A former IRS contractor was convicted in 2023 of leaking the tax returns of Trump and other wealthy Americans to the media and received a five-year prison sentence.

Trump’s decision to withdraw the suit appeared to be linked to a move to create a $1.7 billion compensation fund for the Republican president’s political allies who were investigated under Democratic predecessor Joe Biden.

According to ABC News and other media outlets, Trump’s Department of Justice plans to create a so-called “Truth and Justice Commission” for individuals who believe they were unfairly pursued by the Biden administration.

This could include, for example, the hundreds of Trump supporters who were prosecuted for their involvement in the January 6, 2021 assault on the US Capitol, which sought to prevent congressional certification of Biden’s election victory. Cartel Gunman Kills 10 Family Members in Mexico, Including Toddler

Authorities in central Mexico are investigating the brutal murder of ten victims, including a 20-month-old child, at the hands of cartel gunmen. Authorities in Mexico claim the mass killing was in response to a family having forced one of the gunmen into a drug rehab center, from which he escaped.

The mass killing took place on Sunday, early morning, at a ranch near the city of Tehuitzingo, Puebla. According to initial reports from Mexico’s Excelsior, the attack took place when a group of gunmen pulled up to the ranch and began to tie up and kill several members of one family and three workers. The gunmen left before authorities arrived. One of the victims was identified as a young infant. The dead also included several minors.

In the aftermath, the Puebla Attorney General’s Office issued a series of statements revealing that the killing was targeted in nature and not directly tied to violence between criminal organizations. According to information published in Proceso, the killing is attributed to a man named Jose Alfredo “N” who had been sent to a drug rehabilitation center by his family. Another Democrat Takes a Page from the Murkowski Playbook: LA Woman Illegally Paid Homeless People to Register to Vote

A Marina Del Rey woman has agreed to plead guilty to bombshell charges that she paid homeless people on Skid Row to register to vote in a 20-year scheme tied to illegal petition signature collection.

She even let homeless people use her own address to register to vote — meaning mail-in ballots could be sent to her home, a plea agreement obtained by The California Post states.

Brenda Lee Brown Armstrong, 64, also known as “Anika,” took a plea deal for one felony count of paying another person to register to vote in a federal election, prosecutors announced Monday.

Prosecutors allege Armstrong targeted Skid Row because of its desperate large homeless population in a relatively small area who would easily accept the $2 or $3 offer she made them to sign the petition.

She worked as a petition collector for various vendors and individuals known as “coordinators,” who have not been named by prosecutors. The vendors would then pay Armstrong a set amount for each registered voters’ signature. Nick Kristof’s Israel Abuse Claims Spark Civil War at New York Times: ‘I’m sick of being embarrassed’

A civil war has erupted inside the New York Times over Nicholas Kristof’s explosive column alleging widespread sexual abuse of Palestinians by Israeli prison guards.

Staffers at the newspaper are questioning whether some of the most incendiary claims, including an allegation that Israel trains dogs to rape Palestinian detainees, would have ever cleared the paper’s newsroom standards, according to Puck News.

The internal backlash has grown so intense that one Times journalist vented to Puck: “I am sick of being embarrassed by the Opinion section.”

The controversy centers on Kristof’s May 11 opinion essay, “The Silence That Meets the Rape of Palestinians,” which included graphic allegations from Palestinian detainees who claimed they were sexually assaulted, raped with objects and abused by Israeli prison guards, interrogators and settlers.

The column immediately ignited outrage from pro-Israel critics, sparked denunciations from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and triggered threats of a libel suit against the Times. Regional intelligence officials believe Iran is preparing for the possibility that President Donald Trump could resume military strikes against the Islamic Republic as early as this week amid growing frustration with Tehran’s conduct and its refusal to abandon nuclear ambitions, Fox News reports.

According to the report, the prevailing assessment inside Iran is that Trump may decide to restart military action, leading Tehran to pursue what officials described as a strategy of “deception and delay” aimed at buying time and complicating any renewed military campaign.

The officials told Fox News that Iranian leaders believe they can stretch the crisis out for at least two more weeks, potentially making it more difficult for the US to restart military operations both politically and operationally.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Trump spoke on Sunday about developments with Iran. “For Iran, the Clock is ticking, and they better get moving, FAST, or there won’t be anything left of them. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE,” Trump wrote on Truth Social after the call.

Trump’s post featured a map of the Middle East and Central Asia, with the entire region overlaid with the pattern of the United States flag. The country of Iran is highlighted at the center of the map with a dozen red arrows pointing directly at the Islamic Republic. Later Trump said Iran “should be afraid” of him in an interview with Israel’s Channel 13. 

In response Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for Iran parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, said the United States must either accept Tehran’s conditions or “surrender to our missiles.”

Trump is expected to hold a Situation Room meeting with his top national security team on Tuesday to discuss options for military action.

Aside from the photo featuring the extraterrestrial figure, the posting spree heavily leaned into military, aerospace, and geopolitical themes. Another prominent AI graphic depicted Trump in outer space beneath a “Space Force” title, portrayed as overseeing orbital satellite operations and missile strikes. The digital blitz also included aggressive geopolitical commentary, featuring an edited map pointing arrows directly at Iran and an illustration of a US drone targeting Iranian fast boats captioned, “BYE BYE, Fast boats.” The online activity concluded with direct warnings toward Tehran regarding stalled negotiations over regional security, economic sanctions, and uranium stockpiles.

A drone hit the United Arab Emirates’ sole nuclear-power plant Sunday, risking a return to all-out war in the region — as President Trump warned Iran to agree to a peace deal soon or else.

Fire broke out at the perimeter of the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant when the drone struck an electrical generator outside the facility in what the UAE dubbed an “unprovoked terrorist attack.”

The attack came just as President Trump spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with both nations reportedly preparing to resume war with Iran after the Islamic republic rebuffed America’s latest peace proposal.

Trump to Kentucky on Massie: ‘Vote the Bum Out’

President Donald Trump called for Kentucky residents to vote Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) out of office on Tuesday, labeling him a “bum” and as being a “true negative force.”

In a post on Truth Social on Sunday, Trump pointed out that “Massie voted against Tax Cuts,” and the border wall. Trump described Massie as being “The Worst Republican Congressman in History.”

“Bad Congressman Tom Massie voted against Tax Cuts, the Border Wall, our Military and Law Enforcement,” Trump wrote. “Actually, he voted against almost everything that is good. The Worst Republican Congressman in History. Kentucky, vote the bum out on Tuesday. We can’t live with this troublemaker for another two years. He is a true negative force!!!”

Trump’s post comes as he has on several occasions rallied behind Massie’s primary opponent, Captain Ed Gallrein. Trump has described Gallrein as being “a true Patriot” and an American hero.

The convicted sex trafficker took advantage of her “highly unusual” relationship with the jail warden for the perks, according to private emails.

Whistle blower Noella Turnage, a former employee at Federal Prison Camp Bryan, was fired for sharing the emails related to Maxwell.

Turnage said: “What I can tell you is that the things that were being done for her were not common for any of the other inmates, not even the other high-profile inmates.”
