Company Recalls 30,000 Pounds of Dinosaur-Shaped Chicken Nuggets Over Metal Contamination Concerns

Tyson Foods has issued a recall Saturday for approximately 30,000 pounds of its dino-shaped chicken nuggets due to reports of small metal pieces found in some patties.

The recall pertains to 29-ounce plastic bag packages containing frozen “fully cooked fun nuggets breaded shaped chicken patties.” These bags feature a “best if used by date” of September 4, 2024.

The affected products were distributed in several states, including Alabama, California, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wisconsin. While there has been one minor oral injury reported in connection with the consumption of these chicken nuggets, no other injuries have been reported thus far.

“The problem was discovered after the firm notified FSIS that it had received consumer complaints reporting small metal pieces in the chicken patty product,” the statement reads. “There has been one reported minor oral injury associated with consumption of this product. FSIS has received no additional reports of injury or illness from consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.” (Read more from “Company Recalls 30,000 Pounds of Dinosaur-Shaped Chicken Nuggets Over Metal Contamination Concerns” HERE)

Comer Teases ‘Around Two Dozen Subpoenas’ for Biden Family Investigation

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer teased Sunday “around two dozen subpoenas” to continue the committee’s investigation into the Biden family business enterprise.

Comer was interviewed on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo and hinted at the Oversight Committee’s next course of action against the Biden family.

“We’re waiting on a few more documents to come in that we’ve successfully subpoenaed but it’s taking forever. And again Maria, I don’t think the average person can imagine how many different checking accounts the president’s son had. And considering he didn’t have a legitimate business, that in itself is an enormous red flag,” Comer told Bartiromo.

“Once all those come in, I think you’re gonna see swift action on the Bidens, and I would predict somewhere around two dozen subpoenas in the very near future,” Comer added.

The Oversight Committee subpoenaed personal and business bank records from Hunter Biden and his uncle James Biden in late September after the first impeachment inquiry hearing into President Biden. (Read more from “Comer Teases ‘Around Two Dozen Subpoenas’ for Biden Family Investigation” HERE)

FBI Foils What Could’ve Been a Horrific Terror Attack in Houston by a Radical Jordanian

When the threat appeared imminent, the FBI had to move in on the only charge that could stick for now: weapons charges. Sohaib Abuayyash, 20, was planning a massive terror attack targeting Jewish people in the Houston area. He had visited multiple gun ranges in the area and was trying to obtain instructions for bomb-making.

How Abuayyash was able to get firearms is a detail that will be revealed in time, but yes—he shouldn’t have been able to purchase or possess any firearm on a non-immigrant visa. That paperwork expired in 2019, but he’s been allowed to remain on American soil on a work authorization order through 2024. He’s also applied for asylum (via NY Post):

A “radical” Jordanian national living in Texas was allegedly plotting an attack on Houston’s Jewish community before he was arrested on gun charges.

Sohaib Abuayyash, 20, had been studying how to build bombs and posted about his support for killing Jews, federal officials claim.

“He has viewed specific and detailed content posted by radical organizations on the internet, including lessons on how to construct bombs or explosive devices,” FBI Director Chris Wray told the Senate Homeland Security Committee, though he declined to identify Abuayyash by name.

“And that defendant has made statements to others that support the killing of individuals of particular religious faiths.

Abuayyash even allegedly made a direct reference in one social media post about an event in Houston for the Jewish community, according to court documents obtained by CNN.

Joe Biden’s Office Allegedly Helped Coordinate Hunter Biden’s China Trips During Vice Presidency, Emails Show

Then-Vice President Joe Biden’s office appeared to offer assistance to Hunter Biden with coordinating his business trips to China, newly released emails show.

Donald Cloud, an advisor to then-VP Biden, reached out to Hunter Biden’s assistant, Katie Dodge, and suggested she communicate with the U.S. Embassy in Beijing to connect with then-U.S. Ambassador to China Max Baucus about Hunter Biden’s travels to China, according to emails released on Oct. 26 by the America First Legal Foundation (AFL).

“The reason I’m emailing you is that I received a call from Embassy Beijing this morning, and as I understand it, they (specifically Ambassador Max Baucus) has heard that Hunter Biden is in China. He would like to connect with Hunter (either himself or a member of his Embassy staff) to offer any support he may need during his travels,” Cloud wrote, according to the emails.

Cloud apparently sent Dodge contact information for Baucus’ special assistant and his personal phone number. Baucus’ phone number is redacted in the batch of emails AFL released. Dodge reached out to Baucus’ assistant and suggested a meeting with Baucus the next time Hunter Biden was in China because Baucus was not in China at the time, according to the emails. Former Donald Trump Appointee Sentenced to 70 Months for Role in Jan. 6 Attack

A former Trump administration official was sentenced to nearly six years in prison Friday for his role in the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol in 2021.

Federico Klein, who served as a political appointee in the State Department, was arrested in March 2021 and convicted of multiple felonies and misdemeanor offenses in federal court.

He was sentenced to 70 months in prison. Prosecutors had sought 10 years and highlighted messages that suggested Mr. Klein joined the melee in the lower west tunnel of the Capitol because he wanted to continue his service to former President Donald Trump, according to NBC News.

The government also pointed to evidence that he used a stolen riot police shield in the violence and, during the fight, told officers, “You can’t stop this.”

