Surge in Gun Ownership: Poll Reveals Record Highs and Shifting Attitudes on Firearm Ownership”

A recent national poll conducted by NBC News has unveiled a notable increase in firearm ownership in the United States, marking a record high since the inception of the poll question in 1999. According to the survey, 52% of respondents reported having a gun in their household, signaling a significant uptick from 42% in 2013 and 46% in 2019.

Micah Roberts, representing a Republican polling firm and one of the co-conductors of the poll alongside members of Hart Research, a Democratic polling firm, expressed astonishment at the findings. Roberts highlighted the substantial 10-point growth in gun ownership over the past decade, emphasizing the unusual nature of such a rapid and substantial shift in a fundamental aspect of American life.

“In the last ten years, we’ve grown [10 points] in gun ownership. That’s a very stunning number,” remarked Roberts, emphasizing the uncommon nature of such a substantial change in a relatively short period. He added, “By and large, things don’t change that dramatically that quickly when it comes to something as fundamental as whether you own a gun.”

The NBC poll is not the only recent survey shedding light on changing attitudes towards gun ownership. A concurrent Harvard poll indicated that six out of ten voters believe owning a gun is necessary for self-protection against criminals. This suggests a growing perception among Americans that firearm ownership is an essential element of personal safety.

The combination of these polls suggests a nuanced landscape of shifting perspectives on gun ownership, reflecting both an increase in the actual presence of firearms in households and a changing attitude toward the necessity of owning a gun for self-defense.

U.S. Military Bases in Iraq and Syria Targeted in Thanksgiving Day Attacks

On Thanksgiving Day, U.S. bases and troops in Iraq and Syria faced a series of attacks involving mortars and armed drones, as reported by Sky News Arabia. The assaults targeted U.S. and international forces in both countries, with incidents occurring at the Ain al-Asad air base west of Baghdad and the Harir base near Erbil Airport in northern Iraq, where U.S. troops are stationed. The attacks, orchestrated by a group identifying itself as the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, included the deployment of suicide drones and claims of militia forces storming the base using rocket-propelled grenades and small arms.

Despite the intensity of the attacks, there were no reported casualties or damage to infrastructure. The Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility for the assaults, and unconfirmed video footage purportedly showing the attack circulated online.

These Thanksgiving Day attacks mark the latest in a series of incidents targeting U.S. bases and troops in the region. Since October 17, the count of attacks has risen to 66, with at least 62 reported injuries. The surge in attacks began ten days after Hamas initiated an attack on Israel on October 7, resulting in over 1,200 casualties.

Retired Special Forces Chief Warrant Officer 3 Joe Kent, currently running for Congress in Washington state, criticized the situation, attributing the rocket attacks to two decades of failed U.S. policies and alleging corruption within the Biden administration.

Where The Biden Impeachment Effort Stands Heading Into 2024

House Republicans are setting the stage for what could be a vote on articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden early next year.

A report published this week by POLITICO quoted multiple GOP members of the House Judiciary Committee — which would spearhead the drafting of any articles of impeachment — urging the chamber to move quickly toward a decision heading into 2024, which is a presidential election year in which Biden is seeking a second term in the White House.

“We understand that the further you go toward an election, the more politicized these conversations become. That’s why it’s all the more important for us to begin to take action sooner rather than later,” Rep. Ben Cline (R-VA), a member of the Judiciary Committee, told the news outlet. Rep. Dan Bishop (R-NC), another member of that panel, added, “I think it needs to move with alacrity. I’ve always felt that we should be able to move faster. … But I do anticipate that it comes to Judiciary soon.”

The report also noted that Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, predicted a decision would happen early in 2024 and said, “We can decide on whether or not there’s articles” after completing a series of depositions that lawmakers hope to complete in the coming weeks. Another State Is Banning the Sale of New Gas-Powered Cars

New Jersey officials announced Tuesday that the state would be joining a growing list of Democrat-led states slated to ban the sale of new gas-powered vehicles by 2035.

New Jersey becomes at least the 17th state to follow some or all of California’s Advanced Clean Cars II rule that was passed by a regulatory board in the summer of 2022. Democratic Governor Phil Murphy said the move will help “lower emissions and improve air quality,” claiming that the new rule will also “preserve consumer choice.”

