Poll: Majority of Americans Oppose Biden-McConnell Spending Binge on Ukraine Proxy War

A new CNN poll found that a majority of Americans oppose Congress sending more U.S. aid to Ukraine amid its ongoing conflict with Russia.

Released on Friday, the survey reveals that 55 percent of Americans “say the US Congress should not authorize additional funding to support Ukraine vs. 45% who say Congress should authorize such funding.” The poll additionally found a slight majority (51 percent) expressed sentiments that the U.S. “has already done enough” to help Ukraine in its effort to repel Russia’s invasion, a noticeable change from February 2022, when 62 percent believed America should have “been doing more.”

“When asked specifically about types of assistance the US could provide to Ukraine, there is broader support for help with intelligence gathering (63%) and military training (53%) than for providing weapons (43%), alongside very slim backing for US military forces to participate in combat operations (17%),” the poll found.

What’s also notable about the survey’s findings is the partisan divide on whether the U.S. should continue to financially support Ukraine. While a significant majority of Republicans believe Congress “should not authorize new funding” (71 percent) and that America has “done enough to assist Ukraine” (59 percent), Democrats believe the opposite, with 62 percent supporting more U.S. aid and 61 percent saying America should “do more.”

Most independent voters side with Republicans on such matters, with 55 percent opposing additional Ukraine funding and 56 percent saying the U.S. has “done enough.” (Read more from “Poll: Majority of Americans Oppose Biden-McConnell Spending Binge on Ukraine Proxy War” HERE)

AI-Piloted Jet Completes Successful Test Flight in Move Toward Collaborative Combat Aircraft Development: US Air Force

The United States Air Force announced last week the successful test flight of its first-ever unmanned artificial intelligence-piloted jet.

In a press release published on Thursday, the Air Force Research Laboratory stated that the three-hour test flight of the XQ-58A Valkyrie was a success. After two years of work, the flight occurred in late July at the Eglin Test and Training Complex in Florida.

The XQ-58A Valkyrie, developed by the AFRL, is “machine-learning trained” and operates using AI algorithms that “matured during millions of hours in high fidelity simulation events, sorties on the X-62 VISTA, Hardware-in-the-Loop events with the XQ-58A and ground test operations.”

Air Force AI Test and Operations Chief Col. Tucker Hamilton stated, “The mission proved out a multi-layer safety framework on an AI/ML-flown uncrewed aircraft and demonstrated an AI/ML agent solving a tactically relevant ‘challenge problem’ during airborne operations.”

“This sortie officially enables the ability to develop AI/ML agents that will execute modern air-to-air and air-to-surface skills that are immediately transferrable to other autonomy programs,” Hamilton added. Huge DeSantis Donor Says He May Pull the Plug on Supporting Campaign

The largest individual donor to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ presidential campaign effort has said he will stop donating to DeSantis unless changes are made to the campaign, according to a report by Reuters.

Robert Bigelow, a multimillionaire and owner of the Budget Suites of America, has donated over $20 million to the Never Back Down PAC, the principal super PAC supporting DeSantis’ campaign — accounting for two-thirds of the PAC’s fundraising in the first half of 2023. On Friday, Bigelow said that he would stop funding DeSantis’ campaign until it exhibited a more moderate policy platform, according to comments made to Reuters.

“He does need to shift to get to moderates. He’ll lose if he doesn’t. … Extremism isn’t going to get you elected,” Bigelow said, before adding that he wouldn’t donate more money “until I see that he’s able to generate more on his own. I’m already too big a percentage.”

Bigelow had previously contributed $10 million to DeSantis’ Florida gubernatorial reelection campaign in 2022, which at the time exceeded the sum of all donations he had received, NBC News reported. Bigelow once said he would “will give him more money and go without food,” to support DeSantis, according to Time Magazine.

In objecting to DeSantis’ campaign, Bigelow said he opposed Florida’s enactment of a “heartbeat” abortion law in April, which bans the aborting of pregnancies in the state after a fetal heartbeat is detected, usually after six weeks of pregnancy. Bigelow said that the threshold was too early and prohibited abortions even before many women know they are pregnant, Reuters reported. American-Trained Warlords Could Be Hours Away From Starting a Massive Conflict

West Africa is on the brink of armed conflict as a regional security bloc must decide whether to intervene against the junta leaders in Niger, at least one of whom previously trained under Department of Defense (DOD) programs.

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), a Nigeria-led economic and security group, set a Sunday ultimatum for the military officers who seized control of Niger in July to restore the ousted president under threat of force, according to Reuters. But the deadline passed without a change in Nigerien leadership, and the ruling elements of Niger’s security forces on Sunday announced pre-positioning of troops ahead of a possible ECOWAS invasion.

If launched, it would trigger the first conflict involving multiple countries on the continent in decades, according to Politico.

ECOWAS heads will discuss the matter Thursday.

