comey caused quite the stir when he went on Instagram and posted a picture of a shell formation on the beach — obviously one he made — that spelled out “86 47,” which many interpreted as a threat on President Trump’s life.

Since then, everyone’s been arguing over the definition of “86.” As slang goes, it has a wide variety of uses, some of which are more innocent, such as when you run out of a menu item at a restaurant you “86” it or when you get kicked out of a bar for being too drunk or unruly you’re said to be “86’d.” But it is also been used by the Mafia and the military to refer to killing people, and well, it’s a little harder to swallow that the man who prosecuted the Gambino crime family wasn’t aware of its more sinister meaning.

However, it gets worse than that for Comey. After posting the offending shell photo, the very next post on Instagram was him posting the favorable Publisher’s Weekly review of his third crime novel, out next week. What’s it about, you ask?

Former FBI director Comey (Westport) reunites the protagonists of his first two legal thrillers for his strongest outing yet. U.S. attorney Carmen Garcia is trying to take down Samuel Buchanan, a far-right media personality with a popular podcast vilifying those he thinks are destroying America: intellectuals, immigrants, and people of color. Garcia believes Buchanan went far beyond the protection of the First Amendment when he singled out his enemies by name and suggested “something should be done” about them. His fans have obliged, killing or grievously injuring some of his foes. In a series of tense and exhilarating courtroom scenes, Garcia works with Deputy U.S. Attorney Nora Carleton to bring Buchanan down. Then, just as they’ve convicted him, a new threat emerges …

State Attorney General Warns of Online ‘Sextortion’ Network that Targets Children

Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador is sounding the alarm on a dangerous and deeply disturbing criminal network known as 764, which is targeting children through widely used online platforms. In a move that puts public safety over political correctness, Labrador is urging parents to stay vigilant as the FBI warns of the group’s growing reach and disturbing tactics.

Labrador stated that the 764 network preys on children aged 9 to 17, coercing them into sharing explicit content or participating in self-harm, which is then used for blackmail and ongoing exploitation. The name “764” comes from a Texas ZIP code where the first cases were discovered in 2021. The Attorney General expressed concern over the network’s global reach and its calculated targeting of vulnerable children. He made it clear that his office is dedicated to deploying every possible resource to expose these criminals and protect families in Idaho.

“The tactics often lead to victims suffering in silence, as the perpetrators exploit feelings of fear, shame, and isolation to keep their victims from seeking help,” Labrador’s office said.

According to Labrador’s office, the criminals typically reach out to victims through widely used gaming and messaging platforms like Discord, Telegram, and Roblox. They prey on the victims’ fear and shame, making it harder for them to ask for help. The FBI is actively investigating more than 250 cases linked to this network across the U.S. They have also noted that those behind the 764 network use tactics such as swatting, doxxing, and other forms of harassment to force victims into complying with their demands.