Mr. Klein is among more than 1,000 people who’ve been arrested in connection with the assault on the Capitol, in which a pro-Trump mob stormed the building while congressional lawmakers were trying to certify President Biden’s election win. Trump’s Gag Order in DC Election Interference Case Paused

The gag order in former President Donald Trump’s case in Washington, D.C., involving his alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election has been paused by a federal appeals court.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit issued a stay on the gag order pending an appeal, with the court also setting an expedited appeal schedule. The pause is simply an administrative stay while the court deliberates the merits of the gag order before deciding whether to leave it in place or remove it.

The gag order was reimposed on Oct. 29 after being paused during a prior appeal in response to when it was initially imposed on Oct. 17. The order prohibited parties in the case from “making any public statements, or directing others to make any public statements, that target” Smith or his staff, defense attorneys or their staff, court staff, and “any reasonably foreseeable witness or the substance of their testimony.”

Trump’s lawyer’s brief arguing against the gag order will be due by 5 p.m. on Nov. 8, followed by the Justice Department’s brief in favor of the gag order being due by 5 p.m. on Nov. 14, and a reply by Trump’s lawyers is due by noon on Nov. 17. The oral argument for the appeal has been scheduled for Nov. 20, at 9:30 a.m., according to the order. (Read more from “Trump’s Gag Order in DC Election Interference Case Paused” HERE)

Biden Admin To Spend $950M on Border Wall Repairs, Upgrades After Campaign Promise to Not Build ‘Another Foot’

President Biden famously promised not to build “another foot” of border wall during his presidency, but he’s willing to spend $950 million on upkeep of the existing infrastructure.

The Biden administration — which reversed course last month and announced it will build a new section of wall in Texas — allocated the money to repair and upgrade existing border walls in the Lone Star State, California and Arizona, according to a court filing.

Customs and Border Protection reported that four separate contracts have been awarded for “remediation work and system attribute installation” at sites in Tucson, San Diego, El Paso and El Centro.

The work will include the installation of cameras, new roads and “detection technology” that will make the barriers more effective in stemming the flow of illegal immigrants, documents state.

Remediation work will fill in border gaps, install gates, fix nearby patrol roads and address erosion and drainage issues in the immediate areas. (Read more from “Biden Admin To Spend $950M on Border Wall Repairs, Upgrades After Campaign Promise to Not Build ‘Another Foot’” HERE)

Eric Trump Rails Against Fraud Trial, Calls It ‘Waste of Taxpayer Money’ After Testimony Ends

Eric Trump on Friday railed on the $250 million civil fraud case against his family after concluding testimony at the Manhattan trial — where he showed up in nearly identical clothes for two days in a row.

Trump, 39, testified for roughly four and a half hours spread over Thursday and Friday, when he appeared in Manhattan Supreme Court in what appeared to be the same navy suit, light blue tie, white dress shirt, brown oxford shoes and even the same printed light blue socks.

Outside the courtroom afterward, Trump blasted New York Attorney General Letitia James — who is prosecuting the case — and the judge deciding it, echoing claims by his dad, former President Donald Trump, that the trial is a political witch hunt.

“This is a big charade that is a huge waste of taxpayer money and it’s the very reason everyone’s moving out of New York state, and I was actually one of them,” Trump told a gaggle of reporters.

“It’s a joke, it’s an absolute joke,” he said, claiming James was using the case to bolster her career. (Read more from “Eric Trump Rails Against Fraud Trial, Calls It ‘Waste of Taxpayer Money’ After Testimony Ends” HERE)

Eric Trump, Like Don Jr., Denies Involvement in Dad Donald’s Financial Statements That Are Key at Fraud Trial

Eric Trump claimed during testimony at a Manhattan fraud trial Thursday that he wasn’t involved with his dad’s financial statements — echoing his brother Donald Trump Jr.’s testimony – but was more prickly on the stand than his elder sibling.

The two Trump brothers arrived at Manhattan Supreme Court on Thursday morning wearing nearly identical clothing, including dark navy blue suits, light blue ties, brown shoes, slicked-back coifs and neatly groomed facial hair.

Don Jr., 45, waved to the press cameras as the entourage-flanked duo walked inside.

During Eric’s testimony — which was noticeably more tense than Don Jr.’s — state attorney Andrew Amer repeatedly pressed the 39-year-old on whether he was involved in compiling the former president’s statements of financial condition, which are at the center of the fraud case.

The icy afternoon was capped by Justice Arthur Engoron getting into a spat with Trump’s lawyer Christopher Kise after the conclusion of testimony when the judge suggested the attorney might be misogynistic for referring to his female law clerk repeatedly. House Dems Ignore Biden Veto Threat, Help Pass Israel Aid With IRS Cuts

Twelve House Democrats joined with Republicans on Thursday to pass a White House-opposed plan offset $14.3 billion in aid for Israel by slashing the same amount of funds meant for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

The GOP measure to provide emergency aid to Israel as it fights Hamas passed by a 226-196 vote, sending the legislation to the Democrat-led Senate where Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has already vowed not to bring it up for consideration.

Instead, Schumer announced earlier in the day, the Senate would “work on our own bipartisan emergency aid package that includes funding for aid to Israel, Ukraine, humanitarian aid including for Gaza, and competition with the Chinese Government.”

But the passage of the GOP House plan has already proven to be bipartisan with a dozen Democrats voting in favor of it: Reps. Angie Craig (D-MN), Don Davis (D-NC), Lois Frankel (D-FL), Jared Golden (D-ME), Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ), Greg Landsman (D-OH), Jared Moskowitz (D-FL), Darren Soto (D-FL), Haley Stevens (D-MI), Juan Vargas (D-CA), Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), and Frederica Wilson (D-FL).
