Here’s How One Restaurant Manager (And Its Corporation) Treated a Man in a MAGA Hat

Last month, Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was denied service at a Virginia restaurant because of her political ideology. This week, a Trump supporter in Canada received the same treatment.

The manager of a popular tourist restaurant in Vancouver reportedly told a customer wearing a “Make American Great Again” hat that he could either remove his red cap or leave. The man chose the latter. . .

When Darin Hodge, the floor manager on duty that night, saw the customer sitting on the restaurant’s patio with his MAGA hat on, he allegedly “took over the table” and demanded the customer remove the supposedly offensive cap.

The man answered back that he “had a right to wear it,” to which Hodge said, “If you don’t take the hat off, we won’t serve you.” The man got up an left—and he’s not only one who won’t be returning to the restaurant. . .

“[Hodge] was aware what he was doing was probably contrary to our values and our philosophy as a company in terms of hospitality and inclusiveness,” added Crimp. “We don’t discriminate against people based on political beliefs.” (Read more from “Here’s How One Restaurant Manager (And Its Corporation) Treated a Man in a MAGA Hat” HERE)

Anti-American Facebook Censoring Patriotism on Independence Day

Facebook Censoring Hits Overdrive

In its apparent zeal to ensure that no one like Trump is ever elected again, Facebook’s jihad against all things conservative has now gone into over-drive. Multiple musical artists are reporting that the social media giant has banned their patriotic music videos for unknown reasons, in advance of Independence Day.

Take, for example, Lloyd Marcus, a longtime friend of Joe Miller and contributor to Restoring Liberty. He posted this on Facebook just hours ago:

Facebook rejected [my] Pro-America Christian July 4 music video for “political content.”
PLEASE Share to your friends and groups.
“My fellow Americans my heart goes out for our country. We have fallen away from biblical principles and values which have made America the shining city on a hill. During your July4th Independence Day celebration, between eating burgers and hot-dogs, please gather your family to enjoy this new 4 minute music video reminding us of who we are as Americans. Happy Independence Day! Thanks and God Bless.”
Lloyd Marcus The Unhyphenated American
WE ARE AMERICANS 2018

And here’s his politically “offensive” video that was banned:

Pretty pathetic that Mark Zuckerberg would stoop to such a level. But this is nothing new, given his vicious assault on Facebook pages like Joe Miller’s where, with almost 47,000 followers, Facebook is trafficking Restoring Liberty’s posts to one or two hundred people, on average. Incredibly, traffic from Facebook to Restoring Liberty has fallen over 95% since Trump was elected president. And as you can see by the following story, Restoring Liberty and Lloyd Marcus aren’t the only conservative outlets targeted by Facebook.

If you’re disgusted by this type of Facebook censorship, Restoring Liberty recommends that you try Gab. Go to Gab.ai/joe-miller, start your free account, follow Joe Miller, and join a true free-speech environment. Yes, you’ll have to “mute” plenty of malcontents, but you won’t have to worry about the type of political blackballing experienced at Facebook, Twitter and Google.

Happy Independence Day!

Facebook Censoring Country Music Group’s Patriotic Song

By James Rogers. Facebook was slammed by the Wes Cook band Tuesday after it prevented the country group from using the social network’s paid tools to promote its song “I Stand for the Flag.”

The Nashville-based group released a video for “I Stand for the Flag” on Facebook Monday morning. They planned to promote the video using the paid promotion tools that the social network provides. The request was initially approved and then rejected by Facebook, which cited the video’s “political content,” according to the band. . .

The song features lyrics such as: “Don’t care if you’re black or white or who you love, I stand for the Flag and the Flag stands for all of us.”

Frontman Wes Cook argues that the song promotes a message of patriotism, not political division, as evidenced by the line “you ain’t gotta pick a side, you can love your fellow man and still have pride.”

“Our song bleeds unity and love of country. It doesn’t see race, color, religion, or political affiliation,” he said . . . (Read more from “Facebook Censoring Country Music Group” HERE)

Editor’s Note: Facebook recently reversed it’s decision on the Wes Cook’s band song. But, as of the date of this article, no such reversal has occurred for Lloyd Marcus.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY: Trump Celebrates 6 Months of ‘New Jobs, Bigger Paychecks, and Keeping More of Your Hard-Earned Money’

President Donald Trump called the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act an “economic miracle” as he marked the reform package’s six-month anniversary during a White House event…

“At last, our country finally has a tax system that is pro-job, pro-worker, pro-family, and pro-American,” Trump said.

The $1.5 trillion tax reform law cut the U.S. corporate tax rate from 35 percent, the highest in the world, to 21 percent, in line with other developed nations. It also lowered the top individual rate from 39.6 percent to 37 percent, eliminated brackets, and closed loopholes.

“It’s my great honor to welcome you back to the White House to celebrate six months of new jobs, bigger paychecks, and keeping more of your hard-earned money where it belongs: in your pocket or wherever else you want to spend it,” Trump said.

uring his remarks, Trump recognized Heritage Foundation President Kay Coles James and others in the audience for helping push what so far has been his signature legislative achievement through Congress in late 2017.

