Democratic lawmakers are planning to attend prayer services at a Washington-area mosque that has been accused of acting as a front for Hamas and that served as the home of terrorist spiritual leader Anwar al-Awlaki, who reportedly mentored two of the 9/11 hijackers.
On the heels of a deadly mass shooting by two Muslim individuals in San Bernardino, California, a group of Democratic lawmakers said they would attend Friday prayer services at the Dar al-Hijrah Mosque in Virginia, which has been linked to the financing of terrorists and where al-Awlaki served as the spiritual leader.
The Democrats set to attend include Reps. Don Beyer (D., Va.), Joseph Crowley (D., N.Y.), Betty McCollum (D., Minn.), Eleanor Holmes Norton (D., D.C.), and several Virginia state lawmakers, according to the New York Times.
Beyer told the Times that the visit could help diffuse tensions with the Muslim community in the wake of the San Bernardino attack and the recent terrorist massacre in Paris.
“After Paris and after the House resolution a few weeks ago, we just thought it was really important to continue to reiterate to the many, many peace-loving Muslim Americans that they were still a welcome part of our community,” Bayer said. John Guandolo, former FBI counter-terrorism special agent, author of Raising a Jihadi Generation, and site administrator of UnderstandingTheThreat, is making some shocking claims about who is actually advising the White House and senior leaders in the federal government on matters of national security.
Brietbart News Daily interviewed Guandolo on Friday. Guandolo reportedly told Breitbart that the “Islamic Society of North America (ISNA)—the largest Muslim Brotherhood organization here— is a Hamas funding entity.”
He said that the ISNA collaborates with the secretary of state and the National Security Administration, and briefs the FBI and CIA. ISNA’s former president, Mohamed Magid, works “very closely with the White House and sits on the Homeland Security Advisory Committee with a secret clearance.”
While he was an agent, Guandolo “came to understand very deeply the massive jihadi network we have in the United States” and learned that “the leaders of the Islamic organizations… were actually interfacing with government leaders and advising them with how to proceed in the war on terror, as it was called.”
In addition to advising senior members of the WH, the CIA, and the NSA, according to Guandolo, the Muslim Brotherhood maintains a financial institution here in the U.S. called the North American Islamic Trust. Guandolo states that of the over 2200 Islamic centers and mosques in the U.S., property records show that the North American Islamic Trust owns or holds the deeds to 75 percent of them.
He reported that the San Bernardino terrorists attended the Islamic Center of Riverside, a Muslim Brotherhood location. He said that other terrorists were linked to radical Islamic centers that are operated by the Muslim Brotherhood as well. The U.S. Air Force has fired off more than 20,000 missiles and bombs since the U.S. bombing campaign against ISIS began 15 months ago, according to the Air Force, leading to depleted munitions stockpiles and calls to ramp up funding and weapons production.
As the U.S. ramps up its campaign against the Islamist terror group in Iraq and Syria, the Air Force is now “expending munitions faster than we can replenish them,” Air Force chief of staff Gen. Mark Welsh said in a statement.
“B-1s have dropped bombs in record numbers. F-15Es are in the fight because they are able to employ a wide range of weapons and do so with great flexibility. We need the funding in place to ensure we’re prepared for the long fight,” Welsh said in the statement. “This is a critical need.”
The bombing campaign has left the U.S. Air Force with what an Air Force official described as munitions depot stocks “below our desired objective.”
The official told CNN that the Air Force has requested additional funding for Hellfire missiles and is developing plans to ramp up weapons production to replenish its stocks more quickly. But replenishing that stock can take “up to four years from time of expenditure to asset resupply,” the official said. (Read more from “The U.S. Is Running out of Bombs to Drop on ISIS” HERE)

The shocking sight of journalists storming into the apartment of the San Bernardino terrorists, less than 48 hours after the attack, was apparently allowed by the FBI, which handed the apartment back over to the landlord, who let the media in with a crowbar.
CNN had a reporter on the scene, but its own analyst Harry Houck was shocked, calling it a “screw-up.”
