America’s Leading Cold Medicine Doesn’t Actually Work, FDA Advisers Say

Officials with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Tuesday that one of America’s leading cold medicines doesn’t actually work, following a review of the latest research on the subject.

Advisers to the FDA unanimously determined that phenylephrine, a decongestant found in most cold and allergy medicines such as Sudafed PE, Allegra and Dayquil was essentially no better in providing relief than a dummy pill, the Associated Press (AP) reported.

“Modern studies, when well conducted, are not showing any improvement in congestion with phenylephrine,” Dr. Mark Dykewicz, an allergy specialist at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine, told the outlet.

Advisory committee member Susan Blalock added that the evidence is “pretty compelling that this medication is not effective,” adding that she didn’t believe additional data was needed to support the conclusion, according to NBC News.

Listen: Citizens Call 911 on Biden Energy Secretary’s Staff for Blocking EV Charger

Audio of a 911 call made when U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm’s staff were blocking an electric vehicle (EV) charger has been released.

This week, NPR reported that Granholm’s recent four-day road trip from North Carolina to Tennessee encountered an unforeseen problem when a member of her advance team used a gas-powered vehicle to block an EV charging station in fear that her caravan would not be able to recharge when they reached their destination. As a result, a couple with a baby called the police, claiming that the parked car was preventing people from charging their vehicles.

“I’m calling because I’m in the Grovetown Walmart at the charging station and there’s literally a non-electric car that is taking up a space and said they’re holding the space for somebody else,” the woman said to the 911 dispatcher. “And it’s holding up a whole bunch of people who need to charge their cars.”

“There are other people who are waiting to charge and they’re still here and they’re not in electric cars,” she continued. “The sign says you can’t park here unless you’re charging.”

President Joe Biden Bows to Iran on 9/11: Pays $6 Billion for Five Americans in Exchange for Five Iranian Prisoners

The Biden administration has reportedly approved a deal with Iran to pay the rogue regime $6 billion in exchange for five detained American citizens.

The deal, according to the Associated Press (AP), entailed the Biden administration issuing a blanket waiver for international banks to transfer $6 billion in frozen Iranian money from South Korea to Qatar without U.S. sanctions. The money would then be held in Qatar’s central bank for Iran to use, reportedly for the purchase of humanitarian goods.

In addition, the Biden administration agreed to release five Iranian citizens held in the U.S.

According to the AP, Secretary of State Antony Blinken signed off on the deal late last week, but Congress was not notified of the deal until Monday, which was also 9/11, the 22nd anniversary of the U.S. suffering terrorist attacks by Islamic fundamentalists. Now Even the Left Recognizes Ukraine’s Counter-Offensive Has Failed. The Deep State Must Prepare for Humiliation

Time is running out for Ukraine. After 18 months of war, it is no longer a question of if the Western alliance will falter, but when. . .

Now, polls in both Europe and the US show public support for military aid to Kyiv dropping away, with one recent survey indicating that less than 50 per cent of Americans are in favor of additional funding. This at least partially reflects sluggish progress in Ukraine’s counter-offensive, which has seen only limited gains so far.

Western military analysts and the media built expectations that, this summer, Kyiv would repeat its striking victories of last autumn at Kharkiv and Kherson. Now, people are wondering how much bang they are getting for their buck, and whether the significant investment made by their countries will ever achieve anything concrete. . .

There is also growing disquiet about Ukrainian corruption, amplified by those voices who oppose American engagement in Europe for other reasons. . .

Biden will be exerting pressure on Kyiv to come to terms, sooner or later. . . Putin is only likely to play ball – though this is far from certain – provided he can keep the Ukrainian territory he has illegally annexed, and Ukraine’s NATO membership is kept permanently off the table. That would obviously be a disaster for Ukraine, but it would also be a defeat for NATO. . . If anything like this scenario plays out, a humiliated West will need a robust damage-limitation strategy. Biden ‘Plunged Into Sadness and Frustration’ After Collapse of Hunter’s Sweetheart Plea Deal: Report

President Joe Biden “plunged into sadness and frustration” because of the breakdown of a plea deal between his son, Hunter Biden, and the Justice Department, the New York Times reported Sunday.

More than a dozen people close to the Biden family told the Times that, following the deal’s collapse, conversations between father and son are “tinged with a resignation that was not there before.”

The sweetheart plea deal broke down after the Justice Department and Hunter Biden’s lawyers could not agree on its terms. The judge in the case then refused to accept a revised plea deal that would have offered Biden broad legal immunity. Special Counsel David Weiss has said that the Biden case may now be headed for a criminal trial.

