‘They’re Gonna Pay for It’: A Single Texas Billionaire May Be About to Force Greenpeace USA Into Bankruptcy

The Texas billionaire owner of a major pipeline company is on the precipice of potentially bankrupting Greenpeace USA, The Wall Street Journal reported on Sunday.

Kelcy Warren’s company, Energy Transfer, is seeking legal recourse against Greenpeace’s American arm in court, alleging that several Greenpeace USA entities paid for attacks against the company’s Dakota Access Pipeline and proliferated misinformation about the firm and its project in 2016, according to the WSJ. At the time, the project was a flashpoint in the environmental movement’s crusade against major fossil fuel infrastructure developments, and it was ultimately completed in 2017.

“Everybody is afraid of these environmental groups and the fear that it may look wrong if you fight back with these people,” Warren said in a televised interview in 2017, according to the WSJ. “But what they did to us is wrong, and they’re gonna pay for it.”

Eco-activists flocked to the construction site of the pipeline in North Dakota in 2016 to try to stop the $3.8 billion project from being built, and clashes between the protesters and law enforcement occasionally turned violent, according to the WSJ. The lawsuit, which seeks $300 million in damages, would probably crush Greenpeace USA, though it does not pose such a threat to Greenpeace’s international operations because the organization’s main organizing body based in the Netherlands does not own assets in the U.S.

The company tried to sue in federal court first, and refiled the suit in a state court after a federal judge threw out the original litigation, according to the WSJ. Energy Transfer is pursuing the lawsuit under a law that was originally created to go after the mafia. Kamala Policy Page Touts DMZ Visit – Site of ‘Alliance With North Korea’ Gaffe – As Proof She Is ‘Ready’ on ‘Day 1’

Vice President Kamala Harris published a policy page on her official website Sunday promising she is “ready to be Commander in Chief on day one,” but she cited one of her most notorious foreign policy gaffes — claiming the United States has a “strong alliance” with North Korea — as evidence.

Harris’s presidential campaign debuted a slightly more detailed page of her stances on policy issues seven weeks after she replaced outgoing President Joe Biden at the top of the Democratic Party ticket. The page focuses heavily on her experience as a prosecutor and attorney general in California but also features a more limited explanation of her stances on international issues.

“Vice President Harris is ready to be Commander in Chief on day one,” her campaign states. “Vice President Harris has been a tireless and effective diplomat on the world stage.”

A prime example listed on the “issues” page is her visit to the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) in September 2022 in which she attempted to reassure the nascent government of conservative South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol of Biden’s commitment to supporting it against the persistent threat of a nuclear North Korea. Biden has not treated the Korean Peninsula as a foreign policy priority during his tenure. During his time in office, communist dictator Kim Jong-un has significantly expanded his influence internationally through broadening alliances with Russia and Iran.

Harris, her policy page states, “has met with China’s Xi Jinping, making clear she will always stand up for American interests in the face of China’s threats, and traveled to the Indo-Pacific four times to advance our economic and security partnerships.” (Read more from “Kamala Policy Page Touts DMZ Visit – Site of ‘Alliance With North Korea’ Gaffe – As Proof She Is ‘Ready’ on ‘Day 1’” HERE)

Californians Lose Power Again in Heat Wave Amid ‘Green Energy’ Push

California residents are once again struggling to keep the lights on after as many as 50,000 people lost electricity in a heat wave this past weekend that caused the famed Hollywood Bowl to cancel a concert due to the power outage.

The Hollywood Reporter noted:

The Hollywood Bowl was forced to cancel its Sept. 8 show due to a power outage.

The venue posted on its website that the concert, headlined by Vance Joy, had been called off.

The Reporter said that it was unclear what caused the outage, but KABC-7 blamed the heat:

The heat was affecting electrical equipment as utilities scrambled to dispatch crews.

That left many thousands of people without working air conditioning or refrigeration during one of the hottest days of the year.

Los Angeles Department of Water and Power crews were working as quickly as they could, restoring power to some 50,000 customers. But the wait can be miserable.

Donald Trump Pulls Ahead of Kamala Harris in Major Poll — a Sign Her Campaign is Fizzling; Trump Holds Lead With ‘Remarkably Resilient’ Support

By New York Post. For the first time in weeks, former President Donald Trump pulled ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris in one of the most-watched national polls — raising the prospect that her momentum has fizzled out just ahead of their debate.

