The lawsuit, filed in Dane County Circuit Court, alleges that Dr. Jay Lick and Dr. Katherine Gast operated without obtaining proper informed consent.

The patient, initially identifying as a lesbian, explored a nonbinary identity to address psychological distress from childhood trauma. However, post-surgery therapy revealed that the distress was not linked to physical features but to past trauma. Consequently, she decided to detransition, ceasing testosterone therapy. The lawsuit, filed confidentially, reveals the patient’s regret as a Jewish woman, mourning her inability to naturally conceive, a significant aspect of her cultural expectations.

UW Health, the hospital in question, has not commented on the case’s specifics or the informed consent procedures for gender-altering surgeries. The Department of Defense (DOD) is set to allocate nearly $270 million in taxpayer funds from fiscal years 2022 to 2024 to advance its diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) agenda, reflecting a significant increase in spending on these initiatives. The DOD’s commitment to DEIA has grown from $68 million in fiscal year 2022 to $114.7 million in the initial request for fiscal year 2024, raising questions and concerns about the prioritization of such programs. Critics argue that the department’s focus on DEIA may divert attention from its primary mission and impact national security.

Biden’s Pentagon has consistently advocated for the integration of DEIA principles across all DOD efforts, emphasizing their impact on both the department’s workforce and its mission. The Strategic Management Plan for fiscal years 2022 to 2026 underscores the goal to institutionalize the advancement of DEIA and the value of diversity within the department.

The allocated funds in fiscal year 2022 were designated for the Department of the Air Force, specifically aimed at enhancing training programs, diversity, and inclusion initiatives. This included unconscious bias diversity training and increased aviation scholarships for underrepresented universities’ Reserve Officers’ Training Corps cadets. In 2023, $86.5 million was channeled into dedicated diversity and inclusion activities, supporting various programs to further DEIA values and objectives.

However, the specifics of the proposed $114.7 million for fiscal year 2024 remain unclear, with more information expected in the upcoming “DEIA 2023 – 2027 Strategic Plan.” Critics argue that the vague nature of funding requests raises concerns about transparency and accountability regarding the actual implementation of DEIA activities within the DOD.

The controversy surrounding the DOD’s approach to DEIA extends beyond funding, as visible manifestations of Critical Race Theory (CRT) and the diversity agenda draw criticism. The leaked diversity, equity, and inclusion document from the National Security Agency (NSA), part of the DOD, highlights the promotion of CRT and transgender ideology within the agency.

Republican Representative Mike Waltz expressed concern over the perceived shift in the military’s focus, emphasizing the potential impact on the military’s effectiveness and how it is perceived by adversaries. The creation of the Defense Advisory Committee on Diversity and Inclusion and appointments like General (Ret.) Lester Lyles as its chair indicate the DOD’s commitment to improving racial/ethnic diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity within the military.

The controversy surrounding the DOD’s adoption of woke ideology, including CRT, extends to educational institutions like West Point, where cadets are reportedly taught CRT concepts. Additionally, high-profile figures within the DOD, such as General Mark Milley and Bishop Garrison, have defended CRT and led efforts to counter extremism within the military.

‘Preying on Their Innocence’: Male Nanny Sentenced to Over 700 Years in Prison for Sexually Abusing 16 Boys

A male nanny based in California was sentenced to over 700 years in prison after being found guilty of sexually assaulting 16 boys in his care, and exposing another child to pornography, authorities said in a press release.

Matthew Antonio Zakrzewski, 34, was convicted of 34 felonies on Nov. 17, and was sentenced to 705 years to life in prison, plus two years and eight months for molesting 16 young boys between the ages of two and 12 years old, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office press release. Zakrzewski, additionally showed a 17th boy “child pornography with the intent to also sexually assault him.” He also filmed many of the sexual assaults, the DA’s Office said.

“This is a case of shattered innocence and precious childhoods that were robbed from 17 little boys. These children will never know the people they were truly intended to be – because their childhoods were suddenly and inexplicably interrupted not by a wolf at the door, but by a predator masquerading as godsend,” Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer stated.

