Sarah Sanders: President Trump Has Made It Clear to Putin He Should Stay out of Our Elections

Speaking during the White House press briefing Wednesday, the first held in two weeks, Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said President Trump told Russian President Vladimir Putin to stay out of U.S. elections during their two hour private meeting in Helsinki Monday. . .

“We certainly believe that we are taking steps to make sure they can’t do it again,” Sanders said. “We believe that the threat still exists which is why we are taking steps to prevent it.”

“The President and his administration are working very hard to make sure that Russia is unable to meddle in our elections as they have done in the past and as we have stated,” she continued. . .

“Russia’s already yesterday named several Americans who they want to question who they claim were involved in, quote, unquote, crimes, in their terms, including a former ambassador to Russia, Michael McFaul. Does President Trump support that idea? Is he open to having US officials questioned by Russia?” asked the New York Times White House reporter Maggie Haberman asked.

“There was some conversation about it, but there wasn’t a commitment made on behalf of the United States. The president will work with his team and we’ll let you know if there is an announcement on that front,” Sanders said. Congressman Drops Bombshell About Lisa Page Testimony

By The Daily Wire. Congressional leaders have praised the testimony of former FBI agent Lisa Page in recent days and have said that they found her testimony to be very credible as some of them claim she gave a very different account of events than her former lover, disgraced FBI agent Peter Strzok.

Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-TX) told Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo that there were “significant differences” in Page’s testimony compared to the testimony given by Strzok and that she gave congressional investigators new information they did not previously have.

“In many cases, she admits that the text messages mean exactly what they say, as opposed to Agent Strzok, who thinks that we’ve all misinterpreted his own words on any text message that might be negative,” Ratcliff told reporters on Monday, according to ABC News.

Rep. Steve King (R-IA) agreed with Ratcliffe’s statement, saying, “She’s certainly more cooperative than Peter Strzok was and the pieces of information filled in some blanks along the way, but we’ve got a huge jigsaw puzzle to put together.” . . .

[Louie] Gohmert then took a shot at former CIA Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, saying, “When I hear Brennan or Clapper either saying the kind of things they’ve been saying recently, then it tells me, wow, we must be getting close to them. Those guilty dogs are barking pretty loud.” (Read more from “Congressman Drops Bombshell About Lisa Page Testimony” HERE)

Former FBI Lawyer Lisa Page Said Anti-Trump Texts With Peter Strzok ‘Mean Exactly What They Say’

By Townhall. Yesterday was day two of testimony from former FBI lawyer Lisa Page, who was also the mistress of disgraced FBI Agent Peter Strzok. The two sent tens of thousands of texts, anti-Trump in nature during some of the most politically sensitive investigations the FBI has undertaken in recent memory: the Clinton email probe and the counterintelligence investigation into whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians. Strzok was a key player in both investigations. Throughout 2016, the two sent texts that have raised eyebrows and questioned the credibility of the FBI’s impartiality. From “we’ll stop it” and an “insurance policy,” both referring to the Trump presidency, GOP lawmakers want to know what Strzok meant. The insurance policy is allegedly the Trump dossier, which was a campaign opposition research file compiled by former MI6 spy Christopher Steele, who was hired by Fusion GPS during the 2016 election; Fusion was hired by the Clinton campaign to find dirt on Trump. That document was allegedly used to secure a FISA warrant to spy on Trump’s former foreign policy adviser Carter Page.

Strzok’s testimony last week before Congress was a rodeo fraught with drama, as Democrats kept interrupting, some GOP members bringing up Strzok’s extramarital affair with Page, and other acts of insanity. Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) said he would have given Strzok a Purple Heart. Strzok was combative, said his anti-Trump texts were an expression of “deep patriotism,” and that his “we’ll stop it” text was made in reference to Trump’s remarks about Gold Star parent Khizr Khan. It was ridiculous. Strzok’s main point was that his biased texts weren’t evidence of bias.