While the journalists’ behavior was disturbing, it fit a pattern: the Obama administration is careless about, or is reluctant to find, evidence of terrorism.
For example, the government has done almost nothing with the treasure trove of intelligence information it recovered during the raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound in May 2011. Stephen F. Hayes of the Weekly Standard has waged a lonely battle to force the government to take the intelligence seriously–intelligence that could disrupt terror networks and prevent future attacks around the world. “They haven’t done anything close to a full exploitation,” perhaps only 10%, he quoted one analyst in May 2015. Earlier today, the FBI revealed that Tashfeen Malik, the female Muslim immigrant behind the terror attack in San Bernardino, had expressed her allegiance to ISIS in a Facebook post during the attack.
Many on the right will immediately focus on the threat posed by ISIS. And undoubtedly ISIS is a big threat. But as I’ve pointed out before, ISIS is merely the latest reflection of the broader problem: rampant pan-Islamic supremacism throughout the Muslim world inspired by cyber-Jihad. This was unlikely a command-and-control style ISIS attack. This was an attack perpetrated by a Muslim extremist from Pakistan we let in through our front door just last year and granted a green card this past July.
Tashfeen Malik’s role in the San Bernardino attack demonstrates why why Islamic immigration in general is more of an existential threat than ISIS infiltration. It is also why vetting for ISIS terrorists is a complete non-sequitur to the issue at hand. Even if these individuals could be vetted for ties to professionally trained terrorists, investigators will miss the majority of Islamic terrorists who have not yet engaged in terror but harbor the views that will come to fruition after settling in America.
There is no way to vet strict Sharia adherence and ascertain if the immigrant truly hates our national and cultural values, or worse, will potentially engage in terror activity. As the Tashfeen story indicates, this is much larger than immigration from Syria or ISIS infiltration. Any number of devout Islamists throughout the Middle East could share the views of ISIS or Al Qaeda; inspiring them to commit terror attacks on our soil once we credulously let them through our front door.
This is the exact modus operandi Al Qaeda has encouraged in their Inspire magazine. They have largely moved beyond command-and-control infiltration attacks and are encouraging individual Jihadis living or emigrating to western countries to carry out attacks. It’s no surprise this terror couple had followed the blueprint of bomb making detailed in Inspire magazine.
Before Thanksgiving, I posted a report showing how we’ve admitted 680,000 immigrants from predominantly Muslim countries in the five years between 2009 and 2013. We also bring in over 150,000 foreign students from that region every single year. The trajectory for both is growing faster than any other origin of immigration.
What is so disconcerting is that the government has not published any data since 2013 and has still refused to release the 2014 DHS yearbook on immigration statistics. So the American people have quite literally no idea how many security threats we have admitted from the Middle East over the past two years. Likewise, the public does not know how many other Tashfeen Malik’s got through the same counter-terrorism screenings she did. There is no monthly data on green cards that is publically available.
How many more Tashfeens are there among the 200,000 immigrants we’ve admitted from Pakistan since 2001?
Sadly, it appears that Republicans have no intention to address even the Syrian refugee issue in the upcoming budget bill, much less the broader problem of immigration. (For more from the author of “How Many Tashfeen Maliks Have We Brought In?” please click HERE)

Texas has gone to federal court in its efforts to keep Syrian refugees out of the state, filing suit against the federal government and a refugee resettlement nonprofit.
In a lawsuit filed Wednesday afternoon in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Attorney General Ken Paxton claims the federal government and the International Rescue Committee — one of about 20 private nonprofits that have a state contract to resettle refugees in Texas — are violating federal law by moving forward with the planned resettlement of two Syrian families. One such family is expected to arrive in Texas as soon as Friday.
The lawsuit argues that the federal government and resettlement group have not fulfilled their contractual obligations to consult with, and provide information to, state officials.
It argues that federal officials violated the Refugee Act of 1980, which requires that the federal government “shall consult regularly” with the state regarding the placement of refugees. Texas also alleges that the International Rescue Committee violated a separate provision of the act requiring the nonprofit work “in close cooperation and advance consultation” with the state.