“These innocent little boys must bear a lifetime of trauma, and their parents will bear a lifetime of pain knowing that they put their precious children in the arms of an animal because they believed who he said he was. But that was a lie. He had no interest in protecting these children; his only interest was in preying on their innocence and filming the assaults for his sick sexual gratification,” Spitzer added.

Zakrzewski was arrested in May 2019 by the Laguna Beach Police Department and was originally charged with three felony counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor under 14, one felony count of oral copulation of a child under 10, and one felony count of possession of child pornography, according the DA’s press release. High School Nixes ‘USA Day’ to ‘Avoid Politics’

A Massachusetts high school has sparked controversy by canceling its annual “USA Day” as part of spirit week festivities, in efforts to “avoid politics.” Wellesley High School principal Jamie Chisum explained in a letter to the school community that the decision was made to avoid a topic that had become politically charged, replacing “USA Day” with “Fitness Friday.”

The cancellation, which reportedly was not open for debate, drew attention when Student Unification Program member Olivia Spagnuolo shared insights into the decision. Spagnuolo’s group, responsible for suggesting daily themes, highlighted that the patriotic theme had been vetoed in previous years. The school’s spirit week traditionally builds excitement leading up to the annual Thanksgiving football game, featuring various daily themes such as “Throwback Thursday” and “Wild West Wednesday.”

The principal’s letter acknowledged the unintended impact of the decision, stating, “We acknowledge that the impact for some people has been just the opposite of our intention and that we have inadvertently politicized this activity. I am definitely sorry for any negative effect this has had on kids and families.” Local parents and community members expressed disappointment, with one parent deeming the decision “absurd”

Ted Cruz Predictably Turns on Senator Tuberville’s Principled Stand Against the Pentagon’s Disgusting (and Illegal) Pro-Abortion Policies

Senator Ted Cruz became the latest Republican to criticize his colleague from Alabama over Mr. Tuberville’s ongoing refusal to allow for voice approvals of military promotions to pass in the Senate, telling radio host Hugh Hewitt that America’s military readiness was suffering as a result of key positions going unfilled.

Mr. Cruz’s break from his colleague is significant . . . It’s a sign of just how few allies remain with Mr.Tuberville as his hold has stretched for months. . .

Mr. Tuberville and other Republicans are staunchly opposed to a policy enacted by the Biden administration allowing service members to be reimbursed for travel expenses if they need to leave their state to access abortion services. Implemented after the Dobbs decision in 2022 ended federal protections for abortion rights, Republicans argue that the policy violates the Hyde Amendment, which restricts the federal government from using funds for abortion services except in a few specific cases.

For months, the Republican from Alabama has refused to allow military promotions to be approved by voice in the Senate in retaliation. Technically, the promotions could still be approved by the full chamber in a roll call vote, but such a process is timely. Democrats who control the chamber also oppose the idea of setting a precedent by giving in to a member’s demands in such a fashion. Published in the International Journal of Health Sciences, the research, led by John Barry, the co-founder of the Centre for Male Psychology, explores the evolving views on masculinity over the decades.

The study, conducted through a comprehensive online survey, included 2,023 men from the United Kingdom and 2,002 from Germany. A key element was the Positive Mindset Index, measuring mental positivity, and specific questions about masculinity perceptions. The findings challenge stereotypes, revealing that men who had a less negative view of masculinity reported higher levels of mental positivity, debunking the myth of masculinity’s inherent harm. The Positive Mindset Index was strongly influenced by men’s satisfaction with personal growth, with older men and those content with their health reporting higher mental positivity.

Notably, men who disagreed with negative statements about masculinity, such as hindering emotional expression, exhibited better mental outlooks, emphasizing the potential harm of using terms like “toxic masculinity.” The study indicates a generational shift in attitudes toward violence against women, with older men less likely to associate masculinity with violence.

Arizona Attorney General Promises to Prosecute County that Wants to Hand Count Ballots

Mohave County supervisors [are voting this week] to hand count all ballots cast in next year’s elections.

. . . Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes has long warned county officials across the state that they have no authority under state law to hand count ballots. Mayes, a Democrat, has pledged to restore trust in elections and prosecute individuals who threaten election officials.

She told Mohave County officials in a letter over the weekend that the “legal consequences would be serious” if they opted to hand count. She also expressed concern that supervisors had “received incorrect legal advice from bad-faith actors who are attempting to sow doubt in Arizona’s elections and ultimately undermine Arizona’s democratic process.”

