Ted Cruz Makes a Joke About Donald Trump for ‘Two Corinthians’ Gaffe

Republican presidential candidates Ted Cruz and Donald Trump are currently leading in nearly every poll across the nation, so it’s only natural that the two take shots at each other from time to time.

Trump recently misspoke by saying “two corinthians” rather than “second corinthians” at an event, and the ever-witty Cruz was right there to call him on his gaffe.

Here you go…

At an Iowa campaign event Monday, Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz cracked a joke on front-runner Donald Trump and his “two Corinthians” gaffe.

While answering a question at a town hall meeting, Cruz referred to a Bible verse from the book of 2 Chronicles. Before he could finish the verse, someone interrupted Cruz and said, “two Chronicles.”

Enrollment Growth in Obamacare Health Insurance Slower Than Expected

Reflecting slower than anticipated enrollment growth in health insurance purchased through the Affordable Care Act, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office has lowered its estimate of how many people will get coverage through the law in 2016.

In any given month this year, about 13 million people on average are now expected to be enrolled in a health plan purchased on a marketplace created by the law, often called Obamacare.

That is down from 21 million people previously estimated by the budget office, whose projections about the impact of legislation are closely watched by both parties in Washington. The lower enrollment number brings the budget office closer in line with the Obama administration, which scaled back its own enrollment targets for 2016, citing the difficulty of reaching new consumers who have not so far taken advantage of the marketplaces.

The insurance marketplaces, a key pillar of the health law, allow people who do not get coverage through an employer to shop among plans that must meet basic standards and cannot turn away customers with preexisting medical conditions. Trump Just Received Massive Endorsement That Will Have Black Lives Matter Howling

By Jack Davis. The National Black Republican Association endorsed Donald Trump Friday for president.

“As citizens who happen to be black, we support Mr. Trump because he shares our values,” said a statement from NBRA chair Frances Rice. “We, like Mr. Trump, are fiscally conservative, steadfastly pro-life and believers in a small government that fosters freedom for individuals and businesses, so they can grow and become prosperous.

“We are deeply concerned about illegal immigration, a major cause of high black unemployment, especially among black youth. Black Americans across America are beginning to wake up and see clearly the reality of what is happening in black neighborhoods.

“Democrats have run black communities for the past 60 years and the socialist policies of the Democrats have turned those communities into economic and social wastelands, witness Detroit, Baltimore and South Chicago.

“We believe that Mr. Trump has demonstrated that he can push back against the mainstream media, end political correctness and free black communities from the destructive grip of socialist Democrats.” (Read more from “Trump Just Received Massive Endorsement That Will Have Black Lives Matter Howling” HERE)

Trump’s Boast: Blacks Will Like Me Better Than Obama

By Howard Kurtz. Donald Trump is making a bold prediction about black voters.

In an interview airing Sunday on Fox’s “Media Buzz,” Trump told me there is already great affection for him in the black community.

“Look, the African Americans love me because they know I am going to bring back jobs,” he told me at the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas.

Okay, a pretty standard Trumpian boast. But then he said this:

“They are going to like me better than they like Obama. The truth is Obama has done nothing for them.” (Read more from “Trump’s Boast: Blacks Will Like Me Better Than Obama” HERE)

‘McLaughlin Group’ Host Just Made a Huge Prediction About What the FBI Will Do to Hillary Over Email Scandal

By Ian Hanchett. Chicago Tribune Editorial Board member Clarence Page and “McLaughlin Group” host John McLaughlin predicted the FBI will recommend Democratic presidential candidate former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton face prosecution for mishandling classified information on Friday.

Hillary’s Team Copied Intel off Top-Secret Server to Email

By Paul Sperry. The FBI is investigating whether members of Hillary Clinton’s inner circle “cut and pasted” material from the government’s classified network so that it could be sent to her private e-mail address, former State Department security officials say.

Clinton and her top aides had access to a Pentagon-run classified network that goes up to the Secret level, as well as a separate system used for Top Secret communications.

The two systems — the Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) and Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS) — are not connected to the unclassified system, known as the Non-Classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet). You cannot e-mail from one system to the other, though you can use NIPRNet to send e-mails outside the government.

