The creative team behind Black Rifle Coffee released released a hilarious new video on April Fools’ Day imagining what could happen when a conservative “comes out” to his liberal family.
Needless to say, this “progressive” family isn’t welcoming of their son’s conservative “lifestyle” and his support for the Second Amendment. You could say they explode.
Check it out:
“It’s amazing how violent people get when you’re just trying to articulate an opposing viewpoint,” the conservative character says at the end.
In “tolerant” places like Hollywood, coming out as a conservative or as a Republican is more shocking than coming out as gay. Conservatives are routinely discriminated against for their viewpoints. By Bizpac Review. A controversial judge is under fire as an Oregon community is in an uproar over his treatment of a domestic violence victim.
The behavior of Multnomah County Judge Kenneth Walker during a domestic abuse sentencing hearing in January has led to multiple complaints being filed with the Oregon Judicial Fitness Commission . . .
“I don’t know if he was preoccupied or had another appointment, but he silenced me in front of my abuser,” Parks, 27, said after the hearing, according to The Oregonian. “I felt so embarrassed.”
The victim also asked herself: “Am I being hysterical?”
At sentencing, Oregon law allows victims the right to “reasonably express any views concerning the crime, the person responsible, the impact of the crime on the victims, and the need for restitution and compensatory fine.” This right has no limits on the amount of time or words. Complaints Filed About Oregon Judge’s Treatment of Domestic Violence Victim
By The Oregonian. Three victims’ rights advocates have filed complaints with the state concerning Multnomah County Circuit Judge Kenneth Walker’s behavior during a domestic abuse sentencing hearing.
On Jan. 29, Dana Parks appeared in Walker’s courtroom to deliver a victim’s impact statement she had prepared for the sentencing of her ex-boyfriend, who had pleaded guilty to felony assault IV, attempted assault and coercion. It was the second time he had been sentenced for assaulting her.
But while Parks attempted to read her statement, Walker interrupted three times and ultimately walked out of the courtroom without allowing her to finish, according to a recording of the hearing.
Complaints about Walker’s actions were filed with the Oregon Judicial Fitness Commission over the last few days by Anne Pratt, vice president of Crime Victims United; Mary Elledge, Portland chapter leader of Parents of Murdered Children; and Danielle Tudor, a rape survivor and victims advocate. By The Daily Wire. Dozens of students at Rockledge High School in Florida walked out of school on Friday in support of the Second Amendment to counter the recent attacks of far-left activists that have been calling for gun bans and a national registry.
Approximately 75 students walked out of class for the 20-minute rally carrying signs that said “guns don’t kill people, people kill people” and “I support the right to bear arms,” Florida Today reported.
“The demonstration was organized by Chloe Deaton, a sophomore, and Anna Delaney, a junior, who are part of Rockledge High’s Criminal Justice and Legal Studies Academy.”

About 75 Rockledge High School Students Walk out of Class to Support Second Amendment
By Florida Today. A group of students from Rockledge High School in Brevard County briefly walked out of class Friday to show their support for the Second Amendment. . .
Deaton — who was wearing a T-shirt that read, “my rights don’t end where your feelings begin” — said the event was meant to clear misconceptions about the Second Amendment, not support or oppose any particular political stances.
After the playing of the national anthem and “God Bless America” over the loudspeakers, she told the group of students, “We were built on certain rights and that was one of the original rights, that we should have the right to bear arms.”
Delaney read a quote from former President Ronald Reagan, who at a 1983 banquet for the National Rifle Association said, “The Constitution does not say that government shall decree the right to keep and bear arms. The Constitution says ‘… the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.'” (Read more from “About 75 Rockledge High School Students Walk out of Class to Support Second Amendment” HERE)

By The Blaze. Former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton decried what she saw as sexist remarks from many who were telling her to “go away” after her shocking loss to Donald Trump in the 2016 election . . .
Clinton made the comments before an audience at Rutgers University Thursday.
“I was really struck how people said that to me, you know, mostly people in the press for whatever reason, you know, ‘go away go away,’” she told the audience of about 5,000.
“And I had one of the young people who works for me go back and a bit of research. They never said that to any man who was not elected,” she added, implying that the criticism was coming from a sexist sentiment.