“Niger’s armed forces and all our defense and security forces, backed by the unfailing support of our people, are ready to defend the integrity of our territory,” a junta representative said in a statement, according to Reuters. Judge Skeptical of Constitutionality of Grand Jury in Trump Classified Documents Case in Florida

A federal judge pressed special counsel Jack Smith on Monday to explain why he used a D.C. grand jury to investigate the Florida-based case against former President Donald Trump for mishandling of classified documents.

U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon is based in South Florida, where Mr. Smith filed an indictment against the former president and where the trial is expected. But the charges were brought based on the recommendation of a grand jury in Washington, causing Judge Cannon to question whether the move was constitutional.

In a brief order, Judge Cannon ordered prosecutors to “address the legal propriety of using an out-of-district grand jury proceeding to continue to investigate and/or seek post-indictment hearings on matters pertinent to the instant indicted matter in this district.”

Judge Cannon’s order was in response to the special counsel’s request for a hearing to examine a potential conflict of interest for an attorney for Walter Nauta, a Trump aide who has also been charged in the case. Appeals Court Upholds Josh Duggar’s Conviction for Downloading Child Sex Abuse Images

A federal appeals court on Monday upheld Josh Duggar’s conviction for downloading child sexual abuse images, rejecting the former reality television star’s argument that a judge should have suppressed statements he made to investigators during the search that found the images.

A three-judge panel of the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals rejected the appeal by Duggar, whose large family was the focus of TLC’s “19 Kids and Counting.” Duggar was convicted in 2021 and is serving a 12 1/2-year prison sentence.

Federal authorities investigated Duggar after Little Rock police detective found child sexual abuse material was being shared by a computer traced to Duggar. Investigators testified that images depicting the sexual abuse of children, including toddlers, were downloaded in 2019 onto a computer at a car dealership Duggar owned. Infographic: Summarizing the Allegations of Vote Fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election

Former President Trump has asserted that the results of the 2020 election were tainted by several factors. As a result, the Biden administration’s special counsel indicted Trump for expressing his concerns.

Aside from large-scale Democrat funding operations (e.g., “Zuckerbucks”); state Supreme Courts unconstitutionally altering the methods, times and places for voting; etc., there are additional and noteworthy allegations.

The following infographic summarizes the election-rigging claims.

Trump Calls for Recusal of Judge in Jan. 6 Case ‘On Very Powerful Grounds’

Former President Donald Trump claimed Sunday there is “no way” he’ll get a fair trial over the election-meddling indictment he faces — calling for a new venue and judge to oversee the federal case.

Trump, 77, said his lawyers will be asking for the recusal of Washington DC federal court Judge Tanya Chutkan — who is overseeing the case regarding the ex-president’s alleged attempts to thwart the 2020 election — “on very powerful grounds.”

“THERE IS NO WAY I CAN GET A FAIR TRIAL WITH THE JUDGE ‘ASSIGNED’ TO THE RIDICULOUS FREEDOM OF SPEECH/FAIR ELECTIONS CASE,” Trump posted Sunday morning on Truth Social.

“EVERYBODY KNOWS THIS, AND SO DOES SHE! WE WILL BE IMMEDIATELY ASKING FOR RECUSAL OF THIS JUDGE ON VERY POWERFUL GROUNDS, AND LIKEWISE FOR VENUE CHANGE, OUT IF D.C.,” he added.

Chutkan, who did not oversee the former president’s arraignment Thursday but is presiding over the case, has a reputation for being a harsh “punisher” of Trump supporters who stormed the US Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. LGBTQ Activist Org Awards Thousands to Schools Across the Country to Promote Gender Ideology

An LGBTQ activist organization awarded more than 70 public and charter schools throughout the U.S. and Canada thousands of dollars to promote gender ideology, support “Gender Sexuality Alliance” (GSA) clubs and put on Pride Week celebrations, according to the group’s website.

Throughout 2023, the “It Gets Better Project” has awarded at least 56 U.S. and 15 Canadian public and charter schools $10,000 each for a total of $625,000 in grants to fund LGBTQ initiatives, according to the organization’s website. Some school districts throughout the country are using the grants they received to fund “gender transition closets” and work with with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a group that describes itself as a “leading-edge Order of queer and trans nuns,” to take transgender students “back-to-school shopping.”

“The group is funding programs and curricula that are inappropriate for children and certainly inappropriate for classrooms in public schools,” Erika Sanzi, director of operations at Parents Defending Education (PDE), told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “The fact that they funded a program for a public school to work with the anti-Catholic organization Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence shows that the group is more than willing to work with those who practice bigotry against Americans who think and believe differently from them.”

Impact Academy of Arts and Technology, a charter school in California, was awarded a grant to work with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to host a “back-to-school shopping” event for transgender and nonbinary students, the “It Gets Better Project” states. The charter school is also using the grant to create a gender-transitioning “wardrobe” and host an LGBTQ+ community day.

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence came under fire after a Major League Baseball team, the Los Angeles Dodgers, announced they would honor the group at its annual Pride night. (Read more from “LGBTQ Activist Org Awards Thousands to Schools Across the Country to Promote Gender Ideology” HERE)