Trump edged out Harris 48% to 47% among likely voters nationally, according to a New York Times/Siena College poll.

The poll mirrors the surveys from late July when Trump led Harris among likely voters just after President Biden dropped out of the race. Other polls have similarly begun to show the 45th president regaining ground against his rival weeks after the Democratic National Convention wrapped up.

Trump’s renewed razor-thin lead comes despite the fact that 70% of voters and 37% of those backing him felt that the 45th president had uttered something they found offensive.

Harris had surged in the polls across the board after getting jolted to the top of the ticket and captured the lead over Trump in the RealClearPolitics aggregate of polling. She also gained ground in the battleground state polls, which still remain largely a tossup. New Poll Shows Trump Holds Lead With ‘Remarkably Resilient’ Support

By Fox News. Former President Donald Trump is maintaining his lead nationally, seemingly shrugging off a burst of enthusiasm for Democrats after Vice President Kamala Harris entered the race.

Trump garnered the support of 48% of likely voters, compared to 47% who indicated support for Harris, according to the latest results of the New York Times/Siena poll released on Sunday.

The results are essentially identical to the last time the New York Times/Siena poll asked voters for their preference in the aftermath of President Biden dropping out of the race in late July, with that poll also showing Trump with a 48-47 lead.

The poll comes after weeks of increased enthusiasm for the Democratic ticket after Harris took over for Biden, though the New York Times argued that it appears Trump’s support is “remarkably resilient” to the stunning changes to the election landscape.

The poll found that Harris has yet to sell voters on her vision for the country, with 28% of respondents indicating that they felt like they needed to know more about her in order for her to earn their support. In contrast, only 9% indicated similar concerns about Trump. (Read more from “New Poll Shows Trump Holds Lead With ‘Remarkably Resilient’ Support” HERE)

Report: Mother of Alleged Apalachee High School Attacker Called, Warned School 30 Minutes Before Attack

A report from the Washington Post, confirmed by the Associated Press, claims the alleged Apalachee High School attacker’s mother warned the school of an “extreme emergency” half an hour before shots rang out.

The Associated Press (AP) reported that the 14-year-old attacker’s aunt, Annie Brown, said the boy’s mom “spoke with a school counselor and urged them to ‘immediately’ find her son to check on him.”

The Tennessee Star noted that the Post zeroed in on text messages that “show that the school and family were in contact about [the mental health of the 14-year-old].”

A week before the shooting, Brown had allegedly informed a relative that the alleged attacker was having “homicidal and suicidal thoughts.”

On September 5, 2024, the day after the Apalachee High School attack, the 14-year-old’s father, Colin Gray, was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter and second-degree murder, among other things. Russell Brand Kneels in Prayer at Tucker Carlson Event, Prays Against ‘Dark and Demonic Forces’

A barefoot Russell Brand knelt on the floor at the conclusion of an hour-long conversation with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson in Phoenix, Arizona, on Wednesday, and prayed against the “dark and demonic forces” in government and corporate America.

The British actor also asked that the upcoming 2024 presidential election would provide an opportunity for “unity” in the United States.

Kicking off the first of Carlson’s multi-stop live national tour this month that will feature various guests ranging from Donald Trump Jr. to Roseanne Barr, Carlson spoke at length to Brand about the comedian’s newfound Christian faith and how it has affected his worldview. . .

“We haven’t talked about this — and I mean this in the most open possible way, not everyone’s going to share your beliefs or my beliefs — but would you close in prayer?” Carlson asked.

“I call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, our heavenly Savior,” Brand prayed after hopping from his chair to kneel on the stage. “Lord, I humbly [ask] in this great congregation in Phoenix, Arizona, with my host, Tucker Carlson, in deference to him, but in ultimate deference to you, our Lord and Savior, to whom we are all your younger siblings and your children.”

Elon Musk Claims He Just Activated the World’s Most Powerful AI Supercomputer

Behold Colossus: Elon Musk’s new supercomputer, allegedly powered by a staggering 100,000 Nvidia AI chips, which would be more than any single AI system on the planet.

Built in Tennessee for his artificial intelligence startup xAI, Musk announced Monday that the formidable data center was finally brought online over the Labor Day weekend, after spending just 122 days assembling it — a record, according to Nvidia.