Hillary Clinton Cites Sexism in Criticism She Should Exit Political Stage
By CNN. . .Ruth Mandel, director of the university’s Eagleton Institute of Politics, had asked Clinton what her response has been to people who call for her “‘get off the public stage and shut up.'”
“They never said that to any man who was not elected,” Clinton said. “I was kind of struck by that.”
She went on to reference former presidential contenders who had lost their bid for the White House but did not shrink away from political discussion.
“I’m really glad that, you know, Al Gore didn’t stop talking about climate change,” Clinton said of the former Democratic vice president who ran for president in 2000.
She continued, “And I’m really glad John Kerry went to the Senate and became an excellent secretary of state.”
“And I’m really glad John McCain kept speaking out and standing up and saying what he had to say,” Clinton said of the Arizona Republican. (Read more from “Hillary Clinton Cites Sexism in Criticism She Should Exit Political Stage” HERE)

By The Daily Caller. Hillary Clinton gave a talk at Rutgers University Thursday and at one point the moderator invoked Nazism when talking about what “could happen” in America.
Clinton’s response may leave your head scratching.
The moderator said, “As someone who grew up in Vienna and barely escaped the Holocaust, my mother would say from time to time that it could happen here. And, I was–I would be very dismissive of that. I would dismiss it and I would dismiss her comments and her fears as implausible.”
“I now find–it’s shocking I’m even about to ask this question–but, I do want you to talk about, what are your concerns about the stability of our democratic institutions and structures in these tumultuous moments? And what for you is the essence of American democracy?”
Hillary’s long-winded response to the invocation of Nazism in comparison to America touched on a number of things, including the “absolutely essential role of the press.”
“Well, I am fundamentally optimistic and hopeful, but I don’t think that optimism and hope is warranted unless we do what we’re supposed to do as citizens,” Clinton said. “And so, I worry about the degradation of institutions, the dismissing of norms and values–because remember, a democracy is fundamentally held together by trust.” (Read more from “WATCH: Moderator Invokes Nazism When Talking About America — Hillary Has BIZARRE Response” HERE)

Clinton Calls 2016 Election ‘Traumatic,’ Admits She’d Like to ‘Take Back’ Some Things She Said
By Fox News. Almost a year and a half since losing her bid for president, former Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton still is talking about election woes, calling it a “traumatic” experience.
Speaking at Rutgers University Thursday, Clinton spoke primarily about being a woman in politics — and being targeted as a result, the problem Republicans face as a disjointed unit, the upcoming elections and her hopes that the recent events under the Trump administration would motivate people enough to vote for change.
When asked about being told to get off the public stage and “shut up,” Clinton said she was “struck” by the fact that “they never said that to any man,” citing unsourced research from “one of the young people” on her staff.
Clinton also mentioned being called “shrill” by the media, which she said never commented on her opponent’s habit of “finger waving.”
“It’s about time that women were allowed to be themselves the way men are allowed to be themselves,” she said. (Read more from “Clinton Calls 2016 Election ‘Traumatic,’ Admits She’d Like to ‘Take Back’ Some Things She Said” HERE)

Former Vice President Joe Biden says he wanted to cut taxes for the middle class during the final years in the White House in order to give Americans tangible proof of the Obama administration’s accomplishments.
“We had the big debate about what our focus should be on the economy in the last two years,” Biden said in an interview on Pod Save America, a podcast hosted by four Obama administration alumni. “The president let me come in with my team to make a presentation that we should have a middle class tax cut. The economists came in and said, ‘well, that’s not going to stimulate the economy.’”
Biden said that he and his advisers debated with other economists for two days in the Roosevelt Room of the White House, but in the end the administration declined to push for tax cuts. “What I was trying to do was actually demonstrate tangibly that we’re listening,” Biden said.
The conversation was sparked by what former President Barack Obama should have done in the last years of his administration to prove that his economic policies were working for the American people.
“I wish we could have done again going back as I wish we had let people know simultaneously ‘this is what we’re doing. By the way the reason why you are bum-bum-bum this is why. The reason why this job came back is because of — this is what we did the reason,’” Biden said. ‘Roseanne’ Reboot Sprang From ABC’s Heartland Strategy After Trump’s Victory
By New York Times. On the morning after the 2016 election, a group of nearly a dozen ABC executives gathered at their Burbank, Calif., headquarters to determine what Donald J. Trump’s victory meant for the network’s future . . .
They began asking themselves which audiences they were not serving well and what they could do to better live up to the company name — the American Broadcasting Company. By the meeting’s end, they had in place the beginnings of a revised strategy that led the network to reboot a past hit centered on a struggling Midwestern family, a show that had a chance to appeal to the voters who had helped put Mr. Trump in the White House.
On Tuesday night, the strategy proved more successful than the executives had hoped: “Roseanne” premiered to the highest ratings for any network sitcom in almost four years. (Read more from “‘Roseanne’ Reboot Sprang From ABC’s Heartland Strategy After Trump’s Victory’ HERE)