For Page, there were no fireworks. No explosive moments that we know of since it was behind closed doors. Yet, House Republicans found her testimony credible and respected her willingness to get to the truth. Her testimony on Friday did, however, raise concerns with Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) concerning whether the FBI was driving towards a desired outcomeon the Russia investigation. Now, Page reportedly told House members that those anti-Trump texts meant exactly what they mean, according to Rep. John Ratcliff (R-TX). President Trump Says He Misspoke With Putin: I Have Full Faith in America’s Intelligence Agencies

Speaking at the White House Tuesday afternoon, President Trump clarified remarks he made during a joint press briefing with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki Monday.

The president said he accepts U.S. intelligence analysis that Russia did in fact interfere in the 2016 presidential election through propaganda, while stating there was no collusion between the Kremlin and his campaign. He said his administration is doing everything possible to prevent Russian meddling in future elections.

“I have full faith in our intelligence agencies,” Trump said. “I accept our intelligence community conclusion that Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election took place.”

After clarifying his remarks, Trump reiterated the progress he believes was made with Putin during a two hour long private meeting between the two leaders.

Alan Dershowitz Says Russian Indictments Are Proof a Special Counsel Is Unnecessary

Civil liberty icon Alan Dershowitz said Friday that the indictments against Russians officials in the special counsel’s investigation into election interference are proof that the special counsel was unnecessary. . .

Dershowitz said on Fox News that the indictments could have been pursued by other than a special counsel investigation. He was asked to respond to a tweet from Rudy Giuliani, President Donald Trump’s lawyer, opining that the special counsel investigation needs to be shut down. . .

“This indictment could have been brought by ordinary prosecutors, ordinary FBI agents, there’s no conflict here, it’s Russians they are going after,” he added. “There’s no president, there’s no people around the president, there’s no conflict between the attorney general and the deputy attorney general, and Americans, it’s all Russians.”

“Why do we need to spend twenty, thirty, forty million dollars, have special counsel appointed, to do a routine national security investigation, number one?” he asked.

“Number two we’ll never find out the extent of the guilt of these people because of course they’re never gonna go on trial,” he continued. “They’re indicted but they’ll never go on trial.”

Republicans Are Finally Taking Action Against Rod Rosenstein – Here’s What They Plan

According to a report in Politico, Republican lawmakers are planning to finally take action against Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein after months of scathing critiques and castigation. . .

The deputy attorney general made headlines Friday even as Republicans were planning to begin the process to oust him, when he announced new indictments against numerous Russian officers for interfering in the 2016 U.S. election. . .

President Donald Trump and his allies have excoriated Rosenstein because he refuses to rein in the investigation into Russian election interference and alleged collusion. As the second in line in power behind Attorney General Jeff Sessions, the investigation falls under Rosenstein’s supervision after Sessions recused himself. . .

Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) tore into Sessions when he defended Rosenstein from accusations that he threatened Republican members of Congress and staff with subpoena of their emails and other documents.

“For the attorney general to say he’s confident that Rod Rosenstein did everything right,” Meadows angrily said on Fox News, “well, I’m confident he doesn’t know what he’s talking about!” (Read more from “Republicans Are Finally Taking Action Against Rod Rosenstein – Here’s What They Plan” HERE)

Watch: Strzok’s Most Ridiculous Claim, Trey Gowdy Slams Him for It

By The Federalist. In a fiery exchange between Rep. Trey Gowdy and FBI agent Peter Strzok during a House committee hearing Thursday morning, the FBI agent claimed he was unbiased despite sending numerous text messages lambasting then-presidential candidate Donald Trump while leading investigations into Trump.

When Gowdy asked Strzok why he got kicked off the investigation into whether Trump colluded with Russian officials in order to steal the election from Hillary Clinton in 2016, the FBI agent repeatedly insisted that it wasn’t because he was biased against the president.

“It is not my understanding that [Robert Mueller] kicked me off because of any bias,” Strzok said. “It was done based on the appearance. If you want to represent what you said accurately, I’m happy to answer that question, but I don’t appreciate what was originally said being changed.”

