Obama to ask for debt limit hike: Treasury official

The White House plans to ask Congress by the end of the week for an increase in the government’s debt ceiling to allow the United States to pay its bills on time, according to a senior Treasury Department official on Tuesday.

The approval is expected to go through without a challenge, given that Congress is in recess until later in January and the request is in line with an agreement to keep the U.S. government funded into 2013.

The debt is projected to fall within $100 billion of the current cap by December 30, when the United States has $82 billion in interest on its debt and payments such as Social Security coming due. President Barack Obama is expected to ask for authority to increase the borrowing limit by $1.2 trillion, part of the spending authority that was negotiated between Congress and the White House this summer.

Under the agreement struck in August during the showdown over the government’s debt limit, the cap is automatically raised unless Congress votes to block the debt-ceiling extension. Lawmakers have 15 days within receiving the request to vote, which is largely symbolic because the president can veto it and Congress would be unlikely to muster the two-thirds majority to override it. Moreover, the U.S. House of Representatives also is in recess until January 17.

The deal called for raising the debt ceiling by $2.1 trillion to serve the nation’s borrowing needs into 2013 and also included mandatory cuts to the federal budget deficit. Since then, the extension has been increased twice by a total of $900 billion.

Occupy hacking group “Anonymous” plans for “violent revolution,” warns of “bloody mess”

The hackers known as “Anonymous,” who helped organize and support the Occupy movement’s protests, have released an online a survivor guide for citizens “in case of a violent revolution in your country.”

The guide warns protests can be a “bloody mess.” It trains rioters on how to avoid tear gas, rubber bullets and live ammunition.

The 15-page PDF document claims police will not help protesters and may actually be enemies of the revolution while warning that protest groups may be infiltrated by “fake civilians.”

The Anonymous survival guide was published just before the hacker group claimed Sunday to have stolen thousands of credit card numbers and other personal information belonging to clients of U.S.-based security think tank Stratfor.

Anonymous has promised more infiltrations and hacker jobs, saying it has “enough targets lined up to extend the fun fun fun of LulzXmas through the entire next week.”

Obama on track to raise a record $200 MILLION this year for 2012 re-election campaign

The 2012 election is set to become the priciest in history, with the Obama campaign predicting it has raised $60 million in the fourth quarter of this year alone.

The president’s re-election campaign and the Democratic National Committee raised roughly $155 million through the end of September.

If it reaches its aim for this quarter, the campaign will have surpassed the staggering $200 million goal for the year, a campaign official said.

It means the campaign is well on its way to raise the total target of $750 million – the same amount they raised in the successful 2008 bid for the presidency.

Obama headlined 15 campaign fundraising events in the fourth quarter, according to Reuters.

Gingrich ’06 Memo: “Agree Entirely With Gov. Romney” on Health Care

To conservatives, the biggest strike against Mitt Romney is the health care plan he put in place in Massachusetts, but Newt Gingrich lavished praise on Romney’s plan after it was passed in 2006.

“We agree entirely with Governor Romney and Massachusetts legislators that our goal should be 100 percent insurance coverage for all Americans,” Gingrich wrote in 2006.

And, Gingrich wrote, the key to achieving that goal was doing what Romney did in Massachusetts: Requiring everybody who could afford it to buy health insurance. In fact, Gingrich makes an impassioned case for the so-called individual mandate — which is also at the center of President Obama’s health plan — on conservative grounds.

“We also believe strongly that personal responsibility is vital to creating a 21st Century Intelligent Health System,” Gingrich wrote in the memo which was found on an old Gingrich website by the Wall Street Journal’s Brody Mullins and Janet Adamy.

”Individuals who can afford to purchase health insurance and simply choose not to place an unnecessary burden on a system that is on the verge of collapse; these free-riders undermine the entire health system by placing the onus of responsibility on taxpayers.”

How far Barack Obama and Eric Holder have subverted American freedoms

We know that Eric Holder is a liar and a criminal facilitator based on what we have learned about his conduct in the Fast and Furious crimes. We are now finding out Holder has been a Democrat “cleaner” and cover up artist for as far back as the Oklahoma City bombing and maybe Waco and Ruby Ridge as well. Holder is a despicable excuse for a human being and that is why Obama appointed him.

We should have recognized this lowlife’s traits when he not only refused to prosecute “his people” the armed Black Panthers who intimidated Whites attempting to vote, but hounded and harassed any of his deputies who attempted to bring them to justice.

This criminal posing as our Attorney General and his equally anti American boss in the White House have succeeded in turning the purpose of the Department of Justice (DoJ) 180 degrees away from its original mission.

What has been lost in history and smothered by the Democrat controlled media is that when the Republican controlled Congress established the DoJ in 1871 its specific purpose, as outlined by Republican President U.S. Grant, was to fight the Democrats in the Ku Klux Klan who were intimidating and murdering the recently freed African American former slaves living in the Southern States.

At that time we saw Grant, a White Republican President, appoint Amos Akerman a White Attorney General, and instruct him to use the power of the federal government against the Democrat Party’s KKK to enforce the 15th Amendment which gave freed slaves the right to vote.