Trump pointed out not a single Democrat voted for the reform. He also said deregulation might have had as much to do with growing the economy $7 trillion.

“The typical family of four earning $75,000 will see an income tax cut of more than $2,000, and in some cases much more, slashing their tax bill in half,” Trump said. “We cut taxes for businesses of all sizes to make this the best place on earth to start a business, to invest. We have billions and billions of additional revenue coming in.”

Trump asserted more than 100 utility companies cut prices as a result of the tax cut, “saving Americans $3 billion on their utility bills.”

Trump again noted unemployment claims are at a more than four-decade low, and again cited historic low unemployment rates for blacks and Hispanics, a frequent theme in his speeches.

He added women are about to join that historic category.

“Unemployment for women, if you listened to my speech two weeks ago, you would have heard me say it’s the lowest in 21 years,” Trump said. “Now I’m saying it’s the lowest in 65 years and soon will be the lowest in history.”

The economy appears to be doing very well, said Adam Michel, tax policy analyst with The Heritage Foundation, noting some of the same employment numbers as the president.

“Even more impressive is that in the first quarter of 2018, investment—the bedrock of economic growth—increased by more than 21 percent among companies in the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index, compared with the same quarter in 2017,” Michel told The Daily Signal. “The good economic news only accounts for some small part of tax reform’s benefits, there is much more to come as businesses and individuals start to realize how the new law allows them to expand, hire, and invest even more.”

Trump also framed these changes as part of his larger reform agenda.

“Commonsense is being restored in Washington once again because hardworking Americans are in charge of their government once again. Washington tried to change us,” Trump said. “That’s not going to happen. Instead, we’re changing Washington and we are changing it quickly and for the better.” (For more from the author of “Trump Celebrates 6 Months of ‘New Jobs, Bigger Paychecks, and Keeping More of Your Hard-Earned Money’” please click HERE)

States Sign Bill to Seize Guns, No Questions Asked

By The Daily Caller. Republican Gov. Charlie Baker signed a bill on Tuesday allowing for temporary gun confiscation without any due process in Massachusetts.

Bill H4670 enables a family or household member, which includes roommates, relatives or significant others, to remove firearms, firearm identification cards and ammunition from any individual deemed to be a danger to oneself or others. . .

Massachusetts is the 12th state to enact such gun seizure laws, according to Huffington Post. It is also the seventh state to do so since the February school shooting in Parkland, Florida. (Read more from “States Sign Bill to Seize Guns, No Questions Asked” HERE)

Massachusetts Passes ‘Red Flag’ Gun Control Law

By Washington Examiner. Legal Massachusetts gun owners who act violently or suicidal could lose the right to their firearms for a year under a bill signed into law Tuesday by Republican Gov. Charlie Baker.

These “red flag” laws, now passed in 12 states, let a family member, friend, or police officer petition a court to have a gun taken away from people who appear to show signs of endangering themselves or others. Medical advocates have rallied behind these “extreme risk protection orders” as a way to prevent suicides, two-thirds of which are carried out using firearms, as well as accidents and deaths caused by people with a mental illness or dementia.

“Massachusetts’ gun laws are a model for the nation, and creating an additional pathway to keep guns away from people unfit to possess them will make our laws even stronger,” Baker said in a statement. “This law creates a responsible way to help prevent gun deaths and suicides while protecting individuals’ Second Amendment rights.”

The law takes effect in 45 days and people who are subject to the order are allowed to appeal. Penalties are in place to prevent people from filing false accusations, but the Gun Owners Action League of Massachusetts, an NRA affiliate, has called the measure a “constitutional crisis.” Gun rights groups say these types of laws fail to address mental illness. Trump Trolls Media in Hilarious Tweet

President Donald Trump trolled the media on Tuesday in a hilarious tweet, mocking them for constantly looking for small grammatical mistakes.

“After having written many best selling books, and somewhat priding myself on my ability to write, it should be noted that the Fake News constantly likes to pour over my tweets looking for a mistake,” Trump tweeted. “I capitalize certain words only for emphasis, not b/c they should be capitalized!”

Bricks Through Windows: Anti-Trump Violence Heats Up

There’s been a storm of left-wing rhetoric and violence ever since President Trump was elected. All those Democrats talking about “resistance.” The antifa riots whenever a conservative speaker opened his mouth, and the destruction of property and rights that followed. Celebrities – remember? – they promised to move to Australia, or Canada or the moon.

It got worse recently when Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., reacting to the eviction of Trump spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders from a restaurant, said: “If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them! And you tell them that they are not welcome, anymore, anywhere.” . . .

In Nebraska, the Daily Caller said, vandals threw a brick through the window of the Nebraska Republican Party’s headquarters in Lincoln.

The report said, “Prominent Democrats across the country have been whipping up support for abolishing U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE), in an appeal to the party’s left-wing base.”