“The steps we take today to lower emissions will improve air quality and mitigate climate impacts for generations to come, all while increasing access to cleaner car choices,” Murphy said in a press release. “Indeed, together with my Administration’s continuing investments in voluntary electric vehicle incentives, charging infrastructure, and the green economy, these new standards will preserve consumer choice and promote affordability for hardworking New Jerseyans across the state.”

The Garden State joins California, Vermont, Washington, Oregon, Massachusetts, Virginia, Rhode Island, Maryland, and Connecticut in committing to implement the complete ban on new gas-powered vehicles, The Hill reported. The ban will not affect gas-powered vehicles already owned or the sale of used gas-powered vehicles. (Read more from “Another State Is Banning the Sale of New Gas-Powered Cars” HERE)

Alarming Surge in Cancer Deaths Among Young People Raises Questions About the Impact of Mass COVID-19 Vaccination

A new analysis by Edward Dowd, a former Wall Street hedge fund manager and author, has uncovered a disturbing trend of rapidly metastasizing and terminal cancers among teenagers and young individuals in their 20s, 30s, and 40s in the UK. The shocking findings, detailed in Dowd’s 45-page report titled “‘Cause Unknown’: The Epidemic of Sudden Deaths in 2021 and 2022,” suggest a sharp increase in cancer mortality rates since the commencement of mass COVID-19 vaccination efforts.

Dowd based his analysis on government statistics from the UK’s Office for National Statistics, focusing on International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision (ICD-10) codes related to malignant neoplasms (cancer) for the years 2010 to 2022. The study revealed a concerning pattern, with 8% of deaths among 15- to 44-year-olds in 2021 and 30% in 2022 not yet coded, indicating a potential underestimation of the problem.

Despite missing codes, Dowd’s analysis of the remaining data highlighted a significant increase in cancer deaths, particularly among individuals aged 15 to 44. The study identified a 28% rise in fatal breast cancer rates in women, an 80% increase in pancreatic cancer deaths among women, a 60% increase in colon cancer deaths among men, and alarming spikes in fatal melanomas, brain cancer, and cancers without site specification.

Dowd emphasized that the observed patterns are a cause for concern and should prompt further investigation by medical professionals. The report underscores the need for a reality check on health trends among younger individuals, focusing on the potential link between COVID-19 vaccines and the surge in cancer deaths.

Dr. Chris Flowers, an academic physician and breast cancer specialist in England, expressed deep concern over the data, emphasizing the severity of fatal cancers in the young that emerged in 2022. Flowers, along with colleagues in the U.S. and U.K., has observed a notable increase in cancer rates, with younger individuals presenting advanced tumors and cases of what some oncologists are now terming “turbo cancers” – aggressive and rapidly progressing forms of the disease.

Dr. Pierre Kory, a pulmonologist and critical care doctor, and David Wiseman, Ph.D., a pharmacist with expertise in experimental pathology, have also reported an influx of cancer-related concerns from patients and colleagues. Wiseman highlighted CDC data showing signals for cancer in COVID-19 vaccines, indicating the importance of further investigation into potential vaccine-related risks.

Dowd’s report raises critical questions about the impact of mass vaccination efforts on public health, particularly concerning potential connections between COVID-19 vaccines and the surge in cancer mortality among young individuals in the UK.

Biden’s ‘Transgender Day of Remembrance’ Praises ‘Victims’ Who Attacked Innocent People

President Joe Biden celebrated “Transgender Day of Remembrance” this week to grieve 26 transgender Americans who were killed in 2023— not people who fell victim to Leftist’s progressive policies that have allowed criminals to commit crimes against innocent people.

During a press conference, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said, “Year after Year, we see that these victims are disproportionately black, women, and women of color. No one should face violence or live in fear, or be discriminated against simply for being themselves.”

However, three of the 26 transgender “victims” that the Biden White House idolized died while attacking innocent bystanders.

According to the Federalist, the three transgender people were shot and killed while committing a crime or refusing to cooperate with law enforcement.

Time after time, the Biden Administration has chosen to paint transgender people as victims despite the thousands of Americans, for example, who have died from fentanyl poisoning after being brought into the U.S. due to Biden’s wide-open border. Mass Shooter Believed Killing ‘Upper Class White People’ Could Finally Secure Gun Control

The journal of Connor Sturgeon, the 25-year-old Louisville mass shooter, has been released by law enforcement and it shows that he targeted “upper class white people” in hopes of securing more gun control.