Obama’s Policies Could Cause a Second U.S. Credit Downgrade

Barack Obama became the first president to preside over a downgrade of the U.S. credit rating. Now, he may cause a second.

Fitch Ratings has warned the United States it may downgrade the U.S. credit rating in 2013 if the nation does not take steps to balance its exploding national deficit. Without a “credible plan” to cut the deficit, the ratings agency warned in a statement, “the sovereign rating will likely be lowered by the end of 2013.”

“Federal debt will rise in the absence of expenditure and tax reforms that would address the challenges of rising health and social security spending as the population ages.”

Last month Fitch changed the U.S. outlook from “stable” to “negative.” Moody’s Investors Service also warned of a looming downgrade because of the nation’s massive debt load.

In August Standard & Poor’s downgraded the U.S. credit rating from its highest level, AAA, to the next lower rating, AA+. S&P warned this new status could last until at least 2029, even if a perfect plan is implemented — and one is not on the horizon.

Obama’s 2012 Chances Slipping Away with Two Key Democratic Groups

The results of a USAToday/Gallup survey of thousands of registered voters in Barack Obama’s twelve must-have states presents bad news for him and his party. However, true to form for the Democrat-boosting media, the worst of the news was buried. Initial online versions left out critical portions of the story, and the truth was only available in the newsstand version of the article.

The survey showed Republicans are more engaged in following the issues of next year’s election than Democrats by a stunning 20 points (68 percent to 48 percent).

As new party registration data underscore, voters are turning away from the Democrats in these swing states. Since 2008, those identifying as Democrats has shrunk by four points, and those declaring themselves Republicans has risen five points. Even if everything else were equal, this factor alone could spell doom or Obama.

Nevertheless, the really bad news is the level of enthusiasm being expressed by various voting groups towards next year’s election. This “enthusiasm index” is toxic for Obama. Each year since 2006, including this past November’s handful of local elections, the enthusiasm index has pointed to the eventual electoral outcomes.

Among 18-to-34 year-olds just 32 percent are enthused about voting (50 percent voted in 2008, two-thirds of them for Obama).

Left Celebrates Navy Encouraged Lesbian Kiss

This picture speaks a thousand words about how Barack Obama has changed the US Military. Once a conservative institution focused on protecting America, Obama has twisted it with social experiments and the promotion of his left-wing agenda.

Once Sodomy was illegal, now homosexuality is actively encouraged. This report from the LA Times tell the story. This kiss was staged for the media. We all should be deeply saddened:

A public embrace between two female sailors from California is being hailed as “the kiss heard ’round the world” by activists who fought for a repeal of the ban on gays and lesbians serving openly in the military.

Petty Officer 2nd Class Marissa Gaeta from Placerville shared a kiss with partner Petty Officer 3rd Class Citlalic Snell of Los Angeles on Wednesday as Gaeta’s ship, the amphibious landing ship Oak Hill, returned to base at Virginia Beach, Va., after an 80-day deployment to Central America.

“It’s something new, that’s for sure,” Gaeta, 23, told reporters after the kiss. “It’s nice to be able to be myself. It’s been a long time coming.”

Obama’s Uncle’s New Defense Is To Target Patrolman

Lawyers for President Obama’s illegal alien half-uncle are going after the beat cop who busted him on a drunken-driving rap, chasing internal affairs records they hope will paint him as a serial squad-car speeder.

Onyango Obama never would have been stopped and subjected to a breath test, which lawyers also are contesting, if it weren’t for the cop’s bad driving, his lawyers insist.

“It will be our contention that the officer nearly caused the accident by nearly hitting Obama,” defense attorney William L. Harvey III told the Herald, saying he believes patrolman Val Krishtal was going “well above the speed limit” at the time of the near-crash.

Obama’s attorneys said they want Framingham cops to cough up a paper trail on Krishtal, who, according to his own police report, nearly rear-ended the commander-in-chief’s long-lost relative before making the Aug. 24 stop heard ’round the world.

“What’s at issue is obviously the police officer’s course of conduct with regard to his speed, especially on that day he pulled Obama over,” Harvey said. “We’ve learned that there have been numerous incidents in Framingham with regard to his driving pattern as a police officer.”

Economy Grew More Slowly In Summer Than Thought

The U.S. economy grew more slowly in the summer than previously thought because consumers spent less than the government had first estimated. But economists expect growth in the current October-December quarter to be stronger.

The Commerce Department says the economy grew at an annual rate of 1.8 percent in the July-September quarter. That was the fastest growth this year, up from 1.3 percent in the April-June quarter. But it was down slightly from last month’s estimate that the economy was expanding at a 2 percent rate in the summer.

The government now estimates that consumer spending grew at a 1.7 percent annual rate last summer, instead of 2.3 percent. The updated estimate reflects data showing less spending on hospitals.

Economists think the economy is growing at an annual rate of more than 3 percent in the final three months of this year. That would be the fastest pace since a 3.8 percent performance in the spring of 2010.

Among the positive factors are a brightening job market, strong holiday shopping, further gains in factory production and cheaper gas prices, which leave consumers with more money to spend on other items.