Kenny Zoeller, the state GOP’s executive director, said: “This destructive criminal activity is disappointing, but unsurprising, given the increasingly radical rhetoric of national Democrat leaders and candidates like Jane Raybould, Kara Eastman, and Jane Kleeb. Violence is the natural result of the left’s statements urging Democrats to literally ‘push back’ on Republicans and ‘resist’ at any cost. Voters face a stark choice between sanity and the rabid, hateful words that sparked this vandalism.” (Read more from “Bricks Through Windows: Anti-Trump Violence Heats Up” HERE)

Bid to Split California Into 3 States Gains Traction – Could It Really Happen?

In a midterm season marked by primary upsets and the prospect of Democrats claiming a congressional check on President Trump’s power, another sensational development has been the momentum behind a ballot measure to split up the unwieldy, high-tax state of California. . .

Californians shouldn’t worry about getting their driver’s licenses redone quite yet – the initiative has plenty of hurdles to surmount, even if it beats the odds and is approved by voters in November. . .

“This is about people who want California to be fixed and saved and this is the way to do it,” Grande told Fox News. “We have crumbling infrastructure, dirty water and failing schools. In almost every statistic, 49 states are doing better.” . . .

California’s freewheeling initiative process allows voters to enact a law bypassing the state legislature. However, Article 18 of the state constitution makes a distinction between an “amendment” and “revision” to that document.

That distinction could determine whether Cal3, if successful at the polls, is held up at the state level. While an “amendment” would be a relatively minor change that citizens could enact, a “revision” would be a major change requiring either an act of the legislature or a state convention. D.C. Passes Law Requiring People to Buy Health Insurance or Have Their Property Seized

Just when you think the move for government control of health care couldn’t get any worse, somehow it manages to. Last Wednesday, the District of Columbia City Council approved a requirement for all DC residents to purchase health insurance. The mandate would take effect in January, right when the federal mandate penalty drops to $0, as per last year’s tax law.

The D.C. mandate contains three elements that make it just as bad as, if not worse than, the federal mandate it is intended to replace. . .

Suffice it to say that the district’s individual mandate did not attract much attention. Unlike last week’s initiative vote on raising wages for tipped workers, or the battle over “right-to-die” legislation in the nation’s capital, restoring the individual mandate has slipped below the news radar screen. Some online searching Thursday found no references to the D.C. Council’s mandate vote in the Washington Post, or (but for a brief blurb in Politico) other online news articles discussing recent developments.

A cynic might believe that the D.C. Council acted in such a low-key manner by design. The council did not approve the mandate as a stand-alone bill, but wrapped it into a 297-page Budget Support Act. That bill contains such unrelated provisions as an amendment regarding the Fort Dupont Ice Arena, technical corrections to a supermarket tax incentive program, and amendments regarding civic associations using public schools.

Likewise, a press release by the D.C. Council summarizing Wednesday’s meeting contained not a word about imposing the individual mandate, nor did the council website show any stand-alone votes on the mandate itself. This lack of disclosure pushed me to contact my council member, Charles Allen, to find out what had happened at the council meeting Wednesday. (Read more from “D.C. Uh-Oh: Here’s How Many People Say They’re Extremely Proud of Being American

According to Gallup, which has asked the question of Americans since 2003, the number of Americans who are “extremely proud” or “proud” of being American has hit a record low.

The poll says that 47 percent of people are “extremely proud” of being American. Another 25 percent say they are “very proud” of being American. . .

The decline is due at least in part to many Democrats changing their opinion about their pride in being American. Last year, 43 percent of Democrats said they were “extremely proud” of being American, but that percentage dropped by 11 points to 32 percent this year. . .

Whether Democrats’ recent dip in pride has something to do with President Donald Trump, it isn’t hurting his personal approval rating. A different Gallup poll shows that 45 percent of the public approves of the president, tying for the highest percentage of his term thus far.

Another poll showed that more than two thirds of Americans found the policy of family separation at the border “unacceptable.” Trump ended the policy soon after the poll was published. (Read more from “Here’s How Many People Say They’re Extremely Proud of Being American” HERE)

State Department Employee Pleads Guilty to Producing Child Pornography

An Alexandria man pleaded guilty today to production of child pornography.

According to court documents, over at least a two year period, Skydance MacMahon, 44, conspired with an adult in Canada to produce over a thousand sexually explicit images and videos of minor children in Canada. These images and videos were produced at the direction of MacMahon using Skype and hidden cameras. MacMahon distributed these image and video files to other users and consumers of child pornography by providing access to the files on his cloud storage services and also by directly sending the files to other users. In addition to the child pornography images and videos MacMahon himself created, he also received and possessed thousands of images and videos of child pornography.

During the time he committed these offenses, MacMahon was a Digital Media Administrator at the Foreign Services Institute of the U.S. Department of State in Arlington.

MacMahon pleaded guilty to conspiring to produce child pornography and producing child pornography. He faces a mandatory minimum of 15 years and a maximum penalty of 60 years in prison when sentenced on October 12. Actual sentences for federal crimes are typically less than the maximum penalties. A federal district court judge will determine any sentence after taking into account the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. Led by U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS), Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state and local resources to better locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.
