Biden’s Latest Effort to Make Everything You Need More Expensive

The Supreme Court saved consumers billions of dollars from higher prices when, less than a year ago, it struck down the Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Power Plan rule, which would have shut down hundreds of coal and gas power plants nationwide.

Now, under President Joe Biden’s direction, the EPA is back with a new regulatory scheme designed to accomplish the same result through more direct means. The end result should be the same. The Supreme Court will again strike down Biden’s illegal usurpation of congressional power, saving consumers billions of dollars in higher energy costs.

The last time the EPA tried to shut down coal and gas power plants, it used the 1970 Clean Air Act to establish an industrywide carbon cap-and-trade system for electricity production. This Clean Power Plan did not identify how specific power plants should cut carbon emissions, but the plan required them to do so and created a market for them to offset emissions by investing in clean power or buying carbon emission allowances. The scheme closely resembled a cap-and-trade plan that Congress had just rejected. Seven years later, in West Virginia v. EPA, the court invalidated the CPP, holding that the Clean Air Act was not intended to create an industrywide cap-and-trade regime for any one pollutant and that the EPA was exceeding its statutory authority by creating one for carbon.

This time, the EPA has abandoned its cap-and-trade approach and is instead following more closely to the original design of the Clean Air Act. Under this, the EPA may identify a “best system of emission reduction” for a pollutant and then force power plants to adopt it. This usually means installing a proven pollution control technology. FDA Drops Special Blood Donor Assessments for Gay People

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ended special requirements for gay blood donors Thursday and will now use the same eligibility questionnaire for all donors regardless of sexual orientation, according to a press release.

Under the new rules, every blood donor will be asked the same questions about recent sexual history and time-based deferrals for men who have sex with men and women who have sex with women will be eliminated, according to the FDA. The agency predicts this will result in a larger pool of blood donors.

Every donor, regardless of sexual orientation, will be asked whether they have had sex with a new sexual partner or multiple partners in the past three months, and those who have will then be asked if they have had anal sex in the last three months; those who say yes to both prompts will be deferred from donating, according to the FDA. Prospective blood donors will be able to give blood regardless of sexual orientation so long as they say no to both prompts.

Levi’s to Expand ‘Gender Fluid’ Clothing Line

The woke CEO of the iconic clothing brand Levi’s has watched the fallout from Bud Light’s partnership with trans-identifying influencer Dylan Mulvaney — and it seems he wants to follow suit.

On Wednesday, Levi’s CEO Chip Bergh, 65, attended Axios BFD, a “dealmaker summit” designed to bring together “the biggest influencers, disruptors and newsmakers in the deal-making world.” While there, he was asked about branding in light of Bud Light’s controversial “marketing stunt” with Mulvaney. “How do you market products in a world where people are more aware of their gender identities?” wondered Hope King of Axios.

Bergh’s response was surprising. Though Bud Light sales have cratered since Mulvaney promoted the beer in a couple of social media videos in early April, Bergh announced that Levi’s will continue to grow its small “gender fluid” clothing line to satisfy “consumer appetite.”

“We are building out slowly,” Bergh said. “It started with a small collection of gender neutral or gender fluid line — and there’s definitely consumer appetite for that. And we’re there for that.”

“We know that some women buy some men’s products and some men buy women’s products,” Bergh explained. “We know that that goes on. We’ve got the research and the data to show it. (Read more from “Levi’s to Expand ‘Gender Fluid’ Clothing Line” HERE)

Federal Agents Placed on Standby in Case of Riots as Title 42 Ends

After days of panic, with thousands of migrants crossing over the southern border in a last-minute attempt to claim asylum before the rules changed, Title 42 has ended.

In the final hours before the pandemic-era measure expired, forces along the border fortified their posts with barbed wire, concrete barriers and heavily armed teams patrolling their front lines.

Agents in tactical gear also performed rehearsals for how to deal with rioters or mobs, should migrants attempt to descend en masse across the border.

Federal agents also remain on standby in case of riots, sources told The Post.

But after Title 42 ended at midnight, border crossings in Texas and California remained quiet — with migrants remaining on the Mexican side of the border awaiting to be processed. (Read more from “Federal Agents Placed on Standby in Case of Riots as Title 42 Ends” HERE)

Here We Go: Biden to Mass Release Illegal Aliens Onto American Streets

The Biden administration plans to release countless illegal immigrants, potentially hundreds-of-thousands of individuals, into American communities as Title 42 ends Thursday and the U.S.-Mexico border becomes completely overwhelmed.

“The head of U.S. Border Patrol has sent out a memo authorizing the release of illegal migrants into the U.S. without court dates if agents face overcrowding as the Biden administration scrambles to deal with a historic surge in migration at the border ahead of the end of Title 42,” Fox News reports. “The memo says that migrants can allowed into the country on parole — a process typically reserved for ‘urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit’ — if CBP faces overcrowding. The memo calls the practice ‘parole with conditions’ as migrants are required to make an appointment with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) or request a Notice to Appear by mail.”

“Under a parole release, migrants are rapidly released into the country, do not get an alien registration number and do not receive a court date,” the report continues.