The suit, filed in the Dallas-based federal court, asks for a temporary injunction barring any Syrian refugees until terms of the contract are met. The case has been assigned to U.S. District Judge David C. Godbey, a George W. Bush appointee. (Read more from “U.S. State Sues to Block Syrian Refugees” HERE)
[Earlier this week,] the so-called “Toughest Sheriff in America” said he cannot guarantee the public’s safety and called on them to take matters into their own hands if necessary.
“I’m just talking about the areas where you have large crowds and someone pulls out the gun and starts shooting. Maybe somebody with a concealed weapon takes the guy down,” Arpaio said.
Specifically, Arpaio was looking to the 250,000 Arizonans who carry concealed weapons permits to help keep the peace . . .
Arpaio referred to the terrorist group ISIS, or ISIL, as a reason gun owners should be on the lookout. He also spoke about the Colorado man accused of killing three people at the Planned Parenthood last week . . .

Louie Gohmert proposed arming more citizens after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Connecticut where 20 school children and six adult staff members were killed. That’s how many pages, days, and Democrats, respectively, it took to pass the behemoth set of education and highway bills on Thursday.
The fact every single House Democrat voted for these bills, despite only having two days to read it, tells you everything you need to know. That any member would have read the 2,360-page liberal wish list—which is longer than the epic War and Peace, double the length of the Bible, and equal to 70 copies of Dr. Seuss’ Green Eggs and Ham—is doubtful.
The $305 billion highway bill fully extends failed federal control over surface transportation and sinks another $70 billion bailout into the trust fund with no reforms to mass transit. Yet, only 65 House Republicans voted to stop it. The Senate faired just as poorly, voting 83-16 to approve the highway bill, sending it to President Obama for his signature. Only 14 Republicans voted against it.
The education bill is an even greater monstrosity. It codifies the failed No Child Left Behind program, creates a new government run nursery program, reauthorizes federally-mandated testing through 2020, and prevents the next president from doing anything on these issues for the first years of the next administration.
However, more troubling than every single House Democrat voting for these bills is that Republicans, who have a majority in both Houses didn’t only fail to stop them—they authored them! The House easily passed the bill this week with only 64 Republicans opposed.
How ironic that Congressional Republicans chose to reauthorize and expand government control over education, while the conservative base consistently chooses Republican candidates who oppose Common Core, standardized test, and closing the Department of Education.
The American people don’t need another reminder that the majority they handed to Republicans has less spine and tenacity than Harry Reid and President Obama’s fractured minority party.
Maybe 70 copies of Green Eggs and Ham would do less damage to the taxpayers’ wallet than the cutely coined Every Student Achieves Act (ESA).
For those conservatives disappointed by the corrupt, ineffective education policies that have left our schools failing and our children behind, the wait for change will only continue.
And if there is anything we’ve learned about Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, and Republican leadership, it is that they are more than happy to wait. So long as the Democrats are happy and they are not forced to elicit their ire. (For more from the author of “GOP Bankrolls Govt Takeover of Education and Transportation” please click HERE)
A sociologist with no training in the physical sciences is puzzled why most Americans think the world is not doomed by global warming. So flummoxed is Yale’s Justin Farrell that he decided to study the question in the most scientific way possible. And he managed to publish his results, “Corporate funding and ideological polarization about climate change,” in the prestigious Proceedings of the National Academy of Science.
What do you think his conclusions were? Perhaps that thirty years of failed temperature predictions boosted Americans’ skepticism? Or that the obvious eagerness of politicians to leverage exaggerated fears have left many skittish? Or maybe it’s the dearth of severe storms, despite the many promises that floods and droughts would drown and parch us all?
No, none of that. Farrell discovered that private groups spent their own money to say that things were not as bad as alarmists claimed. He told TheWashington Post that these “contrarian efforts have been so effective for the fact that they have made it difficult for ordinary Americans to even know who to trust.” Indeed, I, myself a climate scientist, no longer trust anything non-scientists like Farrell tell me about global warming (which he incorrectly calls “climate change”).
