Man Says Tesla Has Locked Him Out of Car Until He Pays $26,000

A Tesla owner in Canada said the battery on his $140,000 vehicle died and that the electric automaker told him a replacement would cost him $26,000 and has locked him out of the vehicle until he gets a new one.

Mario Zelaya posted a video on TikTok saying his “piece of trash” car died and that the car is locked, preventing him from being able to get in. The caption on the video reads: “$26K for a new battery. Locked out of car. Recalls are needed.”

He said he purchased the car in 2013 but said models from that year and 2014 has issues with fluid from the air conditioning system leaking onto the battery.

Twitter Could Face Billions in Fines Over Not Protecting Minors From Porn: Ex-FTC Officials

Twitter has reportedly failed to adequately police underage pornography across its social network — a mess posing the risk of a federal investigation that could cost the company billions of dollars in fines, The Post has learned.

The embattled social media site — which is in the middle of a court battle with Elon Musk to enforce an agreement to sell him the company for $44 billion — may have broken a so-called consent decree with the Federal Trade Commission when the company reportedly found in an internal study this year that it doesn’t adequately stop underage users from viewing and uploading porn, two former FTC officials told The Post.

Specifically, Twitter executives reportedly found in an internal study the company lacked adequate controls to prevent underage users from both accessing and uploading pornography, according to an Aug. 30 story in the Verge, which cited an internal Twitter team’s findings. Unlike other major social media companies, Twitter allows porn on its site.

The internal researchers reportedly said the site also is unable to consistently detect banned content such as child porn, revenge porn and non-consensual “upskirt” photos once it’s uploaded to the site.

Horrifying Security Camera Footage Shows Robber ‘Executed’ a ‘Very Gracious’ Store Clerk: Police

A horrifying video showed a murder that unfolded in Tupelo, Mississippi, at a convenience store on Sunday where a “very gracious” man working at the store was allegedly “executed” by the suspect, police said.

The Daily Journal reported that police charged 26-year-old Chris Copeland with capital murder for allegedly shooting 33-year-old Parmvir Singh in the back of the head after ordering him to get on the floor of the Chevron Food Mart.

Tupelo Police Detective Wes Kloac said that security camera footage from inside the store showed the suspect walking into the store, pulling a gun out of his waistband, and pointing it at Singh. . .

“The clerk is very gracious and even gave him a stack of money he didn’t ask for,” Kloac testified. “He opened the safe for him and gave him a bank bag.”

The video showed Singh get on the floor and the suspect jumping over the counter. “(The suspect) then walked up behind Mr. Singh and, at point blank range, executed him,” Kloac said. Facebook Spied on Conservative Users’ Private Messages, Fed ‘Leads’ to the FBI: Report

Facebook reportedly spied on the private messages of “conservative right-wing individuals” and provided redacted data “leads” to the FBI’s domestic terrorism unit, sources familiar with the matter told the New York Post.

The social media giant has collaborated with the FBI for the past 19 months, sources told the Post. Those who have been reported to the bureau are individuals who have questioned the results of the 2020 presidential election as well as expressed “anti-government” or “anti-authority sentiments,” sources told the outlet.

“It was done outside the legal process and without probable cause,” a source who spoke on condition of anonymity claimed to the Post. “Facebook provides the FBI with private conversations which are protected by the First Amendment without any subpoena.”

Martha’s Vineyard Laughably Declares ‘Humanitarian Crisis’ Over 50 Illegal Aliens

After Florida Governor Ron DeSantis delivered roughly 50 illegal immigrants to swanky Martha’s Vineyard — much to the dismay of liberals — the island community that’s home to the Obamas and a Who’s Who of other elites has declared the situation to be a crisis.

While Democrats insist that there’s no border crisis — despite a record number of got-aways, migrant deaths, and border apprehensions — their friends on Martha’s Vineyard have decided 50 illegal immigrants are just too much to handle, despite being a proclaimed sanctuary.

When the “Visit Martha’s Vineyard” tweeted out “an update on current humanitarian crisis” they say is occurring on the island, it was quickly met with mockery.

Biden Administration Intentionally Weakening Military: Retired General

When the United States acts, the world is always watching, and one of the loudest messages since President Joe Biden took office came from how the United States handled its withdrawal from Afghanistan in August 2021.

What message did that send globally to other government leaders who may see America as an adversary? That was a question asked by Tony Perkins, president of Family Research Council, during a panel discussion Thursday about America’s role on the world stage at the Pray Vote Stand Summit in Atlanta hosted by FRC Action, the legislative affiliate of Family Research Council.

“I think that will go down in history as the worst foreign policy failure in U.S. history. Every decision that was made was wrong,” said Lt. General (Ret.) William Boykin, executive vice president at Family Research Council. “What did that say to the rest of the world? It said that we have weak leadership. And you have to ask yourself, why did Vladimir Putin refrain from attacking Ukraine during the Trump administration? And then he went in with barrels blazing, under the Biden administration, and I will tell you, I think a lot of that goes back to the weakness that people—both our adversaries and our friends—recognized in the Biden administration.”