“I don’t give a damn what you appreciate, agent Strzok,” Gowdy shot back. “I don’t appreciate having an F.B.I. agent with an unprecedented level of animus working on two major investigations during 2016.”

At the end of his time questioning Strzok, another congressman intervened to give the FBI agent time to respond — which is when things really started to get interesting.

Gowdy: Agent Strzok Can Not See or Understand His Own Bias

By Real Clear Politics. [Trey Gowdy transcript:]

. . .

In March of 2016, Agent Strzok had Clinton winning 100 million to zero, even though the investigation was far from being over. That is the prejudging of someone’s innocence before all the evidence is in.

. . . Strzok promised to stop Trump from becoming president before the investigation even began. He talked, longingly, of Trump resigning two months after he was inaugurated and well before the special counsel investigation even began.

Strzok even talked about impeachment the day the special counsel was appointed. That is prejudging guilt, it is prejudging punishment, and it is textbook bias. We live in a 50/50 country and we accept that. But we’re a 100 percent country when it comes to having law enforcement that doesn’t prejudge innocence before investigations are over and doesn’t prejudge guilt and punishment before an investigation even begins.

Agent Strzok had Hillary Clinton winning the White House before he finished investigating her. Agent Strzok had Donald Trump impeached before he even started investigating him. That is bias.

Agent Strzok may not see it, but the rest of the country does. And it’s not what we want, expect, or deserve from any law enforcement officer, much less the FBI. A fair, bias-free investigation is not a Republican or Democrat issue, it’s an American issue. Or at least it used to be.

Pandemonium: GOP Congressman Hits Strzok on Extramarital Affair and Democrats Went Ballistic

Crank it up to eleven. The intense hearing—that is still ongoing—between members of the House Judiciary Committee and disgraced FBI Agent Peter Strzok. Mr. Strzok engaged in an extramarital affair with former FBI lawyer Lisa Page. They sent tens of thousands of texts, almost all of them anti-Trump. Strzok was involved in two key FBI investigations, the Russia investigation and the Hillary Clinton email probe, and this bias has been the subject of controversy within the halls of the FBI and the Department of Justice. The whole hearing has been combative, a delicious circus with Republican members leveling legitimate criticism as Strzok, dotted with Democrats interrupting lines of questioning, and desperately trying to pivot to other issues. It’s a circus. It will go down as a great day in political theater.

Yet, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) decided to go there this afternoon, mentioning his affair with Page, which drew loud objections from Democrats.

“You’ve embarrassed yourself, and I can’t help but wonder when I see you looking there with a little smirk, how many times did you look so innocent into your wife’s eye and lie to her about Lisa,” Gohmert said to Strzok—and then all hell broke loose (via Washington Examiner):

“Mr. Chairman, this is outrageous!” one Democrat shouted.

“Do you need your medication?” a female Democrat shouted at Gohmert.

Witness Claims Federal Agents Bragged About Murdering Seth Rich; Family Condemns ‘Conspiracy Theories’

By Big League Politics. A witness claimed Tuesday that he heard a Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) witness and an Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) agent discussing how they killed Seth Rich, the leaker of internal DNC emails to WikiLeaks, in the summer of 2016 right before the Democratic National Convention.

Lobbyist Jack Burkman, who said that he was recently shot while investigating the case, presented the witness at the Holiday Inn in Rosslyn. The witness is masked and had his voice disguised when audio of his statement played at the press conference set up by Burkman.

Similar theories have pointed to two MS-13 members who were allegedly hired by the federal government to kill Rich in the wee morning hours near his D.C. apartment. But this witness makes it clear that DEA and ATF boasted about their role in the assassination.

(The investigator begins talking a little after the 19 minute mark; the alleged witness begins speaking at 33:50)

Seth Rich’s Parents Condemn Conspiracy Theorists on Anniversary of Murder

By Washington Examiner. The parents of slain Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich on Tuesday condemned conspiracy theorists who are pushing false information two years after the death of their son.