Farrell is right about one thing: Global warming alarmism is big business. On one side you have Greenpeace, the Sierra Club, The Nature Conservancy, World Wildlife Fund, Environmental Defense Fund, The Climate Project and dozens upon dozens of other non-governmental organizations who solicit hundreds of millions from private donors and from government, and who in turn award lucrative grants to further their agenda.
You also have the Environmental Protection Agency, the National Science Foundation, the National Institute of Health, the Departments of Commerce and Agriculture, both Houses of Congress and many more government agencies, spraying global warming money at anything that moves and at staggering rates — billions of dollars.
And then you also have every major and minor university — with contributions from every department, from Critical Literature Theory to Women’s Studies — all with their hands out and eager to provide the support Greenpeace, the government and others desire. Add to that another two or three dozen think tanks which are also sniffing for grants or which support government intervention to do the impossible and stop the earth’s climate from changing.
Every scientific organization which is dependent on grant money has released a statement saying “something must be done” about global warming. They’re supported, fawned over and feted by just about every news and media agency. And don’t forget the leadership of most major organized religions have their own statements — and their hands out.
We’re not done: we still have to add the dozens of Solyndra-type companies eager to sell the government products, to get “green” subsidies or to support its global-warming agenda. Included in that list are oil companies. Oil companies?
Yes. Oil giants aren’t foolish. They want to benefit — and also don’t want to suffer from — the mania that surrounds all things climate change. Their activities are often mercenary: Oil companies will and do fund research that casts a bad light on coal, its main competitor, in hopes of lessening competition but also in expectation of securing peace with activist groups.
For instance, ExxonMobil recently pledged to give Stanford University “up to $100 million in grant money over 10 years to support climate and energy research.” As reported by the website No Tricks Zone:
Four big international companies, including the oil giant ExxonMobil, said yesterday that they would give Stanford University $225 million over 10 years for research on ways to meet growing energy needs without worsening global warming … In 2000, Ford and Exxon Mobil’s global rival, BP, gave $20 million to Princeton to start a similar climate and energy research program …
Shell Oil since 1999 handed out $8.5 million in environmental grants. Like ExxonMobil, many grants flowed to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, but $1.2 million went to the Nature Conservancy; the remainder was spread to several different environmentally-minded groups.
According to The Washington Times British Petroleum regularly gave to several environmental groups, such as “Nature Conservancy, the World Wildlife Fund, the World Resources Institute, various branches of the Audubon Society, the Wildlife Habitat Council.” It’s important to understand that these groups accepted the money BP gave them. The Washington Post confirms the Nature Conservancy pocketed over “$10 million in cash and land contributions from BP and affiliated corporations.”
Joanne Nova has documented the massive amount of money pouring from government into the pockets of individuals and groups associated with the environment. “The U.S. government has provided over $79 billion since 1989 on policies related to climate change, including science and technology research, foreign aid, and tax breaks.” $79 billion.
And Farrell, our stalwart sociologist, nabbed $126,000 from the EPA between 2012 and 2014, and another $18,500 from the National Science Foundation to study the environment and society. Doubtless he will be similarly rewarded in the future. Funny he never mentioned his funding, nor the funding of all those pushing scenarios of the world’s end.
All that is on one side. And on the other? Well, there’s a handful of privately funded think tanks, a smattering of generous individuals and businesses, a journalist here and there, and (ahem) a few skeptical scientists scratching what living they can, all trying vainly to tell the world that the sky isn’t falling and that government intervention isn’t needed.
In the interest of full disclosure, the total amount of any consideration I have ever received from any oil company, or any oil company affiliate, is, rounded to the nearest dollar, $0. But it was in cash. Skepticism of environmental apocalypse does not pay. (For more from the author of “There’s Big Money in Global Warming Alarmism” please click HERE)

How many deaths are socially acceptable before we stop the suicidal political correctness and the self-immolation of our immigration policies?
