RNC Withdraws Resolution to Declare Trump Nominee Following Backlash

A Republican National Committee member has withdrawn a draft resolution that would have declared former President Donald Trump the presumptive nominee in 2024 on Thursday following backlash and Trump’s own opposition.

Maryland RNC Committeeman Dave Bossie withdrew his resolution to declare Trump presumptive nominee after his wins in Iowa and New Hampshire and dominance over former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley in polls of the remaining states, a source familiar confirmed to the Washington Examiner.

The draft resolution claimed Haley had no mathematical path to the nomination and cited the need to prepare for a general election matchup with President Joe Biden.

When news broke of the proposed resolution, Haley spokeswoman Olivia Perez-Cubas responded, asking, “Who cares what the RNC says?”

“We’ll let millions of Republican voters across the country decide who should be our party’s nominee, not a bunch of Washington insiders,” she added.

Trans Clinic Whistleblower Has a Message for the Left

Jamie Reed, the former clinician who blew the whistle last year on a gender clinic in St. Louis, tells “The Daily Signal Podcast” that there are more whistleblowers out there, and she raises the alarm about the “totalitarian” mentality of large LGBTQ organizations that seek to silence those who disagree with them.

She also warns leaders on the Left that most Americans oppose rushing kids to medical “treatments” that will likely harm them.

“We were seeing systematic harms,” Reed says of the experimental medical interventions the clinic performed on children. However, “we were never stopping treatments.”

“In medicine, there should be this built-in ‘We did X, patient is worse, we need to consider stopping X,’” the whistleblower says. She recalls the story of a 19-year-old patient who had a double mastectomy. “Within three months, she called us back, begging for her breasts to be put back on.”

The whistleblower insists that “the best way to treat” what she called “gender distress” in children is “to figure out the underlying reasons for that gender distress.” In many cases, it traces back to “early sexual abuse, early sexual trauma, trauma in their family,” which should be resolved in therapy, not through medical interventions. Poll: Many D.C. Jurors Open to Harsh Punishments, Including Execution, for J6 Protesters

A recent survey conducted by Triton Polling and Research between Jan. 1-8 has unveiled alarming sentiments among potential jurors in Washington, D.C., regarding the participants of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol protest. The survey, exclusively obtained by The Epoch Times, sheds light on a significant bias that could impact the fairness of trials related to the events of that day.

Out of the 422 surveyed “jury eligible residents,” 27.5% labeled the protest participants as “insurrectionists,” while 13% referred to them as “criminals,” and nearly 15% identified them as “domestic terrorists.” Additionally, 12% characterized them as “traitors.”

The survey participants overwhelmingly attributed blame for the events to former President Donald Trump, with 75% “strongly” and 14.4% “somewhat” agreeing that Trump was responsible. Moreover, 76.6% “strongly” agreed that Trump’s supporters are racists. Two-thirds of respondents labeled the events of Jan. 6 as “terrorism.”

After being informed about the potential penalties for insurrection, treason, or domestic terrorism, which include life imprisonment or death, 26.9% “strongly agreed” and 21.1% “somewhat agreed” that these penalties would be “a fair punishment for anyone who participated in any of the events of January 6.”

Disturbingly, 80.1% of respondents expressed their willingness to serve as jurors if called, with many indicating a desire to be on a jury to ensure guilty verdicts and punishments for the defendants.

News Anchor Admits He Could Not Find a Single Person Outside of New Hampshire Grocery Store Who Feels ‘Good About the Economy’

“CBS Mornings” co-host Tony Dokoupil reported how he and his team couldn’t find anybody outside a New Hampshire grocery that was “feeling good about the economy.”

While previewing an upcoming CBS News segment set to air on Sunday, Dokoupil mentioned how people complained about higher food prices, despite macro signs that the economy is improving.

The co-host made the claim while President Biden continues to try and sell his economic achievements — aka “Bidenomics” — ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

While speaking to local New Hampshire CBS anchors, Dokoupil reported, “People are really bummed out about the economy here in New Hampshire. Even if the overall big picture numbers are going in the right direction, and even if people’s own personal experiences in general are going okay, there’s a lot of gloom.”

Noting why, he said, “Food prices, for example, are generally going up. Fani Willis and Nathan Wade Facing Subpoenas Over Alleged Affair and Financial Entanglements

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and special prosecutor Nathan Wade are expected to face subpoenas amid allegations of an extramarital affair and questionable financial ties.

The controversy came to light as Wade and a former/current law partner were informed to anticipate subpoenas for a hearing scheduled on February 15. The hearing aims to address claims made by Mike Roman, one of Trump’s co-defendants, alleging an improper romantic relationship between Willis and Wade and accusations of mishandling public funds.

Roman’s attorney emphasized that the real issue revolves around the impropriety of having Wade on the team and presenting the case to the grand jury, citing conflicts of interest and the appearance of impropriety. Roman has pushed for the case’s dismissal due to these alleged conflicts.