The Louisville Metropolitan Police Department released documents containing entries from Sturgeon’s journal.

In an April 3, 2023, entry, he cited his frustration over the “climate disaster” and “gun access.”

Sturgeon wrote, “I have decided to make an impact. But because I was depressed and able to buy (guns?) they are gone. Perhaps this is the impact for change–upper class white people dying.”

On April 9, 2023, the day before the shooting, Sturgeon wrote: “This is not an accident. I’m sorry I had to lie all week, but this is something I have to do. It has all been planned, and it is flawed but I think it will work.” (Read more from “Mass Shooter Believed Killing ‘Upper Class White People’ Could Finally Secure Gun Control” HERE)

Study: More Americans Celebrate Thanksgiving with Fast Food

A new study shows that more Americans will be celebrating Thanksgiving with fast food as opposed to a traditional feast, with inflation being one of the chief causes.

“Amid ongoing inflation, it’s no surprise that finances are a factor in the rise of a fast food Thanksgiving,” noted the New York Post, which cited a Casino.org survey showing that “16 percent of respondents admitted that saving money was the primary motivator for ditching the traditional turkey in favor of a meal at McDonald’s or somewhere similar.”

The survey was based on Google Trends research, which shows a high spike in fast food searches on Thanksgiving.

A recent report from the American Farm Bureau Federation said that headlines about a decline in Thanksgiving prices have been overblown, given that they are just a slight bit lower than 2022’s “historically high prices.”

“A classic Thanksgiving feast for ten, costing $61.17 total, rings in at about $6.12 less per person, the organization reported,” noted the Post. “That’s still 25 percent higher than the cost of the same meal in 2019 — an increase many Americans simply won’t be able to absorb long term.” (Read more from “Study: More Americans Celebrate Thanksgiving With Fast Food” HERE)

Report: State Abortion Bans Led to Tens of Thousands More Births

A recent analysis conducted by the Institute of Labor Economics has revealed a significant increase in the number of births following the enactment of state abortion bans since the overturning of Roe v. Wade in June of the previous year. The study found that approximately 32,000 more babies are born annually due to these restrictive measures, impacting birth rates in every state with an abortion ban.

The analysis, utilizing data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention spanning from 2005 to June of the current year, indicated that between a fifth and a fourth of women residing in the 14 states with abortion bans, who might have otherwise sought an abortion, did not proceed with the procedure. Consequently, an average of 2.3% more babies were born in states with abortion bans compared to those without.

Certain demographic groups experienced a more pronounced rise in births, including women in their 20s, black women, and Hispanic women. Researchers suggest that financial constraints, making it difficult for these groups to travel out of state for an abortion, contributed to the observed increase. The distance to abortion clinics also played a crucial role, with Texas witnessing a 5.1% spike in births after passing an abortion ban, accompanied by a significant increase in the average driving distance to the nearest clinic.

States such as Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana, which implemented abortion bans, experienced substantial increases in orders from Aid Access, an overseas abortion pill provider. However, the overall impact on birth rates in these states was less than anticipated.

Elon Musk Sparks Controversy by Addressing ‘Pizzagate’ Conspiracy on X

Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk stirred controversy on X, formerly Twitter, by engaging with a user’s post connecting the founder of Media Matters with the “Pizzagate” conspiracy theory. Musk, with a massive following of 160 million, responded with a simple “Weird,” drawing attention to the ongoing lawsuit between X and Media Matters. The lawsuit was initiated after a Media Matters report identified major brands’ ads running alongside pro-Nazi content on X, potentially leading to an exodus of advertisers from the platform.

“Pizzagate” originated during the 2016 US presidential election and falsely alleged a pedophilia ring involving prominent Democrats, including Hillary Clinton, operating out of a Washington, DC pizza shop, specifically Comet Ping Pong.

Musk’s response on X adds a new layer to the ongoing clash between X and Media Matters. The controversy surrounding “Pizzagate” and Musk’s engagement prompted a statement from Media Matters president Angelo Carusone, who accused Musk of making “meritless legal threats” and promoting “bizarre conspiracy theories.”