Somehow, highly classified information from SIPRNet, as well as even the super-secure JWICS, jumped from those closed systems to the open system and turned up in at least 1,340 of Clinton’s home e-mails — including several the CIA earlier this month flagged as containing ultra-secret Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Access Programs, a subset of SCI. Trump Just Made a Ridiculous Claim About the ‘Loyalty’ of His Supporters

Donald Trump is so confident about the loyalty of his supporters that he predicted Saturday they would stick with him even if he shot someone.

The Republican presidential front-runner bashed conservative commentator Glenn Beck’s support of rival Ted Cruz and welcomed a figure from the GOP establishment, Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa, in rallies nine days before the Iowa caucuses open voting in the 2016 campaign.

“I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn’t lose any voters, OK?” Trump told an enthusiastic audience at a Christian school, Dordt College. “It’s like incredible.”

Beck campaigned for Ted Cruz and held little back in going after Trump. “The time for silliness and reality show tactics has passed,” Beck charged at a Cruz rally. He warned that a Trump victory in the Feb. 1 caucuses could have lasting consequences: “If Donald Trump wins, it’s going to be a snowball to hell.”

Trump demonstrated the extent to which some in the Republican establishment have begun to accept a potential Trump nomination when Grassley introduced him at a later event in Pella.

Soldier From Bergdahl’s Company Just Dropped Bombshell About Bowe’s REAL Motivation for Leaving

While Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl has claimed that he left his post in 2009 to make an unauthorized trip to higher headquarters, one soldier who served with him says the accused deserter spoke of another reason at the time.

Bergdahl, 29, was arraigned at Fort Bragg, N.C., last month on charges of desertion and misbehavior before the enemy. The latter charge carries a potential life sentence, while the former can lead to the soldier’s imprisonment for up to five years.

Bergdahl left his post in Afghanistan in June 2009 and subsequently became a Taliban prisoner, until his release in May 2014 in exchange for the so-called “Taliban Five,” being held at the Guantanamo Bay.

During a panel discussion at the University of Alaska, Anchorage (UAA) on Thursday, former soldiers who served with Bergdahl, shared what they recalled about him and what they believe should happen to him now. The men were part of the 501st Infantry Regiment, based in Alaska, but deployed in Afghanistan in 2009.

Former Sgt. John Rice, a friend of Bergdahl, told the audience that the accused soldier spoke of wanting to spend time with the Taliban. “Bergdahl had said he wanted to essentially, not join the Taliban, but he wanted to be similar to a reporter that’s embedded in the Taliban and he wanted to write a book about it,” Rice said, according to local NBC affiliate KTUU. Sanders Attacks Hillary, Says She’s Running a ‘Desperate’ Campaign That Lacks Excitement

When Bernie Sanders entered the presidential race last spring, he was considered a fringe figure — an unapologetic independent whose “political revolution” would eschew campaign customs and center around his liberal agenda.

Now, with an upset over Hillary Clinton in next Monday’s Iowa caucuses potentially within his grasp, Sanders has emerged as a more combative — and in some ways, more conventionally political — candidate . . .

He also is attacking Clinton more directly, not only on policy differences but also on personal character, demonstrating that he has both the stomach and the punch for a political brawl — even one against the Clintons and their defenders.

The Sanders pivot was evident in an interview with The Washington Post on Saturday as he flew on a chartered jet — itself a change for a candidate who used to fold himself into the middle seats of Southwest Airlines planes — from his home in Burlington, Vt., to Iowa for his final week of campaigning here . . .

Over the course of The Post interview, Sanders said Clinton was running a “desperate” campaign incapable of generating the kind of excitement his has. He raised questions about her motives and character. He said he expects Clinton and her campaign to “throw the kitchen sink” at him in the coming week in what he described as a craven attempt to avoid an embarrassing loss in Iowa. Warning: The Rainbow Jihad Won’t Be Letting up in 2016

It already seems clear that 2016 isn’t going to just lay down and let 2015 be the most heinous year for assaults against religious liberty since the Salem Witch Trials.

Gotta hand it to the pagans. They know how to put their foot on the gas and keep it there when the on-ramp says “highway to hell straight ahead.”