Democratic Secretary of State Adrian Fontes told Mohave County supervisors in June that he also believes attempting a hand count would be illegal. . .

Two Cochise County supervisors are now being investigated by the Attorney General’s Office after attempting to hand count midterm results and delay certification last year.

Says She Heard It’s A ‘Possibility’ Tucker Carlson Could Be Trump’s VP Selection

A New York Times reporter said Monday she heard that former President Donald Trump could pick Tucker Carlson as his running mate for the 2024 election.

Political correspondent Maggie Haberman said during an interview on the Dispatch podcast that Trump was planning to assemble loyalists for a potential administration should he win the upcoming presidential election. Podcast host Jamie Weinstein then asked her about the rumors that Trump could pick Carlson, a co-founder of the Daily Caller and Daily Caller News Foundation, as his running mate.

“It’s a real thing that I am hearing as a possibility,” Haberman responded. “The likelihood of it, I don’t know. I think there will be a pretty professionalized vetting process, honestly. I know that might sound unbelievable based on what we’ve seen from Trump historically, but Trump’s current political team is the best — at least as a non-incumbent — that he’s had, and there’s just a different level of control.”

Carlson’s show with Fox News amassed huge ratings before the network announced his departure on April 24. After his departure, the ratings for the replacement show, “Fox News at Night,” declined until the network announced that Jesse Watters would move his show from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. to replace Carlson’s show. On Biden’s Birthday, Trump’s Doctor Issues a Bill of Good Health

Dr. Bruce Aronwald, a physician for Donald Trump, released a statement Monday afternoon about the former president’s current state of health.

“I have been President Donald J. Trump’s personal physician since 2021. During this time, I have conducted several comprehensive examinations, the most recent being September 13, 2023, and have supervised specialist consultations along with ancillary testing for screening and preventative health maintenance,” Aronwald said. “I am please to report that President Trump’s overall health is excellent. His physical exams were well within the normal range and his cognitive exams were exceptional. In addition, his most recent extensive laboratory analysis remains well within normal limits and was more favorable than prior testing in some of the most significant parameters, most likely secondary to weigh reduction.”

“Cardiovascular studies are all normal and cancer screening tests are all negative. President Trump has reduced his weight through an improved diet and continued daily physical activity, while maintaining a rigorous schedule,” he continued. “It is my opinion that President Trump is currently in excellent health, and with his continued interest in preventative health monitoring and maintenance, he will continue to enjoy a health active lifestyle for years to come.”

Will New NBC Poll Cause Biden to Abandon Israel?

More polls have been released, and that means more bad news for President Joe Biden. That includes polls from NBC News and Fox News, with the former being particularly telling when it comes to how the headline from NBC chalks it up to the Israel-Hamas war. As Townhall has covered ever since the October 7 terrorist attack, polls show that Americans overall support Israel, but that that support is dwindling, and that support from Democrats and young people is particularly lacking.

“President Joe Biden’s approval rating has declined to the lowest level of his presidency — 40% — as strong majorities of all voters disapprove of his handling of foreign policy and the Israel-Hamas war, according to the latest national NBC News poll,” the write-up began by mentioning. While just 40 percent approve of how Biden is handling his presidency, 57 percent disapprove.

To be sure, young people weren’t only quoted discussing what support Biden has had for Israel, but it was still mentioned, with the write-up noting that the 70 percent of those voters ages 18 to 34 who disapprove of Biden’s handling of the war is a “whopping” figure. . .

It’s worth wondering what that will take, though. Will Biden give up on Israel? His administration has already announced aid to Gaza, despite how it could be intercepted by Hamas, as well as renewed a waiver on sanctions so as to grant funding to Iran via purchases from Iraq. This is despite how Iran supported Hamas in the October 7 terrorist attack perpetrated against Israel. . .

There are also reports of Democrats now demanding that aid to Israel be conditioned, despite how every Senate Democrats and many House Democrats haven’t even approved such aid yet. While a standalone bill providing aid and paid for with IRS funding cuts passed the House with bipartisan support, Senate Democrats have blocked the bill multiple times.