“Colossus is the most powerful AI training system in the world,” Musk said in a tweet.

The supercomputer is built with Nvidia H100 graphics processing units, which are the industry’s most coveted pieces of hardware for training and running generative AI systems, such as AI chatbots and image generators.

And xAI’s current tally of them is just the beginning. Musk claimed that, in a few months, Colossus will “double” in size to 200,000 AI chips, which will include 50,000 H200 GPUs, a newer version that Nvidia says will have nearly twice the memory capacity as its predecessor, and 40 percent more bandwidth. Conservative YouTube Accounts Terminated Over Fear of Russian Influence

YouTube terminated the accounts of a conservative influencer and her media company Thursday evening, one day after the Justice Department indicated the company was tied to a Russian scheme to influence the 2024 election.

The accounts for Tenet Media and Lauren Chen were removed one day after Attorney General Merrick Garland held a press conference announcing an indictment of two Russians in an alleged scheme to influence the 2024 election. A note on Tenet Media’s channel states that it “violated our Community Guidelines” and Chen’s personal account on the Google-owned video site was listed as “not available” Friday morning.

The Justice Department claimed that individuals tied to Russian media outlet RT provided $10 million to promote accounts at a U.S.-based media outlet that had only 16 million views across 2,000 videos. The Justice Department did not name Tenet, but multiple news outlets have confirmed it was the company named in the indictment.

Tenet Media’s talent includes podcasters Tim Pool, Benny Johnson, Dave Rubin, and Lauren Southern, according to its website. The personal YouTube pages for Rubin, Johnson, Pool, and Southern were still available Friday.

The DOJ’s assertions in the indictment have been viewed skeptically by some conservatives, who noted the claims that Russia colluded with former President Donald Trump during his successful 2016 campaign for the White House. The Steele Dossier, which was used to further allegations of collusion, was later discredited.

‘White Fragility’ Author Robin Diangelo Gets Tricked Into Paying Reparations to Matt Walsh’s Producer in ‘Am I Racist?’ Documentary

“White Fragility” author Robin DiAngelo was hoodwinked into dipping into her own pocketbook to pay reparations to a black producer in podcaster Matt Walsh’s upcoming documentary “Am I Racist?”

An undercover, man-bun-wearing Walsh, 38, goaded DiAngelo into ponying up cash to his producer named Ben to compensate for the sins of the past by first coughing up the money himself.

Walsh, who had been conducting an interview with DiAngelo for a documentary project while feigning anti-racist sentiments and posing as an activist, summoned Ben after finishing up most of his questions.

“This is Ben, a producer on the film. I thought it would be a powerful opportunity to speak directly to a person of color and confront our racism and also, apologize for the white supremacist systems that oppress Ben,” Walsh began.

DiAngelo, 68, followed suit saying, “On behalf of myself and my fellow white people, I apologize — it is not you, it is us. As long as I’m standing, I will do my best to challenge it.” (Read more from “‘White Fragility’ Author Robin Diangelo Gets Tricked Into Paying Reparations to Matt Walsh’s Producer in ‘Am I Racist?’ Documentary” HERE)

Alan Dershowitz Leaves Democratic Party, Cites DNC: ‘I Was Disgusted’

Prominent attorney Alan Dershowitz announced his departure from the Democratic Party, citing several “anti-Jewish” lawmakers that make up the ranks of the party and the recent Democratic National Convention in which Vice President Kamala Harris became the party’s presidential nominee.

Speaking with radio host Zev Brenner on “Talkline with Zev Brenner,” Dershowitz cited the DNC, which he said gave legitimacy to anti-Israel speakers, and anti-Israel protesters outside the gathering.

“It was the most anti-Jewish, anti-Israel, anti-Zionist convention I’ve experienced,” he said. “I was disgusted at the Democratic National Convention. Absolutely disgusted.”

“I am no longer a Democrat. I am an Independent,” he added, noting that he wouldn’t reveal whom he was voting for president until possibly after Nov. 1. “I want to see how they deal with Iran. I want to encourage the current administration to support Israel.”

The Harvard Law professor emeritus said his departure from the party was a long time coming and that he gradually resigned over time. (Read more from “Alan Dershowitz Leaves Democratic Party, Cites DNC: ‘I Was Disgusted'” HERE)