By WND. Nowadays a picture is worth a suspension from school.
At least for a Connecticut high school student who posted an image of a toy gun on his social media. On his own time, and away from school.
Cassidento, a senior at Amity High Regional School, immediately was suspended.
And then he was arrested as a juvenile.
It was an image of an “airsoft gun,” on Snapchat, the report said. (Read more from “Snapchat Photo of Fake Gun Gets Student Suspended” HERE)

High School Senior Suspended After Posting Picture of Airsoft Gun on Social Media
By Noelle Gardner. A high school student was suspended and arrested after posting an image of a toy gun on social media.
Zach Cassidento, a high school senior at Amity High Regional School was suspended and arrested as a juvenile after he posted a picture of a toy gun, or what’s called an “airsoft gun,” on Snapchat.
Zach said, “I didn’t want to put any words and someone misinterpret it as a threat so I figured I posted this picture on my own time, on my property.”
The words “have a nice day” with a happy face is part of the gun’s design. The senior told News 8 his hobby is playing with toy guns and he thought posting the picture was harmless.
Zach added, “I took a picture. It was about half way up the barrel of the gun. It showed the trigger. It showed the magazine. And it cut off just by the stock. It also showed the chamber open with no bullet in there and the warning sticker stating that it is a toy gun.” (Read more from “High School Senior Suspended After Posting Picture of Airsoft Gun on Social Media” HERE)
In an interview Tuesday with Tucker Carlson, Julianne Benzel, an AP American History teacher in Sacramento who was put on paid leave for raising questions about the student gun control walkout, mentioned a development that is sure to stir things up in the district.
After giving Carlson a summary of the rather stunning sequence of events surrounding her temporary suspension and rapid reinstatement, Benzel revealed that a student had decided to test whether or not the school had a “double standard” when it comes to causes it officially endorses. The student has petitioned the school to allow him and others to walk out to protest abortion.
The student’s decision to organize a pro-life walkout was in part inspired by the very question that triggered administrators to initially put Benzel on paid leave. As Benzel described in an interview with The Daily Wire, in her classes on Thursday and Friday before National Walkout Day, Benzel asked her students to consider if it is wise policy for the school to allow students to walk out for a political cause. By backing a gun control demonstration, does the school now have to back a pro-life demonstration? Benzel asked students to consider the ramifications and encouraged them to discuss the issue with their parents.

By The Blaze. Vegan animal activists were shocked at how a restaurant owner got revenge against them for protesting his business for weeks – and they recorded their own horrified reaction . . .
On Friday, animal rights activists were protesting Antler, a restaurant specializing in “local seasonal and wild foods” including boar, duck and deer. It was their fourth protest targeting the restaurant.
But one of the co-owners turned the tables on them when he whipped out a deer leg and started butchering it on a table in full view of the vegan protesters.
Michael Hunter, who is also a chef, “brought out an entire animal leg and started cutting it up right in the window on a table reserved for diners,” according to the protesters.
“Once the deer was cooked Michael Hunter, owner of Antler, sat back down at the window to eat the dead deer,” said one of the protest organizers, who opined that he was taunting them with his carnivorous ostentatiousness. Toronto Restaurant Shocks Vegans Protesting Meat
By Blogto. At one point, a couple of police officers arrive and go into the restaurant. They are seen speaking to Hunter as he continues to prepare the meat.
After about a minute, Hunter packs up his tools and meat. Both he and the police officers are then seen smiling as they walk away.
“I’m not sure if the police were telling the owner to stop for trying to anger the protestors, or for ethical or health & safety violations,” said Goldberg. “I just think this is very disturbing.”
When asked about the protest, Antler said by email that “our identity as a restaurant is well known throughout the city as is our ethical farming and foraging initiatives.”
“While we would much rather not be the focus of these protests, we are not at all surprised,” said Hunter. (Read more from “Toronto Restaurant Shocks Vegans Protesting Meat” HERE)