Other countries recognize that the Biden administration is weak and indecisive on many issues, he said, not just how the U.S. military left Afghanistan.

Boykin mentioned Biden’s approach to the Paris climate change treaty and his efforts to get the United States back into the Iran nuclear deal, formally called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Medical Review: Government Leaders Failed in COVID Response

Governments across the globe showed themselves to be “untrustworthy and ineffective” in their response to the COVID-19 pandemic, a medical journal said in a scathing report that said leaders were slow to react to the virus and forge a coordinated response.

The Lancet COVID-19 Commission also said global leaders should keep digging into the source of the virus after inconclusive investigations into whether the pathogen spilled over from animals or leaked from a Chinese lab.

The report faulted governments and public health agencies for failing to recognize the threat of the virus early on, amid reports of a mysterious illness in Wuhan, China, and the role of airborne transmission during the early months of the pandemic.

The commission faulted the lack of coordination among nations in combatting the virus, the lack of funding and support for poor countries, delays in gathering data on infections and variants and the failure to combat bogus information — often online —about the virus and mitigation measures. Biden Repeats Charlottesville ‘Fine People Hoax’ at ‘Unity Summit’

President Joe Biden repeated the Charlottesville “fine people hoax” on Thursday at his “unity summit,” falsely claiming that then-President Donald Trump referred to neo-Nazis as “very fine people. Trump said they should be “condemned totally.”

Biden spoke after Susan Bro, the mother of Heather Heyer, the left-wing protester who was murdered by a neo-Nazi during the unrest in Charlottesville in August 2017.

There were peaceful protests on either side of the question of whether to remove a statute of Confederate general Robert E. Lee, but these were overtaken by right-wing extremist groups and left-wing rioters who clashed in the streets. Heyer was murdered when a neo-Nazi purposely drove his car into a peaceful left-wing protest.

President Trump issued three statements on the violence. In the first, he condemned violence on “all sides.” In the second, he specifically condemned neo-Nazi groups, white supremacists, and the KKK. In the third, during a press conference, he said that there had been “very fine people” in Charlottesville, but made clear he was referring to peaceful protesters like Heyer. He said specifically: “I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally.”

The “fine people hoax” has been publicly debunked several times: for example, by then-Vice President Mike Pence at the 2020 vice-presidential debate; and again during the second impeachment trial of (by then) former President Trump.

Biden Open Border–Comes to Kamala! Texas Buses Illegals to Veep Home

Vice President Kamala Harris, appointed border czar by President Joe Biden, snubbed border crossers who arrived at her residence in Washington, DC, from Texas on Thursday.

The border crossers were sent on migrant buses as part of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s (R) operation, which has sent thousands of people arriving at the United States-Mexico border to sanctuary jurisdictions like New York City, Chicago, and Washington, DC, in recent months.

As promised, Abbott sent the latest string of migrant buses to Harris’s residence, the Naval Observatory in Washington, DC, though they were not greeted by the vice president despite her years of advocating on behalf of border crossers and illegal aliens. MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell Claimed the FBI Seized His Phone

By Business Insider. During a Facebook broadcast Tuesday night, MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell claimed the FBI had been “weaponized” against him when it executed a search warrant to seize his phone.

According to a copy of a subpoena uploaded by Lindell, federal agents took his cellphone Tuesday as part of a warrant seeking records related to the “authorization or lack of authorization to damage or modify any Dominion computerized voting system.” The investigation was also related to “any attempted misappropriation, theft, conversion, transfer, or exfiltration of any proprietary hardware, software or other data” related to the voting machines.

The FBI didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

In a comment to The Daily Beast, the Denver FBI field office said “without commenting on this specific matter, I can confirm that the FBI was at that location executing a search warrant authorized by a federal judge.”

“They want to know about Dominion and Mesa County in Colorado,” Lindell told Insider, referring to the investigation into Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters, a pro-Trump Colorado election official accused of facilitating an election-data leak. DOJ Issues More Than 30 Subpoenas to Trump Associates: Source

By Fox News. The Department of Justice has issued a flurry of over 30 subpoenas to aides of former President Donald Trump, a source familiar with the federal investigation confirmed to Fox News.

The Justice Department also seized phones from two top Trump advisers in the investigation, which aims to probe Trump’s unsubstantiated claims of a rigged 2020 presidential election.

The dozens of new subpoenas mark a rapid escalation in pressure applied to the Trump camp by the DOJ.

The Justice Department is investigating allegations of phony Electoral College certifications from 2020 that declared Republicans were the electors voting for Trump and Mike Pence when in fact Democrats had won and voted for President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Timothy Parlatore, an attorney for Trump confidant and former New York Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik, confirmed that Kerik received a subpoena last Tuesday to appear before a federal grand jury in Washington, D.C., on Friday, Sept. 23.