In anticipation of the mass release, Florida issued a lawsuit against the Biden administration for the move and is also ramping up penalties against illegal immigrants who use false or stolen identification.

“Florida seeks a temporary restraining order to preserve the status quo until the parties can brief motions for a preliminary injunction or to postpone the effective date of the new policy. The Biden Administration’s behavior, if left unchecked, makes a mockery of our system of justice and our Constitution. Florida asks the Court to order a response by 4 p.m. Eastern daylight time and to rule on this motion by 11:59 p.m. Eastern daylight time, when the Title 42 order expires,” the lawsuit states. Trump Goes off on CNN Host During Town Hall; Joe Biden After Trump Town Hall: ‘Do You Want Four More Years of That?’

By Townhall. Former President Trump criticized CNN host Kaitlan Collins during a town hall, calling her a “nasty person.”

During Wednesday’s event, Collins questioned Trump over his handling of classified documents, which he said he had “the right” to declassify any records.

“Are you ready? Can I talk?” After the host asked him why he kept the documents despite a subpoena and requests from the National Archives, Trump asked him.

“What’s the answer?” Collins asked.” I would like you to answer the question.” . . .

“It’s very simple – you’re a nasty person, I’ll tell ya,” Trump responded as the crowd cheered. (Read more from “Trump Goes off on CNN Host During Town Hall” HERE)

Joe Biden After Trump Town Hall: ‘Do You Want Four More Years of That?’

By Breitbart. Joe Biden fundraised off of former President Donald Trump’s CNN town hall appearance on Wednesday, asking people if they “want four more years of that?”

“It’s simple, folks. Do you want four more years of that? If you don’t, pitch in to our campaign,” the president tweeted Wednesday night.

As Breitbart News reported, former President Donald Trump largely dominated the CNN town hall on Wednesday as he blew through Kaitlan Collins’ questioning and speaking almost unopposed:

Former President Donald Trump steamrolled CNN’s Kaitlan Collins during Wednesday’s Townhall event in New Hampshire, dismissing her politically biased and outdated questions, effectively reducing her role as the moderator by speaking directly to the audience about the “gotcha” topics a visibly irritated Collins continually posed throughout the night.

The highly anticipated townhall event, teased by Trump, boded well for the former president, despite Collins’s attempt to begin the event with a series of contentious topics and arguably outdated leftist narratives — from the 2020 election results to January 6 to accusations in the E. Jean Carroll case. Notably, Trump received a standing ovation at his introduction.

George Santos Rages Against Indictment

Embattled Republican Congressman George Santos has vowed to defeat a litany of charges issued as part of a new 13-count indictment, calling himself the victim of a “witch hunt” during a tumultuous press conference outside a courthouse in Central Islip, New York.

The charges filed by the U.S. Attorney’s office in the Eastern District of New York against him are seven counts of wire fraud, three counts of money laundering, one count of theft of public funds, and two counts of making materially false statements to the House of Representatives.

Santos was elected in November and almost instantly drew attention when multiple stories came out about his personal and professional past, swiftly changing the minds of his district’s voters and leading to calls for resignations.

The first-term Republican initially described his lies as “embellishments,” among them not graduating from college, not working for Goldman Sachs, not owning 13 properties, and misrepresenting a Jewish heritage.

Could AI Become the World’s Weatherman?

Artificial intelligence already has a lengthy track record in the field of weather prediction, where it has helped prognosticators make faster, more accurate forecasts for nearly three decades.

But now, AI has the potential to take the next step when it comes to predicting sun, rain, wind and snow by doing the work on its own, without using various models that human forecasters have relied on for generations.

Hendrik Tolman, senior adviser for advanced modeling systems at the National Weather Service, told Fox News Digital this possibility is now on the horizon and is actively being explored.

“Companies like Nvidia and IBM have made a lot of progress the last six months or 12 months in trying to see how they can use AI to do the same as our big computer models are doing, to provide a prediction for the future just based on AI rather than going through a computer model,” Tolman said.

“Or having AI emulate as if you have even more models and get a better idea about how to merge all the data we have. (Read more from “Could AI Become the World’s Weatherman?” HERE)

FBI Refuses to Give Congress Informant File Alleging Biden Took Bribes as Vice President

The FBI has refused to give Congress an informant file alleging that President Biden took bribes while he was vice president, The Post has learned — setting up a possible showdown over access to the information.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) issued a legally binding subpoena last week requiring the FBI to turn over the file by noon Wednesday, but the bureau instead replied with a six-page letter raising various objections.

“Information from confidential human sources is unverified and, by definition, incomplete,” wrote FBI acting assistant director for congressional affairs Christopher Dunham, who also argued that informant reports must also be kept private to protect sources.

“As is clear from the name itself, confidentiality is definitional to the FBI’s Confidential Human Source program,” Dunham wrote. “Confidential human sources often provide information to the FBI at great risk to themselves and their loved ones. The information they provide also can create significant risks to others who may be referenced in their reporting.” (Read more from “FBI Refuses to Give Congress Informant File Alleging Biden Took Bribes as Vice President” HERE)