“We would like to remind those who are not law enforcement officials who claim to be helping by conducting ‘investigations’ are not helping at all,” Joel and Mary Rich wrote.

Rich’s parents said the people spreading conspiracy theories are interfering with the official police investigation into their son’s murder.

Outrage Overload: This Is How Liberals Went Berserk Over Trump’s SCOTUS Nominee

Last night, President Donald J. Trump selected Judge Brett Kavanaugh of the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals to be our next associate justice for the Supreme Court. He’ll be filling the vacancy left by retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy. It was a highly anticipated decision. The composition of the Court will lead decidedly towards the right if Kavanaugh is confirmed. Hearings are scheduled for the summer, with final vote in early October—just in time for the midterms.

Yet, even before the announcement was made, the Left was going berserk. They had a full-blown meltdown when Kennedy announced his retirement shortly after the official end of the 2017 term. The news broke a little after Janus v. AFSCME was decided, dealing a blow to public sector unions squeezing non-union members for dues. It’s now an unconstitutional practice to force non-members to pony up money for activities they don’t support—and labor unions do a lot of that. The chances of an aftershock post-SCOTUS announcement were high, and it’s still not over. We should expect more insanity today and for most of the week.

Still, last night saw some very popcorn-worthy drama from the Left. Even before he was selected, the media was characterizing the pick as “controversial.” MSNBC spend a segment discussing ways in which liberals can derail this nomination. The Handmaid’s Tale, which no one watches, is now a reality…in the minds of the unhinged progressive Left. Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said he’s going to fight Kavanaugh with everything he’s got, which isn’t much to begin with. He’s going to repeal Roe v. Wade, which is liberals’ only concern. He’s anti-worker. And he’s also a pro-gun extremist—whatever that means. Oh, yeah, he’s white; that’s problematic. Great Odin’s raven, people!

LOOK: CNN Contributor Compares Christianity to ‘Sharia Law,’ Guest Walks off Show

By The Daily Wire. Conservative radio host Steve Deace walked off the set of an HLN segment on Friday after CNN contributor Dean Obeidallah compared Christianity to Sharia law. . .

“The stakes are really high in this country,” Obeidallah said. “And there are people who want to impose Christian Sharia law in this country. And what I mean by that is that they want the Bible as the law of the land.”

Deace later fired back that any comparison between Islamic Sharia law and Christianity was “preposterous,” but Obeidallah, who is very progressive, continued to push the comparison.

“Christian Sharia law in this context is simply shorthand for turning religious beliefs into the laws of the land,” Obeidallah continued. “I’m not going through the Bible. To me, that’s what Sharia is in the Muslim world, what Sharia is here. I’m not sure why you’d be upset unless you’re advocating it. I’m not suggesting you are.” (Read more from “CNN Contributor Compares Christianity to ‘Sharia Law,’ Guest Walks off Show” HERE)

Absolutely No Co-Existence With Islam

By American Thinker. Islam and the West cannot co-exist. I have warned of this many times, and I hope I have not been talking to a wall.

Fellow travelers, there is no “coexistence” in Islam, there is only subjugation or elimination of infidels. Islam believes in the rule of Islam, Caliphate to the Sunnis, and Imamate to the Shiites. Hence, to Muslims, all other forms of government represent the handiwork of Satan and infidels.

Therefore, one and all non-Islamic systems of government must be purified by Islamic fire. This is a fact.

Muslim jihadists live among us. It is only going to get worse. Jihadists consider themselves the army of Allah. They use violence as an instrument of policy. This continues to be central to Islam. Muslims war under the firmly-believed and widely-cherished set of ideas that are rabidly militaristic. No matter which side is killed, Islam is the victor, “You kill them, you go to paradise; you get killed, you go to paradise,” are two examples of exhortations to jihadism and war.

For the past twenty years or so, I have been warning to free men and women: Remain a spectator at your own peril. It is imperative that you take a stand, denounce the fraud of Islam, and do all you can to prevent Islamic fire from devouring our civilized democratic system. Tomorrow will be too late.