The United States Department of Education has determined that religious taxpayers who pay the salaries of its employees need to be set aside for a special dose of Orwellian hazing. See, the Marxists’ plan on affixing scarlet letters—Christian schools that receive federal money will have their waivers for refusing to participate in the Rainbow Jihad posted online for public view.

In other words, conveniently listed for Rainbow Jihad target practice.

Sure, such a federal exemption was explicitly provided by a vote of Congress back in 1972, and there’s also that whole First Amendment thing to consider as well, but whatever, you bigot. Welcome to the intelligentsia’s black list! Joseph McCarthy called and said he wants his cowbell back.

Sadly, though, this new tactic isn’t even coming as a result of the latest rogue decision by a U.S. district court, but through nothing more than the encouragement of eight U.S. senators—Ron Wyden, Tammy Baldwin, Barbara Boxer, Al Franken, Edward Markey, Jeff Merkley, Patty Murray, and socialist-in-chief/presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders.

You mean you want to rob the country blind AND round up Christians for ritualistic shaming, Bernie? No wonder you are storming ahead in the polls among Democrats. That’s the leftist Full Monty right there.

And with brainwashed quislings like the Department of Education’s assistant secretary for civil rights, Catherine Lhamon, on your side, who needs accountability?

Otherwise known as “a basic search tool so that applicants, students, parents, and others can be better informed about which educational institutions have sought and/or received a religious exemption.”

Tyranny has never sounded so antiseptic and efficient. In fact, even America’s homeless population can’t escape the Rainbow Jihad’s bureaucratic blitzkrieg. I mean, did you think the progressives over at the Department of Housing and Urban Development were actually going to just lay down and let the educrats take the award for “Insufferable Public Servant of the Year” without a fight?

Those folks want to get rid of the rule that allows temporary emergency shelters to take sex into account when providing shared sleeping areas or bathrooms. Yep, as if the homeless don’t have it bad enough, now the women whose lives are in total disarray may also have to share close quarters with the guy who can’t get a job or stay sober but is absolutely certain he looks fantastic in the same blouse.

I know you may have no idea where your next meal is coming from, but you, too, will be made to care.

And not to be outdone, the feminist scolds over at the U.S. Navy are reviewing a proposal to take the “man” out of “midshipman” because a former female Marine Corps pilot said the change is needed so women feel welcome. After all, how am I supposed to focus on killing the enemy with so many trigger words floating around that make me want to kill my fellow American? C’mon, sailor, where’s my safe space?

But where, o where, does all this attention to detail go when it comes to responsibilities that are actually under the federal government’s constitutional umbrella, like enforcing our border? I know, queue up the laugh track.

Not only did Senate Democrats move to block legislation last week that would impose more stringent background checks on Syrian refugees, but the Washington Times reported the federal government doesn’t investigate 99 percent of the roughly 500,000 illegal immigrants who entered the country legally but overstayed their visas in 2015.

Among those who overstayed are thousands from countries connected with terrorism. But who cares. Your government has made its priorities clear.

It has Christians to hunt. (For more from the author of “Warning: The Rainbow Jihad Won’t Be Letting up in 2016” please click HERE)

Government Seeks Authority to ‘Determine What Is Sin’

By Bob Unruh. In its Supreme Court battle over Obamacare’s abortion-pill mandate, the government wants to “determine what is in fact a sin,” contends a religious-rights legal group.

The high court has agreed to hear the case of the Denver-based Little Sisters of the Poor nuns, who refused to comply with the requirement that the insurance policies for their employees cover abortion pills.

The nuns have refused to sign over the responsibility to their insurance company, arguing it also would be a violation of their faith to facilitate someone else committing a sin.

Now a friend-of-the-court brief submitted by the Thomas More Law Center on behalf of dozens of clients charges the government is seeking to become the arbiter of religious beliefs.

The group’s chief counsel, Richard Thompson, called the mandate “a monumental attack on religious liberty.” (Read more from “Government Seeks Authority to ‘Determine What Is Sin'” HERE)

Thomas More Law Center: The Supreme Court is NOT the Arbiter of Sacred Scripture

The Thomas More Law Center (TMLC), a national public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, yesterday, filed a friend of the court brief in the case of Zubik v. Burwell, in support of seven non-profit organizations including the Little Sisters of the Poor who claim they cannot comply with the Department of Health and Human Services’ mandate (“HHS Mandate”) because even the so called “accommodations” make them actively complicit in the sin of abortion. TMLC’s brief asserts that the Court is not the arbiter of sacred Scripture and, therefore, cannot determine whether or not an act constitutes a sin; it can only determine whether the government’s penalties for refusal to complete the sinful act are a substantial burden on religious liberty.

Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of TMLC, portrays this case as a potential turning point in American legal history, stating, “The HHS Mandate is a monumental attack on religious liberty. If this appeal is lost, the government becomes the head of every religious denomination in the country by its assumed authority to determine what is in fact a sin.”

The HHS Mandate requires religious non-profit organizations to participate in a government scheme to provide free contraceptives, including abortion causing drugs and devices (abortifacients), to their employees or face monumental fines that would result in closing the doors of most non-profit organizations that object to the HHS Mandate.

However, the HHS Mandate allows non-profit organizations like the Little Sisters to receive a so-called accommodation from directly providing free contraceptives and abortifacients to their employees. The accommodation requires the non-profit organizations to either (1) fill out a form as notice of their objection to contraceptives and abortifacients and provide that form to their insurers, which includes language instructing the insurers to provide free contraceptives and abortifacients to the women in the non-profits’ health plans, or (2) write and send a detailed letter to HHS with all of the information necessary to notify the non-profits’ insurers of their newfound obligation to provide free contraceptives and abortifacients to the women in the non-profits’ health plans.

These notification requirements trigger the non-profits’ insurers to provide free contraceptives and abortifacients to the women in the non-profits’ health plans. This notification requirement makes the non profits complicit in the provision of a service that they find sinful, thereby causing them to sin themselves.

TMLC’s brief argues, supported by a long line of Supreme Court precedent, that neither the government nor the Supreme Court can determine whether an act does or does not violate a person’s religious beliefs. Rather, the Supreme Court must accept the non-profits’ assertions that the notification requirement is indeed against their religion. To accept otherwise is to supplant the Church and the Bible with the government, allowing the Supreme Court and the government to interpret tenants of faith. This slippery slope would subject all religious exercise to the whim of the government’s approval.

See excerpts of the brief HERE explaining that the government seeks authority to define sin and why that is constitutionally impermissible.

New HHS Documents Reveal Security Concerns, Healthcare.gov Had No ‘Authorization to Operate’

[Earlier this week,] Judicial Watch released over 1,000 pages of new documents that show federal health care officials knew that the Obamacare website, when it launched in 2013, did not have the required “authorization to operate” (ATO) from agency information security officials. These documents, obtained from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), come in two productions of records: a 143-page production and an 886-page production. The email records reveal that HHS officials had significant concerns about the security of the Healthcare.gov site leading up to its October 1, 2013, launch.

Judicial Watch obtained the HHS documents in response to a court order in a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (No. 1:14-cv-00430)). The lawsuit was filed in March 2014, after HHS failed to respond to a December 20, 2013, FOIA request seeking the following information:

All records related to the security of the healthcare.gov web portal including, but not limited to, studies, memoranda, correspondence, electronic communications (e-mails), and slide presentations from January 1, 2012 to the present.

On September 21, 2013, 10 days before the launch of the Obamacare website, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Information Security Officer Tom Schankweiler discussed with Deputy Chief Information Officer Henry Chao 17 initial “moderate” security issues findings and two “high” security issues. Two high findings and 3 moderate findings were resolved, according to the documents. The emails also show that a separate security analysis found 17 “high” security issues, prompting Chao to ask, “What are we actually signing off on…?” Schankweiler responded that the numerous security issues resulted in CMS Security Officer Teresa Fryer’s refusing to approve the “ATO” (Authorization to Operate), something he indicated he found out belatedly.

The documents also show that on September 30, 2013, the day before the website launch, Blue Canopy, a contractor that was testing the security of the Healthcare.gov system, reported that the “parsing engine did not properly handle specially crafted messages.” The vendor added, “As a result, consumption of these messages would cause the service to crash.” (Read more from “New HHS Documents Reveal Security Concerns, Healthcare.gov Had No ‘Authorization to Operate'” HERE)