Regardless of the hearing’s outcome, the allegations against Willis and Wade are the latest distractions in their high-profile case against Trump and his co-defendants. The list of improprieties dates back to 2021 when Willis hired Wade.

Wade’s divorce filing a day after signing a lucrative contract with Willis raised eyebrows, especially as bank statements revealed he covered at least two plane trips for himself and Willis. Willis paid Wade an hourly rate higher than the state’s best-credentialed prosecutor for a similar case against Trump. Wade allegedly earned over $650,000 on the case.

The tangled web includes Wade being held in contempt of court in an unrelated case and allegations of significant contracts awarded to Wade’s law partner, suggesting deep-rooted conflicts of interest in the prosecution of Trump.

While Willis accuses Wade’s estranged wife of obstructing the election interference case against Trump, she has not directly addressed the allegations of an affair or financial improprieties. In response to the claims, Willis cited racism, portraying the accusations as racially motivated.

The controversy extends beyond the alleged affair, as reports reveal Willis colluded with Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s January 6 Committee, seeking tips to aid in prosecuting Trump. Willis’s actions, coupled with her public statements expressing a desire for prison sentences for Trump and co-defendants, raise questions about the political nature of the prosecution.

Growing Pressure for Nikki Haley to Drop 2024 Run After NH Results

As former Gov. Nikki Haley placed second to former President Donald Trump in the New Hampshire GOP primary, calls for her to withdraw from the race have intensified. Republicans are urging Haley to step aside, arguing that it would allow the party to consolidate resources and focus on defeating President Joe Biden in the upcoming elections.

After Gov. Ron DeSantis exited the race and endorsed Trump, Haley’s path to the nomination seemed increasingly challenging. Trump’s decisive victory in New Hampshire and overwhelming leads in other states put additional pressure on Haley to reconsider her campaign.

Border Showdown: Texas Defies Feds — ‘We Will Continue to Deploy Razor Wire’ (VIDEO)

The Texas Military Department says it will continue to “hold the line in Shelby Park” in their efforts to “deter and prevent unlawful entry into the State of Texas.” Under Operation Lone Star orders from Governor Greg Abbott, the Texas National Guard’s actions continue despite a second demand letter from the Department of Homeland Security to release control of the park seized by the State earlier this month. Governor Abbott pledged to continue deploying razor wire along the Rio Grande border with Mexico.

“We remain resolute in our actions to secure our border, preserve the rule of law, and protect the sovereignty of our State,” TMD officials wrote in a post on X.

Shortly after DHS officials issued a second letter to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton demanding accesses to Shelby Park in Eagle Pass, Texas, a defiant Governor Abbott posted, “We will continue to deploy this razor wire to repel illegal immigration.”

In the leaked audio, DeWit engages in a conversation with Kari Lake, discussing what it would take for her to “pause” her political ambitions. The dialogue reveals a complex web of alleged offers, implied bribes, and even suggestions that something harmful could happen to DeWit if he exposed these “powerful people.”

DeWit, in his resignation statement, acknowledged the authenticity of the audio but claims it is “selectively edited.” He expressed more concern about Lake recording their private conversation than the content itself in an attempt to downplay the seriousness of the released conversation. Male Prisoner ‘Instructed’ by Staff to Claim He Was Trans to Gain Access to Female Inmates, Lure Them Into Prostitution Ring: Court Documents

A female former inmate who was housed in New York City’s Rikers Island jail has launched a suit against the city after claiming she was “repeatedly sexually assaulted” by a biological male inmate who claimed to be transgender and was housed in the women’s section.

Allegations in the suit accuse Riker’s Island staff of instructing the man to identify as trans so he could gain access to women and lure them into a prostitution ring that the suit states staff were familiar with.

The lawsuit, brought forth by the inmate only known as Rose Doe, was filed at the Bronx Supreme Court in November of 2023, Reduxx reports.

Rose Doe was housed at the Rose M Singer Center, which is the island’s only women’s facility. Around December of 2021, a male inmate was transferred into her unit after identifying as a woman. . .

The suit states that department records show the biological male was being investigated for alleged involvement in a prostitution ring operating on the island at the time the inmate was transferred to the women’s facility. Now Another State Launches Bill to Ban Trump From Ballot

Democrats across America apparently have such a fear of President Donald Trump’s presence on the 2024 presidential ballot they are trying in multiple ways to simply have him removed. . .

But now one lawmaker in Hawaii apparently believes his arguments, essentially the same as those used in multiple other states, are somehow better.

There, state Sen. Karl Rhoads, a Democrat who often lashes out angrily at Trump, is pushing for a bill that would ban Trump from the state’s ballot.

His plan aims to “specify that election ballots issued … shall exclude any candidate who is disqualified under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. . .