That possibility left the president “stunned,” according to the Times.

The bond between Joe and Hunter Biden is nonetheless “ironclad,” the Times reported. Matt Gaetz Will Make His Move Against Kevin McCarthy: Report

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) will make his move against Speaker Kevin McCarthy on Tuesday, according to congressional reporter Annie Karni.

Gaetz has been at odds with McCarthy since the January battle for the Speaker’s chair. His group of lawmakers fought against McCarthy in the post, only agreeing to withdraw their opposition after some concessions.

“Gaetz plans to deliver a floor speech laying out a detailed case against McCarthy,” said Karni. “He isn’t expected to call for a motion to vacate, but he is laying the groundwork for a potential move to oust him if things reach that point.”

Bombshell Revelation: Secret Service Agent Who Was With JFK Raises New Questions About Assassination, ‘Magic Bullet’ Theory

A former Secret Service agent who was with President John F. Kennedy when he was assassinated in Dallas nearly 60 years ago has raised new questions about the infamous “magic bullet” theory and the possibility multiple shooters involved.

Paul Landis, now 88, was a young agent tasked with protecting first lady Jackie Kennedy as the president’s motorcade paraded through the city in 1963.

He recalls hearing the gunshot ring out in Dealy Plaza while he was walking just feet away from the president in 1963, he told The New York Times. He then heard an additional two shots and saw Kennedy keeled over in the back of the open limousine.

Landis said he had to duck down to avoid being splattered by brains.

From there, Landis’ account differs from the government’s official findings: In the ensuing chaos, he claims he picked up a bullet that was lodged in the back seat of the car where Kennedy had been sitting and placed it on the president’s hospital stretcher for investigators. Super Bowl Champion Coach Tony Dungy Corrects ‘Sportscenter’ Analysis of Coco Gauff Reaction: ‘She Was Praying’

Super Bowl champion head coach Tony Dungy had some choice words for ESPN’s “SportsCenter” X account on Saturday night after Coco Gauff won her first US Open title.

After Gauff defeated Aryna Sabalenka 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, the “SportsCenter” account wrote that the tennis phenom “took a moment to soak it all in after winning her first Grand Slam title.”

Dungy took aim at the account and asserted that Gauff was praying.

“I hate to break this to you SportsCenter but Coco Gauff was not ‘soaking it all in’ at this moment. She was praying. She has been very open about her Christian faith in the past. It seems pretty obvious what she is doing here,” Dungy wrote.

U.S. Marines Forced to Pick Up Afghanis’ Feces in Kabul Before Leaving in 2021

Before they were allowed to leave Kabul in August 2021, having just lost 13 comrades to a suicide bomber, Marines were ordered to pick up human feces and other disgusting trash at the airport so as to leave it pristine for the Taliban.

This humiliation is recounted for the first time in a new book, “Kabul: The Untold Story of Biden’s Fiasco and the American Warriors Who Fought to the End.”

The Kabul airport passenger terminal was filthy on Aug. 28, 2021, after the botched Afghanistan withdrawal. More than 120,000 Afghans had camped there for a week, “defecating and leaving trash, bags, clothes, and other unspeakable things.”

Marines at every level were infuriated at being “forced to scoop up human poop.” The order to clean “came with a threat that we would not leave at all if it was not completed,” one junior Marine told authors Jerry Dunleavy and James Hasson. Controlled Legacy Media Concedes Defeat: Ukraine’s Objectives ‘No Longer Aligned With’ West’s as Russia ‘No Longer a Threat’

Kyiv has received unprecedented military support to help it repel the Russian invaders – even though Ukraine is not a member of NATO. And, earlier in the summer, Rishi Sunak and Joe Biden stressed their “unwavering support” for Ukraine, with the president saying the US will help Kyiv for “as long as it takes”.

However, questions are now being asked about whether or not this stance is in the best interests of Britain, the United States and other NATO members. Especially given the huge financial cost of providing this support, during the aftermath of the Covid pandemic and amid a domestic cost of living crisis.

During a joint press conference with Sunak at the White House back in June, Biden was asked about hesitation over more funding for Ukraine among some lawmakers in the Republican Party. The president responded: “I believe we’ll have the funding necessary to support Ukraine as long as it takes. And I believe that that support will be real, even though you hear some voices today on Capitol Hill about whether or not we should continue to support Ukraine and for how long we should support them” . . .

Some analysts now believe that – as the war grinds on – continuing to write cheques for Ukraine may longer be in the West’s best interests. And a recent CNN poll shows that most Americans oppose Congress authorizing additional funding to support Ukraine.
