Study Confirms Body Mutilations Are ‘No Cure’ for Mental Health Issues

A new study shows that people who experience gender dysphoria cannot expect various mental health issues to disappear by having gender reassignment surgery, according to a report in the Washington Stand. . .

The study noted that those with gender dysphoria “present with many more common psychiatric needs” than a population in general, “even when medical GR [gender-reassignment] interventions are carried out.” . . .

The study reviewed cases of more than 3,600 people who reached out to “nationally centralized gender identity services” in Finland from 1996 to 2019, and found 38.4% got cross-sex hormones or surgical “reassignment.”

Then researchers lined up eight other people “of the same sex, age, and place birth,” resulting in a control population of nearly 30,000.

Comparing the groups, the authors found “a much higher risk that a person with gender dysphoria will need ‘specialist-level psychiatric treatment’ (most often for mood disorders and anxiety) than their age-matched controls, and that they will receive more care after entering the system,” the report noted. Research Reveals Critical Shortage of Life-Saving Medicines

The medical profession around the globe has been focused over the last few flu seasons on COVID and its after-effects. . .

But that focus has come with a cost: that some medicines now are hard to find, delayed and worse, unavailable.

A report in the Daily Mail explains that shortages now are being noticed for meds used against blood cancers, pneumonia and even mental illness.

“One notable medicine in short supply is the antibiotic amoxicillin; used to treat bacterial infections, including the bacterial infection partly driving the so-called ‘white lung’ outbreak in Ohio and China,” the report said.

Official figures obtained by the research found the number of medications in short supply was up 30% from 2021 to 2022, hitting a five-year high of 295. (Read more from “Research Reveals Critical Shortage of Life-Saving Medicines” HERE)

Report: Here’s Who Melania Wants Trump to Pick for VP

Melania Trump is pushing for her husband to pick Tucker Carlson as his 2024 running mate if he secures the Republican nomination for president, according to a report.

The former first lady believes the ex-Fox News host would be a “powerful onstage extension” of her husband, former President Donald Trump, according to Axios.

But there is stiff competition, as Trump, 77, is also considering more politically experienced candidates for the No. 2 post — such as Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem and Reps. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), according to the outlet.

Kari Lake, who lost her 2022 bid to be Arizona’s Republican governor and is now running for US Senate in the state, is also among the “loyalist”-types that Trump is reportedly considering for vice president.

Despite being Melania’s preferred choice, the former president’s staff and people close to him reportedly fear that Carlson would “outshine” Donald Trump and that the talk show host “can’t be controlled,” according to Axios. Republican Proposes New Bill to Protect Children From Porn

In a bid to shield children from explicit content on the internet, Tennessee Republican Rep. Patsy Hazlewood has introduced the “Protect Tennessee Minors Act.” The legislation aims to compel online pornography distributors to implement age verification measures, mirroring similar laws enacted in states like Virginia and Utah.

Rep. Hazlewood, Chair of the House Finance, Ways, and Means Committee, emphasized the bill’s goal of equating safeguards in the online realm with those already established in the physical world. She asserted that exposing children to pornography constitutes a form of child sexual abuse and exploitation, with severe potential impacts on intellectual development and emotional well-being.

The proposed legislation proposes a stringent approach, requiring companies to match a user’s photograph with a valid U.S. photo ID. Failure to implement age verification could result in serious consequences, with websites facing a Class C felony charge, carrying penalties of up to 15 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Similar laws in Virginia and Utah prompted Pornhub to restrict access to its site for users in those states. Hazlewood’s bill reflects a broader societal concern, with Tennessee tech industry executive Jacob Levy stating, “My top priority is the safety and health of my children. Pornography is a societal disaster. Modernizing existing laws to require age verification will protect children from it and help the internet stay digital, not degenerate.”

This initiative aligns with a resolution passed by Tennessee lawmakers in 2017, designating pornography as a public health hazard. The resolution highlighted the detrimental effects of pornography, depicting women and children as objects and contributing to the normalization of violence.

House Republicans Secure Ban on Defense Department Funding ‘Disinformation’ Industry

House Republicans have secured a provision in the 2024 National Defense Authorization Act that prohibits the Department of Defense from contracting with disinformation companies such as NewsGuard, arguing that the Pentagon should not be engaged in censorship of domestic news outlets.

The House Armed Services Committee agreed to strip many provisions of its version in negotiations with its Democrat-controlled counterpart in the Senate, but the provision targeting government funding of censorship technology remained in the final legislation, which will likely receive a vote as soon as next week.