Once again, we appear to have a homegrown jihadist who was a devout adherent to Sharia, perpetrating a terror attack on American soil. Over the past few weeks, I’ve written dozens of articles detailing the shocking amount of immigrants and foreign students we have admitted over the past two decades and, in particular, the past few years. This terror attack serves as the latest example of why it is nothing short of suicidal to continue importing more Sharia-adherents fresh from the Middle East to our shores without first dealing with the problems we already have from homegrown Islamic supremacism. And it also demonstrates how this runs much deeper than vetting immigrants for direct ties to ISIS.
The two suspects were an American Muslim, Syed Farook, and his wife, Tashfeen Malik. While we have yet to learn the ethnicity of Syed Farook, media reports have indicated Tashfeen Malik is a foreign national of Pakistan. The authorities have been amazingly slow to release the information on Malik, but the LA Times is indicating she was from Saudi Arabia.
How in the world are we going to empower moderate Muslims and stamp out radical Islam at home if we are bringing in 680,000 immigrants from the Middle East and hundreds of thousands of foreign students from the Middle East every few years?
The Left is so focused on violating the Constitution by pursuing a gun control policy that doesn’t work and banning inanimate objects under the guise of eliminating “assault weapons.” Yet, they refuse to use the perfectly legitimate constitutional tool of not bringing in ‘assault people’ to our country in the first place.
This terror plot, from the information we know thus far, proves the point many of us have been making for a number of years. The growing importation of Muslims into western countries in conjunction with the success of cyber jihad has transcended any natural progression of assimilation and has posed an existential threat to western civilization. Farouk was not a disadvantaged youth. He evidently had a good government job as an “environmental specialist” that even offered paternity leave. He was born in this country. What are we to expect from a number of Islamic immigrants who have recently arrived in this country?
The fact that this attack was likely not planned by a terror organization makes this even more ubiquitously dangerous and proves our broader point. You could theoretically vet professionally trained terrorist infiltrators to a certain extent but you can never vet the mentality of so many of these Sharia-adherent immigrants we have brought to our shores. And you can’t count on them assimilating with the assumption that the American Dream would allure them away from Jihad. This couple was said to have been living the American Dream. We also learn from here that we cannot assume the problem of Jihad is limited to Muslim males.
The Homegrown Muslim Brotherhood Problem
There’s another important ingredient to dissect in this case. Why did CAIR, which is an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation terror case and designated as an arm of Hamas by the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, jump out ahead of the FBI and give a bizarre and creepy press conference? And how did they get ahold of the brother-in-law of Farook so quickly? And why did they bring the brother-in-law if he was unwilling to answer basic questions about his relationship with the suspect?
That we would have an arm of Hamas deliver the first major press conference should scare all Americans. Having groups affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood serve as the spokesgroup for American Muslims instead of shutting them down will go a long way in fostering the homegrown radicalization and marginalizing legitimate moderates. Muzammil Siddiqi, one of the attendees at the CAIR presser, once hosted a lecture by Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, the “blind sheikh” who was involved in planning the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Talk about the fox guarding the hen house!
Our nation will soon be on the fast path to Europe if we don’t contain the problem by calling for a cool off period on new immigration from the Middle East and work on rooting out the jihadists who already live here. The latter agenda item would mean that all non-citizen immigrants who are preaching hatred towards American should be deported and all citizens who give material support to terrorists should be stripped of their citizenship through due process. This is not, at its heart, a foreign policy problem, it’s a political correctness and immigration problem. Our political class will either learn this lesson now or after the problem is already immutable as it is in some European countries.
Shortly after the terror attack, Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT), thinking that this was about guns and not Islamic terror, scoffed at those who were praying and asserted that the only prayers that should be offered are by those who refuse to take action.
Your "thoughts" should be about steps to take to stop this carnage. Your "prayers" should be for forgiveness if you do nothing – again.
While his comments are certainly repulsive, he inadvertently stumbled upon one truth. It is time for our politicians to take action on behalf of our Sovereignty, Security, and Society.
Let’s roll. (For more from the author of “San Bernardino Terror: The Islamic Jihadists Among Us” please click HERE)