“I am proud that House Republicans successfully fought for a provision in the FY24 NDAA that ends the far-Left’s attacks on conservative outlets,” said Rep. Mike Rogers, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee. “We will continue to defend freedom of speech against the Biden administration’s far-left overreach.”

The NDAA must pass every year to fund the military, and has become a vessel for legislation that would otherwise stand no chance to pass as a stand-alone bill. Other provisions that failed to make it into the final version include bans on the Pentagon funding drag shows and so-called “gender-affirming health care” for transgender-identifying service members. Plane Flies Over Harvard Campus Reading ‘Harvard Hates Jews’

A plane flew over Harvard University’s campus Thursday with a banner reading “Harvard Hates Jews,” according to multiple sources on social media.

Harvard University President Claudine Gay spoke at a hearing Tuesday and refused to say if students would be disciplined for genocidal speech and backtracked Wednesday from her statement following backlash from prominent figures and the White House. Following a rise in anti-Israel activities on campus, a truck drove around Harvard University a multitude of times that showed the faces of students who signed an anti-Israel letter.

The Harvard Palestine Solidarity Committee called the plane “racist weaponization” and said the phrase “Harvard Hates Jews” is a “right wing slogan,” according to a tweet.

Ex-U.S. Attorney Says Hunter Biden Indictment Could Sink Deposition, Protect Joe Biden

A former United States attorney said Thursday the indictment of Hunter Biden on nine counts of violating tax laws could sink his upcoming congressional deposition.

Special counsel David Weiss secured the indictment of Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, for failing to pay over $1 million in taxes from 2016 to 2019. “He’s going to plead the Fifth because he now has a criminal charge in California,” former United States Attorney Brett Tollman told Fox News host Jesse Watters.

The House Oversight Committee and House Judiciary Committee issued a subpoena for Hunter Biden on Nov. 8, requiring him to appear before them for a deposition on Dec. 13. Republican Reps, James Comer of Kentucky and Jim Jordan of Ohio, who chair the committees, threatened to initiate contempt of Congress proceedings if Biden did not appear for the deposition.

“They could have brought these charges much earlier,” Tolman added. “They didn’t because they wanted to try to slip one past the American public.” (Read more from “Ex-U.S. Attorney Says Hunter Biden Indictment Could Sink Deposition, Protect Joe Biden” HERE)

Biden’s New Rule Would Limit Christians From Adoption

GOP Rep. Jim Banks (IN) has unveiled a new bill that would cut off federal funding for child welfare agencies who discriminate against Christians and other people of faith.

Banks’ bill, the Sensible Adoption for Every (SAFE) Home Act, is a response to a proposed Biden administration Health and Human Services rule that would require foster or adoptive parents to support a child’s gender “transition.” The caretakers would have to affirm a child’s preferred pronouns, their “chosen name,” and “allow the child to dress in a way that reflects that gender identity.”

“The Biden administration is cruelly preventing countless children in the foster care and adoption system from going to loving homes just because parents are opposed to irreversible sex change procedures on kids,” Banks said. “This isn’t a liberal or conservative issue. This is just plain wrong, and every sane person knows it.”

The administration claims the HHS rule is necessary to protect “LGBTQI+ youth,” who they say are overrepresented in the foster care system and often suffer from abuse.

However, 18 state attorneys general have already signed on to a letter from Alabama AG Steve Marshall urging HHS to reject the proposed rule. These Republican states – which include Georgia, Virginia, Texas, Tennessee, and Kentucky – all see the rule as discriminatory and a clear violation of the First Amendment, both freedom of religion and freedom of speech. Their letter argues that the rule would effectively remove faith-based providers who refuse to bend on their religious beliefs from the foster care system. Biden Warns of U.S. Troop Deployment if Ukraine Aid Not Passed

President Joe Biden echoed the warnings of his defense secretary in an address to the public this week, saying if Congress does not pass $64 billion in aid to Ukraine, U.S. troops will end up fighting Russia in Europe.

“This cannot wait. Congress needs to pass supplemental funding for Ukraine before they break for the holiday recess. It’s as simple as that,” Biden began.

He then accused skeptical Republicans in Congress of being “willing to give Putin the greatest gift he could hope for and abandon our global leadership not just to Ukraine, but beyond that.”

He argued that Putin has committed atrocities against Ukrainian civilians and that Russian forces are committing war crimes. . .

“If he keeps going and then he attacks a NATO Ally — well, we’ve committed as a NATO member that we’d defend every inch of NATO territory — then we’ll have something that we don’t seek and that we don’t have today: American troops fighting Russian troops.” (Read more from “Biden Warns of U.S. Troop Deployment if Ukraine Aid Not Passed” HERE)
